I Peter 2:2 ‬

*Message*

You will always have various excuses for not reading the bible every day, but it's all a mirage since you will always create time for what truly matters to you. Despite your "very busy schedule", you find time to eat physical foods, sleep, and probably for relaxation on your smartphone. There is always time to study the Bible daily if you make it a priority.

I read of an old man, 84 years old, who read the bible from cover to cover some whopping 161 times. Guess what? He had the use of only one eye for over 50 years! He had several justifying excuses for not taking reading the bible seriously, but he chose to be serious with it, and he created time for God's word.

*If you fail to establish bible reading as one of your daily priorities, it will never happen. It also helps to have a sense of duty to feed yourself spiritually to remain strong. There were days when you didn't feel like going to work or writing exams - but you have to do them because duty demands. As you continue being consistent, you soon reach the stage of delight, where you are always excited to interact with God's word and will feel miserable if you've not opened the Bible.*

TOPIC: Choose Your Master Carefully (Part 3)

‭Matthew 11:28
[28] Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

*Message*

Jesus is that master who calls His servants friends, and, via the gift of adoption, made them co-heirs. See what He said:

*" No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15).*

Obviously, He never only said that merely to get them excited, but we have seen how true those words are. Even till this moment, if you are one of His genuine followers, He still treats you as a friend and talks to you about divine stuff from the heart of the Godhead.

Romans 8:17 explains that through faith in Christ Jesus, we are *"heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."*

See that? We carry His burdens together with Him, knowing fully well that there's eternal glory awaiting us as a reward (if you are a slave to the devil or any terrible addiction, you get only unending pain and headaches). Unlike insensitive and wicked masters, Jesus didn't simply cast His burdens upon us and took His hands off to relax while watching us groan with His legs crossed. Rather, He is still in the game together with us even in His exalted and glorified state.


*"Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." Romans 8:34*

This explains why His yoke is easy and light - He still helps us carry it!‬


Jesus is that master who develops intimacy with his servants and makes them empowered to be kings and priests without feeling insecure.

"Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them." (Luke 12:37).

While the devil rubbishes his servants and strips them of their self-worth, Jesus sits with you in intimacy and can do anything to make you feel bold to live out the royalty He has conferred on you.

Jesus or the devil? Choose your master carefully. As for me, I choose the Lord Jesus. How about you?

TOPIC: Choose Your Master Carefully (Part 2)

Matthew 6:24‬
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

*Message*

From Matthew 11:28-30 we see every human must serve a master and carry a form of yoke associated with who or what they've yielded themselves servant to. If you submit to anything other than the LORD (maybe self, sin, satan, immoral pleasure, etc) you will definitely carry a very heavy yoke that will drain you for all of eternity and make you an everlasting miser.

*The devil is evil and smart. He places very nasty yokes on his subjects and intermittently rewards them with bits of pleasure every now and then to deaden their senses and make them think they are living the best life. You see those folks who pledged allegiance to the devil (whether directly or indirectly), are silently suffering in their private lives (depression, drugs, frustrations, evil rituals and sacrifices, etc). But the devil will intermittently block their reasoning with some measure of fame, money, immoral pleasure, etc, and they will think they are living the best life there is.*

Wise people submit to the Lordship of Jesus and make Him their Master. Jesus is that master who takes whatever heavy yoke your cruel master has placed on you and replaces it with ease and light. When you join Jesus's ship, you gladly carry His light and easy yoke and you derive true joy and purpose doing so.

TOPIC: Choose Your Master Carefully

Matthew 11:28 ‬
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ‭

*Message*

Let's do some explorations of Matthew 11:28-30 -‬

*"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”*

Firstly, every human can't help but be a servant to something or someone (either tangible or intangible) much more eminent than themselves, and it's left to us to choose who our master will be, either God or the devil. Some folks would say, "Well I don't believe in the existence of anything spiritual and it's all nonsense". Even with that, such a person is still a servant to that particular knowledge and belief. And in all, if you don't submit to Jesus, anything else you submit to is not of God.

Jesus Himself said: *"He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters." (Luke 11:23)*

As humans, we were created with an inherent ability to decide on whatever we want - and you have the liberty to choose your master. You can decide to make money your master. You can decide to make sex, greed, fame, or any form of immoral pleasure your master. A person can even decide to be an outright Satanist and literally bow to the evil devil.

