molly14: By checking their various websites regularly. It's also helps if you joined a couple of Canadian express entry visa forums, especially their provincial nomination threads. In both cases, you would have to explore google. |

LaserFocus: Am not aware Australian PR visa 189 class requires any POF as far I can remember, the visa fee processing fee is only 3 times higher than the Canadian fee. Australian process is easier as long as your occupation is on the Skilled Occupation List, and pretty much faster. |

NothingLikeLove: This confirms that you are absolutely being honest. Whatever, you do, make sure it's your decision and not what every one around is pushing you to do, after all, no one knows your partner as much as you do. However, whenever you are being physically abused, I would strongly suggest you leave that home immediately. You have to be alive first, before you can be in a marriage. |

LaserFocus: What's your occupation and how many years of experience have you got? You may try Australian PR. Australia is very beautiful country I would personally recommend, if not better than Canada in some criteria like Salary scale, lower tax rate, weather and welfare system. |

NothingLikeLove: If your story is 100% true, you have to be careful with the next step you take. It's all about self preservation now, as your life may be in danger. Breaking up with an emotionally imbalanced person like that usually breed a level of violence, especially when he is financially dependent on you and is unable to father a child. Physically removing yourself from that environment may be key, either separation or divorce (which ever rocks your boat). It's better you enjoy your life in peace and good health, single, than live in hell under the guise of one yeye marriage. Finally, what ever you decide on doing, let it be your own decision, but personally, I would care about my life now than my marriage. 3 Likes |

c4eva: It's okay you have seen a successful precedent with using pension funds, but I would be very careful. IRCC requirements stated the funds must not be encumbered, i.e should be readily available when needed. With most pension schemes across the globe, holders are usually entitled to a percentage of the money; in most cases, in few months after resignation. So, technically, the money ain't readily available. Bottom line, it boils down to what you are comfortable with. On his ielts, it would be nice if he could up his score to 8777, depending on his score, he might actually need to start scouting for provincial nomination |

c4eva: He may need to re-appear for IELTS as getting great score is key. His pension funds is not totally unencumbered, as such, may not be appropriate as POF. Same with his post resignation benefits. He would have to start thinking of alternatives ahead of time. |

Omonjoe: It's your IELTS score. A score of 8777 (Lswr) would get you additional 50 points for transferable skill. By the way, why do you want to wait till you are 32. Get your Masters evaluated and aim for a good IELTS score, and possible look for a provincial nomination since you are already in Canada. Electrical Engineering should be in demand for most provinces. The older you grow , the more difficult it gets with Canadian PR visa |

LaserFocus: Your profile may be ineligible for lots of reasons, some are listed here 1. FSWP 67/100 requirements 2. The figure keyed into the funds requirement should be above the threshold specified by IRCC for your family size 3. Ielts score should above the minimum requirement and other reasons 1 Like |

bubsykay: It wouldn't hurt to follow photo specifications in the PPR to avoid unnecessary complications. A number of those who didn't strictly follow the photo specifications had some delay with their PR cards. They got a new photo request from IRCC, as the copies they submitted were deemed unsuitable. Congrats on your PPR |

lyzbethokere: Anyone can actually view your profile in private mode; quite common with recruiters. Have been you applying for opportunities in Canada? You shouldn't worry much about your current experience as long as your migration points score doesn't fall before 67, when your other 2 jobs are discarded. You should be okay as long as the job description on your ref letter closely match your NOC, and the ref letter was written in the right format. And if they are doubt, they would contact you to provide other supporting documents (pay slips, etc). |

yinyinola: No you don't. The 23 point being referred to is the 67/100 point system of the old FSWP. To be eligible for express entry, applicants are expected to have met this requirement (score at least 67/100). Your score is what the CRS tools says http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp If you received an ITA with your MSc and you claimed points for your experience as a doctor (against a general practitioner NOC), your application would most certainly be rejected. It's strongly recommended you decline the ITA in this case Do you have a non-doctor experience in any other skilled based occupation? if yes, you may be able to use that as your preferred NOC. In this case, using your Masters degree would suffice. |

dupyshoo: Not for all occupations. Some occupations have specific qualifying/minimum requirements; am pretty sure medical profession is on that list. In her own situation, if she has a minimum of 1 year (or preferrably 1-3 years) experience in another non-regulated occupation, then she could use that experience along side with her MSc without using her MBBS at all. However, if all the skilled experience she has got was as a doctor; then she would have to get her MBBS assessed. |

