TOPIC: Self-esteem Empowerment

Luke 5:10 ‬
and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”

*Message*

While God is unchangeable and unchanging, He is not stagnant, stale, or obsolete. In the book of Revelation, when John the Revelator had the rare privilege of peeping into the glorious space of God's throne in Heaven, the Apostle saw 24 elders who couldn't stop falling prostrate to worship God - as they kept having fresher revelation of the different dimensions of His glorious excellence (and they have been having various unique displays of His multifaceted dimensions for all of eternity).

*You see, we must keep contending for fresher revelations of how God sees and regards us, as it is a very strong strategy for self-esteem empowerment. Simon Peter had always considered himself a dirty sinner who deserved nothing good, until he had his first encounter with Jesus (Luke 5), and the LORD empowered his self-worth to see himself as a "Fisher of men" who would play a big role in God's eternal agenda. His life will never remain the same.*

Months later, Peter failed the LORD by denying him thrice, and he started slipping into weakness again. However, he had a fresh encounter with Jesus (John 21) where he once again saw himself as the LORD sees him, and his self-esteem was empowered yet again. You might have started seeing yourself way below how God sees you, but a fresher encounter with Him today will grant you fresher revelations of how highly He regards you.

TOPIC: If Nothing Is Worth Dying For, Nothing Is Worth Living For

I John 4:7 ‬
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

*Message*

If nothing is worth dying for, nothing is worth living for. Jesus made us realize the truth that the only way to live abundantly is to first die to self-interest and then offer yourself totally to God as well as anyone around you in need of what the LORD has blessed you with.

*As a child of God, you are empowered to have a high and healthy self-esteem - but you mustn't be selfish and self-centered. When you are only obsessed with yourself, you end up losing the meaning of life. Life is sweet and tasty when you love and serve God, and you're empowered based on that to love and serve your neighbors.*

Without a commitment to the well-being of others, our individual lives are prone to being barren and bitter. Without an adequate commitment to the well-being of those God has strategically placed around you, our individual lives are prone to lack meaning and purpose. Indeed, if nothing is worth dying for, then nothing is worth living for.

*Message*

*Your natural talents and gifts are a demonstration of God's love and attempts of continual empowerment to ensure you keep soaring and become successful in destiny. You may not be born into a privileged home or organized society filled with prosperity, but every one of us was created by the perfect God with natural talents and gifts that can empower us to greatness. So, in God's wisdom, He ensures none of us is disadvantaged.*

All you need to do is to decide to invest your time, energy, and resources into your core strengths, after discovering what they are. The areas of your natural abilities are some of the most potential directions to get your highest return. The Creator already blessed you with natural talents and gifts that make you unique. But you must discover them and develop them.

A lot of people feel they don't have any unique talent. No, you do. No one is born without talent, including you. At times, people undermine certain natural abilities they possess since it's not fashionable and loud. But even the most seemingly insignificant ability can be shaped into an empowering tool that will make you a global phenomenon. Spend time with God in prayer and His word, and you will always see what to do.

TOPIC: What To Do When In A Bad Condition

Mark 5:28‬
For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

*Message*

In the book of Mark, we saw a woman with a terrible issue of blood flow that has been on for 12 years. She has spent all her money on the condition and has made the doctors rich - but they still couldn't help her get well.

The problem is one that prevented her from living a quality life in several ways. As a wife, her husband couldn't touch her sexually - for 12 years. The condition made it impossible for her to give birth, denying her the joy of motherhood. She couldn't even practice her religion as she was prohibited from entering the temple. As a matter of fact, anything she touched was considered unclean.

However, she thought within herself, "If I can just touch Jesus", and that ignited her journey into the miraculous. But take note of the fact that before she could get to Jesus, she had to first deal with a crowd hindering her from getting to the LORD. The crowds would have given her different opinions that should have discouraged her - but her faith just won't make her stop.

*When faced with tough issues and you find yourself in a bad condition, don't embrace misery, but aim to touch Jesus. You can always press through the hindrances and discouragement and touch the One who can introduce you to the miraculous, again and again.*

TOPIC: Blessings That Resides In Tough Places

Genesis 41:9‬
Then the chief butler spoke to Pharaoh, saying: “I remember my faults this day.


