Hey guys, I found an interesting testimony in a magazine, and after doing some digging myself, I decided to share with you. Be motivated!

"Some years ago, during my Bachelor's degree programme, the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, through the British Council, donated a scholarship to be given to the best student in my department, to attend a 3-week Summer programme at Edinburgh, Scotland. As the best student that year, I was unjustly denied that opportunity because our then HOD told me that I was not assertive. What he meant was that as an "SU", as they used to call us then on campus, I was not sociable enough to represent the department well at Edinburgh. So, the second-best student was sent to Edinburgh. I never allowed this to bother me or weaken my commitment and conviction about my faith in the LORD. I kept on serving the LORD. I graduated and moved on with my life, building a career in the profession the LORD led me into.

"Now, see what our GOD has done in my life over the last couple of years. He has made me to travel to a number of universities in different parts of the world, won more fellowships, scholarships, awards and recognitions more than any of my equals, to the best of my knowledge. It beats my own imagination about the workings of this mighty God."

"But the most interesting slice of history here is this. You know God has a way of mocking the decisions of men against His own children. I call it "God's sense of humour." More than two and a half decades after that glaring and unjust denial of right (call it 'persecution', if you like), our awesome God has now made the same University of Edinburgh to award me a bigger, better, richer and longer visiting research fellowship at a professional level (see https://www.iash.ed.ac.uk/profile/professor-tunde-opeibi)

In fact, I was the one who asked for just 2 months; the University was ready to give me a longer period. Is our GOD not awesome? Is He not faithful? To Him be all the glory!"

The Will of GOD is that all forms of sexual pleasure must be shared only between a husband and his married wife in the safe confines of their marriage institution. Anything else is a sin and an aberration with severe repercussions - both immediate and ultimate

The evil devil is always trying to influence people to go contrary to God's Will, so he can have the chance to plunder them and lead them to hell when they die. The devil is always coming up with evil strategies, planting in our society an immoral unseen structure/network that compels people to sin. Sexual immorality is one of his major tools. And he's not just fighting with the likes of fornication and pornography alone, but is also ensuring a high rate of extramarital affairs today.

So, almost every week, we hear of cheating couples who are getting divorced. The kingdom of darkness is interested in the family unit, and these demons are aware of the great damages a home where the Will of GOD reigns can wreck to their kingdom. They are also aware of the terrible multidimensional damages extramarital affairs can birth - it won't just ruin the couples, but the home at large (including the children).

Contentment and discipline remained crucial and key. Without them, even if you have the most beautiful wife who goes the extra mile to please you in your bedroom, you will still find yourself on the laps of a strange woman. Even if you have the best husband in the world who gives you all he earns each day, you will still be swayed by a mischievous man

Considering our fallen nature as humans, it is a big deal to live right, and it's very tough to achieve this. So, we even see men with multiple wives still failing in faithfulness. Greed is attached to the fallen nature of human. The truth is, without the fear of God in a person, it is impossible to be constrained into a true path of holiness and righteousness.

Every human ought to live above the flesh and the sinful structures of the devil. This can only be possible by having an intimate relationship with God, via accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus says: "I'm the Way, the Truth and the Life"

If you are yet to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, you can do so now. Open your heart, call upon JESUS, and you will be saved!

As a married person, you will always meet people much better than your spouse. Nevertheless, you will do yourself a lot of good by intentionally choosing to prefer your spouse above others; fixating your heart on the pleasant things your spouse usually do that brings you joy.

Be vigilant continually - there are agents of temptation sponsored from hell to lure married people into extramarital affairs. Some of them are around you already - in your working place, your neighborhood, even worship centers. Don't allow a vehement closeness with someone other than your spouse. Your spouse must remain your best friend and closest confidant. Aside your relationship with Jesus Christ, your life can also revolve around your home and family.

If your spouse isn't satisfying you sexually, try to sort it out with love. If they won't change, you should count that as a cross you should carry and focus on other very essential things. Life is beyond sexual pleasure, and sex shouldn't be what will push you into sinful stuff that will bring trouble to your beautiful family or lead you to hell.

If you have been indulging in extramarital affairs, stop and repent immediately! Ask Jesus for forgiveness, cut off the ties (never give the person audience again), and make things right as quick as possible. GOD is giving you a fresh start. I see God making your life beautiful.

JESUS gives Life...

As I've explained in previous posts on my official blog (sundayakanni.com), the greatest decision I made was deciding to walk intimately with Jesus Christ as a youngster, and the best thing that happened to me was receiving the Life of God as a young chap.

Jesus said: "I am to the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one goes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6). When you submit yourself genuinely to Jesus, serving Him in Spirit and in truth, He will translate you from darkness (a state of hopelessness and helplessness) into His Kingdom of Life and Light.

