How president Buhari promised Nigerian's within six month's-Dr Abdurrahman Usman

February 14,2021

Clarion call to Gen Buhari.
Mr president, if you may recall, in 2014/15, the main kernel of your campaign was on the key tripodal issues of insecurity, the economy and pertinently here, the issue of enhancing the welfare of standard of living of Nigerians and lastly, that you would eliminate corruption in the governance.

In trying to accomplish this, you promised Nigerian's,that within six month's, boko haram and banditry, would have been exterminated. yes, of course given your pedigree as a retired general, we all had hope in you fulfilling your promise,so soon as you, take over the reigns of power.

But alas, today,we can sadly note, that our Hope's were totally misplaced. we have further slide in to the ignominable abyss,to the extent that,we have sadly earned the toga of the third most terrorized nation in the globe.that speaks volume about your failure to secure the nation is clearly evinced by the above.

What is more worrisome to most Nigerian's at this moment,is that we are far more divided, than ever before, your fastidious approach to tackling critical issue's affecting Nigerian's particularly on security matter's, leaves many wandering whether, you are truly in charge and or even aware, that,we are well on the precipice of a cliff edge of internecine and tribal wars and your stance and cluelessness in handling matter's is even more worrisome.

Your supposed image makers, Adesina, Garba Shehu and your governments official mouth piece, ain't helping issues either.our economy is not having any good telling effect on Nigerian's, tour accomplishment in making us,the poverty capital of the world, gives a short and pungent synopsis of your ebullient failure.

General, have you forgotten so soon, your promise on the soap box about the exchange rate and on issue of subsidy cum fuel price ? you claimed to have removed subsidy, but then you would go down in memory lane as having paid unimaginable humongous amounts as subsidy. least too i forget, your anti corruption war, has proven to be not only a scam , targeted mainly at opposition politicians, indeed, transparency international, whose global rating of Nigeria in 2015, was a key tool of your campaign of calumny against Jonathan and the PDP government, has also said it all and exposed the fallacy of your anti corruption war, nepotism, has become endemic and well entrenched in your government, right from the inner most and top recess of government, to the bottom, in every facet of governance.

Your government plausible propaganda of eliminating corruption by way of blocking leakages in the system, are only mere proclamations on the media, that explains your gluttonous appetite for borrowing, as if it is a fashion. the legislative and judiciary arms of government have been so unassailable, brow beaten and compromised, Nigerian's no longer have faith in them.

Gen Babangida, your fabled arch enemy never corruptively abused the privileges of his office as you are won't to do now, yet, your regime bears a fake toga of a government of saints. hmm, the odiferous smell of corruption from the central bank of Nigeria, is well known to all, round tripping of fx by a cabal around you, has largely been responsible for ineffectual management of the foreign exchange regime and thus your inability, to fulfill your promise of making the dollar /naira exchange rate at par.

The truth is that, in other Clime's, you would have been forced to exit office, but then, have you forgotten, the hereafter and the burden of leadership on the day of judgment, before our creator , general buhara, i advice that you honourably resign now, so that you can have your name on the right side of posterity.

PDP remains formidable party of choice in kaduna State – Isa Rabiu

February 13,2021

Isa Rabiu, the media DG on research under PDP Kaduna State, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State remains the party of choice, peace and harmony.

I urge PDP members,PDP media team and party leaders, all hands must be on deck to consolidate on the gains and strength of the party in the State.

He stated this on Friday, after going round within the State capital to witnessed the APC jamborees party membership registration process, but nothing rather than childish play and fraud activities.

He also assure it clear that the party remained as strong as ever in the State and I call party members across the 23 local government to be calm and believe in the leadership of PDP in the State and due process activities are going on for the better of all citizens in the state towards 2023 general election.

I challenged stakeholders of the party at all levels to close ranks and work in harmony with leaders of the party.

I advised party members not to allow personal ambitions to override party supremacy at a time when the general elections are almost two years away.

The PDP executives, They all restated their total commitment to the success and strength of the party in the State day and night.

PoliticsHow APC Administration And The Party In Kaduna State Is Ran By A Cabal by isahrabson(op): 9:28am On Feb 11, 2021
PRESS RELEASE

11/2/2021

The PDP, advises the people...

The People's Democratic Party,PDP,Kaduna State Chapter is calling on its members to be wary of all the deceptive advances by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), in their registration and revalidation exercise.

It has come to our notice that the failed APC political party has been going round deceiving the general public that one can register with their party and be given #5,000, GSM phones, fertiliser, rice, loans and other sundry gifts.

Their lies also includes, the promise to participate in decision making once you are a registered party member, the call on people to register with the APC even if you are a member of another political party, urging the public not to put their eggs in one basket, as well as the claiming that registering with them does not imply voting for the party during elections.

This is nothing but a gimmick to lure innocent Nigerians into their fold.

It is a rehash of the failed promises, falsehood and deceptive acts the APC is synonymous with, which it used against the people to gain power in 2015.

Why would a party which has been in government for about six years be bribing people to join their failed contraption? This is against the law,₩ and it is tantamount to vote buying, which is an unholy concept of rigging introduced by them into our electoral system. The offer of financial or material gift for people to register is appalling, deceitful and an evidence of failure on the side of the ruling party.

It is obvious that the government of APC in Kaduna State have relegated a lot of its members, who toiled hard at the formative stage of the party and subsequently worked tirelessly for its electoral 'victory' to the background.

Rather than making them part of decision making in the party or government, a substantial number of them have been kicked out of the party, some were arrested and thrown into detention for the simple reason of holding contrary opinion to the people at the helm of affairs. While a large part of the current membership are cowed, gagged and oppressed to silence or submission in expectation of crumbs from their masters.

Apparently, the APC administration and the party in Kaduna State is ran by a cabal in an undemocratic manner and all decisions are made by the members of that clique.

Therefore, registering as a member would not change their philosophy, rather it would only aid in swelling up their data base to be used for rolling out their usual lies and propaganda.

The persuasion of people to register as members of their party, despite holding membership of other political parties is ridiculous, and a ploy to hoodwinked the general public to engage in dual party registration, which is illegal and unlawful.

Certainly there is no gain saying the people are still grappling with the hardship, poverty, demolition of their business premises and houses, insecurity, corruption, bad governance, sacking of their bread winners from their jobs without compensation and so on, hoist on them by the APC, hence the rejection of the party, resulting in the low turn out and registration of under age minors it is experiencing at its registration and revalidation centres.