*However, always remember that if there's anything outside God that you've yielded yourself a servant to, you've given the devil access to run your life. Incredibly, the devil is a cruel master who can't help but ruin the lives of his subjects, as he knows he is destined for everlasting damnation.*

TOPIC: Dominion In Rest (Part 4)

Matthew 11:28 ‬
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ‭

*Message*

Self empowers sin to empower satan to stop you from fulfilling destiny. The larger chunk of people in different parts of the world are still slaves to self, sin and satan, producing sickness (which can be physically, mentally, spiritually, etc), poverty (which can also be physically, mentally, spiritually, etc), and other negative stuff you can think of. Several folks are slaves to one form of bad addiction or the other.

Many people aren't whole - spirit, soul and body. The good thing is, Jesus is still calling, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Quit laboring endlessly with all of your human efforts to have dominion over negative stuff like sin and satan and sickness and poverty. Rather, embrace Jesus's offer by sticking to His Way, and His Truth will set you free, plus empower you to live above anything not consistent with His perfect Will.

*Jesus offers eternal life, which launches the believer to their original state where nothing negative can hold you in slavery. As you decide to live a life pleasing Him in all ways, you operate from rest, enjoying genuine freedom. A life of total liberty is only realistic in Christ Jesus.*

TOPIC: Dominion In Rest (Part 3)

Genesis 1:26 ‬
"Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”


*Message*

Yesterday, reading from Matthew 11:28 where Jesus says, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest", we said this is not only an invitation for sinners and unbelievers who are yet to know Him alone, but it's also an invitation for believers who aren't living a life based on His principles and wisdom. We established the truth that a person isn't meant to live life hard and rigorously with the heavy laden of their human efforts and principles. However, we are meant to devote our lives to spreading the realities of God's kingdom, even as we operate from the rest Jesus gives us in His Word.

You will agree with me that the larger chunk of humans on the earth aren't living the kind of life that God has configured them to live. You see, you must understand that the current earth is under the attacks of the kingdom of darkness whose aim revolves around frustrating God's agenda while it still can. Hence, the current earth, as part of the consequences of the sin of Man in Eden, is wrongly re-engineered to limit and hinder you from becoming all God has destined you to be.

The solution therefore is to apply God's strategies. In the book of Genesis, after darkness was thrown into the earth via the rebellion of Lucifer, God carved out Eden, empowering Adam with a realm where he could continually excavate all he needed to colonize the rest of the earth.

*In the same vein, by embracing Jesus's principles and wisdom, you will be planted in a realm that is well above the limitations of your physical surroundings. It is from this spiritual realm (made possible through your relationship with Jesus) that you keep getting all you need to have pure dominion over the fallen earth, and also deliver it from its pains. If you want to change the world, you must rise above its limitations through complete adherence to Jesus's word.*

TOPIC: Dominion In Rest (Part 2)

Matthew 11:28 ‬

*Message*

Jesus is still saying: *"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)*. Why rest, and not something else? It's simply because the realm of rest (like the garden of Eden) is the platform upon which you can live out your eternal destiny that revolves strongly around dominion.

*If you have been following our ministry for a good while now, you would have heard us say repeatedly that the destiny of mankind is to have an intimate righteous relationship with the LORD which is eternal in nature through faith in Christ Jesus, and it is based on that relationship that you are empowered with the Holy Ghost to have dominion over creation and anything else that poised a threat to becoming all the LORD has destined you to be - including self, sin, satan, poverty, sickness, and anything negative.*

Quit laboring endlessly to exercise dominion. That's not meant to be the acceptable norm and pattern. The divine arrangement is that you function from your garden of Eden (a place of rest) and it becomes the realm from which you excavate all you need to spread the kingdom of God to every other space around you.

*So, Jesus is saying, "Come to me". This is an invitation for sinners and unbelievers who are yet to know Him. It's also an invitation for believers who aren't living a life based on His principles and wisdom. *Message*

As a human being, your destiny points to dominion, and this is a candid standard to determine your level of success. In the sight of God, you are as successful as the degree to which you are living out the reality of your eternal destiny here on earth. To become all God has destined you to be, you must operate from a realm or platform of dominion.

