The bolded isn't true at all. Ronaldo has given his all to football and he deserves the world cup too. E sure me die say if the final was Portugal Vs Afghanistan, all Barca fans and Ronaldo haters will be supporting Afghanistan to win because of banter.
Those who do not want Messi to win are still lovers of football but banter code must be protected. If Messi wins, it'll almost be impossible to troll him. E no too hard!
If Ronaldo was in the final, I would have supported him to win.
Kaycee54321: I detest the game of politics and particularly HATE the Nigerian flavour of the game, hence, I try to ignore political discourse.
The bolded, however, is on point.
Wike, is the kind of person that would have made me step out to vote. A no-nonsense, I-no-send-your-papa type of man is particularly what this volatile nation needs.
Not all the shameless pretence & lobbying going on nowadays.
All those bandits, terrorists and UGM for hear am.
Messi has given it all for football and we are all fortunate to have witnessed this one in a life time genius. A world cup trophy is the least he deserves. Anyone who loves football and has watched Messi throughout his career will want him to win it.
If it ever have a counterfeit, it would be very difficult to notice.
The new notes will need some getting used to. My wife brought a 1k note for me, I just threw it on the fridge. She asked me this night if I have spent it, I didn't even remember she gave it to me.
DissTroy: I never said anything about Obi while he was governor and I've been active on Nairaland since 2014 so how can you prove my stance about him even then?
For every 200 Nairalanders (pre-2014) I showcase who are Obi supporters now, you have to select at least 50 or 60 amongst them who stated anything negative about him then? Deal? Let's play.
No deal. I have never said anything about Ugwuanyi even though I know he's a failure. If tomorrow I start supporting him for president, is my lack of criticism when he was Governor evidence he performed well?
The ideal thing to do is to sample random opinions of people about him when he was Governor. If he was that good a governor, it should be very easy for you to do.
Please go through this article. It was written in 2009. Peter Obi laid bare
For a long time, I believed the words that came out of his mouth. I was convinced that he was a different kind of politician.
While most of our political actors often argue that the end justifies the means, Peter Obi always insists that, “when the premise of an argument is wrong, the conclusion is also wrong.” While Nigerian politicians believe in a ‘do-or-die’ approach to politics, Peter Obi repeatedly states a new premise. “The society we abuse today,” he says, “will take its revenge on our children.”
Little did I know that it was all talk. Yawa
Politicians like Obi who love to carry themselves as if they are squeaky-clean but do not want to come clean when asked by their constituents may reconsider coming abroad to parade themselves. Not everyone abroad wants to buy a home for them. Some have higher expectations. Some of us want them to simply explain the basic. If they cannot, maybe they should sit tight at home where people clap for them for paying teachers their salaries; not spending money to solve people’s problems; and for personally changing the oil in all of Anambra state government cars.
More than once, I heard Peter Obi say he would not be running for re-election and that the next title he would have was ex-governor. Unfortunately, Obi is running for re-election.
DissTroy: Yes, because a few posts criticising Obi as Governor from years ago translates to "a lot" or "most people".
How come on this thread you've been able to dig up a post of Obi supporter criticising him in the past but haven't been able to dig up mine or others on this same thread?
1/20 of Obi supporters on this thread equals " a lot of" or "most of"?
Let's begin trails for corruption and embezzlement. That's a real debate.
Few posts? Lmao
Bring 5 posts belonging to different people who said any good thing about Obi when he was Governor and I will bring out 20 who said he was a failure.
nihilistjnr: A lot of current Obi fans have been exposed to be cussing the man out during his tenure.
That's literally the reason I could not possibly bring myself to vote for Obi, even if I was voting.
When you see someone campaigning for Obi based on competence, and then you check their history and see them swearing for the man during his tenure as Governor, then you have to question the reason why such blatant whitewashing is happening.
Just look at this thread exposing the industrial grade whitewashing of Saint Obi, first of his name
izzou: A video of Obi entering into an agreement with the G5 governors, of which one is an acclaimed chronic thief, corrupt entity, cheif embezzler and enabler of corruption
Donjazet2: I don't know why I find this post funny. You say you don't like Obi because he tries Soo hard to project simplicity..
Imagine a world where a reason for not voting a politician is because he tries to project an image of simplicity and humility. Something he has done since he ascended public office. Mr man when it comes to Obi, his number one selling point is his prudence with public funds.
Your whole point is now rendered almost foolish when you declare that the person you want is an acclaimed chronic thief, corrupt entity, cheif embezzler and enabler of corruption.
Same as Obi the thief who was caught transporting 250m naira raw cash.
Like someone else noted, only God knows how many more he moved that were not caught.
So Obi will appoint better judges, better ministers but he cannot even appoint a better campaign DG. You have a brain, I sometimes wonder why you don't use it once it comes to Obi.
