Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(23rd July, 2025)* by *Sunday Akanni* TOPIC: Actions Of Obedience (2) Hebrews 11:17 NKJV By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, *Message* In Genesis 12:1, we see "Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you." As hard as that was (particularly considering his age, the fact that he ought to have being established in his own land by now), the man still obeyed: "So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran." (Genesis 12:4). On the account of his obedience, "Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him." (Genesis 12:7 NKJV). Finally came a tougher command meant to, unknown to him, establish his faith: "Then He (God) said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:2). Amazingly, the man still took an instant action of obedience - "So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. [9] Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. [10] And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son." (Genesis 22:3, 9-10). Now, here comes the blessings for his actions of obedience - [11] But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” So he said, “Here I am.” [12] And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” [15] Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, [16] and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—[17] blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. [18] In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” Genesis 22:11-12, 15-18 NKJV *Prayers/Confessions* Father, help me to know what You will have me do this week, and empower me to do. *Further Reading* Romans 4:3 NKJV [3] For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” |
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(22nd July, 2025)* by *Sunday Akanni* TOPIC: Actions Of Obedience Hebrews 11:13 NKJV [13] These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. *Message* When it comes to actions of obedience, these fathers of faith are pretty much exemplary. One of the fathers in the land said, "Faith is not just saying what God has said; faith is doing what God has said." We must understand that every time there is no doing, you do not commit God to perform. Every promise of God has a condition attached to it - you have to find the condition and obey. You must always be ready to act on the word (both in scriptures and those given directly by the Holy Spirit) to see results. You can't be excellent in priesthood as a believer if you are not excellent in obedience to the dictates of God. So, when you engage spiritual activities like prayer and you are legislating over a matter, always search for the instructions God is passing across over that matter. As you engage the instructions, results become prominent. Remember God's word - “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. [2] And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:" (Deuteronomy 28:1-2 NKJV). Finally, Jesus has this to say, "If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them." (John 13:17 NKJV). *Prayers/Confessions* Father, help me to know what You will have me do this week, and empower me to do. *Further Reading* Joshua 1:8 NKJV [8] This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. |
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(21st July, 2025)* by *Sunday Akanni* TOPIC: Be Versed In The Principles Of The Kingdom And The Realm Of The Spirit 1 Timothy 4:15 - "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all." *Message* You must know how to engage spiritual activities like prayer based on a superb knowledge of the principles of the kingdom and the realm of the spirit. Indeed, the kingdom and realm of the spirit is a knowledge dependent affair - what you know determines what you get. Do you want favour, success, honour? Do you know the principles that govern them? For those who get pleasant results consistently, faith involves praying from a position of spiritual responsibility. That is, you discharge spiritual responsibility and engage the principles attached to what you desire, then come to the place of prayer to claim its results without delay. This light makes prayer cease to be a struggle. The issue with many believers today has been exposed in Psalm 82:5. "They do not know, nor do they understand.." The results were that, ".. they walk about in darkness.." Therefore, for such believers, "...all the foundations of the earth are unstable." And verse six was now explaining that this is not God's perfect Will for His own, because: "You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High." Lack of light makes princes walk on barefoot like servants, while servants ride on horsebacks. So, dear reader, keep investing in knowledge. Know the things you need to know that can help you become better in your praying efforts (you can ask the Holy Spirit right now to open your eyes and also direct you to the things you ought to know). As you attract light, spend a lot of time on meditation until understanding is established. Don't rush reading the Bible and other good spiritual materials - you are in no competition with anybody. Rather, ponder on the eternal truths until comprehension is established, and it becomes light in your spirit. 1 Timothy 4:15 - "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all." *Prayers/Confessions* I'm flooded with light from scriptures to carry out effective priesthood. *Further Reading* Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." |