When you choose to walk with Jesus, He gives you His Holy Spirit, Who helps you live in line with His Will and precepts. The Holy Spirit is a big Asset that will transform your life forever. This is my experience! When I made the decision to serve GOD many years ago when I was still a teenager, the Holy Spirit did a lot of things in and for me. Here are five prominent things amongst the numerous things He did:


1. A First-class Self Esteem

Your self esteem is your self worth, the way you truly see and regard yourself. It is important to have a proper self esteem, particularly when one is still growing. Unfortunately, many young people have very low self-esteem, and they are easily influenced by bad peers because they always crave for acceptance.

But the Holy Spirit helps in realizing one's proper worth, and your self esteem will be healthy. So, for me, while I grew up in an environment filled with immoral and wrong things, even as a young teenager at that time, I confidently enjoyed being the odd one living right.

2. Wisdom to excel

The Holy Spirit is GOD, and He has been around for trillions of years, making Him a very wise Being. As you give yourself to JESUS and allow the Holy Spirit find expression in you, He blesses you with His qualities and characteristics - including His Ancient Wisdom.
With this ancient and divine wisdom, you have an edge over not only your peers, but even much older people who don't have the Holy Spirit in them. He guides you with wisdom, and you will live an exceptional life. Thus, even as a youngster, I've always been entrusted with important sensitive responsibilities, with no controversy whatsoever. Glory to God!

3. Discovery of purpose

I started experiencing genuine fulfilment as a young chap, because I started walking in purpose early enough. There is a reason you were created by God to be who and where you are today. You are not a mistake. There are certain things GOD wants you to accomplish on earth while He was creating you - this is your purpose. If you live outside God's Will, you will not only live below your potentials, but you tend to also experience a restless and unfulfilled life.

But the Holy Spirit helps in discovery of purpose, ensuring you live a successful and pleasant life.

4. Discovery of talents

You are wonderfully and fearfully made by GOD. When GOD finished creating you, He looked at you and smiled, happy that He made you well. He has deposited inside you certain abilities which you can naturally exhibit. These are your talents, meant to help you accomplish your destiny and purpose without issues.

The Holy Spirit will help you discover your own talents, and give you the wisdom to utilize them for His Glory. I'm a living witness!

5. Blessed with spiritual gifts

When we give ourselves to God in Holiness and Righteousness, He blesses us with supernatural abilities, known as spiritual gifts. In the Bible (1 Corinthians 12), we saw some of these gifts. These gifts will be utilized by God to make you a vessel (irrespective of your age), to comfort the Church, edify her, and exhort her. Personally, expressing these gifts will ensure you go deeper in the things of God, nurture a deeper relationship with God, and be more fervent in the things of the Spirit. This is my experience!

So you see, you will always be advantaged when you decide to give your life to JESUS and serve GOD in spirit and in truth. Irrespective of your age, start walking intimately with God your Creator now! Say this prayer with sincerity:

"Dear Jesus, I receive you today as LORD and Savior. Forgive my sins and cleanse me with Your precious blood shed on the Cross of Calvary for my sake. Henceforth, I'm a child of God. Amen!"

GLORY to God! Ensure you keep getting closer to God as you pray regularly and study the Bible. Also, commit yourself to a Church, and you will be encouraged to grow in the things of the Spirit. Amen.

It is possible to live above sin. If you partner with God and His Spirit, all becomes possible

Happy Sunday everyone. Your destiny is to have an intimate relationship with God in Christ Jesus

The Almighty God made everything well and good, and sex is not an exception. YAHWEH has made sex to serve good and honourable purposes, which can only find expression in the marriage institution (a man and a woman). And so, His Will is that all forms of sexual pleasure should be shared only between a married man and his wife in the safe confines of a marriage union, with no other party involved. When we adhere to this, sexual pleasure becomes excellent and divine.

But the evil devil is always in the business of perverting the pleasant things created by God. The devil perverted sex, prompting ignorant and weak humans to go contrary to God's Will and engage in sexual sins - including premarital sex, extramarital sex, pornography and masturbation, homosexuality, and other dirty sexual acts. Unfortunately, these sorts of sexual pleasure are poisoning, harmful, and deadly. Pleasure gotten from sexual immorality will always wreck serious havoc to your spirit, soul and body.

You know, many out there today thinks they are "enjoying life" by doing those sinful things. When people say they are enjoying life or they want to enjoy life, what they should be asked is, "do you really know life?". Answer this: "What is life?" Well, the Bible helped us already:

"Jesus said..:"I am the way, the truth and the LIFE" John 14:6

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal LIFE" - John 3:16

"In Him (Jesus Christ) was LIFE, and the LIFE was the light of men" John 1:4

Jesus Christ is Life. It is only when we embrace Jesus in spirit and in truth that we can experience what it means to enjoy Life. As we submit to the Lordship of Christ, God infused us with eternal life, the God-kind of life, which helps us live life the way He wants - running our race through time via an intimate eternal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, and being empowered to have dominion over creation.

