op go and check ethnic, racial and tribalistic section, that's where your threads normally end up @ d dustbin.
Your post is addressed to another commenter, but I want to say that my anti-Iweala post up top is not motivated by tribalism. You can check my post history on Nairaland. When I referred to people supporting corrupt individuals, I wasn't just talking about NOI and those who may support her; I meant to say I am befuddled why anyone would throw their support behind any corrupt person because of some spurious ethnic affiliation.

no it first died when Nzeogwu-led igbo-officers coup brutally killed number one and number 3 citizens of this country but number 2 miraculously "escaped" thru basement. gosh I hate being drawn on these issues, I'm actually not concerned by what u wrote, I only think if we're gonna take sides, let's make sure we always ask "why" things happen. like "why is the rest of the country sidelining us when it comes to presidency despite that we got there first, and Ironsi too?" ifeajuna came to my Alma mater UI, the whole country adored him in his Olympic days, remember? ..until that coup. it started everything. then gowon came with a counter-coup(but that's the only thing igbo writers usually remember tho). don't always point fingers preaching same hate stories when u know u're grossly oblivious to the truth. this our generation have a task of bringing everyone even closer, to a round table, and deliberate heart-to-heart on how we can coexist without all these prejudice (I am still driven towards this and it MUST happen). I served in the east, truthfully things need to be better than it is but definitely not by listening to terrorists and "selfish saviours". this is 2016, if our fathers and grandparents tell us tales, let's ve ri fy....let's read..gosh I'm so pained.
This! It's a fact that the coup derailed this country towards a tragic and long-suffering course. And, I'm no (tribe) hater.

Fire away Mayor! Iweala is a lootocratic, incompetent ineffectual Buffon who supervised the stealing of billions of dollars! Funny how she was forming sick at the senate hearing trying to pretend and when called out, tried to lie her way around it!
Remember a couple of years ago when a reporter tried to interview her on the phone and she pretended the line was faulty and hung up, in an attempt to avoid answering tough questions? She's a deceitful, shameless and venal creature who will sell us out to her paymasters at the IMF. A picture of her getting a hug from some neocolonialist warms her cold dead heart more than a starving African getting something to eat.

I don't understand why Nigerians will support an overpaid overrated corrupt soulless creature simply because he or she is from their tribe. What is wrong with people? Wake up!

Agreed. The dude deserves whatever befalls this site. Did you see what he did to Aareonakakanfo's 300-page thread? Whether you like Aare or not, he did a great job and simply was not experienced enough with NL dirty tricks to know his thread would have been safer in the Culture or General section where another moderator first moved it. But what was ultimately done in order to wrest control from the OP was so unnecessary - - using Mynd to do his dirty work. Like Fayose like Mynd. Doggone Ekiti gangsters. grin

Christianity EtcRe: The Story Of Bilal Or Bilaal by isalegan2: 3:58am On Jan 11, 2016
Finding out Bilal is considered a Shia by some has led me to continue my small personal research about the reason for the enmity for Shias on the part of some Muslims. I don't get expressed feelings from Sunnis I talk to that they hate Shias but the "official" outlook seems to be unfavorable to them. I know there was a time even I wasn't sure what to think of them and almost got into a tiff with a wonderful Shia (who later became one of my most admired posters on NL) in Islam section. Just as I now also know better than to look unfavourably at NOI because many considered them inauthentic Muslims, innovative, etc.

So, what do you find is the reason for the mistreatment and oppression of Shias even in our dear country? I really commend for standing up to the whole world in this matter.

BTW, I noticed you mentioned Dr. Umar Abdullahi's work and some issues with his detractors. That was someone whose videos I had posted a few times in older posts and now have renewed interest in what he's been doing. Another person you might like is T. West of Afrisynergy; he did a lot during the persecution of Gaddafi and invasion of Lybia. I believe T. West/Afrisynergy had some problems with YouTube when they deleted his account in an attempt to silence him. But he succeeded in maintaining his channel.

I'd love people to take a look at this devil pat robinson, a protestant.
He claimed the haitian earthquake was caused by a pact the haitians made years ago with the devil to liberate themselves from the evil of slavery, which means, the haitian should not have liberated themselves from slavery, they should have lied down docile to be experimented with. And more in the video claiming to help Africans.

Devilish missionaries yesterday, they are much worse today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59NCduEhkBM

scholar8200, the video above answers all your questions.
Pat Robertson has always been a scumbag hypocrite. Similar to Jerry Falwell he supported South Africa when most people were opposing their apartheid policy.

Broda Gatiano, mo juba fun yin o. cool You really try with these NLers but our people are so blinded with colonial mentality. It takes a lot of heart and strength to push forward and not give up on them the way they throw insult and fight against their own mental liberation.

BTW, I have a follow up question about a previous discussion: I will go to the Bilal thread to ask it. Shukran!

One more thing, about King Leopold and the Belgian atrocities in Congo/Zaire, I believe that it was (my hero) Patrice Lumumba's strong independence day address in the presence of Leopold III's son, King Boudewijn in 1960 that sealed his faith as someone they were going to assassinate. The Belgians were angered by a Black man having the effrontery to speak so strongly in the presence of their hereditary king who was reported to be visibly offended. These people always thought of Africans as monkeys.