The PDP is calling on all its members and the general public to resist all entreaties by merchants of falsehood and propaganda to cajole or tempt them, in their so called registration and revalidation exercise, that is already shrouded in intra-party controversy.

We are also calling on all our party supporters and stakeholders to be on the watch as they will stop at nothing just to get a number they would use to further propagate their usual shenanigans.

PoliticsMakarfi:tackling The Current Security Challenges And The Need For Caution by isahrabson(op): 8:11pm On Jan 25, 2021
25th January 2021

TACKLING THE CURRENT SECURITY CHALLENGES AND THE NEED FOR CAUTION

At every level of development, every society or nation cannot escape being confronted by challenges of various hues; the test for the strength, cohesion and maturity of the society and its system is not in playing the ostrich and trying to pretend that the challenges aren’t real, but in how they are confronted and dealt with. As Nigeria currently faces challenges of monumental proportions in virtually, all spheres of endeavour, it behoves on all of us to come pull together as one to confront and defeat these challenges.

Of all the challenges, to me, the biggest and most scary is the seeming breakdown of security in most parts of the country. That the provision of security is the primary purpose of government, is a trite and worn-out cliché, but it bears repeating here. Governments at all levels must therefore strive to remain faithful to this mandate, realising though that they need the support and understanding of all citizens to succeed.

Incidences of banditry, kidnapping and other forms of criminalities are becoming the order of the day across the country. Economic and social activities are therefore stalling, leading to a stagnation of our development as a people and a nation. There can be no development without stability; and there can be no stability without adequate security that affords all the chance to pursue various legitimate means of livelihood. And no investor, local or foreign will bring their capital to a place in which security of life and property is not guaranteed. So, North, South, East and West, we need to realise that we are in a deeper pit than we seem to acknowledge.

Governments at all levels must therefore lead the quest for us to get out of this quagmire by upping the ante and tempo of this fight against insecurity in all its ramifications. The rejigging of the security architecture and equipping it with all the necessary wherewithal is paramount. Even though this is government’s primary responsibility, it cannot be effectively shouldered to the exclusion of the citizens. It is therefore incumbent on governments at all levels to embrace all and give all a sense of belonging through inviting and as much as practicable, working on the contributions of all, irrespective of political differences, ethnic or religious background to ensure the success of the fight. Every Nigerian is a critical stakeholder in this project; therefore, all perspectives should be harnessed and deployed in prosecuting this fight.

We, the led, must also realise that we have a part to play to ease the burden on the governments. And this we can all do by coming together, setting aside all differences, be they political, religious, tribal, geographical and any other, to launch a massive onslaught on this monster, which does not discriminate on who, where and when it attacks.

A situation in which we allow emotions to rule our decision-making faculties, leading to incendiary remarks by some of us from all parts of the Country who ordinarily ought to have known better is a recipe for loss of focus, which ultimately leads to doom. I therefore call on all of us, the leaders and the led, to put on our thinking caps and realise that we are all in this mess together and it takes the coming together of all of us to get out of it.  All of us, across all the partisan and other divides must also guard against the temptation to politicise the issue of security. We must realise that we have to have a country before we can play politics.

Leaders, political, religious, traditional, socio cultural and others must also be smart and guard their utterances and actions, as the handling of some of the issues arising from some of the problems requires sensitivity, delicate balancing as well as the capacity to operate above the fray. It is in this light that I consider the issuance of ultimatums and counter ultimatums to Nigerians living in various parts of the country by leaders and cultural groups across the divides as counterproductive and a far cry from the real solution to the problem. This is not to say however that agitations against criminal elements are to be ignored. People have the legitimate rights to raise their voices against criminality perpetrated by anybody or group, while leaders must rise above sentiments and emotions by looking more broadly and more holistically at issues and their pros and cons, in order to ensure justice to all. In line with this spirit, I welcome the statement by the Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum to the effect that no ultimatum has been given to anybody by any Governor.

I also call on the Federal Government to intensify its partnership with the States and other leaders to bring an end to the banditry, kidnappings and other criminalities across the length and breadth of our dear Country

Governments at all levels would also do well to be more accommodating of critics and criticisms and avoid falling into the trap of always looking at and seeing critics as enemies. Critics are not necessarily enemies, not even opponents; they just happen to see things from different perspectives. By engaging positively with critics, governments have the dual advantage of analyses from alternative perspectives as well as the opportunity to educate the critics on the insights to their own perspectives that the critics may otherwise be unaware of.

I condole with families who lost dear ones to the various crises and criminalities arising from this situation of insecurity and also sympathise with those who lost properties or suffered any economic loss and also call on us all to support governments at all levels as they grapple with this challenge.

2023:Hassan Hyat performance will give PDP victory –Isa Rabiu

January 15, 2021

The PDP chairman performance in the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state will give the Peoples Democratic Party victory in the general elections in the state 2023.

The PDP, under the administration of hassan hyat had landmark good political activities from word, local government and state level across the 23LG in the state to showcase when on campaigns would be lifted.

The Stronger vision of the present PDP was on course in spite of Covid-19 and economic downturn that hit the world’s economy in 2020,and also affected the party activities for preparation towards 2023.

On the second wave of Covid-19,I strongly advised PDP leaders, residents of the state to obey prescribed protocols to keep the pandemic at bay as failure to comply may push government to take stringent measures.

I also commended journalists for the biased reportage of PDP restoration group policies but nothing rather than distraction to the PDP family entirely.

An ode for gov ezenwo wike. yes, you are a pillar of support for PDP, most especially, financially. However, you need to know, never look down on others, more so in this game called politics,we need every body,no inch of support is too little.the art of scoring in politics is essentially achieved with majority.your money may just be useless and of no use,if you don't use it to carry people along,a single tree, can never make a forest.

What the PDP needs more than ever now,is to wield support from every cranny of Nigeria,so please my energetic and workaholic governor,it is high time,we show respect for others, even if,they don't have the kind of financial muscle that you have.it seems, you are yet to learn from the lesson of the defeat of your candidate in the 2019, presidential primarys of our party,in which, despite, the huge arsenal of cash at your disposal, you lost out.lastly,i very love the way you govern your state with enviably passion and people centric developmental government, unlike what we have in Kaduna state here.

Please do not be deceived, should the PDP loose out again in the struggle for the presidency in come 2023,you don't even need a prophet to tell you, that, you would certainly be one of the most hounded, debased and ridiculed ex governor,by the in coming administration.i can certainly assure you that even,if you decamp to APC before the elections, you would later on regret it,as the all promises cancelled coalition of crooks, would do everything, to ensure that you are a guest of kuje Hilton reformation centre.if this rings A bell in you,am sure, you would endeavor to be, more circumspect and indeed, even do more for the PDP,to ensure it reclaim the presidency in 2023.