There is no enjoyment in sinful pleasure, as they are really poisonous to your entire self. Rather, you enjoy life as you live life dominating creation in accordance to the Will of God - even living above negative things like sin, satan, hell, sickness, poverty, curses, evil principalities and powers, etc.

Enjoying life is not being held bound by dirty and dangerous addictions (like alcoholism, illicit sex, pornography, drugs, etc). Enjoying life can be a reality only when we live in accordance with the precepts of God, embracing the life He has given through Jesus Christ our LORD. God gives us His own Self, peace, prosperity, health, family, joy of the Holy Ghost, etc.

Do you want to enjoy the Life of God? Then you should embrace Jesus Christ immediately and forsake your sins. Simply say, "LORD JESUS, please have mercy on me and come reign in my life as my Lord and Savior." Amen.

You will be empowered by the Holy Ghost to do away with sexual immorality and other kinds of sinful stuff! I will advise that you get yourself a Bible and meditate upon the Word of God regularly. Fellowship with God in prayers and fasting, and join yourself to a Bible believing church around.

Welcome to the Kingdom of God where we enjoy life indeed. Here, we live above sinful pleasure, as we have victory over the flesh, given by Christ Jesus. Jesus loves you!

This world is deeper than the superficial appearance you know. The organizers of immoral stuff like Bbnaija don't love you nor give a hoot about you. Be wise. We are in a terrible time. You can get the right wisdom to live life from God, through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Hence, you must first make Jesus your LORD and SAVIOR. Simply call upon His Name wherever you are, and He will come into your life. What many of you don't know is that many of Bbnaija's stakeholders are not ordinary humans (both the brains behind it as well as the actors and actresses you see doing rubbish on your screen). Many of them are directly working for the devil. They are actually witches and wizards, possessed with demonic spirits, belonging to the evil marine kingdom. They appear innocent and harmless. But they are evil. Inwardly, they are dark and dangerous. They intentionally draw people away with lust, then it becomes easy for their preys to fall into sexual sins (which then gives their master the devil a chance to ruthlessly plunder such a life).

When you see immoral stuff, they sow seeds of lust into your heart. These seeds will start growing in different forms, until you find yourself indulging in immoral activities too.

Well, I don't even have a DStv yet, and I rarely watch TV. I only discovered what Bbnaija is on the internet, as well as the descriptions of the immorality attached to it.

But what I want everyone here to know is that there is an intelligent (but mischievous) system crafted by the devil on the earth realm, to prevent people from serving and walking intimately with God.

The devil doesn't want you to fulfill destiny. Our destiny is to maintain an eternal intimate relationship with YAHWEH through Jesus Christ, which gets us empowered to have dominion over creation (including having dominion over the devil and his negative gangs - like poverty, curses, etc). But the devil doesn't want this. So, he put in place systems (initiatives, events, etc) that distracts and makes people unworthy of walking on the path of destiny.

Since it is impossible to walk with God without holiness, the devil makes people embrace things that defiles them. One of such is Bbnaija. Either the organizers are aware or not, such immoral initiatives are sponsored from the deepest parts of hell. They are meant to corrupt your soul and get your spirit dull, so you won't be conscious of the voice of God's Spirit, placing you at a point of disadvantage in the spiritual realm, and ultimately on earth.

God's Will is that all sexual pleasure should be shared between a married man and his wife inside the safe circle of their marriage institution alone, and that anything contrary is a sin that will fetch harmful repercussions (including premarital sex, extramarital sex, masturbation, pornography, homosexuality, etc).

Temptation is defined not only as "something attractive or seductive", but also as "pressure applied to your thinking designed to create wrong emotions which will eventually lead to wrong actions". Hence, an initiative like Bbnaija is a representation of sexual temptation meant to entice you into committing sexual sins. The aim is to make people dirty and separated from God their Creator, so he (the devil) will have the chance to steal from them, get them killed, and then destroy them (John 10:10).

So, rather than watching stuff that invade the mind with darkness, you should give more attention to pure and productive activities. Give more attention to the Christian movie industry (thank God there are tons of cool Christian movies and series out there right now).

God is the loving Creator who created everything well and lovely, and sex is not an exception. But the mischievous devil is the master of perversion. The evil devil is in the business of perverting the pleasant things created by Yahweh. The devil has been doing this to serve his own mischievous purposes - basically to steal, kill and destroy.

