I don't understand this red card decision. Same thing yesterday when Nottingham Forest got a red against Manutd. Did they change the rules again? |

James

Like who born you well to collect the ball from James after a 1-2? Ball must enter that box
Early days, but Gusto is no James. And if the ball does not enter the box, no way it ends in the hand of the Luton player |

Capaldi: Am really hoping this Caicedo is not another scam from Brighton. He looks like a lost sheep, Just standing there and not wanting to receive the ball. Standing behind opponents so Chelsea defenders cannot pass to him. Seems to me that Luton is deliberately cutting passing lanes to him when we are building from the back. |

monerozi5590: Wow. This is a very good breakdown. This shows Nigerians are very hardworking. The major concern is underemployment.
Most of us are underemployed. Working poor, not seeing good return on investment in our education. Working below our economic need and all.
Most people will like to work for more than 5/ 6 hours a week but can't because the job ain't available. We all need money, most people will take any job regardless ( major cut in pay) , far below their potential and skills.
Looking at the informal sector and self employed of that statistics somehow paint a true reflection of things in Nigeria.
Is like a rat race. Most of us are living from paycheck to paycheck. Hopefully, things will get better someday. Loan to loan actually. I have lost count of the number of people I know who have moved their salary account to GTB just so they can access the one year and salary advance loan. |

donjazzet: Well, for better context of this issue for me. 2017 was when I started earning for the first time in my life (salary wise) and my parents kinda gave me a very soft landing.
And I became a gambler who liked betting. And I was actually winning! And I think it was nihilist funny enough had always advised me to always use low odds. And I did, I was a fairly high staker, 10k, 15k 20k with low odds like 5-10. And I will mostly post them here. I think my posts were what ignited the debates about gambling on the thread at that time.
Here are some of them then. You can see the amounts staked and then the balance in my bet accounts then. https://www.nairaland.com/3585296/football-other-sports-betting-season/20#53027813
https://www.nairaland.com/3585296/football-other-sports-betting-season/1035#55573421
Now, when you see these , you take note that I was wildly inexperienced with money, in terms of how to spend it judiciously, so in my eyes gambling was very lucrative, partly because I was winning and partly because I wasn't really feeling the effects of losing that initial money because again, (parents soft landing) renting house for me then and giving me their other car). But Dayo consistently did advice me whenever I post those "winnings", that I really should try and stop. Others would hyping me and praising the winnings, while he would advice caution! Caution! Whatever you think you are making now, you would lose it later. Take your winnings now and leave.
And it wasn't until 2 years later when I found myself knee-deep in debt and gross financial ineptitude because of gambling that I realised what he had been telling me consistently.
Now I went from this post here made in 2017
And this;
To this; 3 years later.
They say experience is the best teacher but dayo did actually help. My experience is extremely similar to yours except that mine lasted about 6-8 months. The deal breaker for me was that I could barely concentrate on anything. Even in church, I'm refreshing livescores. I had nothing else to think of. Just forecast and play bet. I knew I couldn't continue living my life like that. And it wasn't like I was always winning. It was a consistent cycle of wins and losses. Na so I say bye bye to betting. Never again |

Car Talk › Re: What Car Can I Get With A Budget Of 5m Max by Itsrm(m): 9:01pm On Aug 22, 2023 |
Registerforumj: Good evening. I’m about to get my first car and every useful advice will be appreciated. I’m an introvert hence I don’t have friends to consult.
Factors to consider:
I live in abuja and stay in town, the probability of me driving to an untareed road is low
My work requires me to move around alot within the city centre. (Sometimes my daily Uber fare ranges between 20-30k since the fuel hike)
I’ll be leaving the country in 2yrs time, hence I need the car for just 2yrs, I’ll most likely not sell it then.
I want something reliable, BUT FANCY
I want a car with low fuel consumption.
I hate cars with fabric seats
I was using a 2012 sonata and I Loved it, however it was an official car and maintenance cost was on the company, I would love to buy sane car, but nairaland review is scary.
I’m considering 2014 Elantra or Sonata…. But I keep hearing they’re not reliable.
Based on the above points what’s the best car you would advice I get.
Ps: THE BUDGET IS 5m Look for a Naija used 2013+ Honda Accord. Should fit right into your budget. |

Emaprince: From the story, the man suppose dey humble due to lack of job and income. You can't be beating the same woman that is feeding you.
Women reason with their emotion...so at the height of her pains and anger after collecting punches, she needed to pay back by locking him up. It is after the whole dust settles, that she will start regretting locking him up...
Honestly, I wonder what makes an able bodied man start punching a woman...worst is a man that is being fed by same woman. I always tell men. If you lose your job and stay at home all day, the least you can do is take care of the house, the kids and even cook before your wife comes back from work. But our men for obvious reasons no dey ever gree. They still want the poor woman after working all day to cook for them, take care of the kids, wake up early, prepare the kids for school, cook for them while they sit down at home all day doing nothing. |

Kids are kids, that's a different story. I'm talking of an adult deliberately damaging my property. It is better to nip unhinged behavior in the bud. If Christian Obumseli did that he would still be alive today Fair enough The important part is not to even marry any woman with propensity for violence. Men should shine their eyes very well. These things don't just start after marriage. |

A40: If my wife spoil my laptop or console I fit lock am up. Shebi na so Andre Rison look till Left Eye burn him house. And you don't think its even more motivation for her to continue spoiling it when you have issues with her. Like, whats the worst you can do? Lock her up. This kind of carrot and stick approach in my opinion does not work on adults. And I'm curious, what if your kids spoil your Laptop/Console? Will you lock them up? |

It's better to walk out of the marriage cos anytime matter don dey reach locking up in cell or calling cops on each other, then its better you separate and go your different ways
