What should I do? I had it reformatted last time and it still persisted.
Sometime later,I changes it from 1GB ram it was running on before,to 2GB.It was fast but after a while, its gone slow again and takes ages to load a program.

I took it to somebody today and he said I should get rid of the Avast Antivirus I have in it ,that's its heavy and can make my system to slow down.

However I'm thinking that perhaps I may need to increase the ram again.I have videos on it and plenty of documents.can they slow down a system?

Help needed please.

Unsafe beans will be surplus and you are happy? Did u really understand the reason for the ban? People who care about their citizens are protecting them and you are jumping up and down for contaminated food by your countrymen
papaejima1:
Ahh, it means that beans will become cheap locally as there will be excess in the market abi?

If we had a Minister in charge of Agric, he would have seen the handwriting on the wall and taken steps to at least postpone the hammer to allow time for implementation of stringent measures, but whosai?

Christianity EtcRe: Why Criticism Of Religion Is Important In Contemporary Africa by intrepid: 7:04am On Jul 28, 2015
I'm not surprised. Many people who criticize religion always think they are making sense but soon discover how pale and hollow their senseless argument is.
CelebritiesRe: NDA Comes For Rapper MI And Charass For Wearing Camo (Photo) by intrepid: 3:53pm On Jul 27, 2015
In developed countries, camouflage is worn as a sign of solidarity with the army and a sign of love for them...But I Nigeria, the army keeps molesting innocent folks for nothing.Even if they want to go after camouflage wearers, why bother renowned artists and other innocent folks?
What about Shekau and co?

I just hope that MI and Charass would report this beforehand to avoid any nonsense.

What rubbish! Our army shout focus on sworn terrorist and leave struggling Nigerians alone

Why not report this guy to his bank so they could take appropriate measures. You did well by inadvertently obtaining his details but you should go further so that he could end up in police net and be treated right because we are tired of such people.Lets wipe them out of our country.

LET NO BODY BOTHER THAT MAN.he has just become the first Nigerian to bring it down here and has been brave enough to practice the trick. That stuff is a money maker in London and USA and everyone knows its a trick,it depends on how creative the performer is.So i don’t see anything wrong in what the guy is doing and very soon others will start their own so let no man stop this by talking or doing nonsense there.
EducationWhy This Huge Difference Please?(pics) by intrepid(op): 5:17am On Jul 17, 2015
USA =$7.99 or N1877

Elsewhere as you can see=Frw 7,950 or N2,270 (I paid cash)

Nigeria =N500 only!

I made my collections from that guy at TBS,you know him?...lol.He got plenty classics.

Friends have told me that the books are pirated copies and a sabotage of their authors works but they don't look pirated-same in every way.

The books are same like the one I bought which I just uploaded, their paper quality and print is same.Sometimes I opened the pack myself, sealed tight;hence I have been wondering why the extra gaping difference in cover price especially in Nigeria.

Does anyone know please?

Those times when my dad's faulty stereo would 'chop' the tape and change to the music to that of some confused aliens singing .

Sharply my sister go shout "Tunde press stop o ti n ko je " meaning the radio is "chopping" the tape . The perfect solution to fix the chopped tape is this two combo being displayed , it worked like magic back then.

raayah:
Bashing America once again??

Don't you pay for water in Nigeria too? How many restaurants do you go to in Nigeria that gives free pure water?

It is Illegal to a resturant to charge for water in most states in U.S. So your post is not true about that.

Free??

They are many shelters for homeless people, countless food banks and soup kitchens.
You also receive welfare , discounted living and bus pass if your making below a certain wage.
911 and emergency service will respond on call.

The other day I was in a situation and the cops got here in less than 5 minutes. I'd rather stay here.

How many shelters do you have in your country?
What is free in Nigeria?

You need ID Card to enter certain places because the government cares about the people. A 16 year old should not be at the club drinking alcohol. They are extremely vulnerable. Are you bashing a country for caring for its people.

Minimum monthly wage in america in Naira is 255,200 . (assuming 40 hr/wk at 7.25/hr at 220dollars = 1 Naira)
Minimum monthly wage in Nigeria is 18,000.

Things cannot be sold at the same price.

Americans never post about why they hate Nigeria because well, they know they're better.
Inferiority complex is a terrible thing.

As for you mr big shot Omenka, what do you do for a living? You are here 24/7 posting per pay for your sleaze masters and you expect us to believe you are of right IQ? Poverty!

Useless tout claiming intellect .

Osogbo slowpoke claiming acamedia where you are nothing but an on line shill trying to shove useless politicians down others throats.

Politics section ought not to be merely partisan but rather to discus and proffer real solutions but since you fools landed here you have totally reduced the narrative to partisan affiliation.

