The political mentor of Kaduna state and Nigeria at large.

May 22,2020

On our behalf, we summit our support to the "people democratic party" (PDP) Kaduna state and the political mentor in the person of Sen Ahmed Mohammed makarfi for their good decision in suspending Sen Uthman Hunkuyi and other six people from the party for violating the conduct and does and dont of the party.

In the other hand these people were found accusing Sen Ahmed Mohammed makarfi, Rt Hon Isah Ashiru Kudan and the kaduna people democratic party (PDP) chairman Felix Hassan Hyat saying that they embezzle funds meant for PDP presidential campaign, we want to use this medium to tell the people of kaduna state and Nigeria at large that this is nothing but a false claim, child play and a deformation of character.

on a comparative analysis in the whole northern Nigeria there is no any state that got the number of vote casted in favor of PDP than Kaduna state , with this breakdown this is to show that this is a pure false allegation and a trash that should be discarded.

on this regard even the presidential candidate at that time WAZIRIN ADAMAWA Alh Atiku Abubakar thanks Sen Ahmed Mohammed makarfi and kaduna state people democratic party chairman Hon Felix Hassan Hyat for their job weldon in the state.

Further more we want to use this medium to call the attention of the unscrupulous element who were send by the ruling party (APC) to disrespect the leaders of our party that they should stop, other wise we will take a drastic action against them by revealing the negative secrate of their APC party that was stored by us for a raining days like this.

Desperate Politicians Seeking To Destroy Kaduna PDP-Isah Rabiu

19/05/2020

I am urging the faithful Kaduna PDP members to, with due respect, disregard the smear campaign or any negative articles against our great party, the PDP.

The real party leaders in the state are only bringing the good efforts of the PDP party to great repute and saving it from desperate politicians who are trying by all means to destroy or to bring confusion within the party.

Some people are trying hard, by all means to destroy the political respect of the party due to their desperation

I urge the real PDP members within Kaduna state not to consider the image-tarnishing campaign against the PDP leaders in the state.

The smear campaign by desperate politicians in the state was targeted at destroying the togetherness of the great PDP party.

I write on behalf of first class communicator from Kaduna state, who have over the years, taken active participation and interest in the state party.

“As media practitioners of note and distinction, we frown and take exceptions to the myraid of lies and deliberate falsehood disseminated in some sections of the camp by some PDP leaders in the Kaduna".

“This is a deliberate and organised campaign against the distinguished members and stakeholders of the Kaduna state PDP, anchored by some disgruntled elements, using faceless groups masquerading and individuals as party-faithful to the party,”

The attempt to bring the reputation of the party to great disrepute was a careful plan to bring down the brilliant contribution of people in the PDP.

Therefore, i urged loyal PDP members to “disregard the callous pranks of desperate politicians in the state’’.

I was compelled to set the records straight in the face of slander, and smear campaign that was targeted at only bringing the party down.

MAKARFI pulled back PDP from the ABYSS, at a time, an APC agent, MODU SHERIF, was planted to decimate the party.

those throwing all sort's of snippets at the EX GOVERNOR today, where were they in those trying time's of the party ?

the principal character, is known to have decamped from the PDP, thrice, while, MAKARFI, never for once dumped the party.

so, who is more PDP, than MAKARFI in Kaduna state, the APC mole', who is known to be a serial merchant and or his foot soldier's who are neither even, member's of the party, as compared to MAKARFI, who has always been their for the party, come rain, come sunshine?

if the PDP had been dead, as they did wished it in the past and even now, is it over it's Caracas's, that they would have been fighting for control now or the beautiful bride, that is waxing stronger by the day, thanks so much to leader's like MAKARFI. yet, a vulvuzela, would go on radio and blast to the fullness, all sort of bunkum on the SENATOR,
describing him as the albatross of the party in Kaduna state and Nigeria,in general.

the truth of the matter is that a clear historical perspective of their principal, could only but reveal, that, indeed, he has been both an arch enemy and major beneficiary of opportunities, that came his way, vide the party.

it is notable to state that where ever, he finds himself in a political party, peace, automatically, evades, the party.

so, what Doe's he want to be remembered for, as a legacy? the firmaments of history, is filled with tale's of how, leader's whose ambition is driven by selfishness, rather than, the verve to serve, have ended.

we must all acknowledge, that power and dominion, all belong to the almighty,he dispenses it, as he willet. if, my friend, would solemnly pontificate over this, he would realize,
that all is vanity, because, what ever, has been destined, would surely, come, one's way,no matter what, cool temper.

APC IS AN EXPIRED DRUGS IN KADUNA STATE--Isah Rabi'u

”APC is an expired drug. Kaduna citizens now know what it means to vote againts PDP”.

I have said time and again I am a die heart member of the PDP. I am saying it again.I will never be a member of demonic APC political party.

We have now had five years of APC rule in Kaduna state. We have now seen what APC change actually entails. We are no longer under any illusions. Even though the APC has spent the last few years re-litigating what was wrong with the PDP, it should now be clear that the PDP is far better than the APC; at least 50 times better.

In 5 years in power, there is no single original idea of note that has emanated from the APC. What it has been doing is to claim PDP ideas as its own. APC claims credit to so many works in Kaduna state when in fact it is of PDP inspiration.

APC claims credit for the rehabilitation of roads in Kaduna, but the truth is that this is essentially a PDP ideas.

If we are now celebrating the end of polio in Kaduna, it has nothing to do with the APC and everything to do with the PDP. If we are indeed well on our way to self-sufficiency in farming production, it is because of the activities of the PDP, and not because of the inactivity of APC. In 5 years, APC has added precious little to PDP achievements in the state. On the contrary, it has degraded many milestones.

Indeed, everything under this APC government has gone from bad to worse. The economy is worse. The cost of living is worse. The security situation is worse. The unity of Kaduna citizens is worse. The corruption index is worse. The NEPA situation is worse. The APC house of assembly in lugard hall are worse. The liberty of Kaduna citizens is worse. The rule of law is worse. The political climate is toxic.

We are not just saddled with an incompetent government. We are saddled with one that merely watches while we are being murdered in our homes, farms, mosques and churches. We are saddled with a government that tells us the choice we have is either to lose our land to carpetbaggers or lose our lives. We are saddled with a government that defines itself as a APC, instead of a state for all; with all its security architecture in the hands of APC.

In 16 years in power, the PDP not only cleared debt's but brought unity to the masses, freedom of movement and speech.

The APC is the party that boasts of integrity but lacks integrity. This ensures it embarrasses itself with one scandal after the other.

the APC fails to act against corruption while nevertheless fooling itself that it is a champion of anti-corruption.

Unlike the proverbial charity, APC’s anti-corruption does not begin at home in the APC. The party encourages and molly-cuddles the corrupt. Indeed, it has an open-door policy for the corrupt. Once you are in APC or you decamp to APC, you are automatically whitewashed from corruption allegations.

Whatever anyone may think or say about the PDP, it is a national party. As a matter of fact, it remains the only national party in Kaduna and Nigeria to date in this republic. Its membership and strength stretch from North to South and from East to West in Kaduna.

Not so the APC. The APC is a sectarian party. It is an agglomeration of regional parties that merged together for the sake of capturing the governorship. Once this happened, their sectarianism came back to the fore.

It also means herdsmen from the state can continue to kill innocent farmers all over the 23 LG while government sees no evil and hears no evil.

