TOPIC: From Secret Bold Disciples to Bold Witnesses (3)

Scripture: "After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus." - John 19:38 NKJV

*Message*

Joseph and Nicodemus show us that high-worth individuals can and do enter the kingdom. Their journey may look different in the sense that they are more cautious and more calculated. However, when they finally step forward, they often do so with remarkable courage and generosity. God utilise them to fulfil some aspects of His plans which they have the capacity and means to carry out.

For instance, if not for the likes of Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, the prophecies surrounding Jesus's burial would have been brought into jeopardy (which would have ruined the entire salvation plan).

So, if you're ministering to influential people who seem interested but hesitant, be patient. Keep investing. Keep praying. God is working in their hearts. And when the moment comes, when the Holy Spirit ignites courage, they will step out of the shadows and into the light.

Their influence, their resources, their very lives can become powerful instruments for God's kingdom. The Lord can make use of what they possesses for kingdom works in no small measure. Some of the individuals in this category eventually started sponsoring kingdom works with billions. Some of them have the connections to help the church get certain choice centers and properties for Christian activities.

Remember, sometimes, the secret disciples become the boldest witnesses.

Lord, I want to be a bold witness for You, not a secret disciple. Help me to stand up for my faith, even when it's hard or unpopular. Give me the courage to speak Your truth, just like Joseph and Nicodemus, who risked everything to follow You

TOPIC: Speaking Truth To Those In Power (3)

"Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, 'Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you.'" - Acts 24:25 NKJV

*Message*

When Paul was ministering to these powerful individuals, he combined logical argument with personal experience, engaging both the mind and the heart. Whenever you have the chance to do the same, you can also employ reason and testimony together. As the Holy Spirit breathe upon those words, they can convict the hardest hearts.

You should be eager to make the most of every platform. Paul turned a legal defense into an evangelistic opportunity. When God grants you access to influential people, steward it wisely. Just ensure you are kingdom oriented and missional conscious. It helps you see anything and everything as opportunities and platforms to propagate the kingdom.

Now, it's also important that you accept that you can't control the outcome. Felix postponed his decision indefinitely. Agrippa almost believed but walked away. But all that matters to Paul was that he faithfully presented truth and left the results to God.

The powerful need the gospel just as desperately as anyone else. Their influence may be great, but their eternity is not sure without Jesus. Like Paul, we must have the courage to speak truth clearly, the wisdom to speak it appropriately, and the faith to trust God with the results.

Father, give me boldness like Paul to speak Your truth to everyone, regardless of their position. Help me balance courage with wisdom, being faithful to Your message while trusting You with the outcome. In Jesus' name, Amen.

TOPIC: Speaking Truth To Those In Power (2)

*Message*

When Paul was with King Agrippa, his defence became a testimony. He shared his personal encounter with Christ on the Damascus road, explained how prophecy pointed to Jesus, and made a direct appeal:

"King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe."

Agrippa's response shows the power of Paul's presentation: "You almost persuade me to become a Christian." Almost. The king stood at the threshold of salvation but chose not to cross it. Yet Paul's boldness had brought him to that point — closer to Christ than he had ever been.

When we speak to those in power, our posture shouldn't portray us as mischievous folks who want to vent our personal vendetta due to their failures. Rather, we are seeking at getting them either saved or convicted to begin operating with kingdom principles.

First of all, don't be intimidated by position. Paul remembered that governors and kings are still accountable to the King of Kings. Respect their position, but don't compromise the message.

Also, address real issues, not just surface matters. Paul spoke about righteousness, self-control, and judgment. These are topics that confront his audience's actual spiritual condition.

Lord, give me the courage to speak truth to power, just like Paul, without fear or compromise. Help me to be bold and wise in my words, addressing the hearts of those in authority, and pointing them to Your truth

*Message*

When everyone else abandoned Jesus, these two wealthy and influential men stepped forward publicly. Joseph boldly went to Pilate, the Roman governor, and asked for Jesus' body. This wasn't a private gesture; it was a public declaration.

Nicodemus came with seventy-five pounds of expensive myrrh and aloes, a burial fit for royalty. Together, they carefully prepared Jesus' body and laid Him in Joseph's own new tomb.