*Message*

Certain things must be in place for you to soar to your glorious heights in life. Some people have the configurations (resources, connections, etc) that God will utilize and compel to be stepping stones into your promised lands. Amazingly, many of them might not look like it, and you will meet them in the most unlikely places and situations.

Joseph would have thought Potiphar would be his destiny helper which would lead to his enthronement in fulfilment of his rulership dreams. However, the best thing Potiphar could offer him was to remain the head of househelps in his house. But in God's wisdom, the prison was the place Joseph was to connect with the person (Pharaoh's servant) who had the connection to lead him to the ruler who would get him enthroned.

*Prison life is tough, but it was instrumental in the fulfillment of Joseph's destiny. You might be going through some tough situations too at the moment, but make sure you don't blind yourself to see the people and things God has placed around you for your eventual glorification. Don't miss out on the blessings that reside in tough places. Choose to see the blessings of the LORD that reside in tough uncomfortable times and situations.*

TOPIC: Destined To Be A Prime Minister, Ended Up As The Head Of Houseboys

‭Genesis 39:10

So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.

*Message*

Joseph was destined to be a Prime Minister and a global enigma that would be relevant for all of eternity, but he had to go through a parallel path at certain points where he found himself as the head of househelps in a strange land. Of course, Joseph would eventually become the Prime Minister of Egypt - a world power, but he would have ended up becoming the head of the househelps in Portiphar's house all the days of his life, should he have compromised and committed sexual immorality with the wife of his boss in the face of the pressure.

After compromising, Joseph could have asked God for forgiveness, and God will forgive him quite all right. But he would have remained the beloved of his master and his wife and would have served them as the chief of houseboys forever. There's a possibility that he would have to keep servicing his little compromise by continually sleeping with his master's wife so he won't fall into trouble. Yes, we know God is always merciful to forgive, and He will keep forgiving Joseph - but he will only grow old into a veteran houseboy!

*Imagine getting to heaven only to discover that you couldn't get close to the fulfillment of your destiny simply because of a small compromise. A small compromise here and there from God's standard, could cost you a lot in destiny. There will always be opportunities to compromise, and you might even go scot-free without anyone suspecting - but always remember that each compromising step hurts your future and destiny one way or the other.*

When faced with the pressure to compromise and do something wrong, always remember that Joseph stood his ground and it paid off eventually.

TOPIC: Don't Settle For Less In This Life

Genesis 1:26‬
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

*Message*

*Decide not to settle for anything less than the quality of life God has destined for you even before you were born. That can only be a possibility when you take steps towards embracing your destiny. Your destiny is to have a righteous intimate relationship with God which is eternal in nature, through faith in Christ Jesus, and based on that relationship, you are empowered with the Holy Ghost to have dominion over creation and won't be a slave to anything negative (including satan, sin, self, sickness, poverty, hell, etc).*

A life less than this reality is a mediocre one.

It is for your own good to see to it that you sustain an intimate relationship with the LORD as you make Him your sweetheart above anything and everything else. You should be filled with the Holy Ghost and commune with Him in spirit and in truth - which thus empowers you to have dominion.

It is fulfilling to exhibit dominion in a measure over creation (over the earth, over the resources embedded in the earth, over the systems that govern the operations of the earth, and to also have a form of influence over some people).

It is God's Will that you should start living out your dominion and authority over satan and his kingdom, over sin, sickness, death, and anything negative. If you are still a slave to anything negative, you should declare a state of emergency over your life and first focus on growing in the consciousness of your dominion and authority in Christ

TOPIC: Don't Settle For Another Form Of Slavery

Galatians 4:1 ‬
[1] Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all,

*Message*

*Galatians 4:1 is yet another truth that should propel you to embrace maturity as quickly as possible. Before coming to Christ as you surrendered your heart to Him and embraced Him as Lord and Savior, you have been a slave to sin and self and satan. As a born-again Christian, you obtained freedom through the finished works of Christ upon which your faith is built. However, remaining a babe in the faith is akin to settling for another form of slavery, as you won't be able to attain the heights and realities awaiting your destiny in a childish version of yourself.*

After putting your faith in Christ Jesus, you get started off on the level of babyhood in the faith. A baby does what he or she wants without shame, and we ignore their babyish acts because we know they are not yet mature. But then, there are responsibilities you can't entrust into the hands of a baby.

