PoliticsSenescent Tinubu Is Not Fit For Presidency by iSense247(op): 4:27pm On Nov 18, 2022
Since the former governor of Lagos State and Jagaban of Borgu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, began to pursue what he described as his “lifelong long ambition to become the president of Nigeria”, concerns have been raised about his health.

The unresolved controversies surrounding Tinubu’s age and academic history notwithstanding, he has meandered through the compromised Nigerian system to the point of becoming the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). While it was possible to cover up issues about age, academic history and qualifications, the issues of health or physical and mental fitness have been unyielding to cover-up.

Resolving these fitness queries has become the greatest challenge of the “Emi lo kan” presidential project; and it is so for obvious reasons arising from the experiences of the Nigerian citizenry over similar issues. The flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Jos, Plateau State was yet another opportunity for dramatic irony in that while Tinubu battled to prove that he was strong, his brain gave him out as an old man whose brains and body are weak from overuse by people who want to foist another pseudo presidency on Nigeria.

At this point, it is necessary to say that apart from the unresolved allegations of corruption and manipulation of nativity, the Jagaban is one excellent Nigerian leader who has distinguished himself in areas of political will and human capital development. Jagaban is noted for goading his aides to achieve greatness in various fields and leadership circles.

In fact, about 40% of the present crop of Southwest political elites are protégés of the Jagaban. For instance, the current Vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; the former governor of Osun State and serving Minister for Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola; the former governor of Lagos State and current Minister for works, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN); the former Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Chief Babatunde Fowler; among others passed through the tutelage of Tinubu.

It is on record that in some cases, Tinubu recommended most of them for the various elective or appointive offices they respectively occupy. When Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo, indicated interest in the 2023 Nigerian presidency and stuck to his guns till the APC presidential primaries, many labelled him an ingrate. However, Prof. Osinbajo was not an ingrate. Rather, he was a patriot who loved both his country and his political benefactor and had to run for the presidential primaries because he knew that his benefactor would not be strong enough to go through the rigours of both the campaigns and superintending a country that is in need of not just a visionary leader, but also a leader who has both the intellectual and physical capacity to monitor and supervise the implementation of policies and programmes of his administration.

These qualities, the VP knew, were insufficient in his benefactor, but not wanting to appear as denigrating his former principal and political godfather, Osinbajo offered himself in the hope that APC national delegates, nay Nigerians, would inform Tinubu through their votes in the primaries that the godfather needed rest more than the tasking APC presidential ticket and the Nigerian presidency. Even the APC National Chairman, Aliyu Adamu, had unvoiced reservations which compelled his stillborn stunt against the Jagaban at the eve of APC Convention.

Tinubu won the APC presidential ticket in spite of his cognitive and physical falters while addressing APC national delegates. The irony of Tinubu’s choreographed victory at the APC presidential primaries is that it was at the same APC Convention ground wherein Tinubu won the 2023 APC presidential ticket that he lost the 2023 presidential election!

It was at that convention from which Tinubu came tops that symptoms suspected to be of senescence which were probably hidden from Nigerians openly manifested. From the convention ground, challenges bothering on simple physical and cognitive fitness like appearance as a guest on a 30 minute live television interview programmes, standing on feet to interact with people et cetera have been thrown at the Jagaban by his fellow 2023 presidential candidates and by socio-political developments in Nigeria, but he avoided all.

Tinubu’s proclivity to honour invitations to interactive events by proxy turns off Nigerians who are not enjoying their experiences under their current leader who, due to health challenges, has allegedly been administering the country by proxy. Consequently, Nigerians who feel the impact of the collapsing Nigerian system are not disposed to voting for an apparently senescent presidential candidate who finds it difficult to hold the microphone, adjust his overflowing “agbada” raiment and to even remember the political platform on which he is contesting the Nigerian presidency.

Even when the mischievous managers of the good old Jagaban have refused to admit or inform him that he is actually unfit for the tasking presidential job he covets, Tinubu’s body and brains seem to have resolved to continue to raise the red flag for the Nigerian electorate to see. The Jos drama is just the beginning of things to come.