Sometimes, crisis clarifies conviction. When they saw the injustice of Jesus' death, when they witnessed His suffering, when the moment demanded action, their fear gave way to courage. The cost of silence suddenly became greater than the cost of speaking up.

Their public act of devotion was risky and expensive, but it was also beautiful. They gave Jesus the dignified burial His executioners would have denied Him. They used their wealth, their influence, and their resources for the One they had been secretly following.

Not everyone comes to Christ with immediate boldness. Some influential people need time to count the cost, to wrestle with what discipleship means for their position and reputation. That's okay. God is patient with secret disciples, but He doesn't intend for them to remain secret forever.

Joseph and Nicodemus show us that high-worth individuals can and do enter the kingdom.

TOPIC: From Secret Bold Disciples to Bold Witnesses (1)

*Message*

Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus had everything to lose. As wealthy, respected members of the Sanhedrin (which was the Jewish ruling council), they sat at the pinnacle of religious and social influence.

The opinions of these men shaped policy. Their votes determined outcomes. Their reputations were impeccable. Yet both had become followers of Jesus. Secretly.

Now, we shouldn't be too quick to judge their initial timidity. We should consider their position instead. To publicly declare allegiance to Jesus meant potential expulsion from the Sanhedrin, social ostracism, loss of influence, and possibly their wealth. These weren't unfounded fears. The religious establishment had already decided that anyone who confessed Christ would be put out of the synagogue (John 9:22).

So they watched from the shadows. Nicodemus came to Jesus by night (John 3). Joseph kept his discipleship hidden. They believed, but they were afraid.

Then came the crucifixion. As Jesus hung dying, most of His followers scattered. Peter had denied Him. The disciples hid behind locked doors. The crowds that had shouted "Hosanna" were nowhere to be found. It was in this darkest moment that something shifted in Joseph and Nicodemus.

TOPIC: Speaking Truth To Power (1)

"Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, 'Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you.'" - Acts 24:25 NKJV

*Message*

The Apostle Paul stood gallantly in chains before some of the most powerful men in the Roman Empire, the likes of Governor Felix, Festus, and King Agrippa. These were individuals accustomed to people cowering before them, flattering them, or begging for favors. But Paul did none of these things. Instead, he did something revolutionary: he treated them as souls in need of salvation.

Take note of the fact that Paul could have played it safe. He could have focused solely on defending himself against false accusations. He could have avoided topics that might offend his powerful audience. But Paul understood something profound that position and power don't exempt anyone from the need for the gospel.

When speaking to Felix, Paul didn't flatter the governor's authority or appeal to his political interests. Instead, he "reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come." Take note that these weren't abstract theological concepts. Rather, they struck at the heart of Felix's personal life.

It should be noted that Felix was living with Drusilla, another man's wife, and was known for his corruption and lack of self-control. Paul's message was so convicting that Felix became afraid.

Notice Paul's approach: he reasoned, he didn't rant. He presented truth with clarity and logic, engaging Felix's mind while addressing his conscience. This is wisdom. It has to do with speaking boldly without being reckless, being truthful without being unnecessarily offensive.

TOPIC: Being A Blessing To A Wealthy Man (3)

*Message*

Dear reader, you must realise that high-worth individuals often carry the weight of isolation. Their success may intimidate others, or their reputation may precede them. They are accustomed to people wanting something from them, and they rarely experience someone who simply values them. You must therefore take a posture of being a blessing to these types of people, and they will surely appreciate you in no small measure.

Like Jesus, we must offer dignified attention without condemnation. Don't assume wealthy individuals are content or unreachable. Behind the success and the carefully maintained image, many are spiritually empty and longing for authentic connection.

Dear believer, when you treat people with dignity, you create space for God to work. And when influential people encounter genuine grace, their transformation can impact entire communities.

Jesus made this declaration in the home of Zacchaeus: "Today salvation has come to this house... for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

Ask the Lord today to help you see people the way He do, beyond their reputation to their spiritual need. He will give you the courage to extend dignified attention to everyone.

TOPIC: Being A Blessing To A Wealthy Man (2)

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, 'Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.'" - Luke 19:5 NKJV

*Message*

As expected, the hypocritical crowd grumbled, "He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner", as if they were saints (remember, everyone of them inherited sin from Adam too). Jesus, however, saw beyond the reputation to please the crowd to the reality on ground. Zacchaeus was a lonely, empty soul desperate for something real.