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(20th July, 2025)* by *Sunday Akanni* TOPIC: The Sweet Things Of God's Blessings Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it. *Message* The blessings of God find expression in sweet ways upon a blessed person. As folks with a dominion mandate, we need resources to exercise true dominion on earth. It is God's Will that we prosper in all things and have abundance. This will empower us to bring about His Will in whatever capacity He has called us. Prosperity is a tool that can be used to advance what is in the heart of God for you in the space He has ordained for you. Poverty and lack are ugly and are never God's Will for us. There are people with a message for their generation but die with it because they don't have the resources needed to birth their destiny. As you embrace the blessings of God via engaging kingdom principles that bring God's blessings, one of the immediate results you will embrace is favor. Favour is an attractive supernatural garment that comes upon you, and makes people (both mortals and immortals) find pleasure in blessing you and ensuring your well-being and progress. People will always be ready and eager to bless you and go out of their way to ensure your well-being and progress. Favor compels people to make you their preference. There's something wrong if you have to sweat to get all you have. Even of Jesus it was said, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with GOD and men." Luke 2:52 Jesus would have been limited if He only increased in wisdom and stature. But note that He had favor "with GOD and men" and was aptly empowered to fulfill His ministry. *Prayers* Ask the LORD to help you position yourself for an outpouring of His blessings. *Further Reading* "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with GOD and men." Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(19th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: Pray With The Strength Of Light Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." *MESSAGE* Like the patriarchs in the bible, we must approach spiritual activities with light and knowledge. We must be fully aware of the promises of God and then engage prayers on the strength that God cannot lie (sort of holding God to ransom). Faith must involve the knowledge and understanding of the reality and reliability of God. Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." This scripture must become a reality to us, and we must be empowered to not doubt nor waver at the place of prayer. We must be well familiar with what God has said concerning the issue you want to see the Hand of God upon. If you want to break a curse over a territory, you should know what the word of God has said (and is saying) over the issue and then legislate on the strength of that truth. If you want to declare an increase and blessings over your family, you should know what the word of God has promised about increase and blessings, and then move with it. Don't forget that even the Lord Jesus Himself while on earth, kept declaring "for it is written" as a testimony to the extent of light He had from God's word. Therefore, as sons of the fathers, we should saturate ourselves with specific things God has done, to the extent where we have faith in His abilities over those things, even if the current situation is contrary. What has God said about good health? About prosperity? About success? About long life? Saturate yourself with these things and engage Priesthood on the strength of the light that comes *Prayers* I'm flooded with light from scriptures to carry out effective priesthood. *Further Reading* 1 Timothy 4:15 - "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all." |
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(18th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: The Prayers Of The Gentile Woman Matthew 15:21-28 NKJV [21] Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. [22] And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” [23] But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” [24] But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” [25] Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” [26] But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” [27] And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” [28] Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. *MESSAGE* This gentile woman knew that her child's situation was not God's perfect Will, and her faith guided her towards engaging fruitful priesthood. All through today's opening scripture, you lavishly see priesthood intelligence at work - faith guided the gentile woman to conduct this effective prayer enterprise that fetched her a pleasant reward for her efforts at long last. She approached Jesus and engaged worship, before taking the step to make a specific demand from the LORD. When it seems as if she won't get her demand, her faith made her persistent. You see, strong faith ensures you keep asking for those specific demands even if you aren't seeing results yet. Faith empowers you to stay. To learn from this gentile woman, once you know that what is happening in the life of your loved ones is not consistent with God's perfect Will, don't hesitate to engage priesthood so you can enforce God's perfect Will over them instead. Finally, apparently, priesthood can be effective over gentiles/unbelievers too. This means that when you see an unbeliever you know who's not living in line with God's perfect Will for their lives (for instance, living a sinful lifestyle and haven't made Jesus Christ Lord and Savior), you can enforce God's perfect Will upon them too (that all men come to the saving knowledge of Christ) in the place of prayer. *Prayers* Ask the LORD for something particular over any of your loved ones who is not yet experiencing God's perfect Will over any aspect of their lives. *Further Reading* Luke 18:8 NKJV [8] I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. The