I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart pray for divine favor, protection and guidance for you,in all your undertakings and an thus constrained, to tell it in my characteristic manner of saying it as it is,without fear or favor.please accept, the assurances of my best wishes,to you, your very supportive wife and family too.

PoliticsKaduna:pdp Condemned The Taxes Imposed By Nasir Elrufai Led APC Govt by isahrabson(op): 9:45pm On Nov 13, 2020
PDP condemned arbitrary taxes imposed by the Nasir Elrufai led APC govt

The world over, taxes are a major source of revenues for the government used in providing developmental projects, and Kaduna State cannot be an exception.
Which is why citizens have the right to challenge their government to be accountable and transparent in the provision of developmental infrastructures and services.

However, a humane government considers the economic realities of her citizens before such taxes and levies are charged on them.

In Kaduna State, workers are sacked without payment of their entitlements, farmers can no longer go to their farms and returned home safe because of kidnappings and killings by bandits, markets and business entities have been demolished without providing alternatives to owners of these businesses.

If all of these misnomer are the order of the day, how does the government expect the citizens to be able to afford to pay these taxes ?

In the near past, the Kaduna State Government had introduced similar taxes on owners of houses, borehole owners and even petty traders. Instead of the government to be more serious on its cardinal responsibility of maintaining law and order by decimating these criminal elements, they are over stretching and strangulating the socio-economic base of the citizens.

People's houses have been burnt down, they can't go to their farms, and most of them are in the IDPs without source of livelihood, they are being fed by good Samaritans from the members of the public.

How does the government intend to collect taxes/levies on people struggling to pay ransom for their loved ones that have been kidnapped ?

The Peoples' Democratic Party,PDP, is not in any way against government's policy on development levies and taxes, but the timing is wrong because the socio-economic base of the people is weak and fragile that it cannot be able to shoulder such additional burden.

Socio-economic development can never be achieved under these circumstances !

The party calls for a reversal of these arbitrary taxes imposed on the citizens of the State and encourages government to bring out policies and programmes that would turn around the economic fortunes of the people of the state that are expected to pay the taxes and levies.

The government should know that it is one thing to impose a tax, but a different thing to successfully collect the tax.

Balarabe Musa left ‘legacy of humility and courage,’ says Makarfi

Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi says he has received with shock and total submission to the will of Allah, news of the death of elder statesman, patriot, politician, true champion of the downtrodden and the first Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa, which occurred earlier today.

A statement signed by his spokekesman, Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo said Senator Makarfi though saddened by this heavy loss, derived consolation from the fact that Mallam Balarabe Musa lived a good life in the service of God and humanity.

“An epitome of simplicity and honesty, Mallam Balarabe Musa lived all his life in relentless pursuit of a better life for the poor and oppressed.

“The government that he led in Kaduna State between 1979 and 1981 gave practical expression to the struggle for the emancipation of the talakawa. He, no doubt, has left a legacy of humility and courage in the face of daunting odds, as well as dedication and commitment to what he believed in, top of which was his abiding faith in this country and a desire to see justice and equity prevailed in it,” the statement said.

According to Makarfi, “His contributions to both public service as well as the evolution of democracy and good governance in Nigeria, will continue to be remembered and cherished.”

It is the earnest prayer of Senator Makarfi that Allah (SWT) will abundantly reward Mallam Balarabe Musa for his numerous good deeds, forgive his mistakes and also give his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this loss, the statement said.

PoliticsKaduna Apc: A Party Without A Human Face by isahrabson(op): 9:47am On Oct 29, 2020
PRESS RELEASE

28/10/2020

THE APC: A PARTY WITHOUT A HUMAN FACE

We are all witnesses to the recent revolt by the youths of this country, a situation never before witnessed in this country. While it is true that sponsored thugs and hoodlums hijacked the otherwise peaceful protests, a lesson to inevitably learn is that mood of the nation is clearly depicted in the action of the youths and by extension the hoodlums.

Only few days ago, Kaduna witnessed another unprecedented action by citizens of the state, akin to other states where unknown warehouses were broken into by hungry Kaduna residents and food items looted. Since the APC came on board in 2015, there is a clear and present danger of a government without a human face.

The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is clear on the basic cardinal of any government in power about security and welfare of citizens before all else.

In Kaduna state, this government has been beating its chest about some very lopsided, misplaced, overpriced and clownish road projects without a care about the welfare of its indigenes. Worthy of note is the unperturbed manner in which small businesses are being destroyed by this government in the name of urban renewal. Kaduna has large land expanses that can be developed without killing small businesses. It is correct that most cities around the world have inner cities and Kaduna in a third world country cannot claim to be an Island in that regard. It is like the people do not even exist. Poverty keeps soaring, as prices of food items keep skyrocketing everyday. Can a famished lion chase after a prey?

If the citizens are hungry, how can they walk on the few roads to work?

The political appointees in this government are pathetic because they dont have enough to take care of their needs not to talk of helping people from their constituencies. Only a handful of government officials have enough to cater for themselves and hoard away what they have cornered leaving the multitude of others in limbo.

When the Honorable minister of Humanitarian affairs claimed some months ago that she has fed virtually all the homes in Nigeria (sic), many Nigerians came after her but no Governor came to her aid to prove the veracity of her claims. Little did we know that even Governor Nasir Elrufai and the APC government, in its usual wickedness has taken stock of unknown quantities of food items and loaded them into unmarked warehouses obviously in the dead of the night while the citizens go to bed hungry and famished. No official announcement was made about the items nor did the citizens know about an attempt to share it. What could be the motive behind this insensitive act? Did they plan to rebag the items and sell later or did they want to give to only friends and cronies at the detriment of the majority? These are questions begging for answers.

While the PDP sympathises with the people who loss their lives and the injured, as a result of the stampede in one the warehouses, the party condemns vehemently any act of lawless looting, our party rightly places the blame at the doorstep of the government for their secretive and suspicious actions, because if there were no clandestine ulterior motives, there would have been an official announcement about the items.

We therefore call on the Kaduna State Government to bring those who decided to hide these items in the midst of hunger and starvation to book.

We also advise the government to stick with the wise instruction of the constitution on security and welfare of citizens before anything else because this fire is just starting if things continue the way they are and nobody is safe.