While it was Zacchaeus who was seeking, it was Jesus who pursued after him. The Lord didn't wait for this man to be "worthy" before engaging him. Indeed, the gospel always moves toward people, not away from them.

Jesus offered him dignity and not shame. The Lord could have chosen to expose Zacchaeus's corruption publicly. Instead, He honored him with His presence. This respect opened genuine repentance, which is something shame never could.

By entering Zacchaeus's home, Jesus entered his world, the world of the sinful man. In that intimate setting, away from the condemning crowd, real heart change could happen. It was not surprising, therefore, when Zacchaeus declared, "Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold."

Note that the Lord didn't have to force the man. Instead, it was the natural overflow of an encounter with grace. True transformation always produces generosity.

Lord, help me to see people through Your eyes, beyond their reputation or outward appearance. Give me the courage to approach those who are often overlooked or written off, and the wisdom to show Your love in practical ways.

TOPIC: *Ministering To A High-ranking Official (3)*

"Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him." - Acts 8:35 NKJV

*Message*

It is also noteworthy that Philip met an intellectual need in his encounter with this high-ranking official. The eunuch wasn't looking for entertainment or emotional manipulation but was seeking understanding. Philip engaged his mind with truth, answering his questions with Scripture.

You should also notice that he allowed the man to set the pace. When they came to water, it was the eunuch who asked, "What hinders me from being baptized?" Philip didn't pressure or manipulate, he simply responded to genuine spiritual hunger. All of these resulted into immediate conversion and baptism.

The eunuch "went on his way rejoicing." He returned to Ethiopia not just as a treasurer but as a transformed man carrying the gospel to an entire continent. A high-ranking official won for the kingdom can do very great things for the benefit of the kingdom.

Dear reader, high-worth individuals are often searching for truth but may lack someone trustworthy to guide them. They can access information but struggle to find transformation. They can buy books but can't purchase understanding. Your role isn't to impress them with your credentials or overwhelm them with religious talk.

Like Philip, be available, be knowledgeable, and be genuine. When God creates divine appointments, step forward with confidence. Provide real answers to real questions. Meet people where they are, intellectually and spiritually, and you will be amazed at the results of your efforts.

Lord, help me to be a vessel for Your truth, meeting people where they are and guiding them to Your word. Give me the wisdom to engage with others, answering their questions with Scripture and providing real answers to real needs.

TOPIC: *Ministering To A High-ranking Official (2)*

"Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him." - Acts 8:35 NKJV

*Message*

We wrapped up yesterday's discourse by pointing out how Philip didn't hesitate because of the man's status or feel intimidated by his position when the Spirit specifically told him to approach the Eunuch's chariot. Have you imagined approaching a moving convoy of a high-ranking government official in your country to minister to them?

But in the exaltedness of the Eunuch's convoy, he still admitted his need for help. This won't have been possible in the first place without the prompt obedience of Philip. When God said "go," he went, even to a seemingly random desert road. Divine appointments often come through obedience to God's unusual directions.

For instance, God could tell you out of the blues to travel to a certain state in your country via aeroplane. And He would inform you of the particular time you should book for, and maybe even the flight company to go with. If you obey meticulous, you may simply look around where you are seated and find a high-ranking government official sitting just beside you. And after engaging the individual, you identify an opening to bring them into the kingdom.

Now, take note that Philip provided genuine value to this man, not platitudes or religious jargon. He explained Scripture clearly, starting exactly where the eunuch was reading and connecting it directly to Jesus. Hence, every one of us must be well versed in Scripture, so you can rightly divide the Word and preach Christ from anything when an opportunity comes.

Lord, help me to be obedient to Your leading, even when it takes me to unexpected places or requires me to approach someone I might consider "above me". Give me the boldness to share Your word with others, and the wisdom to explain Scripture clearly and accurately. May I be a vessel for Your truth, bringing people into the kingdom and building them up in faith. Amen

TOPIC: Being A Blessing To A Wealthy Man (1)

*Message*

Let's take some time to explore how the Lord Jesus proved to be a blessing to the man Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector, very wealthy and influential but spiritually empty and socially isolated. Jesus offered him dignified attention rather than condemnation. After encountering Christ, the man experienced transformation, declaring he would give half his possessions to the poor and restore what he had taken fraudulently.