LORD, He is God!" And Elijah said to them, "Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!" So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there". (1 Kings 18:39,40) *MESSAGE* The nation of Israel has been enveloped with idolatry, and all hope seems to be lost. However, Elijah conducted priesthood and shut the heavens for three and a half years to prepare the ground for a massive spiritual revival in the land. At the end of the three and a half years, he came back to give birth to the revival he has conceived on the altar of prayers. After calling down fire at Mount Carmel, the Bible says: "Now when the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!" And Elijah said to them, "Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!" So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there". (1 Kings 18:39,40) Elijah was able to restore the worship of Yahweh back to Israel via the power available on the altar of Priesthood, which he accessed through faith. Today, there are several territories where worldliness and ungodliness have become their idol. I want you to know that there are great powers made available on the altar of prayer, and we can by faith appropriate this power to bring a spiritual revival upon the land, even in just a single day. As a territorial revivalist, you can do a lot in the twinkling of an eye. "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she gave birth to her children" (Isaiah 66: .*Prayers* Ask the LORD to use you as a revivalist in the nations of the world *Further Reading* Psalms 2:8 "Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession" |
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(16th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: Accessing Wisdom And Light To Solve National Problems On The Altar Of Prayer Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him. (Daniel 2:1 NKJV) *MESSAGE* Nebuchadnezzar had had a dream, and he is ready to destroy thousands of people if they won't tell him the dream and its interpretation. This is a hard thing to do, but Daniel, by faith, knew that he could have access to anything on the altar of prayer. Indeed, by faith, Daniel got the answer in a night vision and solved a national problem that led to his promotion. Dear Christian, by faith, we can have access to revelation and strategies on the altar of prayer, which could change the destiny of nations and territories. We can get wisdom and light, which can provide solutions to national and territorial issues. It is true that our societies are still bedevilled with terrible problems because we aren't getting it right yet with priesthood. Poverty, diseases, prostitution, and all manner of societal ills which governments can't apparently solve. We can get the solution to all of these on the altar of prayer by faith. Expertise in priesthood can make us national and territorial superstars, as it did to Daniel. An expression of expertise in priesthood is how your spirit becomes an excellent one, where it easily has unhindered access to the realm of the spirit (where deep knowledge and wisdom and mystery resides). When you know the things which ordinary men would never know, you naturally get ahead of them in this natural world. *Prayers* Ask the LORD to reveal to you solutions to pertinent societal issues. *Further Reading* Daniel 2:19 NKJV [19] Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(15th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: The Name Of Jesus Is The Key To The World Of Answered Prayers "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13) *MESSAGE* Jesus Himself said in John 14:13 and John 16:23,24 "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name He will give you. Until now, you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full" Can you pause for some time? Running upon the revelation of the above verse, can you start making demands to the LORD, in the Name of Jesus! Ask anything in the Name of Jesus! If you want to keep getting constant results in the place of prayer, you must do so with light, so you won't keep labouring like fools. One prominent thing we should know is that it is the Name of Jesus that is the way to the Presence of God (which is a safe divine environment where we can conduct priesthood for our own favour). So, Jesus says, "I am the way...No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6). Prayer is a major affair. However, it is possible to waste hours in the place of prayer if we weren't given access to the realm where our prayers would be treated in the first place. Thus, we must always intentionally use the Name of Jesus to secure access into the eternal heights where our prayers will be favoured. The Name of Jesus guarantees access and delivery in prayer. Indeed, the Name is the key to the world of answered prayers. Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". A version says, "in Christ who..." The kingdom mentality is an "I-can-do" mentality, through great faith in the Name of Jesus Christ. Without the Name of Jesus, we can't fulfil our dominion mandate. You are not helpless nor hopeless. You are advantaged greatly. This is your inheritance as a son of God in His kingdom. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name He will give you. Until now, you have asked nothing in My name. Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(14th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: Do Everything In The Name Of Jesus Micah 4:5 - "For all people walk each in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever." *MESSAGE* There are dimensions in God that are only accessible through the Name of God. There are dimensions in the spirit that can never be unlocked except the Name is engaged. There is no one that has a close dealing with God in the Old Testament that God didn't reveal His Name to. They walked victoriously in their generation in the Name of the LORD. Even in ancient times, people who are aware of spiritual operations (either positive or negative) are not ignorant of the significance of a name in that unseen realm. Thus, different people live their lives in confidence in the name of what they believed (their god). The prophets of baal, for instance, have great confidence in the name of baal, that they continued calling his name for hours. Even today, some people walk in the name of gods like science, technology, religion, mammon, and so on But we have been giving a Name that is above and better than every other name - even the Name of Jesus Christ. We, too, must walk in the Name of Jesus. This becomes realistic as we engage what the Holy Spirit reveals in Colossians 3:17 - "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus." Start your day with the Name of Jesus. Step out of the house in the Name of Jesus. Read and study your books in the Name of Jesus. Do your business in the Name of Jesus. Speak to others and interact with them in the Name of Jesus. End your day in the Name of Jesus. Always walk with the consciousness that you are a partaker of the Name, seated in the heavenly places with the LORD. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11 *MESSAGE* Let's celebrate the Name of Jesus in worship. That Name made ordinary people like us become prominent eternal creatures. The Name of Jesus not only makes us live a victorious life here in time, but it also paved the way to become shining creatures when we find ourselves in the corridor of eternity. The Name of Jesus given to an ordinary fisherman like Peter (Acts 3:6) turned him into a world-changer (one of those who turned the world upside-down), but also empowered him to be one of the twelve who will sit with Christ in eternity to judge the tribe of Israel (Luke 22:30). Colossians 3:17 says - "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" In other words, we should give thanks to God in the Name of Jesus. That Name is very special to the LORD. So, spend time to give God worship in the Name of Jesus. In fact, without the Name of Jesus, we will be cut off from the earth by the enemy before our time. Because scripture says, the Name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and finds safety. We are ever grateful to God for the versatility resident in the Name of Jesus. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* Micah 4:5 - "For all people walk each in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever." |

While consistency with those beautiful things can show you a glimpse of victory, the Name of Jesus is the real deal. So, Philippians 2:10 says, "at the name of Jesus..." Not simply "at the mention of...". If you want to see results with the Name, you must utilize it from a standpoint of one seated in the heavenly places with Christ. The Name is a position in the Spirit. So, even when you are calling "Jesus," you should call it with that consciousness - the consciousness that you have been made a partaker of the Name. Always remember, you are seated in the heavenly places with Christ through faith in Him (Ephesians 2:6), and you are now one with Him (John 14:20,23). It means what He has is now yours, and vice versa. Hence, you can stand on the consciousness of one who has access to the office of the Christ (who is LORD over everything) and make things happen for your good. If you can walk in this, you will never be helpless and hopeless in life. You will always live a constant life of victory, which is our portion as sons of God. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(11th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: Praying In The Name Of Jesus (4) "The LORD says to my Lord, 'Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool" Psalm 110:1 *MESSAGE* Basically, the office of the Christ which Jesus earned was an entrustment given Him by the heavens without partiality or emotionalism. Such critical heavenly entrustments can only be earned with the currency of faithfulness. Now, the incredible thing is this (which should revive and boast your love and admiration for the Lord Jesus). The whole idea behind His sacrifices to occupy the office of the Christ was because of we humans. He came down to be willingly abused; He went to hades to battle the enemy; so that He can eventually drag us with Him to be seated with Him in the heavenly places! Amazing Jesus! Imagine such love and selflessness! So, anyone who embraces Jesus as Lord and Saviour, such will be given the Name of Jesus. The victory He gave us is the access we have to His Name. The Life of God is hidden in that Name. The Righteousness of God is in that Name. The Authority of God is in that Name. The Name of Jesus saves. The Name of Jesus delivers. The Name of Jesus doesn't just contain healings, breakthroughs, etc, but it carries the essence of everything God. The embodiment of all that God is, is captured in that Name. Believers have been given this Name. But why are we not living a life of victory? Simply because, majority are yet to have a genuine encounter with that Name. We are yet to have a revelation of the Name. We are not aware of the great power that resides in the Name we just call casually and religiously. By faith, the believer has been given the privilege of Oneness to a Name. I'm talking about the reality of what Christ has done and our access to it. It is not enough to know how to call the Name. But we must consciously have access to it. Today, pray in the Name of Jesus! *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(10th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: