Android17: You are not answering the question. I know an Atiku/Peter Obi partnership would have defeated Tinubu but Atiku without Peter Obi could not as we saw. My question to you is, do you really believe Nyesom Wike on a ticket would have defeated Tinubu? I already answered you. Wike is an overkill. A cone would have defeated BAT |

afrodoc2: A Northern cone would have defeated Tinubu. Not sure about a southern cone. South or North, I don't see how Tinubu would have won that election. The division in the PDP played right into his hands. |

Theflint1: The dynamics of every election change according to the persons running. PDP zoning to a Southerner again might have essentially made the party become a Southern party, and one can't say how the North would have reacted to that, but suggesting Wike would win a national election sounds very very funny sha. What options do they have if both leading parties had presented a Southern candidate? A cone would have won the election if PDP was united. Wike is an overkill. |

GloriousGbola: PDP na money for hand back for ground party. Look at the way they readmitted the people that knifed the part in 2015.atiku and Saraki. And instantly gave Atiku presidential ticket. Meanwhile those who stood by when things were tough dey do siddon look.
Let this court case end and Atiku will again abandon the party and return to Dubai, leaving them to pick the pieces. And when he comes back in 2027, they will hand over the ticket to him again. PDP is a useless party |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 1:00pm On Jul 22, 2023 |
Theflint1: How did Atiku backstab Wike?
The whole talk of power must come South didn't come up in the buildup to the primaries when Wike assumed he was sure of winning. In fact, Wike confident he was on his way to winning, said openly that he'd support whoever else won for the parties interest, only for Tambuwal to mess up his calculations last minute by telling his delegates to vote Atiku, thereby taking Atiku over the finish line just slightly.
Wike didn't remember Southern presidency when he was lobbying to be vice to Atiku , was until it became clear Atiku didn't want him as vice that he remembered that Southern presidency was important.
While I understand Wike had valid reasons to feel entitled to presidency in the party, since he had been the one carrying the party through some of it's toughest periods, but I don't see how Atiku winning the party primaries was him betraying Wike. People have in time past sponsored the PDP and APC financially and they didn't fork the party over when things didn't go their way.
And as regards Peter Obi, I don't think it was Atiku insisting on running that pushed him out...not at all, this was someone he ran with only 4 years ago, so what's wrong in giving it another go?
What pushed Peter Obi out was the governors insisting that vice must come from among one of them in order for Atiku to get their support, effectively making it impossible for Atiku to run with Peter Obi. Peter Obi seeing he wasn't going to be running with Atiku, and imagine no communication from the party on how things would go from here on, there was no communication on, decided to test his popularity outside the PDP.
The combination of Obi leaving the PDP, and the G5 was too much for the Atiku candidacy, and that's why he lost. He'd have had a fairly comfortable victory if either of those two things weren't playing out same time. The ticket was meant to be zoned to the South. Atiku in his usual sneaky and desperate move quickly rushed to buy the ticket in connivance with the leadership of the party. When the issue of zoning finally came up, they said people had bought forms and that it should be thrown open. That was the genesis of the whole problem. Atiku was responsible for all of PDPs misfortune in the last election. He was not meant to contest the primaries in the first place. As events finally showed, they didn't even need Atiku in the first place. If they were united, anyone from the South would have defeated BAT. |

Fueling and maintenance of Volvo no be joke, let’s be realistic! 8.4km/l for the volvo versus 10km/l for the average corolla. If you cover 200km a week, a corolla will use 12k fuel and the volvo will use 14k fuel. I have not even compared it with other 4cyl cars with bigger engines This difference of 2k fuel a week is why you think the dealer should sell his car like he stole it. Pearl1910: Lolz...which one u dey talk 2018 2018? Is it 2018 that he bought his dollars? Abi don't u know how much dollars was in 2018? Convert from that time na. Any other investment u do, u will still convert it to naira to spend.
The LCM of all this is it's better he saved his money in dollars rather than naira. Alot of people save in naira and it's not foolishness like u r trying to make it look. At least u will still have your money in your account anytime u need it. The money he has made is passive income as he didn't lift a finger or make any trading to achieve it. it shouldn't be compared with trading or buying assets with the money. The problem with you is that you don't read to understand. You read to argue. Example 1. Someone asked me what business he would have done to generate more than 500k in 6 weeks, I responded only for you to say they are not passive investments. You didn't read to understand 2. I have consistently said a lot of stocks have returned more money within the last 6 weeks around the same time he bought the dollars. You say I keep mentioning 2018. Again, you did not read to understand. Stocks, real estate, buying dollars are all passive investments. I can't even believe we are debating this. The summary of the whole thing is that, he has kept up with inflation which is not a bad thing but he has not made money. And saving money in the bank is foolishness. If you do it then you're foolish. I have no apologies. The only money you should have in the bank is what you use for your day to day expenses. Keep spare funds in mutual funds for rainy days. Most Mutual funds pay within 24 hours. Mansard used to pay within one hour until recently. If you must quote me, I plead with you to at least understand what you're responding to. |

GeneralZodd: You are very wrong on this one. Your analysis is false. Using a car as yardstick and parameters to measure inflation in Dollar in correlation with Naira is a very big mistake. Everybody knows that auto trade is heavily depended on foreign exchange, but that's not where i will channel my money to when I eventually sell off. I dey go to put my money into real estate. That's another sure banker any investor can rely on.
Money saved in Dollar and Naira can never be the same interms of inflation. Lai Lai !!! The difference is clear. Person put #4.2 million naira for bank come get #500k in less than 2 months is better than some one who put such amount in Naira account. I am 500k richer now.
Mind you if I decide to convert the money into naira now now. I can buy what 4.2 million couldn't buy before because I have extra 500k on it. The ripple effect of inflation take time to affect all sector of economy I'm not wrong. Someone who bought a land for 1.9m in 2018 if in a strategic location can sell it much higher than 4.2m today. However you look at it, whatever product you decide to use as an example, you arrive at the same result. How much was a plot of land selling in your area in 2018? How much is it now? Again, only idiots put money in bank accounts. I don't know why you guys keep bringing that up as if its evidence of anything. I'm not asking you not to buy dollar and keep, I'm just letting you know you're not actually making money if you have to convert it to naira to spend. The money you think you have made is just paper money. All you did is keep up with inflation End of discussion |

It's still a better way to keep your money if the exchange rate will keep going up. Wrong. Keeping money in naira denominated assets is not the same as keeping naira in the bank. Of course, only an idiot will keep money in the bank in today's Nigeria. I hardly have any serious money in cash just lying around in the bank. Once you make money, tie it down with something that can either keep up with inflation or beat it. I'm just letting him realise he's not actually making as much money as he thinks he is. |

GeneralZodd: Yeah bro . I saw the future alot of people doubted it on this platform. There is an African proverb that goes: “What an old man can see sitting down, the young chaps cannot see standing up.” .
Investment of $5,700 has given me #500,000 naira profit in 1month and few weeks without sweating and working for it. Mega passive income.
No bank or Ponzi scheme can give such interest. Thank God I sticked to my decision. Alot of peeps here wanted to discourage me, but I remained adamant and resolute. This only makes sense if you'll eventually spend the foreign currency you're keeping. Make the mistake of converting it to naira to spend and inflation has eaten up all your "gains". E.g, If you had converted 1.9m to dollar and kept in a domiciliary account in 2018 when it was 360 naira to a dollar, you convert it at 800 today and make 4.2m naira, the only thing it will buy is the same 2005 foreign used corolla it would have bought in 2018. The best you'll do is keep up with inflation. You're not making any money in actual terms. |