Zacchaeus can best be described as a man who adequately mastered the art of accumulation but failed at the art of connection. As chief tax collector in Jericho, he was wealthy beyond measure. Unfortunately, his riches came with a price. Society despised him as a traitor who collected taxes for the Roman occupiers while enriching himself through corruption. He had money, power, and influence, yet he was spiritually bankrupt and socially isolated.

When Jesus came to town, Zacchaeus couldn't resist the curiosity. But his wealth couldn't buy him a front-row seat in the crowd. In fact, his unpleasant reputation had built walls around him that money couldn't breach. So this dignified official did something undignified: he climbed a tree.

However and remarkably, Jesus didn't ignore him. He didn't demand that Zacchaeus clean up his life before approaching Him. Instead, the Lord did something that shocked everyone. He looked up, called him by name, and invited Himself to Zacchaeus's home.

In that moment, Jesus offered Zacchaeus dignified attention, which is something his wealth could never purchase. The Lord didn't offer him pity or condemnation. He never even tried exploiting the man. Rather, we saw genuine personal interest in a man everyone else had written off.

Lord, help me to see people through Your eyes, offering dignified attention and genuine interest to those around me. Give me the courage to approach those who are often overlooked or written off, and the wisdom to show Your love in practical ways

It is also noteworthy that Philip met an intellectual need in his encounter with this high-ranking official. The eunuch wasn't looking for entertainment or emotional manipulation but was seeking understanding. Philip engaged his mind with truth, answering his questions with Scripture.

You should also notice that he allowed the man to set the pace. When they came to water, it was the eunuch who asked, "What hinders me from being baptized?" Philip didn't pressure or manipulate, he simply responded to genuine spiritual hunger. All of these resulted into immediate conversion and baptism.

The eunuch "went on his way rejoicing." He returned to Ethiopia not just as a treasurer but as a transformed man carrying the gospel to an entire continent. A high-ranking official won for the kingdom can do very great things for the benefit of the kingdom.

Dear reader, high-worth individuals are often searching for truth but may lack someone trustworthy to guide them. They can access information but struggle to find transformation. They can buy books but can't purchase understanding. Your role isn't to impress them with your credentials or overwhelm them with religious talk.

Like Philip, be available, be knowledgeable, and be genuine. When God creates divine appointments, step forward with confidence. Provide real answers to real questions. Meet people where they are, intellectually and spiritually, and you will be amazed at the results of your efforts.

We wrapped up yesterday's discourse by pointing out how Philip didn't hesitate because of the man's status or feel intimidated by his position when the Spirit specifically told him to approach the Eunuch's chariot. Have you imagined approaching a moving convoy of a high-ranking government official in your country to minister to them?

But in the exaltedness of the Eunuch's convoy, he still admitted his need for help. This won't have been possible in the first place without the prompt obedience of Philip. When God said "go," he went, even to a seemingly random desert road. Divine appointments often come through obedience to God's unusual directions.

For instance, God could tell you out of the blues to travel to a certain state in your country via aeroplane. And He would inform you of the particular time you should book for, and maybe even the flight company to go with. If you obey meticulous, you may simply look around where you are seated and find a high-ranking government official sitting just beside you. And after engaging the individual, you identify an opening to bring them into the kingdom.

Now, take note that Philip provided genuine value to this man, not platitudes or religious jargon. He explained Scripture clearly, starting exactly where the eunuch was reading and connecting it directly to Jesus. Hence, every one of us must be well versed in Scripture, so you can rightly divide the Word and preach Christ from anything when an opportunity comes.

Let's look at another case study, where this high-ranking official (the treasurer of Ethiopia) was searching for spiritual truth, then Philip provided value by explaining Scripture, meeting the eunuch's intellectual and spiritual needs. The result was immediate conversion and baptism.

The Ethiopian eunuch had everything most people aspire to possess. He had power, prestige, and prosperity. As the treasurer of an entire nation, he managed the wealth of a kingdom and had direct access to the queen. Yet on this dusty desert road, returning from worship in Jerusalem, he sat in his chariot reading words he couldn't fully understand.

