@esco399, you are talking as if we were condemning his actions, no we are not. We are only tyring to advice the guy. My attitude is that of siddon watch, but let him be kind enough to tell us of the outcome of this adventure.

Risks are good, the bigger the better, and , the deadlier!

For the guys you think are taking small risks, their fall will be smaller, he who is on the ground, fears no gravity. We encourage him to take on the bull, for six months, so we can call the NSE, LAS VEGAS CASINO

@Gonziii, IBTC is not such a bad stock on its own, only thing is that it may get lower in price terms before it finally goes up.
Secondly, I never allow my broker to pressure me into buying anything, that decision is mine and mine only, I accept their recommendations, but that is for my overall approval.

@Aktopgun,

How you dey? How is Tobechukwu doing? Please which broker you dey use?
Ha! to tell you where he dey load him money? I dey fear that kin question ooo, rather ask him which brokers in his opinion are offering competent services.

Most good investors use a cocktail of brokerage houses, many brokers makes sense, quarreling, changing, reconciling, shifting some money to other brokers, thats the way to surviving this game.

Hope this helps.

@Wanajo,
How you dey?Is it adviceable to buy Intercont.Bank now(for 6-9 months)
Since, wanajo has not replied this one, let us presume he has gone to church, or to pray. His assistants can try to step into his biiig shoes! and answer for him.
Intercontinental is a consistent performer, a very ambitious bank with very good management. Buying it for the 6-9 months will make sense if you can confirm that they will be allowed to pay dividens and or bonus this February (as opposed to new banks closing date of December)

We better confirm what the true impact of banks uniform closure date will be in the short run or all of us will watch as our bank stocks lose serious value, it may bounce back in the Q3, in preparation for Q4 2008.

InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 9:21am On Jan 27, 2008
@ACL, who said the 250k is too small for any stock? It can very well buy you UBA or any other stock for that matter, since value has no concern with volume, stock prices should not frighten anyone. Look at the quality and fundamentals of the stock as well.

Now, Ikeja hotels will be above 7.00 by monday, going by feelers from the market. But you can still get Union homes, nobody is too sure of Afribank, but the PE ranks among the lowest in the banking sector. You cant go wrong with Wapic.

Happy investing.

@ krrush, even if the guy is a hidden guru or has double id, we are learning something from all these.

He is making us to dialogue on a different issue, risk tolerance. Adding more flavor.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 9:29pm On Jan 26, 2008
@wasky, why not tell the guy to select ten good stocks, spread in some sectors, with a fixed amount.

Like 4 mill each, then watch it, any of it that does 20% should be harvested for reinvestment, but na wao.

All this heavy schemeing and unnecessary headaches , I better do stock betting with my own money, no matter how little. Differnt strokes.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 3:20pm On Jan 26, 2008
@wasky-waja, what is the collateral your friend offered to the bank for them to give him that type of loan? cash, certificates, house?
I am only asking so I can know what the level of his loss will be 'if' the shit hits the fan.

I am interested, keep us posted, I was offered a similar deal by my brokers, cause they think i will make it, they watched my fast trades and decided to approach me for a termed loan.

I refused, but lets see if your friend will survive this.

He needs some fasting, many days.

Three days after swearing in, I will sack all NEPA staff, from top to bottom.
I will dismantle all installations from transformers, poles, transmitting stations etc, then i will start afresh to build a new power generation base that will be enduring, if the nation will suffer a full year blackout, everyone should bear with me-please!

If all I do still fails, i will sell the power sector to the highest international bidder, let them run the sector, even if they will cut our throats with costs, but let there be light first.

No meaningful developement will come to us without steady power. No poverty alleviation strategy will work except you empower the masses to work with power. Without power, all is dull and idle.

If I were the president, I will give us power, even if it is the only thing I achieve.

@all is union homes owned by union bank, cause I cant bear to see the same snail pace thinking we see at UBN.

Morover does anyone have their # of outstanding shares?
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by invisible2(m): 7:54pm On Jan 24, 2008
@grabdaloot, did you say union homes result wasnt good enough?

How else should a result look to make it good? I think the result was long awaited, so all things have been factored in. But expect late hanger to enter anytime soon. Will boost the price a bit.

invisible!:
Lest I forget, UACN property co gains of .94 yesterday indicates a slow down in appreciations, it seems to suggest a weakining of bids, traders will interpret this and start selling today.

The price may stagnate today of decrease except a strong news is in the air, like a bonus.

I have decided to drop from this one today, after doing 15% in less than one week, bought last thursday. The gain is too sweet for me allow to waste.
MY predictions were later confirmed as the stock lost about 70 kobo, but then my trade alert has shown that i have locked in the profit. which way next, make i inspect union hames as the gurus here advice.