Politics2023: UI Don, CAN Caution Against Voting Candidates With Questionable Character by iSense247(op): 7:16pm On Nov 16, 2022
By Kehinde Olatunji (Lagos) and Rotimi Agboluaje (Ibadan)
A Criminologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Ibadan (UI), Dr. Oludayo Tade, has warned that Nigerians must be curious about the personalities that will vie for political posts in 2023.

A Criminologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Ibadan (UI), Dr. Oludayo Tade, has warned that Nigerians must be curious about the personalities that will vie for political posts in 2023, as some of them might be kidnappers that have amassed wealth from the collection of ransoms.

Tade said this at a security summit held at Iseyin, at the weekend, where community stakeholders converged to discuss the lingering cases of kidnapping in Nigeria, especially within and around the community.

The don, who spoke as a guest lecturer at the summit,” challenged the people of Iseyin and its environs to look inward for solutions, as those perpetrating evil acts live among them.

He, however, charged residents to collaborate with the security agents and give information about suspicious people and activities to nip crimes in the bud.

Besides, he advised people to stop what he called ‘social media showoff and also cooperate with neighbouring communities to avoid the movement of criminals flushed out of a particular community into another.

Meanwhile, representatives of the police, Directorate of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Amotekun Corps and Agro Rangers, who spoke as one at the summit, appealed for more support from the people of the community.

Similarly, the Chairman of, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State Chapter, Dr. S.T.V. Adegbite, yesterday, said that the country needs someone who could lead right and deliver dividends of democracy for all.

He also expressed optimism that God will take control of the country, stressing that Nigeria will not disintegrate but remain an indivisible entity.

Adegbite made the call at the ninth yearly general conference of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter.

He said: “We must pray and once we pray, God will answer our prayers.

“As Christians, we are not going to push for any candidate, as all the candidates belong to us but I can assure you that God is going to give us a man after His own heart.”

Earlier, the Chairman of the Organisation of African Instituted Church (OAIC), Senior Apostle Julius G. Opasola, commended the Lagos Chapter of the C&S Unification Church of Nigeria for its efforts at uniting the body of Christ while commending the church for extending a hand of fellowship to CAN and the OAIC.

He described the event as historic as it was the first time that OAIC will be represented at a programme organised by the Cherubim and Seraphim

“I want to acknowledge and greet the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the C&S for having the courage and boldness to see that the Church of God must be united by extending an invitation to CAN and OAIC in Lagos. I pray that God will continue to endow you and members of the executive with wisdom and understanding,” he said.

Speaking at the conference, with the theme, “Able God,” Special Apostle Adio expressed his elation at the event, which was his first since he assumed the leadership of the state’s chapter after several years of meritorious service at different levels.

He disclosed that the event would be a melting pot of ideas among eminent leaders and members of the church while enjoining participants to take advantage of the event to fraternise, conjugate and network among themselves and savour the ambience of the host church, the Love of Christ Generation Church pastored by the woman of God, Revd Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi.

PoliticsKeyamo Lied About Bola Tinubu’s Drug Related Asset Forfeiture - Reno Omokri by iSense247(op): 3:01pm On Nov 13, 2022
Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide and supporter of Atiku Abubakar, has accused Festus Keyamo of lying. Keyamo is the Spokesman of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign.

In an article he published on Instagram titled: “Incontrovertible Proof That Festus Keyamo Lied About Bola Tinubu’s Drug Related Asset Forfeiture,” Omokri, pointed out that on November 9, 2022, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo, appeared on Channels TV’s Politics Today and told the presenter, Seun Okinbaloye lies.

Incontrovertible Proof That Festus Keyamo Lied About Bola Tinubu’s Drug Related Asset Forfeiture.

Yesterday, November 9, 2022, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo, appeared on Channels TV’s Politics Today and told the presenter, Seun Okinbaloye that the monies Bola Tinubu forfeited to the US Government was just tax.
To show that Festus Keyamo is a liar whose words can’t be trusted, consider that whereas he told Seun the money Tinubu forfeited was tax, right there on paragraph 1 of the court document, it says the funds were forfeited pursuant to 21 u.s.c. section 881. That section of the US Code deals with DRUG MONEY!

