When I saw the headline, I immediately concluded that this judgement must surely come from a female Judge, not that I have anything against the judgement though.
I hope if the reverse should be the case, this judgement should also apply.
I have seen women who possess valuable properties and then her family comes to take over her properties after her unfortunate demise.
I believe the defendant can appeal this judgement and win. He would only have to compensate the wife. How can a judge be making reference to a law in England to give judgement in a Nigerian court, I don't understand this perhaps lawyers in the house can make clarifications as regards this.
"Constructive Trust" is there something like that in property law in Nigeria?? |

Aonkuuse: The Muslims are lobbying while Christians are on social media and church altars lamenting, if Muslims form majority of Tinubu's cabinet now, everyone will be shouting Marginalization. This is why I don't take my Christian brothers seriously. Should there even be lobbying based on religious sentiment in the first place I hope tinubu will balance things based on merit. When a president and vice are both Muslims, it can only make the Muslim feel they own the government and should get more positions. |

real777: More so hang the prepaid meters on poles and make sure to install surveillance software devices to monitor each customers automatically. It detects those stealing electricity. Hanging of wires at night can be tracked.
And lastly, the meters must not be those manipulated in China in other to shortchange nigerians by discos..
I paid #68.56 per kilowatt in my area and this price is little on a high side looking at our popular and minimum wage. Compare with advanced economy like US, Canada, UK, Russia, Europe.
Electricity theft, bypassing, and meter manipulations is the biggest issue in the electricity sector and this is what gave rise to estimated billing. DISCOs are too lazy to cut these issues from the root. Estimated billing is an easy way out for them rather than invest massively in securing electricity leakages. If we had planned our cities & villages well, nobody would have be hanging wires to steal electricity. Even in my own street, massive electricity theft do take place including my father's tenants stealing electricity and passing it to the single meter because it is a passage house. A tenants pays a total of #5,500 and uses iron and co and the end, landlord pays 25k energy bill a month. Nigerians are using energy they can't afford paying.
Let's meter Nigeria well and see country men refusing to even charge phone of less than 15 watts for their neighbours. I agree 👍👍👍 |

I am not sure! Do you know how many lives that hospital would have saved I'm trying to understand why you would say she is bitter, perhaps you have never experienced a relative who died helplessly due to the bad state of our health care system in Nigeria. |

You don't have to pay for licenses when the car is off-road for one year. You would pay for those years the car have been off the road. Except you push the debts to another person by selling off the car to a new buyer. Every year will be paid for whether you are on or off the road. |