Why am I not surprised? When you wasted 5 months to form your cabinet, having had a months between your election victory and swearing in. Invariably, budget planning and passage got delayed unnecessarily. The annoying thing is that-- there might likely be a repeat of the same budget delay next year and the years after; no sense of planning and urgency. So much was said about zero-based budgeting last year, unfortunately, what we got was a padded budget. If PMB is serious about zero-based budgeting, you would start planning for next year now. 6 Likes 1 Share |

ireneony: Invention? Do you have the enabling environment for invention in your country? There is a concept called 2nd mover's competitive advantage in business strategy. Because invention and innovation involve lots of time and money in research, it's now becoming more attractive to borrow ideas from those around you, adapt or tweak to suit your business strategy and run with it. Similarly, I see nothing wrong in doing copy cat, as long as we are not far behind the western world while the government in charge creates the enabling environment for outright innovation. Ideally, I expect the ministry of science and technology collaborate with this dude and see how his works can benefit the general society. The same thing applies to the dude working on building a power generator that runs on waste and water. Unfortunately, all what that ministry does is to --attend foreign conferences here and there without fruition, get paid salaries, and nothing. 5 Likes |

dresco: Visit Engineer Australia site for a comprehensive guide; and also google "Career Episode for Chemical Engineer" for a format. It's going to be very difficult to write 3 different career episodes without work experience. How about your NYSC or 6-9months Internship? You may duel split your final projects into 2 (practical and the report writing) and try conjure a detailed career episode from each of them. |

40manlappy: I am not conversant with ICAS or IQAS, as I used WES for my ECA. However, I would like to believe they follow the same framework. With WES, you would not be required to include the "already verified degree". I reckon there would be a field/menu to key-in the "reference number" of your previous ECA. They would most likely update/upgrade your ECA report to include your MBA. One thing though, I was told by WES that I would not be able to use the old ECA while they process the new one (if I had opted to update my ECA to include both of my degrees). Not sure if that would apply to your situation, in this case, you may not be able use the old ECA as soon as you submit a request/application for an ECA upgrade. Lastly, you don't need your ND in any case. Your MBA fetches you your highest point possible. 1 Like |

temitope06: In my own case they did. Not sure if that's still their baseline practice at the moment. If you are comfortable evaluating only your Msc, I opine you can contact them to ignore your Bsc. When I called them on why my Bsc was omitted, they said; 1. My points would not be impacted in any way; 2. Omitting my Bsc enabled them to process my application in 5 days. However, if I wanted my Bsc included, they would withdraw/invalidate the initial report and re-evaluate both degrees, which could take fore-ever (depending on how fast my Naija uni revert on their correspondence) 1 Like 1 Share |

tundechange: It could mean WES has all what they need evaluate your application. In own case, they ignore the delay by my Naija university and went ahead to evaluate my foreign master's degree. When I called on the phone, they confirmed they did that because CRS points are awarded according to the highest degree obtained. However, the dynamics changes with " 2 or more degrees" category, however, one can assume that WES either has what it needs to evaluate your degrees as equivalent to "2 or more degrees) or they have decided your equivalence would be "Bachelor". In the case of the latter, your OND becomes insignificant to your overall equivalence, as my bachelor was. 1 Like |

keji00: Average of 6 months prior to your final visa application (post ITA). Ideally, the money should be in your account till you complete your landing procedure because you would also be expected to show the POF at the port of entry. |