Praying In The Name Of Jesus (3) "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11 *MESSAGE* You should realize that the name "Jesus" is the english translation of a human name given Him by His human parents - Joseph and Mary. Hence, our Lord Jesus isn't the only One bearing the name "Jesus" here on earth. For instance, there are still several people in Latin America in particular, bearing the name "Jesus." But, in different parts of scriptures where His eternal Identities were being revealed, He was identified with expressions like the "Word of God" (John 1), "Captain of the Host of the LORD" (Joshua 5:14), "Faithful and True" (Revelation 19:11), "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (Revelation 19:16), "Wonderful", "Counselor", "The Mighty God", "The everlasting Father", "The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9), etc. This should lead us to something pivotal we should know when we are calling the name Jesus. It is not merely in the calling of the name in itself that makes things happen (remember the incident of the sons of Sceva), but the Person we are referring to, as a result of the office of the Christ that He occupies. The office of the Christ made Him LORD over all, and everything was placed under Him. Let's do a brief exploration of Psalms 110:1 and Philippians 2:5-11 "The LORD says to my Lord, 'Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool" Psalm 110:1 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:5-11 There is an office preserved in and from eternity for a personality who will be worthy of occupying it. Whoever the person would be, such must prove that they truly deserve it, as it won't be given as a gift. The Word of God (who we will eventually know to be Jesus) took the steps necessary to become befitting to assume this office. He came to the earth realm to live a victorious life - He overcome sin and self and death, and still proceeded to hades to plunder hell and satan. Upon the fullness of His obedience to the eternal divine order, sacrificially and impressively, He was exalted into the office of the Christ, granted a Personality that will always be above every other. After the coronation, He sat down at the right hand of the Father, and the nature of the office is that He is Lord over all. When you pray, therefore, in His Name, great things happen! Amen. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* "The LORD says to my Lord, 'Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool" Psalm 110:1 |

Philippians 2:9-11 *MESSAGE* Since Jesus is the fullness of the God-head, hence the Name of Jesus is superior to the individual dimensions of God in the Old Testament. Before the Name of Jesus was given us, the patriarchs of old experienced and walked with different individual dimensions of God, and they named Him as such. But speaking of Jesus, through the Holy Ghost, Apostle Paul would say: "And it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell" Colossians 1:17 So, the Name of Jesus is versatile and can be engaged to experience different dimensions of God as needed at that very moment. This means we have more advantages than the patriarchs in the Old Testament. Jesus even said while John the Baptist is greater than the Old Testament patriarchs, the least in the Kingdom is greater than John (and by implication, the Old Testament patriarchs). Why? Because we in the Kingdom have the Name of Jesus, which they don't have. If you don't exercise your authority in Christ Jesus, you will be frustrated. We are saved by the authority in Christ and are given the Name of Jesus to exercise that authority. You don't align with your circumstances. You cause your circumstances to align with the word of God. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* "Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:10-12 |

Philippians 2:9-11 *MESSAGE* It's important to know the place of the Name of Jesus in getting successful with our praying efforts. The LORD has this to say: "And these signs will follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; (in My name) they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; (in My name) they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16:17, 18 Let's make a brief comment on the mystery of a name. Basically, a name is a system of identification. When you call a name, you are identifying a person, for who he is, and for what he represents. But there are even deeper mysteries attached to a name. In the realm of the spirit, a name can be a prophetic trigger to the possibilities in the life of the bearer. When a name is mentioned, it opens the door to the possibilities the bearer carries. The concept of a name is so powerful that there are certain things God can't do without a name. Before He could bless Abraham, He had to first change His name (Genesis 17:5). Same with Sarah (Genesis 17:15). Same with Jacob (Genesis 32:28). Even Jesus told Peter that he would no longer be called Simon, but Peter (John 1:42). In fact, according to Acts 4 vs 12, salvation won't be perfected without the appearance of a name: "...for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" A name must be involved. The power and mystery of a name are unending. In fact, in the realm of the spirit, when a man carries the name of a spirit, he carries the possibilities of the spirit. The essence of all these is to open our eyes to the pivotal place of the name of Jesus if we are to flourish in our prayer enterprises. If we want to legislate in the courts of heaven and see tangible results, the Name of Jesus must be alive to us. This seems to be a basic foundational thing in the faith, but unfortunately, many christians are still suffering under creation because they are yet to know the power and endless possibilities attached to the Name of Jesus, which they simply call casually and religiously. *Prayers* Bless the LORD for the preciousness of the Name of Jesus. *Further Reading* "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise and walk. Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional (6th July 2025) by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: 3 Things Every Young Person Should Ask For Today Ephesians 1:17-21 NKJV: "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come." *MESSAGE* It's a good thing to begin to serve God from the days of your youth. A wise youth is one who is occupied with seeking the LORD and shunning the corruption of this corrupt world. You can always seek the LORD in the place of prayer, and you must, therefore, intentionally have a strong prayer life (you will be glad you did when you get old). In the place of prayer, you can engage these today: 1. Based on Ephesians 1:17-21 Father, in the Name of Jesus. I thank you for giving me spiritual wisdom and insight so that I grow in my knowledge of You. My heart is flooded with light and I understand the confident hope You have given to those You called, your holy people who are your rich and glorious inheritance. I understand the incredible greatness of Your power for those who believe in You. It is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else – not only in this world but also in the world to come. Amen! 2. Based on Ephesians 3:16–20 Father in the Name of Jesus. I thank You that from Your glorious, unlimited resources You empower me with inner strength through Your Spirit. Christ makes His home in my heart as I trust in Him. My roots grow down into God’s love and keep me strong. I have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and deep Your love is. I experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. I am made complete with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to You, God, who is able through Your mighty power at work within me to accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think. Hallelujah! 3. Based on Philippians 1:9–11 Father in the Name of Jesus. Your love overflows more and more in me and I keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. I understand what really matters, so that I live a pure and blameless life until the day of Christ’s return. I am always filled with the fruit of Your salvation – the righteous character produced in my life by Jesus Christ – and this brings much glory and praise to God. *Prayers* Praise God for prayers answered! *Further Reading* Ecclesiastes 12:1 "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, 'I find no pleasure in them.'"

Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(5th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: It’s Time To Pray For Your Political Leaders 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." *MESSAGE* God wants us to lavish quality time on raising incense of intercession for our leaders. Aside the fact that it will produce a good society that will enable believers tend their personal relationships with the Lord with ease, a functional society without violence and chaos will also make the work of soul winning and establishment flourish as it ought to. So, when God says we should pray for our leaders, He is also looking beyond those ungodly leaders, but looking towards the souls that will be brought into His kingdom when the society is now being driven by kingdom principles one way or the other. Jesus said: “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38) It will be easy for labourers to come in and join themselves to kingdom ventures if we have a great and prosperous society. This is one of the major factors Europe and America could afford to send Missionaries to other parts of the world many years ago. As personal godliness cannot easily flourish in a dilapidated society, kingdom services will also suffer in a dysfunctional society. For instance, if there is constant violence in an area, evangelistic efforts will be frustrated. Hence, we must keep praying for our political leaders intentionally so that through them, the Lord can grant us a conducive society for us and His Will to thrive. *Prayers* Pray for your leaders *Further Reading* Romans 13:7: "Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor." |
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(4th July 2025)* by Sunday Akanni TOPIC: Test All Things I Thessalonians 5:21 NKJV Test all things; hold fast what is good. *MESSAGE* In recent times, we have emphasized prophecy, and I'm sure you are already properly equipped. Now, it is necessary to create some balances here and there. First of all, any prophecy must be subjected to God's Word as written in the scripture of truth, before you embrace such. In other words, any prophetic utterance that contradicts the Bible should be quickly discarded. The Bible is the ultimate litmus test, and you must be properly versed in it. Secondly, if someone else is giving you a prophetic word, you must be sure it is by God's Spirit before embracing such. Generally, prophetic words from others are meant to exhort and edify you, and not to give you directions (you have the Holy Spirit in you). Finally, as you keep growing in God and in the things of the spirit, your spiritual receptacles are continually sharpened, and your discernment gets better. You should learn to discern and only yield to what is birthed by the Holy Ghost. *Prayers* I grow in God and in the things of the Spirit. (9) 1 Timothy 1:18-19 TPT [18-19] So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. For there are many who reject these virtues and are now destitute of the true faith, *MESSAGE* How