*You are a creature of dominion, meant to be above everything on earth and not hindered by anything whatsoever when it comes to giving expression to what God has placed inside of you. Dominion (true dominion) is engaged from the place of rest. As far as Adam was in the Garden of Eden, he never struggled to exercise dominion. Eden was a realm of rest.*

However, Adam and mankind, in general, lost this to the devil through sin, and the consequences were the start of struggles to give expressions to how God has wonderfully configured us. Fortunately, Jesus came to offer us a realm of rest, making us a spiritual Eden where, by the Spirit, we can exercise dominion in rest again. Glory to Jesus!

TOPIC: When Adults Won't Let Go Of Childish Things (Part 2)

"Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him." (Proverbs 22:15)

*Message*

When adults fail to overgrow childishness (still holding on to stuff contrary to God's Will for them), Proverbs 22:15 applies to them too - "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him."

Now, see Hebrews 12:6-7 -‬

*"For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” [7] If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?"*

In God's love, He focuses on using the rod of correction on you as much as possible so you can embrace maturity and become a real adult who is not driven by his or her desires but has been able to tame any craving not consistent with God's Will, and you become led by the Spirit.

*The Bible says, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." (Romans 8:14). These are the ones who have let go of childishness and are identified by their submission to the government of the Holy Spirit. In other words, you are a real adult in God's sight when you have grown to have the fortitude for doing only the things God wants you to do, and not what you feel like doing (unlike a child who only acts based on their own feelings or interests).*

After embracing Jesus as Lord and Savior, we get started off on the cadre of babyhood in the faith, and that's okay. But we must not be there for long but press into maturity.

TOPIC: When Adults Won't Let Go Of Childish Things


*Message*

Scripture made us realize the possibility of clinging to childish things even while in an adult body, and these are things we see all around us today. Childishness is characterized by naivety, thoughtlessness, immediate gratification at the expense of long-term implications, lack of shame, etc. Are these not things several adults failed to overgrow and let go?

Childishness is being ruled by your cravings, even when it is not beneficial to your well-being. Anything contrary to God's Will for you is not beneficial to your well-being, and you are still holding on to childishness if you are a slave to anything against God's Will for you.

*There are several implications of holding on to childishness as an adult, all of which can be explored from various lenses - whether spiritual or physical. When you fail to saturate yourself with God's word and you remain as naive as a baby on the things that matter in life and destiny, you will deprive yourself of significant exploits in matters of destiny.*

TOPIC: Who Is Not A Child? (Part 2)

Proverbs 22:6 ‬
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

*Message*

Let a child be a child, and don't force adulthood on them when they are not yet prepared. Childhood is characterized by naivety, and every child has a right to be led and guided into reasonable maturity by reasonable adults. We therefore mustn't deprive them of this by leaving them all to themselves and allowing them to do all they they always wanted to do and get away with their displays of naivety.

*Extreme liberalism is dangerous in any society, and it's even worse when kids are introduced to this in their inexperienced state. While kids should be given the freedom to be themselves, express themselves, and explore their strengths, all these must be from a regimented realm built in love, where it becomes obvious that you can't do whatever wrong thing that comes to your mind and go away with it - you must be corrected and you've got to love the corrections.*

See what the bible says:

A child is a child. A child is inexperienced and experimental. A child will try out something that comes to mind and watch the reactions from society (their parents, class teacher, etc). If the child did something wrong that was swept under the carpet, the child gets empowered to boldly do it again and again, until he or she grows to become a problematic adult.

Pray that every child in the world will have a relationship with Jesus early enough in life.

TOPIC: Who Is Not A Child?

John 1:12 ‬
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

*Message*

Let's read Psalms 127:3-5 - ‬

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. [4] Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. [5] Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate."

It is the pride of every reasonable person to have sons and daughters (whether biological or adopted) that can carry on with the mandate of their agenda, and God is not exempted. The LORD also continually craves to have sons and daughters that can further His purposes on earth.

*As the world celebrates the annual Children's Day, we should always remember that we all came out from God and He is our Source and Father. Before you could have an earthly parent, God already destined you to be one of His attested children on earth. Incredibly, while the parenthood of your earthly persons is only temporal, the Fatherhood of God over you is meant to be eternal.*

Scripture made us realize that there are legitimate children and illegitimate ones. God wants you to be part of the cadre of His bona-fide children whom He knows by name. This can only be made possible when you earn the right to become His son/daughter through faith in Christ Jesus.