Here was a man who could afford the expensive scroll of Isaiah. You must understand that this is a luxury beyond most people's reach. He had the intellect to read Hebrew, the curiosity to seek God, and the determination to travel over a thousand miles for worship. But despite all his resources and education, he still needed someone to help him understand spiritual truth.

An angel directed Philip to this desert road, and the Spirit specifically told him to approach the chariot. Philip didn't hesitate because of the man's status or feel intimidated by his position. Instead, he asked a simple question:

"Do you understand what you are reading?"

The eunuch responded honestly: "How can I, unless someone guides me?" Here was a high-ranking official admitting his need for help. Pride didn't prevent him from acknowledging his spiritual confusion. His humility created the opening Philip needed.

Lydia didn't just believe privately, but she acted publicly. This successful and wealthy woman was baptized along with her household and immediately opened her home to Paul and his companions. Her resources, her influence, and her very house became instruments for kingdom work. She understood that everything she had accumulated wasn't just for her comfort but for God's purposes.

This is a good reason you shouldn't prejudge based on wealth. The truth is that the prosperous need Jesus just as desperately as anyone else. Their bank accounts may be full, but without Christ, their souls remain empty.

Also, as you engage them, simply trust God to open their hearts. You can't argue, manipulate, or pressure anyone into salvation. Your job is to be faithful in sharing; God will do the supernatural work of opening hearts to receive truth.

Now, take note that Paul met Lydia in a place of prayer where she was seeking God. Then he engaged her spiritual hunger, not her wallet. Today, we see cases where religious folks want to patronise wealthy individuals to engage their riches, ministering to them with their minds fixated on what they can reap in return.

Many wealthy people are also aware of this, and they avoid religious people aggressively since they have fallen prey to scam artists who paraded themselves as God's ministers.

But you, dear genuine believer, when you meet a wealthy person in need of salvation, seek to build an authentic relationship with them, and not a transactional one. Eventually, they will get comfortable with you and allow you to influence them for the benefit of the kingdom.

Lydia was a successful merchant dealing in expensive purple cloth. Paul didn't avoid her because of her wealth; rather, "the Lord opened her heart" as Paul spoke. She became the first European convert and immediately used her resources and influence to support the gospel work.

Now, we should note that Lydia wasn't an average listener. She was a successful businesswoman in the luxury textile industry, dealing in purple cloth — a commodity so expensive that only royalty and the extremely wealthy could afford it. In her world, she had achieved what many only dreamed of.

Yet when Paul encountered her by the riverside in Philippi, he didn't see her wealth as a barrier to the gospel. He didn't dismiss her as "too worldly" or assume she was content in her prosperity. Instead, he shared the message of Christ, and something extraordinary happened:

"The Lord opened her heart."

This shows transformation is God's work, not ours, and no barrier can hinder Him from doing His work. Our responsibility is to faithfully share; God's role is to open hearts. Lydia had everything money could buy, but she still needed what only Jesus could provide. Only Jesus can provide salvation, purpose, and eternal life.

Esther gained favor and access to the king through her character and wisdom. Her position allowed her to influence the most powerful man in the Persian Empire, ultimately saving her people and demonstrating God's providence. Since we've been considering the necessity of getting into the room of power so we can bring kingdom upon high-worth individuals also, this is worth discussing.

It's always beneficial when we subscribe to kingdom principles right from onset and make biblical truths a lifestyle. One of the many advantages of this is that you are always properly positioned to be qualified for certain doors of opportunities that could be opened at anytime - doors that leads right into the Palace of power.

In the case of Esther, an opportunity emerged from the urgency to satisfy the King's need - the need for a woman he can lay hold of as a wife and queen. However, there is a stringent requirement: the woman must be a virgin! If Esther had lost her virginity before now, she won't have been able to get close to the door of this opportunity in the first place.

Virginity, an expression of sexual purity, is God's will for everyone till marriage. Adhering to this principle positioned Esther to qualify herself for this opportunity.

There will always be various doors of opportunities that will open at different times meant to take you straight into the Palace of power. One good way to be always properly positioned and qualified to enter is as you are adhering to kingdom principles. You can never go wrong making biblical truths a lifestyle.