Champions of hypocrisy

Nevertheless, there are certain areas where there is no doubt the APC is ten times better than the PDP. One of these areas is in hypocrisy. The APC is the undisputed champion of hypocrisy. It contradicts its own vaunted values repeatedly without batting an eyelid. In the area of hypocrisy, the PDP is certainly no match for the APC.

“For APC to advise to media not to yield their platform to spread fake news is like the devil advocating to his subject not to tell lies.”

It is not surprising, therefore, that quite a number of those who left the PDP for the APC 5 years ago have become so disgusted with the APC that, like prodigal sons, they will return to the PDP.

Many who waxed lyrical about the virtues of the APC 6 years ago now hate the APC.

Nevertheless, we cannot insist APC did not bring change. It brought change but it was change that pauperized Kaduna. APC brought change from peace to restiveness; it brought change from gainful employment to job insecurity and massively unemployment; it brought change from national unity to sectarianism; it brought change from good health to medical check-ups; it brought change from life to death by herdsmen.

APC brought change from hope to despair; it brought change from light to darkness. Now that is change we can certainly do without.

APC is an expired drug. Kaduna now know what it means to vote against PDP.

PoliticsHow The Apc Administration In Kaduna State Has Failed The People by isahrabson(op): 6:22pm On May 15, 2020
HOW THE APC ADMINISTRATION IN KADUNA STATE HAS FAILED THE PEOPLE

---By Dogara Caesar

For an administration that was elected on the promise of change in Kaduna state, yet has brought nothing but hardship and pain to the people is a government that has failed the trust of the people... To begin stating areas of disaster in governance here in Kaduna will be an endless task. And for the fact that the APC administration in the last five years is a total failure cannot be over staged.

For a government that is not capable of protecting its own citizens from well known, identifiable terrorists and militia men is a government that has completely lost it. Hence, what is the primary purpose of governmenthuh

To deal with this issue critically is to be unbiased and to maintain decorum –and yes, the government in Kaduna has failed to improve from the progress made by past administrations in so many areas. It is very easy to compare and contrast, also to identify great achievements of the previous PDP administrations particularly in areas of security.

Only in the past five years, the good people of Kaduna state have witnessed the highest point of consistent and unending security challenges… whereas thousands have been killed by militia groups probably encouraged by the Elrufai administration –yes, it’s likely that our government may be supporting terrorists (unknowingly) with tax payer’s money…, the point is government has given militia men billions in the past and may be still do (funding terrorism ?) -i hope that this notion isnt right anyway.

Never has any past administration in kaduna or anywhere else became so careless to the point of publicly stating that “government is paying some Fulani to stop killing” as recorded by Channels TV. These are probably not citizens and even if they are, social justice demands that he who kills should be killed and not celebrated with gifts.

According to Governor Nasir Ahmed Elrufai, on the 3rd day of December 2016, “My administration has paid Fulani to stop the killings in Southern Kaduna”. –with this, it is clear that this administration has no intention whatsoever to move the state forward in terms of peaceful coexistence because not only has the governor failed in adhering to the primary task of his office which is to protect the lives and properties of citizens, he has also failed to protect and preserve the traditional institution that’s been practiced for centuries past. It is even more despicable that the governor has become a total tyrant in a democracy, from arresting journalists to oppressing his critics. In today’s Kaduna, whoever talks ill of the administration gets crushed.

It has never been this bad to the point that the future of an entire state is threatened by an administration that have sworn to keep kaduna under the yoke of financial crediors. The APC administration have succeeded in taking a huge loan –thereby, putting the burden on the yet unborn. Although many others may have different views with regards the loan, they may also put it to the world that these funds are directed to good use such as ‘infrastructure’; and then, core APC members would jump to add up “construction of roads” in Kaduna main town and more. -I only hope that they understand to the fact that putting together the entire roads constructed by this administration since 2015 is nowhere close to some 50km. A painful truth!

The aim here is not just to criticise but to try as much as possible to mount pressure on those that the people have given the mandate to protect them and provide every essentials. This is also to remind the Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Inc. that there is never a meaningful progress without peaceful coexistence, Social Justice and rule of law. Therefore, it is advisable to return to the ideals of governance -Moreso, he can learn and take notes from the way and manner the PDP adminstration of Ahmed Makarfi governed by putting Security, peace and unity first. Failure of this administration to learn the good from his predecessors could see them learning the hard way. Remember; there is always a limit to human endurance towards the attitude of governance.

PoliticsOf Election Funds, Habitual Rable-rausers And Nomadic Politicians by isahrabson(op): 4:29pm On May 15, 2020
OF ELECTION FUNDS, HABITUAL RABLE-RAUSERS AND NOMADIC POLITICIANS.
By Ishaq Alhassan Qauranmata.

Recently, the social media became awash with allegations of mishandling of funds given to the Kaduna State PDP by the natio nal headquarters of the Party for the 2019 elections.
Ordinarily, one wouldn't bother to honour such posts with a rejoinder for a number of reasons.

1- the write-ups, strident as they are (obviously to draw attention), they are either unsigned or signed by ficticious names not known to any PDP members.
2- if the writers were concerned about accountability or had evidence of breach, they would not only have spoken immediately after the elections, but would also have channelled their observations to the party, the only entity with the legal mandate to deal with breach, if any could be established.
3 - unfortunately, the timing as well as procedure adopted clearly show that the intent is to drag in the mud hard earned reputations just to derive political benefits.
4 - finally, the issue of election logistics is a legal booty trap that no party discusses in the public domain. And since this fact is well known to EVERYONE, it is obvious that ANYONE coming to the public domain to ALLEGE that our presidential candidate (not even the Party) had doled out sum humongous amount to a state and demanding such to be discussed on social media, is clearly NOT a PDP member but an APC mole trying to manufacture "evidence" against the PDP!

WHY RESPOND NOW?
When the masquerades behind the plot realised that discerning party members are not commenting as they expected, they moved to the NEXT-LEVEL, like the APC moles they are!
They began to do the "commenting" insisting that the accused must talk and clear themselves! So the burden of proof, in their wharfed thinking, has shifted from the accuser to the accused!
Unfortunately for them, the strident "commentators" who are well-known hunting dogs and foot soldiers of a permanent gubernorship merchant exposed the masquerade!
It's nothing new. It's a game that has been played times without number by the same slavemaster.
Create crisis, raise tension, agitate EVERYONE! Party leadership trying to build consensus and unity, ambitious candidates seeking a stable platform to contest and the overburdened citizens hoping for a formidable party to rescue them from tyranny!
When he succeeds in agitating every mind, it is the people themselves who begin to CALL on the national headquarters of the Party to set up reconciliation panels.
Once this is done, he would have succeeded on two fronts.
1 - in the name of "reconciliation" he gets through the back door what he can never get in a free and fair contest. That is why his antics have remained consistent whether during party congresses or primary elections. He is always making allegations, sponsoring accusations, organising contestants and pushing some of them to speak "on behalf of the forum" while he pulls the strings from behind the scene.
2 - more importantly, he scores a point by further making the national headquarters of the Party to believe that he is the man to beat in Kaduna.
It was the same trick he pulled on Senator Bukola Saraki who helped him to eventually be saddled with delivering Zone one. He was given all the logistics for Zone one and he not only failed woefully to deliver in the presidential polls but couldn't even deliver his Senate seat!
YET NO ONE IS ASKING WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FUNDS FOR ZONE ONE. WHY WERE STAKEHOLDERS IN THE 8 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS KEPT IN THE DARK OF ALL ARRANGEMENTS (if any). WHY WERE AGENTS FEEDING/TRANSPORT ALLOWANCES NOT PAID IN MOST POLLING STATIONS. OR WHY WERE THERE NO SITUATION-ROOMS ANYWHERE DESPITE PROVISIONS FOR SAME?
But this are for another day!