TOPIC: Sweeter Than Bread! (Part 4)

Jeremiah 15:16‬
Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

*Message*

The Bible says, "So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 8:3).

*Take note, "Man (humans) is meant to live by..." Reading the bible is sweet to a healthy soul, but living out the words is even sweeter. We mustn't be hypocrites who have formed a religious habit around reading the contents of the bible for whatever motives but aren't living by the godly principles of God's word.*

God's word is not profitable (both to you and God) only when you hear or read them, but when you live by it in obedience. God's word isn't meant to entertain you but to energize you toward the paths of destiny fulfillment as you embrace its wisdom in obedience. When you read the bible, its primary purpose isn't to add to your knowledge base, but to equip you with eternal principles meant to be practiced. Practicing God's word makes you become all He has ordained you to be even before you were formed in your mother's womb.

A core aspect of the destiny of a husband as a leader is to provide protection and security to his home (spiritually, financially, etc). Every visionary lady has a deep eye that spots greatness in a young guy even when he currently doesn't look like it. This is one of the things you must look out for. You must see that he has the configuration to provide protection of all kinds to you and the children. If he doesn't have this, it is dangerous to say yes to his proposal, because he will leave you and the children exposed on different fronts in the future (which is a very bad experience).

For all of these to be a possibility, therefore, the guy must be sacrificial. A correct guy with leadership virtues will be able to protect his family via a sacrificial personality.

Finally, a core aspect of the destiny of a husband is true love for his wife. For a wife, submission within her own marriage is her unique contribution to the progress of the home, and a woman who is not ready to be submitted to her husband is defiling an integral part of the destiny of wifehood.

For the husband, his unique contribution is genuine and sacrificial love to his wife. ‭‭

[25] Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, [26] that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, [27] that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. [28] So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. [29] For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.


Hence, if you see a single guy who is already displaying the trait of difficulty in exhibiting sacrificial love around him, he is not a correct guy and has no business with being married.

A Correct Guy Is Already Running With Destiny While Still Single

This can be explained via 3 expressions:

A. He Is Already Running With The General/Common Destiny Of Mankind

The destiny of mankind is to have a righteous intimate relationship with God which is eternal in nature, through faith in Christ Jesus, and on the basis of that relationship, is empowered with the Holy Ghost to have dominion over creation and is not a slave to anything negative (including satan, sin, self, sickness, poverty, hell, etc).

If a guy is yet to start living out this reality, he should first focus on making this a lifestyle first of all before bothering himself about marriage.


B. His Personal Unique Life Purpose

Our life purpose (what we are meant to do on earth) are tool for our eternal destiny. They are pathways that contribute to us becoming all that the Lord has destined us to be in all of eternity.

Before a guy should get occupied with the busyness and responsibilities of marriage where he is carrying the weight of his wife and children, he should have first discovered himself in his singlehood. He should have first discovered his life purpose (the paths God would have him thread on earth) and should have started going that path - already experiencing the fulfillment of doing what God would have you do even while still single.

Such a guy will be a valuable asset to you as a woman in your marriage, and he will capably lead you and your children in a worthy manner.

He should have discovered his talents and spiritual gifts (as well as other necessary skills he can learn) that can be utilized to become all the Lord has destined him to be in eternity.

C. Already Embraced The Destiny Of A Husband

A correct guy, even while still single, is already displaying a husband. The man, even before getting married, is already conducting himself as a responsible husband, and it is evident (particularly from those around him) that any woman who will marry him is a very fortunate woman.


A husband is destined to be a leader of his household. This is his unique contribution to his marriage, and if a man is devoid of a leadership capacity, he will be defiling an integral part of the destiny of husbandhood.

A correct guy is one who is already displaying good leadership in his sphere, even while still single.

Mind you, I'm not talking about having positions and titles - leadership is well beyond titles and positions. Many men in leadership positions do not even have leadership capabilities, but they are simply empty noise makers.

Leadership is a consciousness, revolving around responsibility. In other words, the guy is a very responsible person and is adequately taking care of whatever was placed in his hands and jurisdiction. A correct guy has the wisdom for leadership and knows how to make the things placed in his care flourish. When you see this, know that it will be easy for him to make your family flourish too.

So, he must be exhibiting leadership virtues already while still single.