A word is enough for the wise!

THOSE WHO DREAM ABOUT CREATING FACTION IN KADUNA STATE PDP, MUST BE REMINDED TO LEARN FROM THE PAST

Why did R- APC, die a natural death ? it's all about people. they better go and form a new political party or hijack any of the moribund parties, if truly, they are confident of their popularity.

trading places, trading people for selfish personal gains,is now past tense and can never work out again.the era of mercenary politicking is over.

lastly, any attempt to foister division within the PDP,which is non existent, must be regarded by security agent's as construing threat to public peace and lawful order.

We have had enough with CORONA and APC'S inhuman anti- people policies than for some selfish bigot's to disturb our peace and drive to ease out the CZAR,come
2023.

Kaduna state PDP blazed the trail, when it had the most transparent party Congress and or convention, ever seen in Nigeria,it lasted more than 60 hour's,because of the scrutiny for transparency and due process in the conduct of the state and was indeed better evinced by the fact that, there was no appeal nay protest against the elections,by even single contestant.

How ever,we are later told that, some people got drenched up in a fabled court injunction, but all those who sought to contest, fully took part in the process,so,from which side of the pit of hell, would an amorphous faction emerge from, even Lucifer, would reject it,I swear, nay the people.

PoliticsRt.hon.isa M Ashiru On The Occasion Of Nigeria's 60th Independence Anniversary by isahrabson(op): 11:08pm On Oct 01, 2020
PRESS STATEMENT BY RT. HON. ISA MOHAMMED ASHIRU ON THE OCCASION OF NIGERIA'S 60TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY, 1ST OCTOBER, 2020

I sincerely felicitate with all Nigerians on the occasion of this year's independence day anniversary. This development calls for celebration in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges that have continued to make life unbearable for our people.

October 1st, 1960 is a very significant date in the history of our dear nation Nigeria and Nigerians. It is a day that symbolizes the triumph of our nation over the forces of oppression and economic exploitation and laid the foundation of a free, united, strong, and prosperous nation. It was a feat made possible by the combined efforts; hard work, sweat and resilience of our founding fathers across the various geopolitical zones of the country.

Regrettably, successive leaders since 1966 have failed to consolidate on the solid foundations upon which this country was built. Ethnoreligious strife , corruption, and a host of other social vices have combined to stall our progress towards true economic, social and political independence.

For many decades, ethnoreligious strife, corruption, insecurity, poverty and injustice have left a vast majority of our people devastated, homeless, and hopeless. Our government and democratic institutions have continued to be weakened by the ineptitude, greed and selfishness of a recycled few at the helm of our affairs. Tribalism, nepotism, and mediocrity have assumed unimaginable proportions in almost every facet of our national life to the extent that they have become the new normal.

Our unity too, is threatened everyday to such an embarrassing extent that citizens are no longer free to live in certain regions or areas of their choice, ply certain routes, or venture into certain vocations without the fear of being marginalised, threatened, kidnapped, maimed or even killed.

Some of our villages and high ways have even become human abbatoirs overrun by terrorists, bandits, and kidnappers with no end in sight, while government and its security forces continue to claim "successes" that are not seen by the people who suffer daily attacks.

At 60, the state of our public infrastructure is among the worst in the world. Be it railways, power, industry, healthcare, or education, among others. Successive governments at all levels have failed to significantly improve them beyond the levels the colonialists or our founding fathers left them. We have simply failed to invest in the future of this great nation.

Freedom of speech and of the Press have constantly been threatened by successive, repressive and autocratic regimes, both in and out of uniform. Many journalists and citizens have over the years been threatened, detained, jailed and even killed for daring to expose the ineptitude of governments and their officials.

Also, over 80 million Nigerians are in bondage of extreme poverty, diseases, and umeployment and many more homeless or in refugee camps. Yet, the prices of essential goods such as electricity and petrol are being hiked by government with no social investment programmes in place to cushion the effects on the people. This is unacceptable at this time.

In spite of all these challenges, some little progress has been made. We have significantly grown in our population, and have led the rest of Africa out of the shackles of western imperialism and apartheid. For many years, our troops have been helping to keep the peace in many parts of the world, while millions of other citizens have been excelling and leading innovations in medicine, education, ICT, agriculture, commerce and industry within and outside the country. Indeed, we are still a nation of great potential and promise.

As we reflect on the significance of this day therefore, I call on government at state and federal levels to rise to the challenge of nation building. The current approach at tackling the challenges in security, power, economy, health, and education, among others is clearly not working. Both President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir Elrufa'i of Kaduna state should consider using this occasion to assemble competent Nigerians across tribe, religion and political and social divides to chart a new way out of these myriad of problems. It is no longer a choice, but a NECESSITY.

Fellow compatriots, I'm as worried as many of you are about the hopelessness that has characterised our existence as a people today but urge you never to give up. Let us continue to pray, unite and remain committed to keeping Nigeria ONE. With the right political leadership, Kaduna State and indeed Nigeria shall surely attain their full potentials.

Happy Independence Day Anniversary and may God bless our dear Kaduna State and nation Nigeria.

ONLY ENEMIES OF PDP THAT WOULD SEEK TO RUBBISH KADUNA STATE CONGRESS

September,26,2020

Why is it,that all of a sudden,we are witnessing Salvo's, from non member's of the PDP,as to do with the success of the state
Congress.Well,do we need a telescope, before we can decipher that, these are voice's of Esau, but hand's of Jacob.

Yes,because,it is only enemies of the PDP,that would seek to rubbish the state Congress that was just concluded a few day's ago,at the trade fair.the sacrosanct truth is that, those who wish to perpetuate crisis in the PDP and ensure that,it Doe's not have a solid leadership on the ground,to lead the rescue mission of capturing SIR KASHIM HOUSE, COME, 2023,are the one's behind the plethora of case's filed against, the conduct of the various Congresses of the party and they are indeed, the real enemies of internal party democracy and stability in the PDP.

So,how then, can someone convince me that a non Catholic can be holier than the Pope? DR DANFULANI, is not known to be a registered member of the PDP,so too,is the case with his twin twerk mate in subterfuge against the PDP and it's leader's across board, DAUDA ALBEHU GORA.

These pair,to my mind, must be sought out for by all PDP loyal faithfuls and marked as the APC Judases, seeking to put on the garb of PDP.how ever, they have been exposed for what they stand for and those whose interest they seek to represent.

