There are certain breeds which need specialized handling and this one is one of them. If you aren't trained to manage them, you'll end up with situations like this.
Either that, or there was something wrong with the animals because dogs don't just turn in their owners for no reason. |

naptu2: Miss Nigeria is owned by Daily Times Group. It began in 1957. The winner of Miss Nigeria once participated in Miss Universe, but that ended in the 1970s.
Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria is owned by Silverbird Group. It began in 1986. The winner of MBGN once represented Nigeria in Miss Universe.
Then Silverbird began to create different titles. The person that won MBGN was also called MBGN Universe and that person participated in the Miss Universe Pageant, the first runner up was called MBGN World and that person participated in the Miss World Pageant, etc.
Then, last year or thereabouts, Silverbird created the Miss Universe Nigeria Pageant. That's the pageant that Chidimma Adetshina won. Okay. Now I understand |

GloriousGbola: this is free market economics. the price of crude has dropped, therefore the cost of refined products has also dropped
this is actually what happened in 2016 when buhari first attempted to end the subsidy - price of oil dropped very low [because saudi flooded the market to kill fracking]
there is no benevolent socialist altruism here. if price of oil rises, the price of pms will rise. So that is how they will be playing ping pong with the the prices? Crude that is being locally refined is also subject to international market forces? Is that how it is supposed to be? Am confused 😕😕😕 |

RealityKings1: Not exactly. It's like Nigerians are intellectually lazy or don't want to try things.
I applied for mine on the nis website and did it all by myself. I got a NPC birth certificate @ 10, 000 +3000 tips (13,000) Paid for 10 years on 64pages is 100,000+4000 (104,000)
So totaling 117,000
But if you ask some officers to help you with the application, for 64pages you'll be charged 150,000. For 34pages, you'll be charged 75,000 or so. The extra charges has its benefit sha Were you able to get the passport on time? |

abduleez1: ANORA.......8.9/10
A thrilling watch from start to finish. Didn't expect it to be this sexüally expl!c!t but it was refreshing.
It's a story about a forbidden love story between a strippér and a Russian oligarch's son. Really cool cinematography and lighting. Wildly funny and enjoyable. Rich writing and acting..... I loved the organic mixture of English and Russian in the movie. Fitted so perfectly between the characters interchanging between English and their ancestral Russian. The movie isn't really deep on delivering a message but more focused on personal journeys and wild adventure. It's a look into the lives of immigrants and séx workers. A richly put together piece of storytelling.
The sexual tension between Anora and Igor was well done and performed. Kudos to the writer-director Sean Baker.
There's a subplot of having all the money in the world won't buy you a woman's affection. Igor didn't do much except for a few gestures and still secured the kitty.
Mikey Madison surely has Hollywood's gaze firmly set on her. Arguably one of the best movies of the year and I can see the hype. I had mad fun watching this. Oyaskii gave this same movie 5/10. Na who we go come follow now? |

AmiableMosquito: its appalling and very unfortunate It goes to show that the government alone is not to blame for the sorry state of things. We Nigerians are also a big part of the problem because we actively work to sabotage efforts of the government to sanitize things. |

Gerrard59: I understand your annoyance with how OP crafted his post. However, the reality is that someone with an open mind who leaves Nigeria to live for a short period of time in developed countries or places where the system works would be angry with the state of Nigeria. Nevertheless, that is not necessarily a place to "curse" Nigeria, but ponder why our case is different. I say this because as much as Switzerland is highly developed, black people don't have an equivalent. Chinese do, so do the Japanese and Koreans. Even Arabs now do in the place of Dubai.
That should be the focal point: how come others have a functioning enclave of theirs, but we don't?
P.S. Enclave should have at least 5 million residents before someone mentions Botswana and Barbados to me. 🙄 Cold fact is us Nigerians are not ready for change because of their corrupt mindset. The day I realized just now undisciplined we are was when, some years back I started using BET buses to commute to work. When we are on the queue, people kept on looking for ways and means to jump the line , so half the time we spent there, people quarreled nonstop. To even maintain the line was a problem because people were always trying to disrupt the line. It was that period I realized we have a big problem in this country. These same people will carry this mindset of cutting corners into every sector of the economy and call it "smartness", and that's why things are just not working because us Nigerians work actively to sabotage the system for our own selfish benefits. The people in authority are too focused on primitive accumulation of wealth to the detriment of development. We can't be like Switzerland because we lack the discipline, foresight and selflessness to make things work as they should. |

booblacain: The judge that presided over that case and passed that judgment should be sentenced to death.
As for the governor Adeleke, rather than use this as only a means to score cheap political point, you should be looking into the kind of laws or loopholes in the law that will give a judge that kind of power to sentence someone to death over theft of a chicken. Except there is more to this case than we are being told, the root is what we should be cutting not the leaves. I was wondering if a human life was lost in the course of the theft because me I don't understand this kind of judgement. |