The section of the US Code reads as follows:

The following shall be subject to forfeiture to the United States and no property right shall exist in them:

(6) All moneys, negotiable instruments, securities, or other things of value furnished or intended to be furnished by any person in exchange for a controlled substance or listed chemical in violation of this subchapter, all proceeds traceable to such an exchange, and all moneys, negotiable instruments, and securities used or intended to be used to facilitate any violation of this subchapter.

Please note that the words “controlled substance” refers to narcotics, or to put it simply, hard drugs, such as white heroin, which Bola Tinubu’s cartel was trafficking in.

And to show that Festus Keyamo lied to Seun, the account was opened in December of 1989, and frozen in January of 1992. The money in the account could not have generated enough revenue to attract a $460k tax bill in just 2 years. This was a forfeiture of DRUG MONEY. Pure and simple!

PoliticsTinubu Cannot Be Allowed To Become President Because He Has Links With Cartel by iSense247(op): 6:04pm On Nov 11, 2022
The PDP presidential campaign spokesman, Kola Ologbondiya called out Tinubu over his drug link.
The Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation has called out the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the campaign organisation, Nigeria cannot have a president linked to a drug cartel.

This comes after it was established that Tinubu forfeited $460,000 said to be drug money to the US government, ThisDay reported.

In a statement, one of the PDP presidential campaign spokesman, Kola Ologbondiya, said, “Our campaign maintains that Nigeria as a nation cannot afford to allow an individual with the remotest link to a drug cartel near the presidential Villa.

“We insist that the mention of Tinubu’s name in a crime bordering on drugs and consequent upon which some monies were forfeited, raises a moral question and issues of serious national security threat.”

Furthermore, Ologbondiyan asked: “How, for instance, will our nation cope with a president who will be consistently harassed, intimidated and blackmailed by a drug cartel?

“It is also disturbing that Tinubu’s handlers are running around an ocean of excuses from where they have been fetching what they believe will convince Nigerians.

“We ask; what business was Tinubu running that such a whopping sum of $460,000 would be deducted as tax from his account?”

The PDP presidential campaign spokesman said that it was easily deducible that the $460,000 removed from the account represented the illicit fund that accrued from the drug.

He further stated, “That accounts for the reason why no other sum was removed from the account contrary to argument from Tinubu’s minders that the amount represented a tax.

“If indeed, like Tinubu’s handlers have said, Tinubu ‘took responsibility’ for drugs money, it goes without saying that he must also take responsibility for the consequences of that action.”

PoliticsDele Momodu: Only Tinubu Could Appoint A ‘Certified Nuisance’ Like Festus Keyamo by iSense247(op): 9:42pm On Oct 25, 2022
Dele Momodu said that a “shameless Festus Keyamo” was one of those who had once wanted to “run Tinubu out of town” when there was an attempt to impeach him as Lagos governor.

I have just read Festus Keyamo’s response to my critique of the APC Manifesto of lies. I’m not surprised that all he could do was yell as usual without examining or practically addressing the content of my article. Unfortunately, he picked on a wrong customer.

Let me take a few minutes to educate this young friend of mine who has since become a shadow of his old self since he was offered an appointment, that makes him look so incompetent, by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Any self-respecting soul would have since resigned but Festus Keyamo was not at home the day shame came visiting. The Ministry in which he’s a mere figurehead is in total shambles and only a Bola Tinubu would have given the job of a spokesperson to such a certified nuisance.

What did Festus say I did wrong? He quoted copiously from an article I wrote about two years ago, which the Tinubu media teams have been using to campaign endlessly, because they have no stronger voice of their own. I’m indeed flattered.

There is no doubt that I love Tinubu the Man but I disagree vehemently with Tinubu the Politician. This is not the first time I will say it publicly. Since I now have the opportunity of presenting the bones of my disagreement with Tinubu, courtesy of Festus Keyamo, I will lay them bare.

Tinubu has declined in the last few years. I used to see him as a man of his people but no supposed generalissimo would ever abandon his people in the days of trouble and tribulation. None of the people around him could tell him the truth for pecuniary reasons.

He knows it himself but he desperately wants to be President of Nigeria, by fire by force, after he has lost most of his formidable foot soldiers, and now relying on outsiders to activate and actualize his lifelong ambition for him, which is his legitimate right. But Nigerians have the right to scrutinise his action plans.

