He started issuing orders about my purchase, infact the stocks were overbought. Some were bought twice grin grin

I have seen a way to harrass these people, just pull your Nairaland ID and everybody will behave.

I think I better start shedding weight there.

@Rhemagirl, it is only the price of the stock that is placed on technical suspension, trading can go on as the price is frozen. this will forstall any sharp practices that management will try while they are trying to consumate a merger, raise capital or any other program.

It is the opinion of market watchers that this week will be bullish, owing to the expected jump of UBA, which has been like a coiled spring, other factors include the results released and awaited, most of them good.

Positions should be maintained in good companies, competitors to the ones with nice results. A lift will affect those companies positively. UBA will tow FBN, UBN, Zenith. NBC will tow Beta glass, AG Leventis, even 7 up.

I think the fair price should be around N10.50. And Krussh, U KANT C MI!
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 10:31pm On Jan 14, 2008
UBA seems to be moving so sluggishly after that good result, it was expected that they will be doing a daily 5% since last week. The way thing are now, if there comes a bear run, the bank may lose some price. This market!

@Guk, some said its worth it, what if the NSE ended in the negative on a year, they must still give you the agreed 20%.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 9:47pm On Jan 14, 2008
@Guk, I was offered 20% on 5 million minimun by eurocomm securities, but I refused, my portfolio did more than 60% that year.

@easimoni, dont you think this is double taxation? Since the company has paid the same govt. Before the rest was declared profit after TAX?
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 9:38pm On Jan 14, 2008
Aktopgun is probably right about NGC losing marginally for a few days, but it will not lose too much because of its liquidity.

However it is a good buy for me, reason is that at least having a modest growt seems to me more sustainable than some of these companies at break neck speed. Kind of scary.

Managed portfolio is when you pay some mony to you brokers to be using to trade for you on their. Own free will.

A percentage return will be agreed beforehand, and they will pay to you at the end of the year.

They do it for high networth individuals (like pumping) just joking.

Please, can any one explain to me how AP can gain up to N28.01 today according to cashcraft? Initially I say a gain of 12.86 on the NSE website, but on getting to cashcraft the price shot up to N28.01 gain. Or is there another abracadabra cooking somewhere?

@ Easimoni, you mean 2.5 milla for the minimum? Them no get poor person for their village? Abeg I don tire to pursue them sef.

I believe the sweetness of most investment programs is when many ppl can participate, tends to strengthen capitalism, and foster a level playing field. As it is only the very rich can afford to tie that type of amount for long. Poor man don suffer!

@ Mr. risky, they are the total number of shares outstanding for oceanic bank. This means that anytime you want to buy the stock, it is from that quantity they will sell to you. Also if they make some profit, it will be divided by that number to get the per share earnings. Kajikwo?

The out of stock syndrome in some stocks is very visible now, especially in some stocks that are in technical suspension. Zenith, PHB, AIICO, etc are all unavailable for some time since I have been waiting to buy.

Fidelity bank closed still lower today at N11.17. This is an improvement on yesterday’s full loss, and an indication that the stock may be ready for a rebound. The only thing that will give it a big push is a good result which I know they will be packaging to deliver Q2.

This stock is good for a short time play in the coming weeks as it is selling on the floors now. Another thing that may work in its favor will be a bull run in the next week.