*Message*

As always, Jesus was a very worthy example even in this matter. First, a lot of poor and ordinary people benefitted from His ministry - but so did the highly placed ones too. Several high-worth individuals received and supported His ministry in various ways, contributing to the fulfilment of different prophecies about Him. A highly placed individual like Nicodemus spoke in support of Him in a circle made up of his kinds alone:

"Nicodemus (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them) said to them, [51] “Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?” John 7:50-51 NKJV

There were those who supported His ministry with their material resources. We even have the like of Joseph of Arimathea who ensured prophecies surrounding His burial didn't fall to the ground after His crucifixion:

"Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. [58] This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. [59] When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth" Matthew 27:57-59 NKJV

Jesus exudes excellence, which explains why even the highly placed ones feel comfortable having Him around. He had an exceptional ministry that positioned Him to build influence. And since He is Wisdom personified, He knew how to conduct Himself to earn the trust of high-worth individuals, eventually winning many of them and making them His disciples also.

Jesus represented the kingdom with competence and wisdom, and you must do same to bring more highly placed persons into the kingdom.

Don't lose touch with God and spiritual activities after getting into these strong circles dominated by high-worth individuals. There have been cases of people who were eager to get into places of power with the noble aim of winning highly successful individuals for the kingdom, but they lost focus at some point and went astray.

Once you begin to detach from the things of the Spirit, you begin to lose your sharp edges and all that gave you access in the first place. The implication is that you are prone to be kicked out of those circles once you are no longer valuable (except you want to switch to the side of darkness for power).

Let's consider the man Daniel again. After rising to the realm of power in the first instance, he never lose sight of his intimacy with the Lord, nor did his passion for spiritual activities wane. Hence, he kept drawing spiritual realities that keeps positioning him as a solution provider who can't be ignored, but will always be relevant in all seasons.

After impressing Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 1, there came another challenge in chapter 2. The king had a dream and he gave those he had elevated a very difficult task with a strong penalty:

“My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap. [6] However, if you tell the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts, rewards, and great honor. Therefore tell me the dream and its interpretation.” Daniel 2:5-6 NKJV

If Daniel had lost his priesthood after his elevation into the circle of power, he would have been a casualty. It is very important to have a very deep standing with God before you move into the circle of power, so the same promotion won't lead to your fall.

When you have earned the trust of high-worth individuals after gaining access into their circles on the wings of competence and value, you must begin to dispense grace and wisdom. Learn to speak with grace and wisdom to make your life attractive to them and instigate in them the hunger to learn from you and emulate your conduct.

Let your excellence earn you a seat in their life. And once they recognize that your results come from God’s patterns, their hearts begin to open. Hence, you must be well versed in kingdom principles and lifestyle, so you won't mess up along the way by embracing the compromise of comfort that maintains the status quo.

Daniel got into the realm of influence and power via competence and excellence.

"As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
[19] Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. [20] And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. However, Daniel didn't lose sight of his intimacy with the Lord, nor did his passion for spiritual activities wane. Because of this, he kept drawing spiritual realities that keeps positioning him as a solution provider who can't be ignored, but will always be relevant in all seasons.

When you have a burden for the salvation of certain high-worth persons, it leads you into intercession, and after a while, you begin to extract strategies from heaven on how to persuade the ones you can into the kingdom. But to penetrate their high walls, you must be valuable and they must be certain that you won't be parasitic when allowed into their personal space.

Additionally, you must be strategic when it comes to building trust. It takes a while to build full trust, hence you must be so patient. Indeed, it's possible to become a close friend with a high-worth person even if you weren't initially from their circles. However, when they start allowing you quietly into their space, be strategic and intentional about building trust.

Joseph was able to gain access into the world of Pharaoh because of the value he possessed and can bring to the table. But he was also being strategic and determined to make the most of the opportunity. If he had appeared before the king shabbily and unprepared, and only interpreted the dream Pharaoh had, his services would have been a one-time affair.

But by speaking with grace and wisdom, even in that brief period of time, he could acquire the trust of the king who boldly appointed him as the Prime Minister even without knowing him before that day.

The kingdom of heaven is close to everyone, including the highly placed ones. Let's bring them too into its reality.

In different parts of the world, it is true that high-worth individuals often feel self-sufficient due to their wealth and accomplishments. They may not see their spiritual need. Hence, if you are going to get them into the kingdom also, one of immediate things to do is to help them discover their spiritual need.