However, after some time, the baby is expected to grow into adulthood and will be punished if he or she still displays a babyish act. Same here with the faith. A baby Christian is expected to grow into maturity after some time and should grow from childhood to sonship.

And the way you identify a mature believer is through their submission to the government of the Holy Spirit.

In other words, such a mature believer only do the things God wants them to do, and not what they feel like doing (unlike a baby Christian who only acts based on their own feelings or interests). This level depicts true liberty that extends to all of eternity.

TOPIC: Death To Life
‭
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."(Romans 6:23)

*Message*

After Adam and Eve sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, mankind lost a large chunk of the divine configuration we were created with, and the average human no longer has a strong attachment with the things of heaven but rather prioritizes the carnal pleasures of earth that make us unmindful and rebellious to God's eternal agenda.

The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. What happened after Adam and Eve sinned was that they (and their offspring) died.

Remember, God already informed them ahead: ‭

"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:17)

The death in question was beyond a physical affair (although physical death also became one of the consequences eventually), it was more defined as a separation between mankind and God their Source, which resulted in a degradation of the quality of existence.

*So, the average person you see out there that came from the loins of Adam and Eve is a dead person, a walking corpse. For them to be a living creature, they must have been injected with eternal life (the life of God) through faith in Christ Jesus (John 3:16).*

3. Fulfilling destiny already

First, the person should have started fulfilling their personal unique life purpose. Our life purpose (what we are meant to do on earth) are tool for our eternal destiny. They are pathways that contribute to us becoming all that the Lord has destined us to be in all of eternity.

Before a person should get occupied with the busyness of marriage, they should have first discovered themselves in their singlehood. They should have first discovered their life purpose (the paths God would have you thread on earth) and should have started going that path - already experiencing the fulfillment of doing what God would have you do even while still single.

Such should have discovered their talents and spiritual gifts (as well as other necessary skills they can learn) that can be utilized to become all the Lord has destined them to be in eternity.

Finally, if your dating partner is a female, she must have already embraced the destiny of a wife -i.e she already knew the conduct of a good wife and is already displaying it around her even before being married (I explained this better in my book "Getting A Correct Lady To Say Yes To Your Marriage Proposal).

If your dating partner is a male, he must have already embraced the destiny of husbandhood - which primarily revolves around acting and exhibiting leadership that can guarantee the woman protection and security, even before he becomes married (I also explained this better in the book "Getting A Correct Guy To Propose Marriage To You".

Follow godly principles in all things, you won't experience many of the heartaches and headaches the average young person is experiencing in this generation.

We know this is a woke generation that's quick to challenge wise counsel that encourages proper conduct - and the average young person today just wants to be allowed to do what they want unrestricted. But, come to think of it, with all our wokeness, where have we been heading? In the area of marriage, for instance, a lot of folks have replaced ancient principles that guarantee success in marriage, with woke liberty to do whatever they want. The result? Emotional trauma, high divorce, suicide, etc.

Hence, you should pay serious attention to ancient and proven wisdom that will guarantee success as far as the ancient institution known as marriage is concerned (hey, marriage is way older than you, you shouldn't approach it just as driven by your feelings or what you think).

Having said all this, let's go into the subject at hand.

When Your Dating Partner Is Disturbing You For Marriage

In a previous post, I summarised the protocol to be observed from the point of dating someone to the point of being wedded (you can read it here https://www.nairaland.com/8075548/what-girlfriend-disturbing-sex)

Now, let's say you were ignorant of the knowledge of when and how and who to start a relationship with, and you are currently with someone, and the person has been disturbing you for marriage, you should first check them out keenly before you decide if you should agree to marry them or go your separate ways (yes, if you can't marry someone, you have no business wasting your time dating in the first place).