So,never expect anything good from them about the PDP. the more,we make progress, the more we should expect their off the course snippets.the PDP Kaduna state has evolved beyond their warped imagination of an oracle or CZAR,the legitimacy of it's leader's and their victory at the Congress is well grounded in the massive endorsement of delegate's,who had the mandate of their various constituent's to make their choice.

That the state Congress commenced even before the Edo state election is not in doubt, how ever, the strict adherence to guideline's and transparency of the poll's turned out,to make the Congress, the most tedious party Congress ever held in the annals of democracy and the out come, especially,
with no single petition,from any
one of the
numerous contestant's,at the end of it all, speaks for itself.Do the
hired hand's,wish to portend that, the over 2000 delegate's at the
Congress, were been teleguided, from where and whom.

The divergence of opinion on candidate's,the very stiff competition, order
and smooth
conduct,is more than enough,to shame any irascible soul, that seeks to smear the integrity of the process.these hired and tired hand's,should better go and find some other vocation to do,the campaign of calumny on the PDP and it's leader's,is dead even before arrival.

We know and understand the Tantrum's of APC better than that and can easily read between the line's, they better look for another folder in the contract lot, these one's are stale and dumped.

The APC town crier is at it again.the sponsored irritant, whose professed membership of PDP is only in the social media,is as expected at his bit. what else, should one expect, after the most auspicious success recorded in the Congress.it has never so happened,
that key position's of secretary, women and youth leader, were so keenly contested, that no one was dead sure of which of the contestant would emerge before the casting and counting of ballot's, that is democracy. how ever, they would never be tired of alluding everything to an oracle and accomplices in Wadata Plaza.

We know,if you don't pummel MAKARFI or call him name's, your contract would have to be reviewed.Well keep on reeking out your Innuendo's,
PDP has moved
forward,contrary to your wish.

I make bold to say, nothing can vitiate our state Congress. the judiciary is for all,you and your pay master think you can pocket them or what,we heard him threatening to see to the dismissal of some people.he Lack's such power's.well let him continue his day dream as usual.

The game is up,the new found link of Tinubu/Nimasa DG,too, would not last.oh,yes, becaus
only fool's take on people seriously without digging in to their antecedents,
Jagaban is no fool and would not allow himself to be scammed.

There is no doubt, history was made on the Saturday, September,19th, to Monday, 21st of same instant, when we had,the most transparent state Congress, ever since the formation of PDP,in Kaduna state.

We know, who the real enemies of PDP in Kaduna state are, they don't believe in the people, choosing who to lead them, all they want is for position's in the various level's to be shared,as in another Berlin conference.

We say that in kudan, but forget not,Kudan is just one local government in Kaduna state, out of 23.why must some one, seek to have peace in his home front, but endure to foster havoc elsewhere? it is on record that, all major state actor's in Kaduna state PDP,took part in the last state Congress, except the lone ranger, who thinks a tree can make a forest.

The truth is that, every one is tired of all his court Tantrum's to twert internal democracy in the PDP.i shall in the fullness of time, unfold, the emerging but now aborted contract between Jagaban/Nimasa DG and it's evil intendment on PDP.

AHMED MAKARFI, would continue to be the nemesis of some,so long, they fail to trail the path of power devolving from the people, beauty of democracy.

2023 Kaduna guber: We are not afraid of APC moles in PDP-Hyet, State Chairman

…We don’t need moles to win election-APC Scribe

Against the backdrop of fear that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna State is allegedly sponsoring some moles in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to destabilize it ahead of 2023 governorship election, the newly reelected State chairman of PDP, Hassan Hyet said the major opposition party is not afraid of APC antics.

But the State Secretary of APC, Yahaya Baba Pate, while reacting to the issue of moles when contacted by our Correspondent said the party did not need to plant moles in PDP before defeating it at the polls.

“APC does not need to have moles in PDP to win election in Kaduna State. We are comfortable with formidable leadership.

“The APC government under the able leadership of governor Nasir El-rufai is doing well enough to win election any day, any time.

“Governor El-rufai’s performance in health sector, educational sector, infrastructural development, all spheres of governance is enough testimony to win election in the State”. Baba Pate said.

However, while fielding questions from Journalists shortly after he was inaugurated as the PDP State chairman, Hyet said, “You see the problem, APC will never stop sponsoring moles within PDP, but PDP is aware that APC is desperate, we know. We are also working out our own strategies to face the desperation of APC and send it back to APC owners”.

He also took a critical look at the security challenges in Kaduna State, saying, ” There has never been the greatest security challenges we ever witnessed in the State compared to Sharia crisis of the year 2000, but we overcome it because of all inclusive trust where you invited people of different cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds to sit down at a round table, and by the time people realised that there was genuine efforts by the government to lead them to enduring peace, the people bought in, but now you have a government that is segregating the people through unpalatable utterances in the highest order.

“Let the government come back to the people and sit down with them at a round table and you will see that peace
will return to the State”.

Speaking on his reelection and what he intended to do to appease aggrieved party members, Hyet said, “One, I appreciated the caretaker committee that stood for the party for six days, they were able to conduct local government election and state Congress in the midst of legal challenges, tensions and security challenges.

I dough my hat for them, I appreciate their sacrifices that took us more than two days to wrap up this state congress, and we really commended their efforts, we also commended the electoral committe, because there was harmony between the state and the caretaker commitee of kaduna state to conduct the congress election . We also commend the efforts of the security agencies to ensuring that there was no issue on the day of the election. So also, the INEC officials that went there from Saturday morning up to the early hours of Monday to witness every step that was taken.

“My position has been that we contested election, but after everything has been declared, all the house are winners ,so it is a win- win situation, there is no vanguish, no victor, all of them won. It means we all went into this contest because of our love for PDP, and we feel we can offer something.

“So we are all for this elections for PDP because we feel we can offer something. We want to assure that all those contested for whatever offices that we will put up the machineries for action whereby everybody will be involved in making sure that the PDP is moving from strength to strength.

“We call on my colleagues, from the local government to the state level for putting their trust, we must guard judiciously because the people of Kaduna state want us to come out to help them out, rescue them in these situations that have eaten the state and all of us.

“So whatever you think someone is doing, if God says it is yours, nothing can stop it.

My last statement was I pray that my collegues open their hearts to see , because criticism is an aspect of management and administration. If you don’t accept criticisim, you are most likely to fail, because it is what will assist you to move forward.

“We are going to local government election next week, we can not go with a divided house, all those who felt aggrieved, all those who went to court, we will continue to dialogue with these aggrieved people so that we move PDD forward, we are no longer divided”.