Scripture says “He that wins souls is wise.” Every soul matters to God - and it doesn't matter if they are poor or highly placed in society. Hence, we are not called to evangelize only the poor or the struggling. As believers, we are also called to reach the “kings”—the influential, the accomplished, the wealthy.

Now, your role is not to condemn or force, but to demonstrate kingdom character and let them see the beauty of kingdom lifestyle. The truth is, many of them needs help and quietly seeks to improve their realities, since they don't really have joy and true peace. Their riches can buy temporal happiness and satisfaction, but only the Holy Spirit gives true joy and fulfilling peace.

Also, you must offer value to get closer to their space in the first place. Remember, for obvious reasons, they usually build a strong wall around themselves to prevent the crowd from having access to their intimate space, since they are aware that many people only want to take advantage of them like parasites.

When you are valuable to them, it is only natural that they will welcome you around their private spaces, and you can start from there.

There's a Christian film maker who went from homelessness to owning the largest film studio in the U.S. Because of his success, presidents seek his counsel, billionaires respect his leadership, and millions admire his creative work

He openly credits God for his journey, and as a result, many people who would not usually listen to a sermon have heard gospel truth through his influence. He influences through success, then directs people’s eyes to God.

There are also Christian singers who intentionally penetrated mainstream entertainment, since they know that traditional evangelism would never reach many in the industry. Their success earned them trust in rooms where pastors are not welcome, granting the chance to sow kingdom seeds among artists, producers, executives, and celebrities.

Dear reader, apply kingdom principles to enter into rooms where only credibility can open the door, and you can make high-value people take your words seriously. You begin to also model the kingdom in a way they can respect and relate to. And once inside their circle, you partner with the Holy Spirit to lead them gently toward God.

In conclusion, never forget that as you rise, people (both ordinary and powerful people) will be drawn to your light, just as Isaiah prophesied. And when they come, you lead them gently into the kingdom.

When people voluntarily admire your results and open themselves to your influence, that is your opportunity to point them to God. Not forcefully, not arrogantly—but naturally, through relevance and wisdom.

This is the influence route to the Great Commission. No pushing, no arguing theology with unwilling hearts. Just shining so brightly in your calling that people come to you—and meet God through your life.

This approach is especially effective today because modern people respond better to impact than to imposition.

Let's also consider the man Strive Masiyiwa — a Billionaire, Businessman, and Christian Mentor. Strive Masiyiwa, the Zimbabwean billionaire and founder of Econet, is one of Africa’s greatest examples of “kings coming to your rising.” His business success earned him seats on global boards (Netflix, Unilever, etc.), direct access to presidents, influence over youths across Africa, etc.

And yet, he uses his platforms to teach integrity, prayer, faith, and Biblical principles— to CEOs, politicians, founders, and high-level thinkers.His light draws them in.

Remember that many high-achieving people—the wealthy, the educated, the powerful—are surrounded by walls. They do not open their doors to strangers. They are skeptical of religion. Even traditional evangelism often does not reach them. However, excellence, relevance, competence, and authentic success break down walls no sermon can penetrate.

In today’s world, people are drawn to results. Influence is rarely handed out freely— you earn it through excellence, credibility, integrity, and demonstrable success in a particular sphere of life. When your life begins to shine with competence and character, people (believers and unbelievers alike) naturally begin to pay attention.

Just as Isaiah prophesied, nations come to your light not because you shout the loudest, but because your life becomes a beacon of value.

For others to seek your counsel or trust your voice, they must see proof in your work. Influence is built when your results open doors your words alone cannot.

Tim Tebow is a case study of influence through excellence and faith. This former NFL quarterback became globally influential not because he tried to preach forcefully, but because his athletic achievements gave him credibility. His consistent character made him respected even by critics, and his excellence gave him a massive platform

That influence opened doors for him to talk about Christ on national and global stages—even to high-profile individuals who would never attend a church crusade.

His light attracted kings. Yours must also do.

TOPIC: Why Dominion Matters For The Great Commission (4)

*Message*

You earn influence through success in an aspect of life, or by becoming wealthy through honest means. For people to seek you out, you must be so valuable. For others to submit to your words and hear you out, you must have proven yourself and worth.