ON THE ELECTION LOGISTICS/FUNDS

As noted earlier, the issue of election logistics is an area that political parties must tread with caution, especially opposition parties.
Moreover, these are funds released by the party to facilitate monitoring of election processes. If the Party whose funds are at issue here is satisfied, whoever has issues must address the Party.
Suffice it to say, however that:

1. The said Funds were given to the campaign Committee Chairman who was Gubernatorial candidate which was a nationwide policy.
Surely ANYONE WHO CLAIMS that a Gubernatorial candidate can either connive to fritter election funds or allow SOMEONE do so while he watches needs to be taken to BARNAWA?

2. Even though kaduna State did not receive the highest allocation of funds we delivered highest votes in the Country. As a matter of fact kaduna delivered two times the votes of those that received double the amount we received. Does this mean that all the States in the Federation diverted the funds they collected?
3. All these negative media campaigns promoted by Senator Sule Hunkuyi are part of his desperate attempt to take control of the Party or rupture it before leaving, AS USUAL!
People should remember that Sule Hunkuyi has left this Party three times and is currently planing on returning to the APC or going to PRP.
4. Finally, if our Presidential candidate or the National campaign committee had any issues with the funds released to the State Campaign Committee taking note of the previous briefs given them and performance of the State they would have taken it up, not only in kaduna State but in all the States of the federation.
We genuine members of the PDP must be extra vigilant and avoid those among us, for now, whose intentions are habitually making deals and jumping ship!
For the few recruited into this negative campaign you are advised to save from the little stipends you received because you will not be able to see or talk with the slavemaster when his attempt to hijack the Party is permanently buried.
The fact that both Col. Gora and Engr James Bature have been exposed as APC moles should be food for thought to all genuine PDP members.

PRESS RELEASE

28/4/2020

APPROVAL OF NEW WARD EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND RECONSTITUTION OF ALL CURRENT EXCO MEMBERS INTO A CARE TAKER COMMITTEE AT ALL LEVELS IN KADUNA STATE.

On Thursday, 27th February, 2020, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party approved time table and guidelines for staggered Congresses in 26 States of the Federation, including Kaduna State in batch 2.

Wards, Local Governments and State congresses were slated for 14/3/2020, 28/3/2020 and 11/4/2020 respectively.

The Wards congresses were held successfully on the 14/3/2020 under the supervision of the National Electoral Committee appointed and posted to the State under the Chairmanship of H.E Governor Fintiri of Adamawa State.

The NWC, sensing the likely hood of a nation lockdown due to the escalating spread of the Covid-19 virus, rescheduled the Local Govt and State congresses backwards for 21/3/2020 and 24/3/2020 respectively.

Unfortunately, on the 20/3/2020 the Kaduna State Govt imposed an indefinite 24hr curfew all over the State, thus putting a halt to the remaining congresses.

As the 4 year tenure of the current Excos draws to an end on 30/4/2020, 5/5/2020 and 10/5/2020 for Wards, Local Governments and State respectively, the NWC by its letter of 24/4/2020 addressed to the State Party, has approved the following :-

(i). The Ward Congresses and the results generated in the 255 Wards of the State

(ii) The Inuaguration of the newly elected Ward Officials on the expiration of the tenure of the current officials on 30/4/2020 and after the discharge of the Court Restraining Order currently in force.

( iii) The Reconstitution of the current Ward Excos in the 255 Wards into Care Taker Committees effective 30/4/2020 pending the discharge of the Court Restraining Order.

( iv) The Reconstitution of the Local Government Excos into Care Taker Committees effective 5/5/2020

( v) The Reconstitution of the State Exco into Care Taker Committee effective 10/5/2020.

(vi)Local Government and State CTC will remain in office until congresses are held but not beyond three (3) months.

The leaderships of the Party at all levels remain accessible to all its members and call for Support and Cooperation to uplift the Party to greater heights.

Party faithfuls are reminded to note that Consultations and Round Table discussions are the Hallmarks of successful Politiking.

The Party remains committed to these ideals and appeals to all its members to come on board for the growth, progress and success of the Party.

PoliticsPDP Demands Governor Elrufai To Come Clean On The 30 Days Lockdown by isahrabson(op): 5:22pm On Apr 27, 2020
The PDP demands Governor Elrufai to come clean on the 30 Days Lockdown...

27/4/2020

The Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Kaduna State Chapter, has demanded the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Elrufai, on the extension of 30 days lockdown order and the lack of updating of the citizens on the level of responsiveness and preparedness of the State Government on the Covid-19 pandemic across the State.

Following the Statement issued by the State Government on Sunday,26th March,2020, by Muyiwa Adekeye, Media Adviser to the Governor, the party observed that there are grey areas on the level of responsiveness and preparedness of the State Government on the Coronavirus Pandemic campaign.

The PDP also noticed that the only concern of the State Government is locking down of the State against human traffic and generating revenue from the fines of the would-be prosecuted law breakers, without commiserate efforts in the establishment of test centres and testing of citizens.

From the long epistles the government issued out yesterday, they failed to address issues relating to how far they have gone in providing tests centres, methods they are using to confirm new cases and what they intend to do while the quarantine order lasts in the Covid-19 campaign.0

Locking down the State is only a means to an end but not an end itself;it's just one step and is not enough to curb the spread of the dreaded disease or fight it !

The people needs assurances on what the State Government is doing thus far.

By now, we had expected that ,with all the media innuendos, a door-to-door testing of residents or other means of getting results to identify positive or asymptomatic cases would have been put in place.

Our Party therefore, urges the State Government to, as a matter of urgency, make delibrate efforts in the provision of more testing centres other than the centres provided by the Federal Government and the one donated by a private individual, across the 23 Local Governments, or at least, the 3 Senatorial Districts of the State and also provide Personal Protective Equipments(PPEs) to security agents manning our roads.

Fumigation of Market Places,Motorparks,Hospitals,Communities and Streets should also be considered in the efforts put in place to curb the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic

Apparently, the State Government has no single Covid-19 test centre in any part of the State, unlike Ogun and other States that has Drive-Through Testing Centres.

Testing and more testing remains a major panacea in the fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Furthermore, we condemned the slashing of 25% of public servants salaries. We consider it as a Greek gift. Only recently, Governor Elrufai claimed to have increased their salaries, how can he turn around and removed 25 per cent without their consent ?

Finally, the claims made by the State Government about the palliatives to 59 community clusters in 9 Local Government Areas, we observed that the sharing method was abysmal and there were pockets of complains across board of diversion of the items that were meant for the down trodden.

The PDP advises that, in its second phase of the government's sharing of the palliaves across the 23 Local Government Areas, our party and the general public wish to know the method that would be used, how much would be spent and where the locations of the sharing of the items going to take place, so as to curtail a repeat of what happened during the first phase of the exercise and we shall hold you accountable in the near future.