Here are basic things to look out for from the person you want to marry:

1. Must Be Genuinely Saved

A person who is not saved will struggle to be a good person and to do you good perpetually. The person might think and make you feel they love you and won't do anything to hurt you, but if they don't have a good relationship with God (who is Love), how can they know how to love? True love can only be imparted upon a person by God, and folks who don't have a good relationship with the LORD can't know how to define and give true love (so they keep mixing up lust for love).

The way to salvation is to have faith in Christ Jesus, embrace Him as Lord and Savior, and repent from anything sinful. Through faith in Jesus Christ, a person is injected with eternal life (the life of God) and becomes a living and new creature.

2. Must Be Submitted To the Holy Spirit

After embracing Jesus as Lord and Savior, we get started off on the cadre of babyhood in the faith. A baby does what he or she wants without shame, and we ignore their babyish acts because we know they are not yet mature. However, a baby Christian is expected to grow into maturity after some time and should grow from childhood to sonship.

And the way you identify a mature believer is through their submission to the government of the Holy Spirit.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." Romans 8:14‬‬

In other words, such a mature believer only do the things God wants them to do, and not what they feel like doing. You can rest assured that such a person won't intentionally set out to do what will hurt you in marriage.

TOPIC: Complacency Kills Passion (Part 3)

Nehemiah 2:5‬
[5] And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ tombs, that I may rebuild it.”

*Message*

We have said repeatedly that to become all that God has destined you to be, you must always take steps out of your comfort zone. When you have mastered your strength zone, you should always carry your strength zone with you and won't be scared of confronting unfamiliar zones outside your comfort zone. This is important because complacency kills passion and it reduces a person to average.

Nehemiah, who was already flourishing as an important official in the King's Palace, chose to leave the comfort for the tough task of rebuilding Jerusalem. Now, the good thing was that, immediately Nehemiah got to know that he was destined for this work, he started strategizing how to get at it straight away. This is important because he realized that as more weeks meet him at the Palace, not attending to his destiny in Jerusalem, it becomes tougher and tougher to fulfill his purpose.

The more Nehemiah stayed in his comfort zone in the Palace, the greater the responsibilities the king would give him, and he wouldn't just have the time and chance to do what God would have him do at Jerusalem. This is similar to the multitudes of people around the world who have been encumbered with their jobs and are sapped from fulfilling their purpose.

*Also, Nehemiah was aware that if he didn't embrace God's assignment of arising to rebuild Jerusalem, God would raise someone else. If you don't step out of your comfort zone to do what God would have you do, someone else will.*

TOPIC: Complacency Kills Passion (Part 2)

Nehemiah 2:5‬
[5] And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ tombs, that I may rebuild it.”

*Message*

Anyone who is diligent enough and will embrace the right disciplines can become successful according to the world's imperfect standards. However, it takes doing what God has destined you to do to be really successful by His standards (His standard is not only true but also supersedes all other standards).

Nehemiah was already at the top of his career, working in the privileged position of being the cupbearer of a global king. He was enjoying the splendors and privileges of Palace life, and it's even sweet that he was maintaining his communion with his God too. However, before Nehemiah was born, he was destined to be the one to rebuild Jerusalem, and this became the most important thing he would give himself to.

It takes a wise man familiar with the things that really matter to decide to leave the comfort of the Palace and risk his life to embark on such a task. But Nehemiah took the steps to leave his comfort zone and embrace his destiny. This paid off abundantly! His success placed him in the league of the Bible greats that won't be forgotten for all of eternity, and he will continually be a motivation to generation after generation.

*Should Nehemiah stay fixated in his comfort zone, he will simply have been part of the multitudes who passed through this world without a heaven-attested legacy. Don't lust after leaving a legacy on earth - simply pursue what God will have you do, and whether or not the world applauds you, you will have a heaven-attested legacy that matters for all of eternity.*

By now, you should be aware that between the time you receive your vision from God and its manifestations, there are going to be a whole lot of uncertainties and challenges that will want to make you quit. Even if others should quit, passion will keep you going. When you are really passionate about your dreams and visions, the price tag won't stop you.