pleasant it is when God's people prophesy in spirit and in truth! What a great blessing we are when we prophesy! Prophesy is a formidable tool for shaping destinies, just like we could see in the case of Timothy. Timothy's life was appropriately shaped by the instrumentality of prophecy, even when he was still much younger. How beautiful it is when parents prophesy over their children every day! In our focus scripture, Paul established that every believer can't but wage spiritual warfare, directly or indirectly. Fortunately, we are advantaged, since we have the weapon of prophecy with us! Prophecy is a sharp weapon that helps us experience perpetual victory! *Prayers* I prophesy, I am advantaged! *Further Reading* I Thessalonians 5:19-20 [19] Do not quench the Spirit. [20] Do not despise prophecies. *MESSAGE* Prophesy remains a cardinal gift of the Holy Spirit that is still vehemently needed in the church today. The kingdom of darkness suffers a lot when the gift is being appropriately utilized. As expected, darkness will always make attempts to quench our light and evade us of our advantages. Hence, today, various folks insist that the gift of prophecy has ceased and disappeared and that such spiritual abilities are no longer needed to function in the church. This is a big lie! There is nowhere in scripture that indicates that the gift of prophecy is going to cease in our time and age. It is still an active function of the Holy Spirit in the church, His beloved. Never ignore or take for granted the gift of prophecy, for you will cause a lot of damages if you do so. Prophecy helps us keep the fire and inspiration of the Holy Ghost burning. When despised, a person or a church can end up putting off the fire of the Holy Spirit. *Prayers* I prophesy, I am advantaged! *Further Reading* 1 Corinthians 12:10 TPT [10] And to another the power to work miracles. Don't ever forget that faith is strong yet flexible, as faith grows. You must be busy with all you can to keep stretching the measure of faith that resides in yout spirit when you embraced Jesus as LORD and Savior. Faith grows as it is being engaged (since faith itself is inherently proactive). As we keep engaging in more spiritual activities, it helps our faith grow. You will be amazed that many people who pray or speak great stuff with their mouth, don't really have faith for what they are praying about. One of the proofs is that they stop declaring it when results are not forthcoming. Many even have other alternatives and plans even before they start engaging spiritual activities. Jesus told us to, "Ask until your joy is full" (John 16:24). So, keep speaking and declaring God's word over your life and all that concerns you until you see all conform to God's perfect design. Keep at it until you get results. Fortunately, faith is what enables you to get going even if it appears the answer won't come forth. Faith empowers us not to give up asking and declaring, even if it would take years before seeing the dividends. *Prayers* I prophesy, I am advantaged! *Further Reading* 1 Corinthians 12:10 TPT [10] And to another the power to work miracles. We said if you will devote good energy to building your faith, you will enjoy the gift and dividends of prophecy in very great proportions! Now, let's spend some good time emphasising faith. Faith is a powerful mystery. It is a spiritual law attached to the very foundations of the world (Hebrews 11:3) and a prerequisite to maximizing all the blessings the Kingdom has to offer. Faith is a gift of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9), as well as a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Faith is a heavenly currency that mortals must use to make transactions in the courts of heaven. If we want our words to strike relevance in the realm of the spirit as we prophesy, then we need a great deal of faith. Even the Name of Jesus that we engage to access heaven in prayer, must be approached with faith before the door is opened for us. (2)* 1 Corinthians 14:1 TPT [1] It is good that you are enthusiastic and passionate about spiritual gifts, especially prophecy. *MESSAGE* Prophecy is a supernatural utterance in a known human language or tongue. It is powered by the Spirit of God, performed by the strength of His Arms. Yesterday, we saw how King Asa received a prophecy even in the Old Testament dispensation and the resultant effects it fetched. The prophecy turned his life and that of his kingdom around for good. They have these things in a measure, but in our new testament era of grace, we have all things in Christ Jesus! In 1 Corinthians 12, some spiritual gifts available for Christians in this dispensation of grace were captured, including the gift of prophecy (vs 10). This gift is a supernatural ability given by the Holy Ghost to speak and proclaim the word of God. At times, the gift is very helpful in predicting the future. (4) Romans 12:6 NKJV [6] Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; *MESSAGE* It's appropriate to stress the necessity of maximizing the gift of prophecy. Now, our focus scripture today made us realise the truth that the proportion of the faith you've chosen to manifest would determine the operations of the gift of prophecy you possess. We all received a measure of faith from the LORD upon surrendering to Him (Romans 12:3). However, faith is not only strong but also stretchable. You can keep growing in faith as you keep building the muscles of the measure of faith you've received. Then, the greater your faith, the better the operations of the spiritual gifts you've possessed. So, two persons can be blessed with the gift of prophecy at the same time. However, the one who keep building their faith will keep having better results with the gift.