The PDP condemns the incessant killings across Kaduna State

26/4/2020

The Peoples Pemocratic Party,PDP, Kaduna State Chapter, has condemned the spate of attacks and incessant killings across the State.

The killings has become a reoccurring decimal, where people are maimed, killed and their houses and food burnt down, even with the total lockdown across the State, where the government has failed to secure and protect its citizens.

The party called on the attackers to embrace peace and work towards peaceful coexistence, especially now that the Coronavirus Disease has ravaged our existence, as humans, the world over.

Terrorists, kidnappers and bandits have taken over our dear State, and this is affecting economic and agricultural growth. Farmers cannot go to their farms and come back home safe, market men and women, businesses are closing down due to the activities of these rampaging criminals.

There cannot be any reasonable economic growth where there is no stable security

We urge the security agencies to brace up to their responsibility of protecting lives and property of the citizens and also defending the territorial frontiers of our Nation.

Our Party therefore, demands that the State Government should wake up to their primary constitutional requirement of coordinating the the security agencies in the protection of lives and property.

Killings have been going on unabated in Chikun,Igabi,Kauru,Kaura,Giwa,Birnin Gwari,Kudan,Soba,Kajuru,Sanga and Lere, even with the total lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic.

The major hotspots of the killings are Kajuru,Birnin Gwari,Giwa, Sanga,Kaura and Kachia Local Governments.

We also want to use this opportunity to call on the State Governor,Nasir Elrufai and the APC government to live up to promise to never give up on the citizens as an agenda.

Our major concern as a party, is the security of lives property and welfare of our citizens

Kaduna High Court stops PDP LG and state congress

Following the refusal of the National Working Committee of the PDP to attend to the earlier complaint by Party members in respect of the self-help method adopted by the Kaduna State Executive Committee of the PDP in a bid to return by all means,.

which includes the unlawful removal of the Party Membership Register from the 255 Ward Offices to the State Secretariat and withheld same for a period of about six months and only returned to the Wards in a period of less than seven days to the 14th March, 2020 Ward Congress in contravention of the Nomination Procedure enshrined in the PDP Constitution and Guidelines for the 2020 Congresses,

thereby skimmed out and deprived names of the potential members due to be entered into the registers and to be closed in thirty days to the election to exercise their voting right, which renders the Ward Congress as an exercise characterized with deliberate breach of nomination procedures, gross irregularities, lack of transparency and imposition;

subsequently the aggrieved members have approached the High Court of Kaduna State for redress and the Court has today 20th March, 2020 issued Order of Injunction restraining the PDP and Kaduna State Executive Committee from conducting the scheduled LGA and State Congresses, pending the determination of their suit.

PoliticsSenator Makarfi: Always On The Side Of Caution by isahrabson(op): 6:55pm On Mar 17, 2020
SENATOR MAKARFI: ALWAYS ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION

Either as the Assistant General Manager of the defunct Universal Bank or as the Finance Commissioner of Kaduna State or as the Director of Finance and Administration of the proscribed Abacha Foundation for Peace and Unity or as the Executive Governor of Kaduna State or as the Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or as the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Alhaji (Dr) Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi sustained a kind of style that became a subject of study for a lot of people.

As a person who is not given to loquaciousness and verbosity but whose disposition is characterised by calmness and meticulousness, the former governor is always identified more by his actions than by his words.

The manner in which he handled each of his past assignments made fair-minded and patriotic assessors to appreciate his approach to varied challenges.

In every of the places and positions he found himself, Makarfi behaved in a typical manner of a standard-setter whose efforts were therefore all geared towards substantial value addition.

He got it right almost everywhere and all the times because he applied CAUTION in his study of the situations/circumstances, analysis of the issues/challenges, formulation of policies/strategies, implementation of recommendations/remedies and the selection of team members; those with whom he worked.

It was precisely because he was-and still is-so cautious that he was able to create a better version of Kaduna State in which communal peace replaced the ethnic and sectarian crises that hitherto characterised the inter-relationships amongst the various groups in the State.

He deployed utmost caution in the design and operation of the machinery of governance as a result of which all-inclusiveness which allowed for effective engagement of all stakeholders in policy-formulation and implementation became the most apparent feature of the State Administration.

The former Governor was aware that Kaduna State, by virtue of its endowments-history, size, location, human and natural resources-deserved credible leadership which he readily supplied in large quantity thereby enabling it to consolidate on its position as the leader of all the other States in the North. During his reign, the State was a model to which most of the other ones looked up in terms of the adoption of strategic measures for the attainment of the desired growth.

It is on account of all those facts about Makarfi’s tenure in Kaduna State and to which a lot of reference is continuously being made by development experts that the man is always appropriately rated as a politician whose resolve to make a positive difference is total. Up till now, 13 years after he left office, his governance style is being described as the best that suited the political configuration of the State.

Even as the Chairman of the Committee on Finance of the 6th and 7th Senate, Makarfi made tremendous impact on the functions of the entire National Assembly.

His cautious handling of the work of the committe turned out to be a significant contribution to the processes of budgetting, monitoring of spending and all activities of the federal legislature and, by extension, the government of the country.

The decision to suddenly bestow on him the chairmanship of the National Care-taker Committee of the PDP at a time it was speedily being crippled by crisis was a clear recognition of his integrity and capability.

Except of course those whose bid was to take the party out of existence after it was taken out of power, all the well-meaning members who rightly saw him as a rescuer not only celebrated his emergence as the Chairman but also played crucial roles in the eventual salvation of the party.

All these details about Makarfi are enough to show that he demonstrated rare qualities which resulted in his rise as a politician and administrator who presently occupies an unrivalled position in the political landscape of the country. He, in fact, has such antecedents that have made him an unquantifiable factor in all the on-going political calculations all of which relate to future contest for power.

A lot of Nigerians have already concluded that the country, having missed opportunities for attainment of genuine unity and maximum security which could have guaranteed meaningful development because politicians at critical levels of governance have thrown caution to the dogs, stands to benefit from the experience of a leader who shows sensitivity to issues and situations as much as he respects the sensibilities of all others.

It is because he is always on the side of caution that he achieves a lot and misses just a few.

PoliticsThe Tombstone To Be Erected After Bulldozers Are Done With Kasuwan Barci by isahrabson(op): 10:26pm On Mar 08, 2020
THE TOMBSTONE TO BE ERECTED AFTER BULLDOZERS ARE DONE WITH KASUWAN BARCI

A tombstone is usually erected where a loved one is entombed or buried if you will. The culture of erecting tombstones may not be universal as some cultures or religions are not very keen about it.

The stone carries information that include when the individual interned in there to include Name, Date of Birth, When the death occurred and perhaps more. The information is for the living not the departed for they have gone to rest.

Kasuwan Barci or simply KB Stores as many prefer to call it by my personal assessment is the largest market in Kaduna and environs where mostly clothing and other textile wares ( new, used or fairly used) including footware are sold at affordable and competitive prices.

I frequent Kasuwan Barci and I have made many friends from amongst the treaders. For a truth, I was there 3 days earlier to pick up some white shoes, white shorts and white T shirts my daughter will be taking with her for the NYSC camping.

While at the market, my good friend was lamenting over a threat by the dictatorship in Kaduna to demolish Kasuwan Barci market. I told him that such a threat is a huge joke.