In a previous post (https://www.nairaland.com/8096971/getting-correct-lady-say-yes) where I, amongst other things, drew a portrait of who a correct lady is, I emphasized the fact that marriage is one of God's core strategies to empower us to become all He has destined us to be with great ease. In other words, you are primarily aiming to marry a member of the opposite gender not for sex or childbearing or companionship sake, but the most important thing is that they have the configuration to play a unique and pivotal role in helping you fulfill destiny (becoming all God has destined you to be) with great ease.

Now, as a lady, if you want to enjoy the full dividends of marriage with peace of mind, you have to go the bible way (God's way) and not as dictated by imperfect societal standards and opinions. This means you have to be patient with God to bless you with a man who has the configurations to help you fulfill destiny and must not agree to marry a random guy just because of physical considerations (money, height, complexion, etc).

I want you to remember this, like Eve, if God will lead you to a correct guy who can help you navigate your journeys in destiny, you must also be a correct lady who can be an adequate helper to him too. To attract a correct man, you must be a correct lady too. And to have such a configuration, you must be genuinely saved, submitted to the Holy Spirit, and have started running with destiny.

Experts say people only keep doing what rewards them. Hence, when reading the bible becomes unrewarding, it becomes easy to quit. If you still have a healthy conscience, you will likely feel guilty but become spiritually weak and tired. But you must always remember that your soul can't thrive without God's word.

But you may say, "I know so and so persons who don't read God's word, but they are doing fine and happy". Then I will answer you, "They aren't living the best version of themselves". I will also correct you by saying, "Anyone who seems happy outside of God is only a great actor".

Yesterday, I told you that if you like nutritious food, then you should give priority to God's word because it provides a divine kind of nutrient we don't get from any other food source around the world which is great for your bones and immune system. So, if you are usually eager to eat healthy meals daily for your well-being, then you should be more eager to enjoy God's word every day.

*When you eat God's word, one of its vital benefits revolves around its expertise in offering wisdom to live a genuinely healthy life. You will avoid (and be empowered to live above) dirty addictions that will damage your body, such as smoking, sexual immorality, worrying, etc. When you see folks embracing unhealthy habits, it's an exposure to the distance they keep with God's word.*

There was a time when slogans like this were famous: "No bible reading, no breakfast." A sumptuous and nutritious breakfast can give your body a measure of energy to take care of the business of the day, but God's sweeter words will set your entirety on fire to dominate the day.

See what Job said: *"I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food." (23:12).*

It's usual to eat good food daily for strength and pleasure, but the LORD attested that His Word is sweeter and more refreshing than physical food and must thus be given greater priority above anything else pleasurable on earth.

*When you eat a nice meal, you have only benefitted your body, and maybe delighted your soul to a measure, depending on the peculiar conditions around you. But you see, God's word is beneficial to us spirit, soul and body. When you consume God's word, your spirit (which is the real you) is nourished, your soul (which is a compartment of your spirit that connects your spirit and body) is enlightened, and your body is refreshed (particularly via the economy of an unquantifiable dispensed divine joy that enhances good health).*

If you like nutritious food, then you should give priority to God's word, for it offers a divine kind of nutrient we don't get from any other food source around the world. These divine nutrients are life to your bones and immune system.

*Message*

People open the pages of the bible for different purposes and with different motives or intentions. Of course, you see whatever you want to see as you explore the different books that make up the scripture of truth. If you set out to interact with the bible for a mischievous reason, you will read enough things to power up your mischief. If you do business with God's word with the purpose of being blessed, your blessings will surely overflow for all of eternity.

*Study the bible as a love letter, and it will be easy to get the most from it. As you go through, whenever you come across heaven's promises over you, quickly stretch your faith to claim it. Whenever you come across a prayer, perform priesthood over yourself and loved ones on the strength of what was written. Anytime you come across God fulfilling any of His promises to any of the bible characters, be motivated to trust Him more.*

In all, always position yourself to hear God speak to you from the pages of the scriptures as you do business with the bible. If you are having difficulties hearing from God, you won't go wrong with the scripture of truth.

TOPIC: Marriage Reveals The Sin Of Self- righteousness

Genesis 2:24 ‬
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

*Message*

Marriage is very amazing, and it is one of the divine institutions on earth established by the Lord with eternal significance. In other words, while there is no marriage in heaven (between humans), yet, the marriage institution on earth has serious eternal significance. For instance, a right marriage union can be utilized by couples to push forward God's agenda in different ways, which has eternal implications.