The PDP Chairman used the occasion to condole with the State government over the recent death of Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, saying, “My condolence on the demise of the late Shehu Idris, as a man of peace loving person, I had personal contact with him since 1994 when I was elected as the party chairman of local Government and his domain was extended up to Kachia, up to Zango Kataf. Then I know he is a man that was always on the move ensuring that there was peace in the land, there was justice in the land.

“He was a man that all time when I sorted to see him, he has never denied me this, and in the course of discussion, he will always say, ‘” Minister ,we want peace, Minister, we want peace.

I can never forget. May God grant him Aljannah, and also may God grant the people of Kaduna, starting with the Governor, his Government, and then going to the traditional council and the whole state.

We would keep on recalling all his virtues and then whoever will, take over from him, may God give him the strength to continue with the good works of the late Shehu Idris”.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

I have received with shock and sadness, but also with total submission to the will of Allah, news of the death of our father, His Highness Alhaji Shehu Idris, Emir of Zazzau and Chairman of Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, earlier today.

The late Emir of Zazzau was no doubt, a colossus the loss of whom has certainly created a vacuum, not only in Kaduna State, but the entire country, that will be difficult to fill. Not only was he a man and leader that was at peace with himself as he was with all that he interacted with, he lived peace and exuded it. To him, no sacrifice was too much make for the peace of his people and all.

During my time as Governor of Kaduna State between 1999 and 2007, I benefitted immensely from his wise and fatherly counsel, especially at those times that we were trying to navigate through turbulent waters. His contributions to deliberations at the Security Council meetings, at which he was almost always present and punctual, were always incisive, laden with wisdom and a genuine desire for peaceful coexistence amongst the people of the state.

In the late Alhaji Shehu Idris, Nigeria, nay humanity has lot a pillar, from the life and times of whom we should draw invaluable lessons in decency, respect for all, sacrifice and humility despite privileged background.

As I pray to Almighty Allah to forgive and grant him Jannatul Firdaus, I also convey my most heartfelt condolences to his family, the Zazzau Emirate Council, Kaduna State Council of Chiefs and the government and people of Kaduna State. I also pray to Allah (SWT) to grant us all, the fortitude to bear this loss.

Breaking: Trouble For Kaduna PDP if Ashafa Becomes PDP Chairman–Isa Rabiu.

September 17, 2020

"Ashafa is one, who, if elected in the party, will ignite a 'crisis' in Kaduna PDP", Isa Rabiu said.

“Ashafa won’t calm things down or manage the party in good shape,” Isa said. If Ashafa gets in, He’s going to be difficult for him without political experience from the core.

“He will be control by his sponsors rather than listening ears to the masses. So it’s not going to be calm in the party. They will take over the State, causing a crisis. You understand that. It’s going to be a disaster and the people of this state will not stand for that.”

According to Isa, funding for the 'crisis' is voting in Ashafa. Ashafa sponsors people that have no idea, and that if they ever succeeded, which it won’t, they would be thrown to the wolves like never before.”

On thursday, Isa accused Ashafa of further dividing the party by some social media sponsored posts rather than unifying PDP members at large in Kaduna state and also said those messages were sowing chaos rather than law and order.

Abuja-Kaduna train: NRC claims attack was hoodlums’ stoning not bandits’ bullets

September 15, 2020

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says bandits did not attack Abuja-Kaduna train KA4 between Asham and Kubwa on Monday afternoon.

The Managing Director, Fidet Okhiria, said this in a statement on Tuesday.

He claimed that hoodlums usually throw heavy stones at the moving train along Abuja-Kaduna route.

“There was no bandit attack on the train, it’s just a rumour. There will have been bullet all over the train if it was the case. It was hoodlums who threw stones at the train.”

He stated that the attack was because the Police earlier caught one suspect.

The MD said more hoodlums came out to attack the train in protest against the arrest made in the afternoon.

“NRC has, however, spoken to security agencies to help us prevent such future occurrences and intervene in the matter, so they will know how best to deal with the situation’” Okhiria noted.

He urged members of the public using the trains not to panic.

KADUNA PDP: SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT..... Hassan Felix Hyat

September 08, 2020

“It very pertinent to state here that, throughout this period in view, from 2016-2020, there were no court cases instituted by anybody in all the party primaries conducted".... HYAT.

“Under the watch of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, the votes for the PDP moved from over four hundred thousand in 2015 to above six hundred thousand and eight hundred thousand votes in 2019 during the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections respectively".

"We are also proud to say that, the Peoples Democratic Party can boast of six and nine members of both the National Assembly and Kaduna state House of Assembly, respectively".

Who then, dares questions our performance!
A surreptitious attempt by a group, desperate to destroy the Kaduna state Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, through sponsored articles and write-ups, to discredit, not just the elders of the party in the state, but also, the leadership at the national level has been uncovered.

In their desperation, this very desperate group commenced a campaign of calumny, both in the physical and the social media but fortunately, many have come to understand their modus operandi, simply aimed at satisfying their paymasters.

This is very sad and unfortunate.
While it will be wrong to dignify their bruised egos with a response, it is however, imperative that the records are set straight so that the average member of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party and the public do not end up being mislead or provided with falsehood.

In their attempt to misinform and mislead the members of our great party, they raised some issues which will receive responses that will adequately address every of their failed attempts to discredit, malign and denigrate persons whose loyalty and dedication to the PDP cannot be questioned.
In their quest to cause disaffection amongst members of the Kaduna state chapter of the PDP, this group of politicians have found willing partners in some foundation members of the PDP whose political relevance have witnessed a serious downturn and are therefore prepared to bring down the PDP if things do not go their way.

In causing disaffection within the party, these group carried their hate far into the National Secretariat of the party to include the person of the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus. Nevertheless, how far will they go in their clandestine activities, remains to be seen.

To some, it remains unclear as to why this group of persons have commenced on this voyage of political self-destruct but however, it is very pertinent to expose the antics of these desperate bunch as persons.

Therefore, sowing seeds of discord that is capable of dividing the party ahead of the 2023 general elections has become a task for them.
While it would have remained appropriate to ignore the comments of some of the members of this group, it is very imperative that the air around some of the allegations raised by the group and their sponsors.

In one of their sponsored articles, aimed at spreading falsehood against the personality of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, the immediate past state Chairman of the PDP who is seeking a re-election to the office, the issue of honour was brought to fore.
Responding to the issue, Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat has this to say; firstly, the writer of the said misleading publication retired prematurely from service.