I am aware that there is an ongoing litigation between the traders in Kasuwan Barci and the dictatorship but am not too sure if the proceedings have been concluded on terns favourable to the dictatorship.

Just yesterday, Social Media carried the information giving the traders in Kasuwan Barci 3 days notice to move out their wares before the bulldozers move in.

My thoughts quickly flashed back to my friend who had earlier lamented the fate likely to befell Kasuwan Barci.

Kasuwan Barci is situated in a part of Tudun Wada a suburb of Kaduna.

History has it that Tudun Wada is the oldest organized settlement in Kaduna. The market occupies a large area and is said to accommodate over 30,000 traders. There has been substantial investment in and around the market.

It was during the dictatorship's first term that the population in Kaduna came to their senses over the fact that they gave the votes to an inhumane and reckless character to who they now attach the sobriquet '' Mai Rusau ''.

This individual as governor started demolishing first, homes and properties belonging to his political opponents without respect to restraining orders from the courts.

The rumoured demolition of Gbagi Villa, Nissi Village are hanging thick in the air for sometime now and the residents have since been living in apprehension not sure what their fate would be. It should be noted that the brazenness of the dictatorship in Kaduna is most unparalleled.

If governance is meant to provide for the protection and provision of welfare for the population, the dictatorship in Kaduna has failed abysmally. If anything at all, the dictatorship is all about the pursuit of its own fantasies.

As citizens, we recognized the rights of '' Descent '' governments to more the population if an area to some other places because there is need for the land for other purposes but this happens after the population to be displaced have been adequately compensated. Even in war ravaged climes temporary accommodation is provided for the internally displaced but not in Kaduna.

An urban renewal programme is a welcomed idea but the reckless manner it is being pursued largely without regard to the welfare of the citizens is most regrettable.

I have had to argue that since Kaduna is not in short supply of virgin lands in any durection, land ought to have been acquired for a completely new township the cost of which will not be anything near the enormous cost of the current urban renewal programme. A previous government started the construction of the Kaduna Millennium City which to date remains uncompleted.

Rather than ensuring its completion, the dictatorship prefers the pursuit of its own fantasies. If the threat to demolish Kasuwan Barci is eventually carried out, many if not all the traders doing business there would have been brought to ruin.

Pertinent questions to be asked here are, has the dictatorship provided the traders to be displaced an altanative location to which they can move their business even if on a temporary basis? Is there a plan to compensate the traders to alleviate their plight? If these questions cannot be a swered in the affirmative it will be tragic.

There is this paradox about Kasuwan Barci because in the leadup to the 2019 general elections, the dictator gleefully told whoever was interested in listening that he could not afford the N 20,000,000 naira required to purchase the only form available for the contest and that the traders of the same Kasuwan Barci co tributed the money. This is largely true as a huge campaign billboard was errected as you approach the market.

If this is true it then means that the traders in Kasuwan Barci were dubbed and badly SCR**ED by the impish dictator as they contributed their money and voted to firmly install the dictator who is now their undoing.

If the impish dictator will be fair to the traders in Kasuwan Barci, the contract for the mega tombstone should be awarded to his Chinese friends who were awarded all the contracts for the urban renewal programme.

I suggest that a comprehensive census be taken to ensure that all the names of those to be displaced are engraved on the tombstone for historical purposes much in the manner if an Obelisk.

The Epitaph should read '' HEREIN LIES THE BROKEN SOULS AND BUSINESS OF THE OVER 30,000 KASUWAN BARCI DISPLACED TRADERS '' To God Be The Glory.
PoliticsThe PDP In Kaduna State Is Not Anybody's Personal Property by isahrabson(op): 10:20pm On Mar 08, 2020
The PDP in Kaduna State is not anybody's personal property

Democratic forces in Kaduna State have teamed up to defeat the league of undemocratic elements who were well on their way to manufacturing yet again the outcome of the upcoming PDP Ward Congresses as well as subsequent Congresses. Elections can only be rigged and the electorate made to look like buffoons if the people allow it.

The old political warlords thought they would cook up the results of the upcoming Congresses as has always been their usual practice but they met a CONCRETE WALL formed by the voting masses and have now been forced into a hasty RETREAT.

It is a proven fact that the voting population is much more democratic than those in the higher echelons of the leadership who sit in dark places to manufacture the results of elections that never held. Whilst the voting population will patiently queue to vote not minding how long it takes, those in leadership positions think of schemes and ways of subverting the will of the people to perpetuate themselves in power claiming that they are products of a Democratic process.

The PDP in Kaduna State is not anybody's personal property. The party belongs to the people of Kaduna State. The deliberate attempt to turn the State Exco of the party into a SHRINE is doomed to failure.

The current Exco of the PDP in Kaduna State has been a total failure and ought to be blamed for the abysmal failure of the party in 2019 General Elections.

They must be held to account to the electorate in the State. Who else will you blame for the failure? Shockingly the entirety of the Exco were pushing for a wholesale endorsement for them to continue to preside over FAILURE.

God forbid bad thing as they usually will say in Naija.

PoliticsPolitics Of Kaduna State, The Quality Of Candidates Must Be Above All Else. by isahrabson(op): 5:37pm On Feb 29, 2020
IN THE POLITICS OF KADUNA STATE, THE QUALITY OF CANDIDATES MUST BE ABOVE ALL ELSE.

The political space is populated by many characters made up of the good, the bad and the ugly.

The struggle to attain power is the main preoccupation of politicians. We are all politicians in many a way but the politics under discourse in this essay is that which is played on the platform of a political party.

Political culture is just beginning to deepen its root in Nigeria after a long period of Military rule. The Military kept mouthing return to civilian rule but they knew they were not telling Nigerians the truth particularly during the IBB dictatorship. Not once or twice the dictator kept shifting the goal post after a goal was scored ruling such as offside.

This procrastination got so many fine politicians discouraged leading many to give up on politics all together after huge investments in time and resources. IBB toyed with the idea of transforming from a Military dictator to a civilian president but could not find a way out and ended up being shoved aside but told us he was stepping aside.

The dark googled one tried to succeed himself and almost got away with it but for the cold hands of death. Not many believed that triple A's transition to civil rule programme was going to work and so the could not touch it even with a 12 foott long pole. Much like in today's Naija bet, some political neophytes took the gamble and it worked and our nation is said to have joined the league of democratic nations.

I am not too sure that there is a perfect democracy anywhere in the world but ours in many a way has fallen far short of what democracy should look like. At best, one will not be too wrong to describe ours as a stunted democracy.

In Kaduna, we are all agreed on a deliberate effort to polish and panel beat the contorted face of our democracy and returning same to those who own it '' The People ''. A lot of work is going into the project which essentially will reduce the manipulative influence of political merchants.

In this regard therefore the political playing fields will be as even as it possibly can be for every interested individuals to find accommodation. It is for those aspiring to be partakers to screen themselves thoroughly before presenting themselves for further screening.

In doing this, the relavant sections of the 1999 Constitution as Amended as well as the Electoral Act should come in handy for a guide. In politics, your past could always come up to haunt you.

If you know you have a dirty past or a skeleton in a cupboard tugged in somewhere you are better adviced to have a rethink because your political opponents will work hard to dredge up all the dirt about you. Many of our leaders occupying important positions have been proven to have forged certificates and on exposure had to be kicked out.