In fact, in the scripture, the closest thing that can be used to describe the sacred relationship between Christ and the Church was the marriage institution (Ephesians 5:22-33).

Amongst its various capacities, marriage can also reveal the sin of self-righteousness. The biggest problem in marriage is selfishness. Our greatest marital problem is ourselves. It is not unusual to see either of the couple rising to their own individual defense and falling into the temptation of blaming the other person while believing the best about themselves.

When a person has spent all their life doing things their own way, they may find it really difficult to give up that right and lose it to someone else. Hence, for many, their thoughts, plans, words, and actions are sponsored by personal desires. When they get married, they want their spouse to always serve their personal desires, hence trouble becomes imminent.

*If you want a blissful home where Christ reigns supreme, then the couple must give up their selfishness and join together as one to live out the principles of God's word.*

TOPIC: Self-esteem Empowerment (Part 7)

I Samuel 3:21 ‬
Then the Lord appeared again in Shiloh. For the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.

*Message*

Few verses from today's focus scripture, you will see that the LORD has encountered Samuel and revealed Himself graphically to the young prophet after so many years of divine silence as a result of the sinful and dirty priesthood in those days. That encounter would launch Samuel into the prophetic and it empowered him in no small measure.

However, in verse 21, the LORD appeared to him again, and this time, it was "by the word of the LORD". This should take our attention directly to the truth that we can (and should) have regular encounters with the LORD from the pages of scriptures, and we will keep seeing ourselves just as He sees us every single day as we interact with His word - which sets us on fire daily for destiny fulfillment.

*Visions and other graphic spiritual encounters are not regular experiences, at least for many believers. However, the word of God as presented in the bible is very powerful, and a very solid channel for the supernatural. This means, without having to wait for the spectacular, you can always have supernatural encounters with God every day from the scripture, and the truth from God's word keeps getting you empowered to become all He has destined you to be.*

What do we mean by she must "Have Started Running With Destiny"?

This can be explained via 3 expressions:

The Bible says he who found a wife finds a good thing (not he who found a single lady). In other words, before she got married, she already knew the conduct of a good wife and was already displaying it around her, particularly to members of her immediate household.

A correct single lady is already displaying a large measure of the attributes seen in the virtuous wife in Proverbs 31:10-31. Hence, a correct lady is one who will obviously be an asset to her husband and not a liability.

Also, a wife is destined to be submissive within her own marriage, as a unique contribution to the progress of her marriage. God made it this way in His infinite wisdom, and a woman who is not ready to be submitted to her husband is defiling an integral part of the destiny of wifehood.

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. [23] For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. [24] Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Ephesians 5:22-24 NKJV‬‬

Thus, a wife who won't submit to her husband won't enjoy her marriage, and won't also allow the man to enjoy the marriage.

Marriage is one of God's core strategies to empower us to become all He has destined us to be with great ease. In other words, you are primarily aiming to marry a lady not for sex or childbearing or companionship sake, but the most important thing is that she will play a unique and pivotal role in helping you fulfill destiny (becoming all God has destined you to be) with great ease.

Remember, in Genesis, when God was done shaping a destiny for Adam in the garden of Eden, He planned a wife for him too:

And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:18.

God was also saying, "It is not good that man should try running his race of destiny alone".

Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. [10] For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

So, when God said "It is not good that man should try running his race of destiny alone", He brought about an instant solution: "I will make a helper (the job of a helper is to make things easier for you)."

God was saying, "The woman I will give him will help him run the race of destiny to make it easier for him."

All that mattered wasn't about her body or about her curves (or about any physical thing we prioritize today). It was all about the fact that the woman, Eve, has a divine configuration to help Adam fulfill destiny with ease.

Now, it should be noted that if God will trust a man with a correct woman who will help him in his journey to destiny, then that man too must have the capacity to help the woman fulfill destiny.

To attract a correct woman, you must be a correct man too. In the context of our conversations here (about marriage), a correct lady is a lady God has configured to help you fulfill your destiny as your wife.


