You mean you are one of those less privileged ones who have never lived outside the communities of blacks hence your narrow perspective?! grin
Little wonder why Africa is what it is.

BS! BS!! BS!!!

My birth story no too long but then I must share it, myself and hubby was already contemplating on going one more time or make we kuku hang d both after our 2nd princess... We discussed Family planning but I kept procrastinating because of so many bad reviews and side effects I keep hearing and reading o. My baby girl was 9months when I found out AF don run leave me, Omo I vex for Hubby for days for getting me pregnant I even threatened to remove it o but d man sha bribe with little egunje , suya and a pack of Pepsi ( make una no mind me I like bribe small)...

1st trimester was hell as usual with plenty vomiting, food aversion, metallic taste bud etc, especially now with 2kids, a preschooler and a toddler.. with no help, hubby is always around on weekends, I managed myself and registered my baby in school at 1year 2months so d stress will reduce... 2nd trimester came and d vomiting didn't not stop but at least now I can eat , I registered for ANC at general hospital and everything was fine only low PVC of 28%. Keep pushing till 3rd trimester and d count down begins.... At 37weeks my tiredness was out of this world, I keep doing d little exercise I could den I took long unpaid leave from work,

At 39weeks exactly I took a leaf I heard works for induction o but In my own case na purging and vomiting d herb gave me, a day after taking d herb I had mild contractions that stopped after few hours. I went for ANC as usual on Monday @39weeks3days with little contractions as usual, complained to d doctor, he asked me to go back home come back incase I see any sign or it gets serious, I was a bit disappointed I wasn't checked or admitted.

Came back home, I trekked some of d distance den later went to pick the kids from school with bike instead of driving... I started feeling mild contractions Ard 5pm called hubby and inform him to prepare incase it gets serious, it got stronger Ard 6pm coming like 3mins apart by this time all I told hubby was to just leave everything he was doing and start coming home(imagine leaving Apapa to Badagry)... I manage to help my baby with her Assignments, fed and bathed them and but them to bed. By 6:40pm I called a friend to come stay with me still hoping hubby will meet up. Ard 7:30pm I called a nurse friend who checked me and said i was already 8cm dilated so there's no way I could make to where I registered which is like 45mins drive... I picked my things went to a midwife place d next street to mine(though have informed her ahead incase of emergency), got there 7:50pm and by 8:10pm we welcome our princess and we came home 11pm same-day.
Congratulations.

ProgrammingRe: My 200-day Data Analytics Journey (zero To Job Ready) by isokey: 9:35am On Feb 01, 2024
GreatKingg:
Hey, let me give you a tip that will go a long way to help you.

The best way to learn programming is to practice what you watch/learn on the video materials/recordings.... for example, you're currently learning Microsoft excel, as you watch the videos, practice hands-on as you watch. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to complete each video. What matters most is learning and retaining the knowledge. Practicing on your own as you watch helps you retain what you watched/learned. An 8-hour video might take you 24 hours to master, so far you are able to understand and recreate what you learned on your own. After each video recording, practice what you learnt hands-on without looking at the video.

When you get to the SQL aspect, download the SQL studio. That will help you get some hands-on. Same with PowerBI. Download the free version and do a lot of practice.... do some assignments and projects.... this will go a long way to help you during interviews.

Note, you have to dedicate enough time for this. SQL PowerBI, and Excel are the most important skill for a data analyst. SAS is also in high demand now. R and Python are extras... You can add python to make you dynamic. Data modeling is also important.

If necessary, whenever you feel you are ready, let me know. I can help with some assignments and projects, and also some interview tips..
I love this thread. I am currently on Excel. Thanks for your contributions.
Kindly help with links to assignments and projects for practice.

Parenting in this age and time is not a walk in the park, even with both spouses involved. So many things to imbibe and teach our children before they are finally launched into the world. Parents need to top up their game and even early enough. Our value system needs to be revamped totally, otherwise issues like this is just getting to begin. Parenting begin with You(the parent).
FamilyRe: How Do I Instill Boldness And Confidence In My Daughters? by isokey: 5:23pm On Apr 30, 2021
Hemanwel:
Good morning dear nairalanders!

I have two daughters: one will be 3 years old later in the year and the other will be 1 next month. I noticed that my first daughter is too timid. She gets easily frightened by her peers. She is quiet. She will allow just anybody to carry her - even those whom she is older and bigger than - without any resistance.

I really don't like these attributes about her. I want her to have the boldness to resist some of these things. I want her to be aggressive. I want her to grow up having confidence in doing things her way.
I also wish to instill that in the second child. Thank you!
I admire your concern. Please search for 'The Intentional Parent' by Wendy Ologe on Facebook and follow through. It will help a great deal. Wishing you a happy and intentional parenting.

What if the man is stingyhuh She is either a shameless beggar or situations pushed her to it. Some men earn well, but wouldnt give their wife a dime even when he knows she's in dire need of it. What would u say of such men?
No matter her moral values, she will be tempted to drop her standards at some point and beg.

FamilyRe: My Mom Rejects Every Woman I Introduce To Her by isokey: 9:34am On Oct 03, 2019
Uhmmm...my advise is for hauwa...please think it through and through at this point before taking a step further. Even if you eventually made up your mind to marry Mr Op, be careful not to be put in the family way. Never underestimate what a manipulative and domineering person can do and the way they get it done. It will be your obligation to respect her irrespective of what she says or does without losing your self respect and esteem. Pray and be patient about it. Wish u the best sis.

She should have just walked away at that moment and seek separation honourably. Some Mils are evil, believing the DIL should swallow every nonsense hook, line and sinker and still be sane. Perhaps the husband sef is not helping matter
EducationRe: Early Signs Your Child Might Be Getting Bullied At School by isokey:
This is a very sensitive topic that both teachers and parents needs to properly educate their pupils and children. From the comments so far it's evident no parent wants their child bullied and parents whose children bully other kids don't want them disciplined. Parents should warn their children against bullying others and as well encourage them to report any bully case
RomanceRe: Wife Exposes Nude Photos A Woman Keeps Sending To Her Husband by isokey: 7:06pm On Nov 28, 2018
SolutionMee:
cheesy

What a succulent boobs from the side chick. Women like this can be very dangerous to marry. Why exposing the hidden doings of your husband in public? Is he no longer the head of the family? Is he not the major income-earner of the household? Is he not erotically romantic? Is he not satisfying you amatorially? Is he not paying due bills at home? Is he not taking responsibility of the children? Is he not safekeeping the future of your marriage? Is he not man enough?

If the answers to the above questions are mostly yes, that shows that this woman is too greedy and can never be satisfied. Good women are known for being discreet and by keeping the wrongs of their husband from the public domain.
What is the this one saying? Anyways, we know your type.

It doesn't end there as parents should also be careful the kind of objects children play with and even friends at school. Educating our kids is of high importance.

Please one of ds testicle is bigger than the other has anyone experienced this? He's 7 weeks old
Mama do not worry too much about this. I also noticed it in my son's testicle at around 2months, I was so worried and scared. I went to the hospital, did a scan and its was confirmed to be hydrocele... We were told it will gradually reduce and return to normal before he's six months. And so it did, no drugs at all. You can do a scan test be double sure. No cause for alarm.