In Kaduna, if a contestant claims to have attended schools and institutions such laid claims to, no effort should be spared in conducting a verification to ascertain the claim(s). Failing to do this could lead to election outcomes being overturned either at the tribunals or courts.

It happened to a certain member if the Federal House of Representatives who claimed to have attended University of Chicago. It has just happened again in Bayelsa leading to weeping and gnashing of teeth.

To the extent that we keep covering up failures as mentioned supra, we run the risks of losing even when we won. In the 2019 Governorship Electictions in Kaduna, the impish dictator knew they had a trump card against their main opponent and were not in a hurry making much ado about it.

The El Ruffy camp were dead sure that the impish dictator was going to retain his position one way or the other either that their victory would come via the ballot or the courts/tribunals. The dictator's campaign team laid an ambush until the last week of campaigning when it was too late for substituting any candidate.

The spoiler being a Kaduna State Government Gazette showung clearly that their opponent was at a point in the past dismissed from the Civil Service of the State and therefore unfit to contests the elections.

Had the opposition candidate won at the ballot, the impish dictator and his gang would have spared no effort in going to either the tribunal or courts to have the outcome overturned. Had this ugly scenario played out, the opposition would have laboured in vain.

As an individual I refuse to believe that the opposition in Kaduna did not know that their candidate had issues to clear up but they kept mute which fed the conspiracy theory that the governorship position had long been sold by an interested party long before the voting.

The Kaduna State PDP 2023 Road Map Committee will do well to recommend very stringent and thorough screening of candidates before presenting them for any contest. It is in the interest of the party, the contestants as well as the voting public to know that they will not be working in vain.

Nothing can be more panful as winning an election at the ballot box and losing either at the tribunal or the courts.

Please recall that during the gubernatorial primaries in Kaduna State when it became clear that a candidate other than Distinguished Senator Suleiman Uthman Hunkuyi won there was a party in which only French Champaign was servedbin Sir Kashim Ibrahim House because their victory was already a fait acompli. I mentioned earlier that there was as it were, only one candidate who could have given the impish dictator a run for his money and that candidate was and is still Suleiman Hunkuyi.

When it became clear that the Senator was out of the race, the dictatorship went to sleep because they new there was no need to campaign any longer.

Those who manipulated the gubernatorial primaries to arrive the outcome they wanted are very much around and bent on undermining the upcoming congresses to retain the same bunch that manipulated the gubernatorial primaries. If there is no paradigm shift, am afraid that doing the same thing all over again and expecting different results may well be out lot.

You need no soothsayer to tell you the outcome of an election the moment you field a candidate with a tainted past. If we are serious about sacking the El Ruffy dictatorship from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, we must do the needful when the time comes by fielding a strong, capable candidate whoever such a candidate will be.
PoliticsStill On Boko Haram And The So-called Repentant Elements. by isahrabson(op): 11:48am On Feb 25, 2020
STILL ON BOKO HARAM AND THE SO-CALLED REPENTANT ELEMENTS.

The Boko Haram insurgency has been on for about 11 years now. To date, this is the longest engagement the Nigerian government and Armed Forces have had to contend with. With all the resources at the disposal of the Nigerian government both human and material, the best that has been achieved in the Counter insurgency effort thus far is that the insurgency which at a point had spread like a wild fire in the Harmattan to other parts of our nation has been forceded back to where it started. The masterstroke to end it all does appear a long way off. That the insurgency has lasted this long would suggest that a lot of factors are involved. From a military point of view a few of the principles which for convenience I call factors in this post are worthy of examining. These will not be discussed in their order of priority and they are not exhaustive::

a. Local Support. Local Support is perhaps the most important factor that has sustained the insurgency for this long. Without the support of the local population the insurgency would naturally have suffered asphyxiation and therefore died out. The local population provides many of the combatants making up the rank and file of the insurgents. The insurgents use the local population as cover making it difficult for the security forces to easily identify. They are almost certainly being used for intelligence gathering as well as for some other logistic requirements. During a visit to the Area of Operation of the Multinational Task Force some years back just before leaving the Service yours sincerely saw and witnessed the level of neglect and deprivation in the area. The situation in the Lake Chad settlement of Duguri was particularly pathetic. There was completely no government presence of any sort here. No roads, no schools, no medical facilities of any sort yet the population there belongs to a District in a Local Government Area of a State in a country called Nigeria. The population of this area in a democracy ought to be represented by a a Councillor, a Member in the House if Assembly, a Senator as well as a Governor. This village is simply stranded or abandoned in the middle of nowhere. I have to mention here that it is the contingent of our soldiers station in the village of Duguri that set up a place where young kids from the population were being thought ABCD and 12345 and onwards. The population in Duguri in my honest view has no business identifying themselves as Nigerians because they were simply abandoned.

b. Ideology. Believing in an ideology or a cause is the oxygen, water and food that has sustained the insurgency for this long. Whatever radical ideology the local population may have been subjected to believing it is a herculean task to get the population truly de-radicalized.

c. Foreign Support. It is very difficult to recall any insurgency that succeeded in sustaining itself and survived without some girm foreign support. Usually, the foreign State will either provide the bases for initial training, part of the manpower requirement, weapons, logistics as well as funding. In the case of Boko Haram, the theatre is encompassed by Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Paradoxically, these nations were contributors to the Multi National Task Force which has been in operation in the area. The honesty of some of these countries will need to be urgently reassessed. That Boko Harsm has survived for this long does suggest that the lines of supply of weapons and ammunition has been open and operational. Failures by our foreign intelligence services and diplomatic failures have all contributed to prolonging the life of Boko Haram

d. Lack of Will. From the onset, it did appear that the government of Nigeria at the time the insurgency came to the open was tardy and lethargic in the approach to fighting the insurgents. At a point Boko Haram operatives were everywhere even as far south as Lagos State. The coming of a new government did indicate a will to tackling the insurgents thus pushing them to within areas bordering the Lake Chad. It is beginning to appear as if fatigue is setting in which may be responsible for the seeming stalemate.

Driving this assay is the information mostly in the Social Media on the issue of the so-called repentant Book Haram fighters. Nigerians are made to believe that the captured insurgents have been de-radicalized and therefore will be injected back to the society. Worried Nigerians are asking questions regarding the entire processes called de-radicalization and how thorough it is. Such skepticism to me is justified given the brutality depicted in the videos which the insurgents take delight in streaming on Social Media in order to instill fear in Nigerians. Since it has since been established that not all the insurgents are Nigerians we are yet to be told how many if the so-called repentant Book Haram members are foreigners and where they have or are going to be deported to as was done after the defeat and collapse of the Islamic Caliphate in Syria and Northern Iraq. Further down this dirt road would the entire effort not amount to recircling the so-ca repentant fighters back to the battle field. There is also the demoralizing effect on the part of our troops who fought to capture the insurgents seeing that these individuals are let loose once again and might just end up going back to rejoin the insurgents? The entire programme in my humble view is not only a dangerous gambit but a huge risk.

Since life is so hard in Naija, has the risk factor been taken into consideration that the so-called repentant Book Haram after they may have been returned to society may not be able ri survive the difficult times and may therefore be tempted to go back to the insurgency? I hope that due consideration is given to the risk of granting foreigners Nigerian citizenship simply because they claim to have repented. The very candid advice of the Borno State governor Prof Xullum to the effect that the nation should put an additional 100,000 men/women under arms for the counter insurgency effort is brilliant and should provide the final solution to Book Haram. I pray that the President acts in this advice.

