But they can buy cars?

What the masses suffer in Nigeria is more than the slaves did during the slave era.

That my fore-father that hid in the bush when they were picking slaves, may he not rest in peace as I am not resting in this country.

I could have been balling with kanye by now, or I could have even been kanye.

All he had to do was take some harsh strokes...

Coward!

lmao.

kai. my guy you wicked.

Since the turn of this month, our network providers has reduced the cost of buying internet data plans like for example one can get 12gb data at the price of N5000 and also increased their N1000 and N2000 monthly data which is now 1.5gb for N1000 and 3.5gb for N2000.

This is really a big loss to data Resellers and I'm pitying them especially this period of hard economy. Just now, i saw an advert on a website where a data Reseller is selling 1gb data @N1200 and i know it is an old ads that is before this development.

Data Resellers on nairaland, how is this development affecting your business or do you guys plan to offer something lower and better to what our network providers just offered.

pls which network is selling 12gig for 5k?

Hmm Imo state again?

The rate of crime especially kidnapping in that state has risen astronomically high in the last few months.

Just last week the 'aunt' of my fiancee was kidnapped and everything she had including her jeep, laptops and cash were taken. Only God knows why they released her and never asked for ransom.

That state is currently in a mess and I don't think the governor can do anything about it presently.

Heavy Rainfall Broke One Of The Tallest Tree In Gombe. Photos updated!!

Hello nairalanders,
yesterday marks the second rain in Gombe local government Gombe state.
The rain was so heavy that nobody was outside. Some minutes after the rain started, we heard a very loud bang. everybody thought it was a bomb blast.
these morning, we came out and saw that the longest tree in our neighborhood and probably one of the longest tree in Gombe state broke last night due to the strong wind and heavy rainfall last night.
I dont know the English name for the tree but northerners call it Gibino tree.
The tree serves as habitat for bats because of its height.
these morning, people came to hunt for bat and about 1000 or more bats were caught because bats can't see in the morning.
pictures of the tree below.

where are the bats na. I want to see pictures of the bats.

Any updates on this. Have aour nigerian teams fallen out of the tournaments?

Have you ever wanted to develop a hybrid app? have an app idea that has been bugging you? want to create the next big thing like whatsapp or truecaller? Then this training is right for you.

Let me explain for a while what an app is. An app as defined by Wikipedia as software designed to run on smartphones and other mobile devices. people now use mobile phones like mad. Smart phones are now everywhere and 80% of all activities on smart phones are done with apps? You are a witness to this. The Main App Stores- Google, Apple and Twitter are paying Developers lots of money for their app. Apps as silly as iFart (an App for different sounds of mess. Yes! Mess. Fart) is earning money. Is your app there among the pack?

I can tell you that as a programmer specialized skills is what you need right now. Either in mobile app development or software Engineering. focusing or concentrating on web designs and development will not really get you the wealth and income you desire. it might pay the bills but real wealth. Nada!

Our app training workshop is kicking off soon. This will be the 4th Session we'll be having since inception last year. here are reasons why you shouldn't miss it.
https://mobileapp.siscomedia.com.ng/images/pixtraining.png

1. You'll get trained by seasoned professionals (not just people who teach but people who build apps too)
2. One-on-one Hands on training on how to develop apps from scratch (and you'll submit your app project before you get your certificate)
3. An opportunity to network and form partnerships with like minded app developers (who knows you might just form a bond that will help create the next whatsapp-like phenomenon)

Plus we are adding an extra surprise course this Session. You'll learn how to monetize your Apps, How does Whatsapp make money? What of candycrush? Which is Better to get paid in $ or N? How can you charge for your apps here in Nigeria? Will charging from clients credit work like the callertunes service?, etc.

And also learn about 2 places to advertise online to get jobs.
https://www.visionmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Developing-for-clients-pays-better.png

According to Forbes.com the consensus around the industry is that Google dominates the mobile market with 900 million users, while Apple follows with 600 million iOS devices purchased, and Microsoft comes in third place with an estimated 12 million Windows Phones sold (the vast majority of those, 81%, being sold by Nokia (now windows). See the Amount paid out to App developers so far

U didn't state if candidate will be placed on attracted salary or not. Very many professional developers are freelancers. If you would need a professional, remove location barrier. Just my opinion anyway