The question therefore is why was this so? Where is his honour if, since he went on air that there were no congresses in 2016 but in the same vein, recognizes the fact that the tenure of the executives terminated in January 2020 and that the executives refused to vacate office.
For clarification purposes, it would suit him to know that Congresses held on the 10/05/2016 for a tenure of four years (4) and expired the 10/05/2020.

It is also pertinent to ask, why did his principal, who lost the gubernatorial primaries, fraudulently pick the senate ticket, which he had earlier rejected? Did he win? Did his Kaduna House of Assembly candidate win? Why meeting in the house of a governor who lost his ward even as a sitting governor? Why has he not resigned?

These are questions those who talk about honour should ask themselves and provide answers.

On the issue of disobedience of court processes, it is proper to stress that, there was no time that any court processes were ever disobeyed. The facts are there for all to see. Have they withdrawn their cases from the court as agreed?
To show their desperation and strong desire to spread falsehood, they hacked the telephone number of the State Public relations Officer to issue a “fake Congress notice which was further used to obtain a court injunction.

How deceitful can people go!
Have they, in their quest to turn things upside down ever followed the Constitution and Procedure of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for settling grievances before going to court? The answer is a capital NO.

I wish they can tell the public what they mean by R-APC and 40%. They just want allocation of 40% of the party’s structures yet, they are talking of Constitution/Guidelines.
Again, it is very important to ask; why are they afraid of going into contest?

Why is it that over 80% of the people in their camps are from the All Progressive Congress, APC and again, how did they leave the APC? The writer of the various misleading articles being circulated in the public, is he a registered member of the PDP and if so, which ward?

Lastly, there is the talk of performance. It is on record that, under the watch of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, the PDP won four (4) Chairmanship and over fifty-five (55) Councilor seats in the Local government elections of 2018.
We held very fair and credible party primaries, attested to both nationwide and within by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the security agencies.

It is also on record that, under the watch of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, during the 2015 general elections, the votes for the PDP moved from over four hundred thousand to above six hundred thousand and eight hundred thousand votes in 2019 during the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections respectively.
Again, it very pertinent to state here that, throughout this period in view, from 2016-2020, there were no court cases instituted by anybody in all the party primaries conducted.

We are also proud to say that, the Peoples Democratic Party can boast of six and nine members of both the National Assembly and Kaduna state House of Assembly, respectively.
Who then, dares questions our performance!

KADUNA STATE APC MOLE'S,SHEEP IN WOLVES SKIN,CLAIMING TO BE PDP MEMBERS-ISA RABIU

September,6,2020

The social media has been awashed with write up's sponsored by hired hand's of some drowning renowned merchantalistic politicians.

Well, ordinarily, silence might have been a viable option for their Tantrum's, save for the fact that in the characteristic style of the mother party, from which they egressed to PDP,reeling out innuendos and casting aspersions on esteemed leaders that are far not in the same sea of rummaging failure with them, have become a veritable part and parcel of their agenda, they tried it with Elrufai, Oyegun and Oshiomhole, it didn't work and now, they have embarked on similar mission in PDP.

The truth i, if there was one major mistake, the PDP in Kaduna state and the national made, is in allowing the riotous group by whatever name they call themselves in to the party.these frustrated element's, have always seen their own form of understanding of democracy,as my way only,or every one loose.

They fail to learn that power is domiciled with the people and not a few individual's as they always want the general public to so believe.please,in what way could have any one misread, the popularly acceptable Tenet's of democracy, Congresses to elect leader's,become a rape of the party,by no other person than the leader of the party in Nigeria,H.E,Prince Uche Secondus?

It is no news that the PDP in Kaduna state held it's ward Congresses in March,2020,the people,at the various wards, exercised their inalienable right to elect and or adopt leader's at this most crucial pedestal of democracy.

Yes as expected,no process, can be 100% perfect,as we witnessed with what happened in America year's back in the state of Florida in the us.

The ward Congresses which they are accusing every body of substance in the party,to have raped the party and or used it as an instrumentation of handing over the party to Tambuwal, Makarfi and Ashiru, successfully took place in no less than 225 Ward's,that is to say, 88%of the total number of Ward's in the state, without any qualm by any body.

There were issue's in 17,out of the Ward's,which were brought to the attention of the ward Congresses appeal's committee empanelled by the party, another proof of leadership transparency,by those at the helm's of affair's of the party.how ever, for people who already have a jaded understanding of democracy, the voice of the people must never count, but there's only must be up held.

It is even more strange,to note, that some of the most vitriolic critic's of the party and it's leadership, are not even registered member's of the party,Ala,Albehu Dauda Gora and imam Adamu imam, even after the party in it's magnanimity, gave them a second window of opportunity to do so.

What further evidence do we need, that, both they and their pay master's are on a contract mission with APC,to reign in havoc in Kaduna state PDP and thus create a soft landing for the continuity of another, next level of suffering for the good people of our state.

It is even more obvious that if,the 17 Ward's in which the party has already ordered for a repeat Congresses, we are but left with just about 5% of the total NO of Ward's in the state in real dispute,so how can 5%,be the cause of all the unrighteous insult's and denigration of character's of key leader's of the party, from national to the state,as they have whimsically done.

It is high time, the national body of our party, wield the big stick, expell the so called renegade members as a good majority of them have no foundation in the ward register of the PDP,so that peace, tranquility and unity can prevail in Kaduna state PDP and enable us concentrate on the arduous task of working the talk,to kick APC out of sir kashim house, which certainly, they are been paid to frustrate as evinced by their every action to foister a zamfara situation on the party in the state.

Their biggest undoing is that, that don't have the number's and as it is,always, darkness, shall only have a pyrrhic victory over light.those who forged the less than 5% ward Congresses result shall never sleep well.

The conspiracy by the hired hand's shall fail like the pack of card's that they are.

The seasonal politicians must note,Go and seek yes the people, democracy is all about making the people's choice count, neither the media nay court's shall give you that, so better stop deceiving yourself.

Only those who are enemies of the people and of democracy, can be so obsessed with their characteristic Shazam of democracy, little wonder, their major principal has always been trailed by controversy, where ever he dwell, either as a paid agent or constitute himself, as anethema to the will of the majority.

Your itinerant blame game on Secondus, Makarfi,Tambuwal and Ashiru, can never take you to any promise land, go and rejig your art of treacherous demoncrazy.