For a woman to have such a configuration, she must be:

1. Genuinely saved
2. Submitted to the Holy Spirit
3. Have started running with destiny

In my book "Getting A Correct Lady To Say Yes To Your Marriage Proposal", I drew a full portrait of who a correct lady is in full details, and one of the things you will discover is that it has nothing to do with physical features (curves, shapes, height, etc).

Remember, don't jump at just any woman when it comes to choosing a life partner, but make sure the lady you will go for has what it takes to be an adequate helper for your destiny actualization.

But then, to attract a correct woman, you must be a correct man too (have the right configurations to help her fulfill destiny also).

Matthew 3:17
‬
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

*Message*

Yesterday, we learned that in God's wisdom, before commissioning you into your assignment, He first grants you a revelation of your glorious identity in eternity as a self-esteem empowerment strategy to ensure you keep carrying your shoulders high even when faced with reproach while carrying out the assignment. Now, let me show you something in Hebrews 12:2 -‬

*" looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."*

The cross was Jesus's destiny, but attached to the cross was "the shame" which is meant to discourage Him from going the path of the cross. Hence, attached to your destiny (which is also a cross you must bear) is an iota of shame and reproach and issues that come in different measures meant to discourage you at different stages of your journey.

Jesus was encouraged along the way by "the joy that was set before Him", which was a product of fresher encounters with the Divine that kept birthing fresher revelations of His destined identity in eternity. Before He started His ministry on earth publicly - "And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17)‬. This is a big self-esteem empowerment!

*Occasionally, He would always set Himself aside to tarry in prayers, and He was always empowered with fresher revelations that kept Him going. Imitate Jesus, and the challenges attached to your destiny won't stop you.*

Before Mary could be offered the assignment of rendering her womb as the vehicle that would transport the KING of kings from Heaven to earth, there was a system put in place to ensure her self-esteem would first be jacked up to a superb level of divinity, done by granting her the revelation of her identity in eternity: “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

It was only after this had been achieved that the angel informed her: "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David." (Vs 31-32).

Mary's next response was, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” and not, "Who am I to be entrusted with such great responsibility?". The reason is simple, the encounter had first opened her up to a revelation of her identity in eternity, and it has empowered her self-esteem to carry her head high even amid the reproach it will bring (since people will think she has been sleeping around when not married).

*In God's wisdom, before commissioning you into your assignment, He first grants you a revelation of your glorious identity in eternity. This is beneficial in several ways, including how it is a self-esteem empowerment scheme to ensure you keep carrying your shoulders high even when faced with reproach while carrying out the assignment.*

Moses was adopted into the royal Palace of Egypt and he grew up being equipped with privileged skills and knowledge reserved for only royalties, to empower those royals for continual advantage over their subjects. You would have thought a guy like that would forever be charged for all manner of exploits, not until he started dealing with challenges attached to his destiny.

In Exodus chapter two, after Moses discovered his deeds (killing an Egyptian) had been leaked, all his advantages in the flesh failed him and he fled for his life. He settled for a humble quiet life of tending sheep for many years, and all the royal confidence instilled into him years ago in the Palace of Egypt began to wane. So much so that when he eventually encountered God in the burning bush, he insisted that he wasn't worthy of such an assignment, even telling God to choose someone else better than him.

*Don't over-rely on your physical skills and academic knowledge when it comes to matters of destiny. Like Moses, there are points in life when challenges attached to your destiny will strip your advantages in the physical realm of its strengths, and only fresher revelations of how God sees you will empower you to keep going.*

Jeremiah 1:6-7 ‬
Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” [7] But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.


*Message*

Yesterday, we emphasized the necessity of continually contending for fresher revelations of how God sees and regards us, as it is a very strong strategy for self-esteem empowerment. So, you might have started seeing yourself way below how God sees you, but a fresher encounter with Him today will grant you fresher revelations of how highly He regards you.

Look at Jeremiah the prophet. He was first introduced as the "son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth" (1:1). Being a stock of the priests, you would have thought he would be always charged to take up any spiritual responsibility that comes his way. Alas, we discovered in the next few verses that even despite all of the divine structures and leverages around him, this young man has always considered himself so small and little and insignificant as far as the move of God is concerned.

*Thanks to God for encountering Jeremiah right there and granting him a revelation of how He sees the young man: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5). That revelation would empower Jeremiah's self-esteem and worth, and his life will never remain the same. Wise people crave fresher encounters with the LORD daily.*