Sex is God's pleasant idea, and it's meant to serve honourable purposes. The Will of God is this:
"All sexual pleasure should be shared between a man and his married female wife in the safe confines of their marriage institution, with no other party involved."

But the devil usually make people go contrary to God's design, getting them defiled and dirty. He is aware sin lures humans out of God's covering and protection, and he gets the chance to plunder the sinner (and even get him killed and send him to hell if he failed to repent). Hence, sex (sexual immorality) has been a trusted tool the devil has been using since the history of man started, to make humans sin against God, there by gaining access to ruin them.

These sexual acts are perversion:

1. Premarital sex (fornication). Having sex when you are not married. 1 Corinthians 6: 18

2. Extramarital Sex (Adultery). Having sex with someone other than your own spouse. Exodus 20:14; Proverbs 6:32-34

3. Homosexuality: Sexual relations between members of same gender, like lesbianism (which is between females) and gayism (which is between males). Romans 1:26-32

4. Pornography And Masturbation. Deriving sexual pleasure from seeing the unclothedness of others; Playing with your sexual organs for sexual pleasures. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

5. Other Immoral Sexual Acts like smooching someone not your married spouse, sextings and the rest of them. Colossians 3:5

To ensure the devil won't get you ruined, you must live a life of holiness and righteousness, devoid of immorality. But you can't do this on your own weak accord - you need God's help.

You can claim God's help when you receive and embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. If you are yet to do this, simply tell Him, "Lord Jesus, have mercy on me and come into my life".

As He gives you the Holy Spirit, He gives you the strength, wisdom and guidance you need to live a life above sin and iniquity. Just yield to Him. You will have to disconnect yourself from people, things and places that can lure you into immorality.

Jesus Christ is the KING of kings and LORD of lords.

The kings of this earth are limited. They can fail, as imperfect creatures. They are subjected to change. They evolve. They die.

But Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13 verse eight). He never change, He will always remain.

He doesn't fail. You will never regret serving HIM. He reigns forever.

Worship Jesus. Give Him your life and make Him your LORD and Savior. Live every moment of your life for Him. He is worthy. He is Alpha and Omega.

John Newton (1725-1801) was a strong atheist and blasphemer. As a young man, he was a bully, usually angry and wild. When he became 18, he was forced into the Navy. He was notorious for always breaking the rules and was often publicly flogged for desertion. Before becoming a slave trader, he was greatly despised and feared by his crew mates.

When he was 23, his ship one day encountered a terrible storm, and it almost sank off the coast of Donegal. While the ship was filled with water and it appeared no more hope, Newton cried out to God for help. On March 1748, God rescued him, and he began a new life.

John Newton started praying and reading the Bible. He eventually became a prominent light in the campaign to abolish the slave trade.

He is best known as the author of the hymn: "Amazing Grace"

Beloved, please don't despise anyone. The dirtiest sinner you see today can become a pure child of God next month. GOD is not giving up on any of His prodigal children still lost in the wild.

Every atheist and hard unbeliever simply need an encounter with God. Beyond giving them sermons and preaching to them, many stubborn atheists and unbelievers needs an encounter with God that will bring them into God's Kingdom. Jesus Christ Himself must lovingly meet with them Hence, we must keep interceding for them.

If you are an atheist or unbeliever, for the fact that you are reading this, if you will open your heart, Jesus will come and visit you this week. And your life will never remain the same when you submit to the Lordship of Christ.


In conclusion, as Christians, we must place great value on Evangelism and Soul winning. Many sinners out there will be saved by Jesus Christ when we arise to partner with the Holy Ghost to minister the gospel (which has an inherent capacity to break the hardest heart and is indeed the power of GOD unto salvation)

What Is God Telling You Right Now?

Many people are usually eager to have access to divine information about themselves, and they try to be attentive to know what God has for them.

Perhaps, you have been wondering what God is saying about you and your current state.. Of course, you are not alone! In fact, many have been wondering what the mind of GOD is concerning the world in such a time as this.

You should know that GOD, being a loving Father who has our best interest at heart, is always speaking to us, as His voice is what we really need to live a life filled with pleasantness and blessings.

The problem is, many people don't pay attention to what God is saying, as the world is filled with several distractions put in place by the mischievous devil. Nevertheless, it is not difficult knowing what God is saying as we have access to His Word, and we have the Mind of Christ

What God is telling you right now is that He wants you to know and remember that He loves you so much. He graciously made you well, preserved you to be alive till this day, and He even took a painful step to die for your sins..

"For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

What GOD is telling you right now is that you should nurture an intimate relationship with HIM, as this is what will empower you to live a life filled with blessings and glory and dominion. This can be possible when you embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and forsake anything sinful.