Kaduna PDP Youths Frowns At Caucus Micro-zoning Ahead of Congress

February 20, 2020

…Suspects Imposition

PDP youth-based concerned group in Kaduna State have condemned the party’s caucus position in the state to micro-zone the chairmanship position to Kachia, which is contrary to the decision reached at the extraordinary national caucus meeting which took place in Abuja recently. At the end of the meeting, it was unanimously agreed that, “the chairman position of the PDP in all states of the federation must not be micro-zoned.” The youths warned on the imminent danger that awaits the party in kaduna state if they go ahead with their plan and micro-zoned.

The group said the entire move is aimed at imposing the current party chairman, Hassan Hyet on the party. The group described the PDP caucus in Zone 3 as “ selfish politician” and “a major liability to the party” because they focuses their minds and energy towards what they will make out of the party and not really interested in moving the party forward and carrying the youths along.

In a two-page document signed and issued to journalists by the leader of the group, Comrade Daniel “Oscar” Yishen, said: “We are aware that the caucus, in their interest and against party’s member will, have mischievously zoned the chairmanship position to Kachia. We are also aware that the party in the state wants to sell only one form to their sole anointed candidate, Hyet, thereby denying other aspirants access to the aspiration form and have Hyet as the only candidate to contest against himself. The party’s caucus in Zone 3 is living in the past and shying away from instituting a credible internal democracy within the party. This is a clear expression that they, Zone 3 caucus, lack the requisite skill of running an opposition party,” has said.

“How can you have party leaders who are not united,” he tongue-lashed, adding, “Leaders who are holding grudges against each other, who don’t forgive each other, yet, they want to put forward a solid party that can snatch power from the ruling party? This is a huge joke. Reforming PDP in kaduuna state should have meant reforming themselves, the party leaders.

“We, the youths are dissatisfied and disgruntled with the zoning of the chairmanship position of the party to Kachia and from all indication the zoning is a deliberate calculation to maintain the existing status quo and favour Hyet, the incumbent chairman who has not been running the party as an opposition party.

“In kaduna state today, PDP is a lame duck, a toothless bulldog and nobody can claim that we have been doing our job, as an opposition, of holding the government accountable. We can’t assert that we are serious about snatching power in 2023 with this kind of team.

“What we calling for is a leveled playing ground where everyone can contest and the system should be left, unaltered, so that it can churn-out the best hands that can pilot the affairs of the party, someone who will enjoy the cooperation of party members because they elected him.

“We are sounding this warning, if peradventure; the caucus succeeds in their plans and imposes Hyet on the party, a lot of party members will leave the party, the party will collapse. For hindsight, the victory recorded at the 2019 polls was driven by the youths and not by the caucus and we want them to take note of this. But, when it comes to leading people or establishing the party structure the youths will be left behind. We will not continue to be subservient.”

Elrufai's Pick of a Journalist as 'Head of Internal Security' Explains Growing Insecurity in Kaduna

Feb 11, 2020

The insecurity in Kaduna state under the present administration of Governor Nasir Ahmed Elrufai has become a usual occurrence and indeed so unfortunate that government, both at national and state level are not able to secure the lives and properties of citizens that is considered as primary task of any government.

Coupled with growing level of kidnappings, killings, banditry and other forms of insecurity taking place in Kaduna, which in recent times, the most terrorised state in Nigeria -government have not been able to live up to the expectations of the people towards enhancing total safety.

Given the issues in place and how government seems to be struggling with, on how to defeat these bandits, the governor boldly appointed a professional journalist, Mr. Samuel Aruwan as head of internal security which isn't his area of specialty. That clearly explains why the state is still struggling under the yoke of terror.

How did we got here by entrusting our state's security to a media man and not a force man, a security consultant or even an expert in the field of security and defense?

The answer is not far from the fact that the present administration in Kaduna state has proven over and over to have lost all ideas to the growing challenges that further given birth to public outcry, economic undergrowth and more. The governor has lost his grip of the state which is why nothing is truly working. The only thing working is total disaster.

Therefore, it is a matter of urgency for the government to employ new strategies, change of guards in the state coupled with the need and demand for change of service chiefs and another great move towards restoring peace and security.

A SENATOR'S TRAVAILS IN THE MURKY WATERS OF THE POLITCS OF SIR KASHIM IBRAHIM HOUSE KADUNA

I have always know that it will turn this dirty in the Kaduna power play at some point. It is obvious that we are arriving that bus stop given the nude videos already going viral on the sexual exploits of the Senator representing the Central Senatorial Zone of Kaduna State.

It is not any surprising at all.that society is being treating to doses of what played out mostly in supposedly dark precincts in Kaduna, Abuja, Zaria and perhaps outside of our shores in the most reckless and irresponsible display of indecency which the nude pictures of a supposedly distinguished Senator clearly show.

Those who have watched the short videos surely would have held their breaths over how a Senator could descend so low as to have dropped his guard as the videos were recorded.

Surely if the Senator is not a complete buffoon, at the very least, he ought to have factored in the possibilities that such potentially damaging and indicting evidences could be a real possibility which could at some point in the future either turn up for him or against him.

This is exactly the kind of thing which could happen when you wake up one day and stumble into power. Power, particularly political power can be so intoxicating and so it has been with this individual.

The APC storm of 2015 brought this character aboard the Kaduna State's Maximum dictator's gravy train. Once onboard he constituted himself into a hitman of sort responsible for organizing the low-lives and dropouts mostly in Kaduna North all of whom he empowerment with enough Naira to procure hard drugs and dangerous cudgels with which the opposition was regularly harassed around town as happened at the NUJ Press Center and the NUT Guest House in Kaduna.

These were the stages of consolidating power by the Maximum leader and the gang around the seat of power in Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

Nobody except those behind the nude videos and the Senator himself can say exactly when the recording was done and where.

With the videos now bring released piece mill, we now know why they were recorded in the first place The truth remains that if you live such a scandalous lifestyle, you must not contemplate ever dropping your guard as is often said in the game of boxing or your opponent will punch you out.

The Senator has been too used to being such a loose canon when it comes to women and the story goes that their preference in the gang lies in married women.

For a truth, the Senator is not alone in this, his partners are there and in there numbers. Another sordid part of the tail also says that when it suites the group, they also sleep with fellow men a practice so endemic in high places in these climes.

Someone or a group involved in the power game in Sir Kashim Ibrahim House must have realised that the Senator either before he became the Senator or after was positioning himself for a much higher position and the videos were recorded when our dear Senator was unsuspecting to serve as brakes to hold him back when the time was right.

It would appear that his enemies or opponents have gotten him exactly where they want him. The jewel in the crown is the governorship of Kaduna State after the Maximum keader has expired.

Let's together ponder on if this lascivious individual possesses the character to even aspire to the high office of a governor.

To understand the background to the current political chess game playing out in Sir Kashim Ibrahim House and elsewhere, it is imperetive that you understand who the contending forces engaged in the struggle for the soul and body of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House are.

There is what is simply referred to as the Maximum leader's triangle or political tripot with the Maximum leader as the pivot.

In the light of their childhood background the Senator has remained close to the Naximum leaderr's heart.

