ooman: oh you are dreaming. simulations are done daily on theories. You really need to learn before saying things
Err, simulation? simulations are also based on assumptions, they are not based on fact. Basically, evolution is still a theory because it can't be backed up with evidence.

PAGAN 9JA:
do you need to observe from the beginning how Garriwater was made to know that is was made by mixing Garri with Water huh
I don't have to observe it because it is an action that I can easily re-enact. The same can't be said of evolution.
Christianity EtcRe: Finally, Evolution Of Man Proved Beyond Doubt by inspiredbyGOD(m): 7:03pm On Mar 04, 2013
ooman: You would be entitled to a reasonable reply if you could offer any single proof, just one proof of creation of man from dust.

however, i feel compelled to answer. Evolution is based on maths and observation - FACT
Observation? Evolution is purely guess work. None of us were at the beginning to observe anything.

Uyi Iredia: MY answer to these questions is that one should have skepticism towardss the Bible.
skepticism never gives answers, it just creates room for more questions.
Christianity EtcRe: Finally, Evolution Of Man Proved Beyond Doubt by inspiredbyGOD(m): 6:41pm On Mar 04, 2013
hmmmmn, it takes a lot of faith to believe in something like evolution. My question might sound stupid but you should at least try to answer them.

My first question is

* is evolution based on fact or is it just a belief system?

striktlymi: Experiencing God is very great and leaves one feeling alive and wanting to do good things for him but doing those good things is entirely subject to your free will. Very few persons have had the opportunity of experiencing God 'directly' and for others the experience had to come indirectly via his creation. There are a lot of persons who have been on the path to self discovery. This is the path that you are on right now...this stage of your life is very crucial and it is important that you give it the importance that it deserves.

The path to discovering God can be met with some internal struggles but this is perfectly normal, what is needed on your part is a true desire to know him. I am yet to see one who is truly open to discovering God without getting his thirst quenched. Prayer, sincerity, actions and patience are very key on this journey. Read good books, be open to what is true...science is a good way of discovering the wonders of God's creation...be open to God's spirit! Whoever seek diligently MUST find him!
Thanks once again. You really are a blessing. May your light keep shining!

alfaman2: I agree. You need serious psychological help. However you are seeking it in the wrong area.

You also need to get out more and interact with real humans.
How do you explain the fact that these things started happening to me when I started to doubt the existence of God? And ummm, where can I meet real humans? (since the ones I interact with are all figments of my imagination)

^^^ The word used in the bible was "heavens" and not "heaven" ( note the "s" ) . What this means is that they were building a tower reaching the skies and not "heaven" like you are trying to indicate. From your further explanations, are you insinuating that God is afraid of man's unity?
Christianity EtcI Need Help! by inspiredbyGOD(op): 8:45am On Mar 04, 2013
A few months ago, I started to doubt that the God potrayed in the bible is the creator of the universe (and everything in it). I started to doubt the very existence of God and His son. Soon enough, I started drifting back into sin (lieing, cheating, masturbating, immoral thoughts, envy, worrying about meaningless things). I feel like I have lost direction in life. The truth is, I still have my doubts but I'm ready place my trust in God and follow Christ the way I used to do (I was at peace with myself and the world) & hopefully someday I will get answers to all my questions. This free-thinking stuff isn't for me. I just have this conviction that CHRIST is the only person that can give my life a meaning. I want to build a better relationship with Christ, so today I will ask for forgiveness and ask for the grace to never backslide again. I humbly ask every believer on this forum to remember me in prayers (and I mean serious prayers). Also I need steps on how to live a life devoid of sin.

Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Know The Right Religion Or The Right God?. . . by inspiredbyGOD(m): 8:28pm On Mar 03, 2013
musKeeto: why then would you call it faith? If everyone knew how to 'work' this faith thing, we would all go to heaven. But somehow, God in his infinite mercy made it quite difficult to differentiate faith and madness.
I still wonder what the point of life is if God already knows how everything will end(He knows those that have been marked for salvation and those who are headed for destruction, infact, it's all part of His plan).

delkuf: @inspired, no body will die b4 knwing d truth, we knw the truth because d Spirit of God has/will reveal it to us
How does the Spirit of God communicate with man? Is it through human language, dreams, visions etc. I believe that the Spirit of God should be different from the human mind and should actually SPEAK to man (anything other than this is hogwash).
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Know The Right Religion Or The Right God?. . . by inspiredbyGOD(m): 8:03pm On Mar 03, 2013
Image123: hehehe have you been able to prove that there is no God? when you die, you'll know, don't be so bothered like us na.
This is what I don't understand. Why do we have to die first? Isn't there a way for us to know while we're still alive?
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Know The Right Religion Or The Right God?. . . by inspiredbyGOD(m): 1:54pm On Mar 03, 2013
Every adherent to a particular religion believes his own to be the best and right path to God and that every other person who doesn't follow their religion is headed for damnation/destruction. But the bottom line is that no one really knows anything for sure since we have to die first before realising what the truth is. Some just follow a particular religion for fear of the unknown. Most religions use fear to keep people in check (Christianity '
& Islam- hellfire, Hinduism- reincarnation as an animal etc.) . You are never told to do the right thing because it is the right thing to do; you are told to do the right thing because of a reward in the afterlife (I wonder how many people would continue doing "good" if there were no reward attached). No particular religion can claim to be the right path to God cos they are basically all the same.

Don't expect to get any answer to your questions, why don't you ask the Holy Spirit instead (this is not mockery).

Christianity EtcRe: Would You Have Believed Jesus To Be The Son Of God If You Were Born In His Time? by inspiredbyGOD(op): 8:35am On Mar 01, 2013
striktlymi: Good morning Inspired,

This really is 'food for our thoughts'. In this age of "show me where it is in sacred scriptures' it would have been very difficult for a lot of us to have accepted Jesus given that some things done by him and his apostles were not in line with the scriptures as we knew it. For a lot of us, the thinking would be: if it is not scriptural then we will not accept.

As an individual, I really do not know what I would have done. A lot of factors have come to play in making me a Christian in the first place. If those factors were present at the time Jesus walked the Earth then I will say: Yes I would have accepted him but if not I might have been one of those to scream: Crucify him!!!

We really can't be sure what we would have done then. I am just glad I accepted Christianity.

Thank you!
Have you always been a Christian? Or did something fantastic/spectacular/unbelievable happen that convinced you that Christianity is the right path to God?
Christianity EtcRe: Would You Have Believed Jesus To Be The Son Of God If You Were Born In His Time? by inspiredbyGOD(op): 8:31am On Mar 01, 2013
delkuf: As for quetn, i will ask u one quetn, how come u came to believe that Jesus is d son Of God now. because it doesnt make sense. As for wuld have believe more, if i was born during d time Christ was born
At a very young age, I had been asking myself this very same question. During Sunday school then, i was told that Jesus is the Son of God and i believed because i was a naive young child (besides if i probed my Sunday school teachers with such questions, they would have thought of me as demon-possessed). So, i believe now because i have believed it to be true ever since i was a child (it's kind of hard to just dismiss it as false now).
Christianity EtcWould You Have Believed Jesus To Be The Son Of God If You Were Born In His Time? by inspiredbyGOD(op): 7:36am On Mar 01, 2013
I always wondered why the jews/pharisees/saducees refused to believe that Jesus was/is the Son of God. Was it because the belief that God had/has a son sounded ridiculous to them or were they just spiritually blind. They were expecting a messiah that would free them from the oppression of the Romans but instead they got someone claiming to be God's actual son. So, a thought came to my mind, what if i was born during the time of Jesus? Would i have believed His claim of being God's begotten son? it would have been hard for me to believe cos I would have asked Him a lot of questions. Questions about God and the purpose of man in such a large universe. To be honest as much as i would like to delude myself that i would have believed Him, i don't think i would have believed (maybe that's the reason i wasn't born then). So over to Christians (and every other person) would you have believed Jesus to be the Son of God if you were born in His time?