May God punish you wherever you are posting from for declaring yourself as some one of high IQ.

What are your achievements in life for you to claim that you are of higher intelligence here?

Remember this saying very well: if it ain't making dollars then it ain't making sense.

Useless e tout claiming sense.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Nairaland Really Nigerian Minds? by intrepid(op): 7:22pm On Jul 12, 2015
Thanks dear.I have already done that as i reviewed my post just now.I hadn’t enough time to proofread well in the morning. My most sincere appreciations,Omenka.

And,yes i believe it mirrors how "some people" really think in real life;only difference been that they are in a faceless forum where they can act as they like. The major issue is that it affects all of us in real life.Thats why im not comfortable with people who are saying that we should not take this too seriously.

i can tell you that some of the folks who display this foolishness here could be the same guys/babes that make your life misearable by the blunders they commit in your schools, streets, offices,in the bus or taxis with you etc.....

omenka:
@ Intrepid. I think nairaland to a large extent mirrors how some of us think in real life, the only difference is, given that it is a largely anonymous forum, most people find it easy flaunting their foolishness as though it were some sort of priceless medal of valour. They can't do so outside the virtual world because they would be ostracised even by their own families for being so dumb.

However, you might wanna revisit this line in your second paragraph: I think the coloured should be aptitude and not ineptitude. If you say someone lacks cognitive ineptitude, you are saying that person is very intelligent.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Nairaland Really Nigerian Minds? by intrepid(op): 7:13pm On Jul 12, 2015
Mr Man ,can you at least show some decorum for just one minute? This is exactly one of the issues on discussion and here you are displaying some uncivilized attitude on a faceless forum.Don’t forget, you can still be known.People here aren’t ghosts anyways. The world is a very small place, they say...
WombRaiders:

There are people that will always comment reasonable things

Some will always be funny

Some will always be boring

While the rest will be annoying

Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Nairaland Really Nigerian Minds? by intrepid(op): 7:04pm On Jul 12, 2015
Bro,i dont agree that social media caused much of it,why?Does social media cut off common sense or simple cognitive exercise?I believe an empty person outside would also portray same online. One cant give what he doesnt have...
PassingShot:
You're not far from the truth. Too many lazy, ignorant, semi-literate, irrational and bigoted youths here and offline.

It's what the social media has caused us.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Nairaland Really Nigerian Minds? by intrepid(op):
Yea.I have seen some really cerebral guys and ladies here too whose grasp of issues challenged me..but most times here, especially lately,i get so annoyed reading some posts.Sometimes i see some intelligent post or question by somebody who sincerely needed solutions, and the only responses to it would be so trashy that you d begin to wonder if the people typing those things were psychiatric patients......

i don’t know why its like that and i even thought i was the only one who noticed the ugly trend.I know many friends who said they had quit NL long ago because of this.
Horlufemi:
It's a really sad thing to note but be rest assured that there are really intelligent guys out there. Those that can make us proud.

Have you ever encountered some people here that would insult you for no reason? The ones I pity the most are the ones who are tribal minded and hate others with all their passion.

This is a scourge.

But I've met intelligent youth everywhere in Nigeria and once these ones are given the opportunity we would be proud of them.
Nairaland GeneralIs Nairaland Really Nigerian Minds? by intrepid(op):
Could Nairaland really mirror how some Nigerian youths reason?

Sometimes as I read through comments on posts here,I wonder a lot if the comments I read here really mirror how our youths currently reason in Nigeria. And sometimes,it vividly portrays mental laziness and total lack of cognitive aptitude.

Poor understanding of basic everyday events and problems we face daily as a country and total inability to profer any reasonable solution/suggestions.Simple current events in the country confuse them and can be seen from their useless comments on Nairaland. Some in an attempt to hide their ignorance, simply turn everything to joke, and one wonders what would happen should they get any public office to hold.

Its so pathetic and I want to believe that the folks here ,especially those involved are a minority, nay a minute dot in the population ;I don't really like to believe they represent the youth and the general reasoning.

And many claim to be graduates. They cannot read a simple post;they cannot make a simple intelligent comment especially on some reasonable posts, instead they fill everywhere with Smileys and unrelated sidetalks like schizophrenic patients.

However, when you hear that they are unemployable, they engage in cyber crime, marrying of grandmothers to get visa, arranging marriage with white ladies etc,one might begin to grab why its this way.

Check out the gross errors in simple spelling where many youths write English as it sounds in their native tongue-i don't want to give examples to avoid obvious offence(Didn't they go to school at all?) ,or some useless comments on some of the posts here and try to relate them with the profiles of the posters and you would just shake your head for them--- men and women alike.

What really has happened to some of our youths?

Are these the leaders of tomorrow?