When he was Governor, I supported him from the distance while he surrounded himself with some people who pretended to love him. When he was busy distributing land to journalists in Lagos, I refused to collect my papers because I love my freedom, the reason I was able to tell him truth regularly.

When he was to be impeached for some infractions, and many of his so-called loyalists were washing off their hands clean, like the Biblical Pontius Pilate, my very dear friend, Tokunbo Afikuyomi, stood by him like the Rock of Gibraltar. But how did he repay Tokunbo who took all the bullets? This shameless Festus Keyamo was one of those who wanted to run Tinubu out of town.

Nduka Obaigbena and I had to step in at some point before he could consider Tokunbo for anything. Tokunbo had wanted to be the Governor of Lagos State and Tinubu goaded him on and allowed him to waste his resources. It was when I got Chief Harry Akande to give Tokunbo the ANPP Governorship ticket for Lagos State that Tinubu suddenly realised he had offended his “suicide bomber!”

During his battle to stop Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki from becoming the Senate President, we all saw how the younger politician outsmarted him. I had warned him to leave the gentleman alone because no one should play God, but he went ahead until the gentleman floored him effortlessly During his egoistic battle against Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, I wrote an article asking him not to try it because their marriage was consummated in heaven. Somehow, he backtracked. In spite of him, Fashola continues to remain relevant in Nigerian politics.

Again, when he continued his tradition of “hire-and-fire” and started plotting against Governor Akinwumi Ambode, I buried my love for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to speak up against the injustice of removing a great technocrat who was doing well in Lagos. The President of Nigeria, the Vice President, the Governors’ Forum and many distinguished Nigerians begged him to no avail. He must have his way always. The same personalities are now the people he needs and wants to make him President. Nigeria is looking for a President, with compassion and competence, not an Emperor!

Tinubu is a man who loves to bait the Masquerade with a goat but will never release the rope. That’s why he kept losing his best friends like Musiliu Obanikoro, Ambode, Muiz Banire, Opeyemi Bamidele, Rauf Aregbesola, Fuad Oki, Yemi Osinbajo, Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya Babafemi Ojudu, Rahman Owokoniran, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, Aminu Tambuwal, Yakubu Dogara, Nasir El Rufai, Babachir Lawal, Rotimi Akeredolu, Kayode Fayemi, Aro Lambo, Adeseye Ogunlewe, Jimi Agbaje, Ibikunle Amosun, Femi Pedro, Gbenga Daniel, Kofo Akerele Bucknor, Remi Adikwu Bakare, Tunji Abayomi, Tokunbo Ajasin, Mulikat Akande, Chief Dapo Sarumi, Adeniran Ogunsanya Amos Akingba, Bolaji Akinyemi, Mojisola Akinfenwa, John Oyegun, Godwin Obaseki, Yinka Odumakin, Papa Ayo Adebanjo, Papa Abraham Adesanya, Dupe Adelaja, Toyin Fagbayi, Papa Olanihun Ajayi, Babafemi Ojudu, Prince Dipo Eludoyin, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who seems to be aloof to Tinubu’s campaign, and so many others, even if some of them have since reconciled due to political expediency.

Tinubu personally decimated the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, after enjoying their massive support when we came back from exile in 1998.

For me, his biggest sin is the fact that he went funereally quiet when APC became a totally hopeless case, just because he’s hoping to inherit Buhari’s structures.

Lastly, I hope he would have the energy to make himself available for a rigorous scrutiny of his Manifesto. He wants to renew what actually? He wants to turn Nigeria into another Lagos?

Many of those who love him genuinely know that the demystification process has started. They wished he had not subjected himself to this agony and anguish. But they can only say so in hushed whispers. Nigerians deserve better. I have been actively involved in politics.

I hope Keyamo does not delude himself that I cannot make my own choices. I certainly have, and done so openly boldly. Atiku Abubakar is my choice. He is not a pretender to the throne. He has pursued his dreams with grace, good comportment, self-discipline and uncommon equanimity.

Festus and his gang keep quoting a 2019 article that I wrote. They should go and frame my other writings too. As for that political neophyte called Keyamo, he still has a lot to learn while trying hard to be a lap-dog. He should be reminded that he is still a Minister of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, paid at tax-payer’s expense. He should learn to moderate his undue exuberance.

I could go on ad infinitum but let’s cool temper for now.
