The sounds more like playing politics over the death of a student. I don't have anything against asking the state government to honor its commitment to the students, however, using the death of another person as a leverage is deplorable. |

Looks like a set up between him and EFCC to ensure he is not detained and kept with other criminals. He should also be given the Olisa Metuh and FFK treatment; after-all, 40Billion Naira is a huge money. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Truefederalism: Seriously!!! One fought for democracy while the other fought for secession. The likes of Soyinka and his NADECO crew are really the unsung heroes of the current democratic dispensation in Nigeria. These are men in the class of the heroes of independence who believe in the vision of governance by the people. 4 Likes |

Politics / Re: Amend Constitution So Vice-President Acts+Fresh Elections if President Is Unfit by irondome: 4:07am On Jun 18, 2016 |
KissCODE: Big difference. GEJ became president with existing constitution. If the proposed amendment is implemented, GEJ would only have been president for 3 months; and another costly election held. The proposed change is preposterous and would only further divide us across ethnic line. 11 Likes 1 Share |

shogotermies: You don't have to like Gays, but HATE is a strong word. I have spent the last 5 years of my life outside the country and I completely disliked being treated specially because of my skin color. However, this realization has greatly impacted my disposition to people from other race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age group, etc. I have learned to respect people's beliefs and preferences without condescension. 95 Likes 8 Shares |

TheGoodJoe: Life is way too short to be obsessed with changing people's opinion about you or your country. Some people just can't be helped. Trust me, it's an effort in futility. For instance, I tried so hard to impress at my last company in one of these developed economies; after several months of consistently value delivery, my friendly white boss said to me -- "you don't act like a black person". I just gave him the excuse me "stare". From personal experience, most racial folks are narrow-minded people who usually have not traversed beyond the width of their local territories. For instance, I commanded the utmost respect from my Indians colleagues in courses I enrolled-in outside of India. 2 Likes |

emperoarkay: Nice post. Come to me with these lines in areas where the government failed due to absolute ineptitude, would give you a thumbs up. However, hurling insults on the FG as a result of a software glitch on the first day of a program launch, is out of place. I have managed a number of apps development projects even in sensitive sector as banking. And quite often we have had to deploy fixes, patches, upgrade and enhancement to optimise the capabilities of developed applications. |

winningwinner: How old are you? Do you have hand's experience on software development or business process improvement? If you have cognitive experience in the corporate world, you would realise there is no perfect system anyway. It's is not out of place for few glitches to crop here and there. The developed economy didn't become developed/specialised overnight, however, they got to that stage via continuous process/system improvement. Cherish your little progress and consistently work to improve on that progress. 1 Like |

winningwinner: Obamacare site had glitches first few days of the launch; did that make the program a failure? As big as Microsoft is, they still do release version of the operating system; does that imply Microsoft do not know what they are doing? I rated it relevant, because, unlike the free 5000 naira promised, this program actually entail value creation. Literally, participants would be paid for "work done". 2 Likes |

chynie: The form is RCCG members' biz and there are lots of RCCG members on Nairaland. If you do not see any thing wrong here, I guess I may have to help you a little bit with this question; what category of blessing would the biblical widow (who gave her mite) fall under in the form? In the eye of Christ, she gave one of the best donations, however, in the eye of a parish pastor, she is not even fit for any blessing. Mull over that 4 Likes |

Exponental: The cost of living there is also very low. I usually love to pull over for a sumptuous pounded yam any time am driving through the state. Housing there is also cheap; not to talk of constant power supply. I guess what am just trying to say is that life is easier for a fellow without a regular 8am to 5pm job, in Osun than any other state in SW. 2 Likes |

hedonistic: 1. Stop saying the north has nothing to offer. Nigerians are still grasping with the scarcity of ordinary tomatoes, not to talk of other agricultural produce they bring on board. 2. A successful assassination of PMB would result in a full-scale civil war. The north would go on killing spree, the militant in SS would continue to mark their territory, Biafrans would capitalized on the opportunity to pull away, the central government along with SW would be pro-occupied with fighting a multi-facet war to quell violence in each of the other regions and keep the country together. How would GEJ had won by crook? In the north where the Aboki's followed INEC officials to collation point? or Southwest which was APC stronghold? With money? Apparently PDP squandered trillions of Naira. It was absolutely impossible for GEJ to win that election by any means, which explained why he had to postpone the election at a point. 1 Like |

obailala: There may be some iota of truth in the report. The truth is--if there was a successful attack against PMB, orchestrated by the ND militants, this country would definitely boil over the next 3-7 years. If possible that the US wasn't favourably disposed to the risk of another key African state thrown into crisis. They are still licking their wounds with Libya, Egypt is still shaky with the brotherhood lurking in the dark. My personal opinion though. 2 Likes |

Do you expect any sane government to fold their arms and watch as militants ravage what is left of its pipeline? Oh!!, you expect a government to submit to bunch of outlaws?