Before becoming a Senator he had build a group of ruthless boys who undertake most of his dirty jobs. These boys also have the additional responsibility of supplying the females deployed for the duo's sexual pleasures.

The second group is peopled by politicians mainly from the Zaria axis. Members include the ruthless Saeed, the deputy Majority Member in the House of Assembly, the Senator representing the Northern Senatorial Zone, the Majority leader in the House of Assembly and their likes.

This group are the political architects, artisans and foot soldiers. It is important to note that there is no love loss at least in the unfolding political drama between this group and the first except that the second groups feels it had been over used by the first.

The first group exerted a choking stranglehold on the Government of Kaduna State throughout the first term of 4 years 2015- 2019. Even as these 2 groups apear on the surface to be working together, there is an under current pursuing the same interests.

There is then the third group made up of the State's SSG, the formet Chief of Staff now a Tzarina at Nigeria Ports Authority as well as the current Chief of Staff. This group constitutes the engine room of the Maximum leader's kitchen cabinet and is responsible for most if the policies and activities of the government.

Let me attempt to establish a nexus between the third group and the other 2. The third group is not at ease with the first 2 and therefore sees them as destroyers who are determined to keep the Maximum dictators at arms length with the others The third group skso looks down on the second as empty headed politicians.

The Second group on the other hand sees the third as egg-headed who are opportunistic but yet without the capacity to assemble a government.

Interwoven between the 3 contending groups is another small group not quite visible but very effective having a failed banker and conman as the pivot.

This failed banker who is being sought by the United States government is so centrally placed that he has the ears of the Maximum leader whenever it matters most. This character thought imported to the State for purely personal reasons by the dictator occupies a position of such influence that no individual in Kaduna can afford to challenge him without getting hurt.

In trying perhaps to over exploit the childhood relationship between the Senator and the Maximum leader the seed of discord may have been planted which are beginning to geminate in the light of the nude videos now going viral.

The Maximum leader himself either advertently or otherwise opened the floodgates of this huge political dam in Kaduna when not long ago he was on television talking garrulousely as is usual of him on who his successor would eventually be.

He double spoke and in the process drawing a battle line between the favourite women in his government to include the deputy governor but because she comes from the wrong side is town, the Tzarina holding sway at NPA and another currently serving this nation abroad.

What I foresee is employing a strategy of contest by elimination. A clash or a potential clash has been programmed between the male and female potential future aspirants. What is about to play out in the politics of Kaduna State is not any different from what is commonly described as '' Poetic Justice '' . A band of political bandits conspired to steal power, they did actually succeed in stealing the power and as is to be expected, they are now fighting unto death as to a sharing fomula for the loot.

Given the nude videos of the Senator now viral it is left to conjecture how he and his group will respond. Except if the beleaguered Sen has a stronger counter to the video already in the public domain, I have my fears as to what the future potents for him.

We have been expecting that after the nude videos hit the creens of our phones, thatt the Senator will immediately attempt to repudiate its contents. We are yet to get Hus own side of the story.

In all of this forward and backward movement is the APC governorship ticket for 2023. The political picture is very much like the pictures of a sandy desert where what you see in the morning or afternoon would have disappeared by the evening.

I expect that the Senator has learnt from Tzun Zu who left valuable lessons for warfare in which he admonishes on the importance of knowing yourself as well as the enemy in which case you can go to battle without any fear. Where you know yourself without knowing the enemy, Tzun Zu predicts that for every one victory you will suffer a defeat.

Worse of all, where you konw neither yourself nor the enemy, you will be a complete fool to go into battle as you will be comprehensively defeated. In this circumstance therefore, I expect that he has in his pocket a more damaging response to the videos since I believe there exists no angles when it comes to the battle for survival.

We know just as everyone else knows that the Maximum keader may even be randier particularly with the spauses of his very close confidants. Is it not true that if you live in a glass house, you cannot afford to start throwing stones?.

It is not impossible to suggest that a compromise can be agreed at some point in the future but even with such a possibility, the damage has been done to the Senator and any reputation he may be clinging on to.

I sympathize with Sani for the simple reason he is not a strategist anywhere close to the great Roman General and Statesman Quintus Fabious Maximus Cuntatir 280-203 BC who during the Punic Wars successfully stood up against the famous Catharginian General Hannibal 247-183 BC who had a vastly supperio army.

Cuntator knew he could not afford to confront Hannibal's massive army in a direct engagement so he came up with the strategy of attacking the opponent's supply lines and engaging the enemy only on grounds favourable to him while employing what has come to be known in today's warefare as Guerrilla tactics.

The randy Senator has been cought up in open territory without any natural defenses and no where to hide. It will take only the grace of Almighty God for the present engagement to end up on terms favourable to the Senator.

Could this be true of the Way the Cookie Crumbles? The train has just left the station and heading to 2023, some of the passengers are already at daggars drawn and nobody can say who from the sables of the APC will arrive the 2023 station.

We are all watching. I wish the not so distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic well.

THE SEASON OF THREATS-Col A GORA

Jan 24,2020

Welcome to the season of threats in embattled Naija. Threats are meant to serve deterrent purposes but threats devoid of credibility and the will to carry out such measures as are threatened amounts to simply blowing hot air. Of late, some non State actors particularly in the North of the country not limited to Miyetti Allah, MACBAN, ACF and others have been threatening the South West over their regional security arrangement called Amotekun. These same non State actors have been speaking in a language suggesting that Naija is their personal property.

Miyetti Allah has had the effrontery and temerity to say that the South West will not be given the presidency come 2023 as if the presidency is their personal property to give to whomsoever they desire.. Such buffoonery is unequalled both in time and space. For these guys coming from the foothills of the Futa Djalon in Guinea to be so arrogant tells the story of a nation that has lost its way.

In the light of the current threats across the political spectrum in Naija the reader must be compelled to wondering what choices there are for viable remedies. States in South East are verging on resuscitating the dreaded Bakassi Boys under a new name to provide security in that region.

The Middle Belt is thinking of a similar security arrangement as Amotekun. It is only the feudal North that is very apprehensive of the regional security outfits.

If all was well and Nigerians are safe wherever they are, the idea of Amotekun or indeed any other localized security arrangement would not have arisen. Given that our men and women under arms are busy in the North East trying to contain Book Haram, and thereby cresting empty spaces for the terrorist to icvupy it is my humble and very sincere belief that the regional security arrangement should be looked into and the necessary possible adjustments made..

What is wrong with the idea of a localized security arrangement in a failing State? Who exactly is or are responsible for the insecurity in the land? Those who stand accused as being responsible for the insecurity everywhere in Naija paradoxically are the sane bunch spewing out the threats.

Is it in Southern Kaduna, Birnin Gwari area, the Abuja Kaduna highway, the Plateau, Zamfara, Katsina, Benue, Oyo, Ondo, just name it and the fingers will always point to the Fulani herders or their agents masquerading as herdsman but are actually gunmen.

That the government has deliberately decided to play down the activities of the rogue Fulani elements wrecking havoc and mayhem all over Naija calls for serious national introflection.

If we continue this way, how far shall we get. I believe very passionately that the panacea to this problem is deeply rooted in urgent RESTRUCTURING of the nation.

It should have been clear to the feudalist that not many of our countrymen and women are ready to continue to walk through the huge feudal limbs to finding their dishonourable graves. Going our different ways if we cannot find accommodation as equals surely should be a good prescription.