Now, you should also be aware that complacency could kill passion. A mother Eagle is aware of the fact that she mustn't wait for her young to get out of the nest and fly on their own initiative - because they won't do so due to the ease at which they get their stuff daily in their comfort zone. So, what the mother Eagle does is push them out of their comfort zone! It may seem as if the mother is acting wickedly, but she is only helping them learn to fly and fulfill their own destiny too.

*To become all that God has destined you to be, you must always take steps out of your comfort zone. When you have mastered your strength zone, you should always carry your strength zone with you and won't be scared of confronting unfamiliar zones outside your comfort zone. Complacency kills passion and it reduces a person to average.*

At the beginning which was captured by Genesis 1:1, God decided to embark on an interesting project of creating spaces that would be known as heaven and earth, that would become ample platforms to exhibit some of His unlimited beautiful features. However, He soon encountered some challenges as some of His creatures, led by Lucifer, rebelled against Him. These ones became evil, were cast to the earth, and ended up filling the earth with darkness that was repulsive to God based on His holiness.

However, we would see that God didn't give up nor dumped His project because He was very much passionate about the concept of creating beautiful spaces where He would place sweet inhabitants who would enjoy the bliss of worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. Hence, in the midst of the challenges and darkness, it was recorded that "...the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." (Vs 2). In other words, God, despite having every reason to dump the project, still sticks around.

After making everything new and good, years later, due to the great evil permitted to creep into the heart and environment of mankind, it was recorded: "And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. [7] So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” (Genesis 6:6-7).

*See that? Even God, at different times, wanted to give up on His projects because of the challenges that came up. But why won't He? Passion! He was passionate about His works! Anything worthwhile will encounter challenges meant to compel you into giving up. But when you're passionate, you are continually energized to keep going till you embrace success. Keep going!*

If all have been redeemed to Christ from birth, how come we all still have the mind to sin?
I thought if one is redeemed of Christ, the nature of sin gets uprooted right? But why do people still sin?

A SHORT ANSWER TO THE FIRST PART OF YOUR QUESTIONS



First, I'm trying to get your context of "been redeemed to Christ from birth" (I'm guessing you are referring to child baptism if you are Catholic, or generally how a clergy prays over a child and commits them to Jesus).

Actually, every one of us from childbirth was born into sin, which was part of the implications of the Fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. ‭

Psalms 51:5 NKJV‬

[5] Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.


You can also see Romans 3:23

Hence, every one of us must, at a point in life, intentionally decide to embrace the new life in Christ Jesus by accepting Him as Lord and Savior (which is spiritual rebirth). You are to make the confessions yourself.


Now, as a human, you have a spirit, soul, and body. Your spirit (which is your real self) is what receives eternal life. The weight of the eternal life received is strong enough to crush the nature of sin in your spirit.

However, while your spirit is born again, your body and soul are not. The wrong and sinful things you are used to before becoming born again will not just automatically be erased from your mind (which is a compartment of your soul) nor will your body suddenly stop craving those bad things.

You are the one who must partner with the Holy Spirit in your spirit to bring your soul and body into the same sanctified level as your spirit (this doesn't happen overnight, and it's something every believer must keep doing till we die).

So, actually, when you give your life to Christ genuinely, the nature of sin is dealt with - but all of these occur in your spirit. It is natural for your body and soul to still have cravings. Hence, what scripture says to do is that we should keep:

1. renewing our minds (to disciple your soul to detach itself from anything sinful, and the sinful course of this sinful age).

This is done by constantly interacting with God's word (as you study and meditate on scriptures) and experiencing Holy Ghost encounters (having personal encounters with Him in the place of prayer, worship, in congregational fellowships, etc)

The word of God cleanses us (Ephesians 5:26). Also, Paul had a powerful encounter with Jesus, and instantly, he lost his appetite for sin (Acts 9)

So, we must commit ourselves to all that will help us keep renewing our minds, and being transformed every day into the very image of Christ.

Romans 12:2 NKJV‬
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

2. Keep taming or killing the flesh.

Let's see the flesh as the residue of the nature of sin still attached to your body (and soul). We must commit ourselves, all the days of our lives, to keep taming and killing the fleshy desires attached to our imperfect bodies.