Ubenedictus: and i remember correctly that you protestants insult catholics every week on nl, on the charge of idolatry. Atleast d catholic pray to a human being not an object.
i am not a protestant (whatever that means). Most times, you need an object before you can feel any connection with God. What is the point of the rosary?
Christianity EtcRe: Penticostal Protestants Are Idol Worshippers (account From An Eye Witness) by inspiredbyGOD(m): 6:51pm On Feb 16, 2013
Lovethywilbedon: Where are the vibrant penticostals protestants of Nairaland. Come and defend your faith. All you were taught is to attack and attack, come do some defending let me see how good you are with that.
Defend what exactly? And for the record, I am not a protestant or a pentecostal or whatever fancy name you come up with for anyone who does not subscribe to the catholic doctrine. You kneel down in front of Mary's image to pray and they knelt down in front of their bibles to pray. What is the difference between what you are both doing?
Christianity EtcRe: Penticostal Protestants Are Idol Worshippers (account From An Eye Witness) by inspiredbyGOD(m): 11:43pm On Feb 14, 2013
What sort of double standard hypocrisy is this?
You do the same thing with images of Mary and Jesus. Heck you even pray to Mary and make her out as the mediator between man and God. Just live and let live, you are no better than them.
Christianity EtcRe: Catholics Make The Best Atheists Because They Know One Basic Truth......... by inspiredbyGOD(m): 11:18am On Feb 14, 2013
MacDaddy01: Yawn, is your understanding of the apostles not a result of the catholics choosing what books in the new testament to put?
And once again, Catholics were not the sole compilers of the bible. Churches worldwide all had a say in the compilation.
Christianity EtcRe: Catholics Make The Best Atheists Because They Know One Basic Truth......... by inspiredbyGOD(m): 10:52am On Feb 14, 2013
MacDaddy01: You must be bad with history
You have no idea about what I'm talking about. The Apostles and early Christians were never called Catholics, they never practised what the Catholics are now doing. Christianity as we now know it started it's downward spiral when Constantine converted for political reasons. But God knows those that are His (and He isn't bound to any one denomination).
Christianity EtcRe: Catholics Make The Best Atheists Because They Know One Basic Truth......... by inspiredbyGOD(m): 9:47am On Feb 14, 2013
chukwudi44: Yes if catholicism is false then christianity is false.catholics have had the greatest influence in xtian history from selecting the books of the bible to deciding key doctrinal issues!!

The gospels were anonymous,it was the catholic church that told the rest of christiandom who wrote them .yes if the catholics are wrong then the gospels are wrong and xtianity is also wrong!!!
Christianity isn't bound to any one denomination so if Catholicism is false, then Catholicism is false not Christianity. The true Church is the spiritual Church. The body of believers all over the world (not bound by denomination but one in Christ).
Christianity EtcRe: Catholics Make The Best Atheists Because They Know One Basic Truth......... by inspiredbyGOD(m): 9:35pm On Feb 13, 2013
chukwudi44: You do not know much about how the bible was compiled yet you are here spewing trash!! Which other denominations were involved? Do you mind naming them? Even the orthodox churches who were the first to leave the catholic church also recognise this books.some of them even use more than the 73 the catholic church uses.

The deuterocanonical books which were part of the septuagint which was used by even the apostles are recognised by all churches of apostolic origin which existed before the protestant reformation.
Last time I checked, this thread was not about which church compiled the bible. It is about Catholics being the best atheist & Christianity being false because of Catholic doctrines. It would be better if you addressed the thread topic instead of deviating.
* Do Catholics make the best atheist?
* If the Catholic doctrine is false, does that mean that Christianity as a whole is false?
Christianity EtcRe: Tithe Theives by inspiredbyGOD(m): 9:24pm On Feb 13, 2013
You don't give tithe, you pay tithe. Don't you know that it is displeasing not to pay your tithe. Tithing as practised today is needed to care for the homeless angels in heaven and to provide upkeep for the cherubims. @op, you had better stop all this anti-tithing preaching.