Our strategy is that when people willingly submit themselves to your tutelage and ideologies, you then point them to God.

When you attempt fulfilling the Great Commission via the influential route, you get to convince unbelievers without offending them. You are able to communicate the message of the kingdom to them in their context, and they easily understand what it entails. In this route, you are focused on impact and not imposing.

Influence helps you win friends, including high calibre folks who have a strong wall around them that can't be easily penetrated with the traditional evangelism techniques. Influence gets you into their circles, and you then partner with the Lord for the salvation of their souls as you keep dispensing kingdom principles in words and actions around them.

To win high-worth individuals to the kingdom of God, we need wisdom in no small measure. One of the reasons is that we must help them identify their lack (their riches and earthly achievements may be blinding their mind from seeing what they truly lack).

So, we are not just focusing on evangelising the poor and needy alone, but must also put strategies in place to influence the high and mighty with the culture of the kingdom and then welcome them too to the fold of God.

Father, I thank You for the privilege of being a kingdom influencer. I declare that I am equipped with wisdom and strategies to win souls, especially the high and mighty, to Your kingdom. I confess that I am a vessel of Your glory, shining bright in my sphere of influence. I pray for the courage to be a beacon of hope, pointing people to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

*Message*

We have established that influence in the hands of a kingdom-minded believer can always be utilized for kingdom expansion and the fulfilment of the Great Commission. In fact, according to a great teacher sent to the Body of Christ, influence is not just an effective tool to carry out the Great Commission, but "it is more important than power."

Now, you may want to start being inquisitive on how to become influential. The best way to go with this is that you should not be obsessed with becoming influential, but should rather focus on being successful in an area of life. Fortunately, as believers, we have the Holy Spirit for our advantage, He can guide you into your destined path and lavish you with all you need to excel.

So, success in an aspect of life brings influence to you. Additionally, being wealthy and gaining honest wealth makes you influential. The systems of this world have been programmed to respect the successful individual and the wealthy individual. Hence, kingdom-minded believers must not only be discipled to be great heaven-bound Christians alone but should also be tutored not to embrace mediocrity.

Ask the Holy Spirit for strategies to excel in your field, and also ask Him for wisdom to gain wealth. The more wisdom you have, the more wealth you can accumulate without getting dirty.

Father, I thank You for the privilege of partnering with You in the Great Commission. I declare that I am equipped with the Holy Spirit's guidance to excel in my field and accumulate wealth. I confess that I am a kingdom influencer, using my success and influence to advance Your kingdom. I pray for wisdom and strategies to gain wealth, and for the integrity to steward it well. May my life reflect Your glory, and may others be inspired to follow You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

TOPIC: Why Dominion Matters For The Great Commission (2)

*Message*

Jesus is Lord over all - and the Church has been entrusted with the responsibility of showcasing this truth by imprinting His Lordship in all segments of human endeavour. Jesus must be glorified on earth, and His glory comes from the church in partnership with the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has blessed His church with everything, and the church must rise in glory if it must also reflect the glory of the Christ. But the glory of the Church comes from its dominion over principalities, powers, and all of creation. The church must flourish both in priesthood and kingship. Dominion is a rod to exercise kingship.

Fortunately, influence is a potent mechanism for dominion. Influence is the ability to cause a person and territory to buy into your convictions and ideology without using force or cruelty. So, while believers must be properly equipped for effective evangelism, they must also be effectively equipped to be influential in their various fields and sectors.

When you are influential on the strength of the applications of kingdom principles, those that matter in that field would be drawn to you, and they want to learn what you are doing. Several stakeholders in your sector will express interest in being tutored and mentored by your ideology.

When they come to you, you educate them along the lines of kingdom principles, even if you packaged it in a secular/academic outlook. Several others will admire and adore you so much so they will inform you that, "Your God will be my God"!

Father, I thank You for entrusting me with the responsibility of showcasing Your Lordship in all areas of life. I declare that I am equipped to exercise dominion and influence in my sphere, reflecting Your glory. I confess that I am a kingdom influencer, impacting my world with Your truth. I pray for the wisdom to apply kingdom principles, drawing people to Your light. May my life be a testimony of Your goodness, and may others be inspired to follow You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