How do you do this?

A. Offering your body as a living sacrifice

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

All your attempts to turn away from anything sinful (particularly when tempted) just because you want to please God, all ascend unto Him as sweet-smelling offerings. Your body is a living sacrifice as you continually retain the consciousness (and you take aligning actions) that your body is God's temple and can't be used for anything dirty, but to only please the LORD.

B. Living Circumspectly

[15] See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,

How do you walk as wise?
By continually avoiding any person who can bring you into temptation.
By continually avoiding things that can trigger your flesh to want to sin
By continually avoiding places and situations where it is impossible to not do something wrong.

In conclusion, the issue of sin is an age-long problem that will eventually come to an end at God's appointed time. However, God has given us all we need to live above self, sin, satan, and anything else negative. God has played His part, and we too must partner with Him by being purposeful in living rightly above self, sin, satan, death, etc.

Nehemiah discovered God's purpose for him - to rebuild Jerusalem - and he set out to do the great work. Along the lines, we discovered that Nehemiah was passionate about the work and wasn't just into it for any mischievous intent - such as making a name for himself, etc.

We know how passionate the man was when he was faced with severe opposition that gave him reasonable reasons to quit. You see, it is not enough to jump off with zeal. You must be passionate about what you do because you will always be faced with opposition if you do anything reasonable in life.

*Passion is the starting point for all reasonable achievements recorded in different pages of human history. There has never been anyone (and there will never be anyone) who achieved anything of value without being passionate about it. This is important because the pathway to success is filled with all manner of challenges and disappointments.*

If you don't have the right mindset, dreams can die and be neglected forever. A lot of people went to their graves without fulfilling their dreams and destinies, as they lacked the right measure of passion to fuel them. But because Nehemiah was so passionate about rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, when his enemies tried making him quit, he told them "I am doing a great work (whether you admit it or not), and I cannot come down."

TOPIC: The City Of Refuge

The law was the core operating system of the Old Testament times, and even in its seeming harshness, the mercies and love of God are always evident. Then, if a person killed another accidentally, the family of the murdered person had the right to take the other person's life in return (an eye for an eye).

Nevertheless, God arranged six cities of refuge where the person could run to and is granted access to dwell in the city securely after informing the elders of his predicament. The avenger of blood is prohibited from entering the city of refuge to harm him again.

The cities were scattered across the nation so that everyone involved could easily have access to God's mercy and protection. However, the person must stay in that city until the death of the high priest. Only then could they return back to their families and regain all they have lost.

Now, Jesus Christ is the High Priest of our confession (Hebrews 3:1). When a sinner runs to Him for refuge, they only need to confess their sins. Then, the sinner is forgiven and becomes a new creature, placed in God's protective care. The devil, the avenger of blood, cannot cross the bloodline to harm you.

*It doesn't matter how deadly your sins are, if you go to Jesus, He will show you mercy, and on the strength of His priesthood, He will restore back to you everything you lost as a result of sin's power in your life.*

In the thirteenth verse of Philippians chapter three, Paul said "...I focus on this one thing..." (NLT). Obviously, in spite of his background and limitations, it is glaring how Paul would eventually rise to be a very prominent minister for all generations. He understood his calling from his first encounter with the LORD, and he committed himself to pursue only what matters to his destiny.

A lot of people don't eventually become successful in what really matters because they failed to live life with wisdom - not because they are not gifted or lacked opportunity. Wisdom, as far as the race of a successful life is concerned, is to know the peculiar definition of success as peculiar to your own destiny. In other words, what is success to person A might not be to person B. Hence, the one that will be truly successful is the one who will focus on what truly matters, which defines success for them.

*It's not a wise thing to always want to prove a point by getting involved in too many things. It is wisdom to streamline your life to pursue only what matters. Don't allow your time to be eaten up with things outside your core competencies, which only makes you invest little energy into developing your strengths. Focus your energy on the things that define success for you in line with your core competencies.*

Of a truth, life is lived in seasons. The earlier you sincerely realize this and make it a continual part of your life, the better for you. Anyone who doesn't understand this truth will be constantly frustrated. There are seasons for sowing, and there are seasons of painful waiting, as well as seasons for reaping.

