Okortor: Calm down, it's no big deal, do add a screenshot of the debit received for proper guidance as regards, however;
They haven't been any approval or implementation by the Apex bank (CBN) which gives any Bank of financial institution the right to debit anyone's Account with another bank.
The issue I see here is, your cheque with first bank was tendered as a collateral measure to access a loan in form of you being a guarantor which only by that, can any financial institution tender such cheque in a case of clients loan default. And if your account wasn't funded as at that time, it would have been a bounce cheque (dud cheque) which is equivalent to a criminal offense.
So have a rethink who you dropped your cheque with and confirm from your cheque leaflet and if that be the case, much money can never be reversed nor returned by the bank! There is. Stop spreading false information |

When you hear things like subsidy on fuel should not be removed, subsidy on education should not be removed, etc and the explanation is that the politicians will steal the saved money anyway, it is an unwitting agreement: You politicians keep your embezzled funds, we the people will keep our subsidized goods and services. The leaders agree to subsidize a myriad of products and ventures for the people while the people agree to look away while the leaders siphon the nation's funds. BlueRayDick: The truth is: Prior to this japa wave, schooling abroad was mostly an elitist thing. Most times it's the children of the decision makers that were schooling abroad and their parents who are decision makers in this country allowed the subsidizing dollars for those schooling abroad to remain as long as possible. All Buhari's children schooled abroad (Even when he was doing photo ops using sachet milo to drink tea), Saraki the former senate president schooled abroad, Seyi Tinubu schooled abroad, be it APC or PDP ; most of their kids were schooling abroad.
So they made sure sourcing subsidized dollar continued as long as it made paying their ward's fees abroad easy. That's why they are never bothered when ASUU complain the government is not funding our Universities well enough. It is only now when so many people in the middle class have keyed into it that it's dawning on them that the whole thing is not sutainable any longer Interesting angle. |

Emaprince: Omo, but this unification dey bite hard for students abroad. I was reading an article about this and many students who left their school fees in Naira can't even afford to pay their tuition fee cos they have to look for double the initial amount they had in account.
However, the unification still isn't exactly going as it should. On the I$E window, it closed at $742 on tuesday, but aboki was still selling at over $800 as at yesterday. How does that support the unification when the actual price on the streets is still different from the official price? This one has never made sense to me. Why was the government giving out scarce dollar at a reduced rate to pay school fees? If you must school abroad, go look for the dollar yourself. The money wasted subsidising dollar for them would have been used to put our own universities in a better shape. |

You are driving 100kms daily. Even if your vehicle does 10km/litre, you will spend more than 6k on fuel daily, 120k a month and 1.2m a year assuming you only go to work 5 days a week. If you add 500k or even 1m to your current rent, it should be enough to get a place close to your office. That MPG are for such trucks. Even a land cruiser does slightly better than that. What we need to know is his average MPH in town. I believe honda vehicles have this information in their trip meter. Without it, there's no way of knowing if 10mpg is okay or not. |