The PDP family in Kaduna State know who the desperado's are, yes, because, they are struggling to justify, the poisoned chalice of illicit money they have collected to execute a hatchet job in the PDP,for the benefit of the ruling APC,karma is a birch and they now see failure starring them and their sponsor's,koro koro, shame on them, never, not again,in PDP,it can't and shall never work.Kaduna State shall be liberated from the strange grip hold of the family and friend's as well as that of their co- conspirator's.

the Kaduna state PDP caretaker committee and it's bastion for peace, transparency and equity.

September,2,2020

in X raying the issue's that have dominated the social media space, I wish to start from the point of, what was the final prayer of the concerned elders committee to the NWC? that they should avail the state of a final list, which shall indisputably be accepted by them.. now, did the party oblige the CTC of such list.yes, is the answer.

how ever, in it's attempt, to ensure that everything possible is done,to peacefully rest the matter, it was agreed, that area's of contentions in the ward list,be re- visited, by the national vice chairman, north west zone and the CTC.

on Monday, 23rd, August, 2020, a meeting can convoked at the PDP state H/ QUARTER'S,with view to taking on the issue's, as so directed by the NWC.what, was the resolution of that meeting, the CTC, should resolve the matter by engaging all critical stakeholder's of the various wards,so affected, to authenticate the veracity of the out come of the Congresses report relayed in the list given to the CTC.

the CTC, did set up a sub committee, with the mandate, of advising it on the way forward on handling, the issue of the disputed list of executive's.the committee had,the following as member's,

1. DR John ayuba,

2. ALH Ahmed Abdu ( bebejin Zazzau),

3, HON Mariya Dogo

4, HON ALH Ashiru Abdullahi kurmin Bomo.

the sub committee, recommended that all Ward's that fall under contention, even, if OT is just a single position, out of the list of executive's, should be recused, from the local government Congresses.

the wisdom, behind the decision of the committee, is that, to give EVERY one, the maximum opportunity, possible, to make it's case for their respective claim immediately after the Congresses, in view of the NWC directive that the Congresses for L/ government's and state, should take place on the 26th and 28th instant of August, 2020.

further more, the subcommittee drew the attention of the CTC, to the PDP constitution of article, 18, sub section 6, which state's, that for a local government Congress to be valid, no less than at least, 1/3 RD of the delegate's, from a minimum of 2/3 RD, of the total number of Ward's in the local government, must partake in the Congresses.

this thus spewed up, the exclusion of 13 Ward's out of the 238, Ward's, that would have otherwise, given the exception of the 17 Ward's, whose Congresses were annulled by the Congresses appeal committee and thus had no elected delegate's to present in the local government Congresses.

the excluded Ward's in total in view of the 238, who had no issue's as transmuted by the appeal's committee, thus represent 5.5 % of the approved elected delegate's statewide and indeed on local government basis, as it relate to the 19 , that were fully cleared, in each instance, were less than even 1/4, talk less, of the 2/3 ward constitutional provision. the CTC, considered and approved the recommendation as presented to it. further more, it went ahead, to.

seek the approval of the NWC, of the PDP, before it effectually acted on the report. it is pertinent to state, that, the subcommittee CTC report, was adopted by all the, 10 member's of the CTC, that were present on the day, the report was considered.

so, we put it to the skeptic's, in which way, has the CTC failed to be fair, transparent and equitable to all in discharging it's mandate ? well, the truth, must be told, there are some people who are afraid of the lid been thrown off the bottom of their shenanigans, as they are not comfortable with the devil in the detail's approach taken by the CTC.

there is no dispute to the fact, that all action's of the CTC, from the meeting with the zonal chairman north west, up to receiving briefing from member's of the Congresses electoral committee, sent by the national, thenceforth, the micro zoning of Responsibility's, to cover the Congresses had the full participation of all member's of the CTC, without exception.

I therefore throw the challenge to elder BULUS JAMES and his ilk, to point out where, we had failed to either act as a team or failed to eschew transparency, equity and fairness in any singular action of ours as CTC Kaduna state PDP.

those member's who claimed to have been sidelined at any point of the process or act's of the CTC, where surely acting within the cocoon of their sponsor's, which is indeed contrary to the PLEFGE we all made from day one, that, we shall place the interest of PDP Kaduna state, above personal nay interest of our individual principal's, in the discharge of our assignment, at every foci.

the Kaduna state CTC, has not plunged itself in to any murky waters as been portrayed by those whose interest lack foundation in the Tenet's of democracy and we shall continue to remain resolute in our commitment to see that we are just and above board in the discharge of the task given to us, posterity shall bear us out.

What El-Rufai must learn from Makarfi ― Hon Magaji

AUGUST 21, 2020

A member representing Zagon Kataf / Jaba federal constituency of Kaduna State, Hon. Amos Magaji has lauded the stewardship of former governor of the state, Ahmed Makarfi for his politics of inclusion, saying the incumbent, Nasir El-Rufai has a lot to do in order to unite the northern and southern axis of the state.

Hon. Magaji who disclosed this in a chat with Vanguard also added that agitations in Southern Kaduna are partly fueled by the neglect of the zone in the scheme of things by El-Rufai since he became governor.

“The truth is that Makarfi was very sensitive to the needs of the people and he was not arrogant in his dealing with people. He listened to people very well. While he was governor, Makarfi discovered that there were some communities without chiefdoms and one of the things he did was the creation of new chiefdoms. The people were very happy.

“Many of the roads in Southern Kaduna today that people are still plying were done by Makarfi; so there was inclusion. Southern Kaduna people never felt left out whether they were right or wrong, whether they criticized him or not, Makarfi saw himself as the governor of the entire state. So I don’t think they needed to go and lobby before they got anything,” he said.

Faulting Governor El-Rufai’s governance style, the lawmaker came short of describing him as a sectional leader solely interested in the development of some parts of the state to the detriment of others.

“I can’t tell you that there is a road my local government that has been done in the past years. The only road currently being done in Zagon Kataf was initiated by the past administration. Recently I saw work done in Kachia and I think it is just within Kachia town. To be sincere, I have not seen much development in Southern Kaduna.

He also dismissed El-Rufai’s latest jibe at Southern Kaduna leaders whom he accused of looking for “brown envelopes”; thus fuelling the violent skirmishes that have characterized the zone for years.

“Governor El-Rufai did not give details of the people he feels are behind these killings. I don’t know how somebody from Southern Kaduna will now mastermind the killing of his own people. I am not saying people don’t do that but then the same way that the governor identified the people that killed and paid them (in the past), I think he should also identify the people that are killing their brothers and prosecute them if the assertions are right,” he added.