Many times, when people find themselves at junctions where things aren't just going how they would have loved, it's normal to feel irritated and agitated. When a person has been trusting God for certain things and realities, but it's not just coming up as expected, they can get really frustrated and worn out. But it is soothing to realize that the miracle is coming, not just when you wanted it, but at God's best time, which is the right season.

*While you should keep taking appropriate steps and leaps of faith during your waiting seasons, all must be done from a place of rest, knowing fully well that the seasons of harvests and manifestations are on the way (maybe closer than you think), and the right season is the best time to get what belongs to you.*

*You may feel frustrated with the pace of your progress, but God is never in a hurry. What happens when a sower tries harvesting their plants before the season of harvest? They get everything ruined! Imagine plucking unripe mangoes, it's all a mess, right? So, as much as you so much crave a change in your fortune, God won't want the process to be ruined by your desires but will allow the gentle operations of seasons.*

Don't be in haste. Wait for your season. It will definitely come!

We were created in the very same image and likeness of God, and it's our destiny to always pursue becoming like God. Take note of the fact that the very essence and nature of the LORD is love. Hence, the most visible way of becoming like Him is by loving others. Like I enjoy saying, in spite of the fact that God is all-powerful (amongst other supernatural abilities), He is more comfortable with love, and He loves being approached as a Love Being.

*Touching the matter of love, Paul made some powerful remarks: "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing." (I Corinthians 13:3).*

Always remember that love cannot be learned in isolation, but you grow in love as you practice love intentionally with people around you - the nasty folks, the imperfect and annoying ones, etc. Whilst you have the liberty to decide the things you want your life to revolve around, Jesus summarised what matters most this way: "Love God and love people". The point of life is learning to love God and people.

*Always give priority to the things that help you grow in love with the Lord, and always give yourself to enhancing good relationships with people beyond things. Relationships, not things, are what really matters in life. When all is said and done, you will discover that relationships are what life is all about.*

TOPIC: Teach Us To Number Our Days

‭Psalms 90:12 ‬
So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

*Message*

On this joyous day, which happens to be my birthday, I decided to encourage you, my dear readers, to give greater priority to wisdom and spend the rest of your life with a very strong consciousness of eternity.

This known earth is not your permanent residence, and after a definite number of days have been completed (which only God knows), either by death or the rapture, you will be transported away from this known world, and return to a palpable space of eternity. One will either spend their eternity in heaven, which is characterized by God's intimate Presence, or the lake of fire, which is a system of punishment for those who rebelled against God.

The scripture of truth admonished us to learn to number our days with the end goal of gaining a heart of wisdom (or start living life on the frequency of divine wisdom). In other words, in our daily activities, we will always choose to remember that at the end of each day, we are getting closer to returning back to the space of eternity where God commissioned us from before we were born into this world.

*Wisdom will then tutor and compel us to always make the right choices each day to enable us to fulfill God's purpose for us on earth, while at the same time investing heavily in our eternity (the quality of your existence in eternity will be heavily dependent on your choices on earth). TOPIC: Faith And Hope

Hebrews 11:1‬
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

*Message*

Faith is one of the most cardinal things that must be constantly understood and practiced if a believer will fulfill destiny by becoming all that God has destined them to be. Faith is not an emotion but a purposeful decision to stand on God's word. Hence, our lives must always be saturated with God's word. Take note of this scripture:

*"Remember the word to Your servant, Upon which You have caused me to hope." Psalms 119:49*

Faith is not necessary when there's no hope. Hope built upon (or presented by) God's word puts in place the goal - then faith is the bridge that helps you get to it. There is a big difference between wishful thinking and God's promises via His word. Hope that was sponsored by God's promises will become a reality with the right measure of faith

When you master the keys of the kingdom, you become invincible and victorious. The Bible says: For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." (I John 5:4).

*Finally, we know that Jesus our perfect High Priest is currently making intercessions for us (Hebrews 7:25). And we know that a good chunk of His prayers for us revolves around us being strong in faith. "But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail..." Luke 22:32*