You want to vote him, goodluck. I will not. You can cry till eternity, your tears won't change my choice
WhoDeyHause: I wish osinbajo or wike was on the ballot they have their own flaws too but they seem better equiped than any of these candidates we are presented with. With atiku 's presence in the north Im honestly afraid he will win. If it doesn't win the next is tinubu in terms of win probability. The future just looks bleaker and bleaker.
Its annoying. In a country of 200m people, see the three frontline candidates.
If Atiku wins, the level of theft will be unprecedented. When last did you see SDM flaunt cars on social media? These are people who are bold enough to steal your money and rub it on your face.
I have answered already. I don't think any of the frontline candidates will make any significant impact. I don't think one is less harmful than the other. They all have issues I'm not willing to overlook.
Tinubu has his health issues to deal with neither do I think he has the mental capacity to rule the nation.
Atiku is a desperate thief. He's the only presidential aspirant who hardly ever talks about corruption. The less said about him, the better.
My main issue with Obi is the way he tries so hard to be seen a certain way. Experience has taught me that those who do that are usually terrible humans/leaders.
Secondly, there's no track record. Almost everyone I've seen who lived in Anambra when Obi was Governor have nothing good to say about his administration. Why should I believe the story will change with him as president.
You want me to vote? You will have to put Wike on the ballot. He's the only one I trust to deal with insecurity head on based on antecedents.
He's the only one who does not bother about stepping on toes to get the job done. He's the first politician I've seen who threatens his friends with jail if they don't execute the contract he gives them.
Since you obviously can't put him on the ballot, trying to convince me to vote is like pouring water in a basket.
My mind is made up and you posting that screenshot a million times won't change it.
Mo batified shiere. I was even discussing along with one of my padi for school yewterday suddenly, he asked me, who am I voting for? I said Tinubu, he was shocked being that he is from kaduna south, I repeated it... Tinubu mr man. He said why now... I was surprised he was asking why? I immediately knew the angle he was coming from. He hates El rufai more than the devil and even wish he can exchange it with devil ( a red flag).
I told him I recognise the fact that the APC ticket is not being fair to my Christain brothers but I look beyond religion when choosing a leader.
He said he prefers Atiku or Obi, I said fine. But whatever comes from voting Atiku, be ready for another Fulani bloodshed like my guy in power now. Werey was somehow not happy. I told him I choose Tinubu simply because he has the best team for the job. Werey was nodding an I said, while respect your decision to go for either obi or Atiku, please do well by looking beyond social media, orators and messiah. History has taught us a lot about them.
Make February do quick now. We want to teach some people politics 111.
reccy: Hehhhe. Ah dy gbadun you. Dy give them hot hot. I can't believe a man onced wished he died a disastrous death due to bad governance is now the messiah to save Nigeria.....
I'm too old for all these gibberish jhor
What changed? I thought you were going to vote for Obi
raumdeuter: Its good that this video was 5yrs old so its not because of Obi running for presidency, Everyone who commented on Obi administration in Anambra always has terrible things to say even those who are now championing his campaign now
We have seen threads where curses were heaped on him, videos saying how useless he was even tweets wishing they never witness his administration ever again
If you even watch the whole of the video, the man claimed that Ojukwu was vehemently against the second tenure of PO. For a man whose followers boast about his performance as Governor, the immediate question that comes to mind is why?
Donjazet2: Yes, suddenly opposition politicians are the best source of choice when making decisions. Dey there dey play. Dey play with you and your country future. Dey play ooo.
No surprises, attack the messenger and leave the message.
By the way, why not ask Fashola what he thinks of Buharis government and see what he'll tell you. I was under the impression you can only get the truth about any government from critics of that government.
Rather than prove to us that what he said is false, you'll rather dismiss it and say its just opposition politicians.
....... tah! He's a Saint. He transformed Anambra to Abu Dhabi. I've seen the Clip before, I've also seen tweets and NL posts on his failures when he was Anambra State Governor.
Let Obidients keep lying to their selves, as Soludo, we all know the truth and Obi himself knows the truth and the game he's playing.
But how do people watch clips like this and not see the man is not who he claims to be?
chrisooblog: I wish the reporter had asked for where specifically wasn't completed because according to reports in October the bridge was almost ready only the access roads were still to be worked on.
He said, “The bridge project is 95 per cent complete, and it is expected to be delivered by the end of December 2022 but there is a second phase, which is a 3.3-kilometre road approach on the Delta side and a 7-kilometre approach road on the Anambra side that is yet to commence.
If the argument were access roads then that's a different issue but saying the Bridge itself isn't complete is not factual.
Hahahaha
Even after you read a direct feedback from someone who has used the bridge.
I have highlighted the two most important part for you again. If you still insist, I rest my case
Obinna Eze, the second driver to pass through the bridge, urged the present administration to complete it before May 2023.
“It is a reality, though it is not 100% complete, so far what we are seeing is impressive. We commend the present administration and we hope they complete it based on the time frame,” Eze said.
chrisooblog: So it's only when a project has been commissioned that's when it's completed not when people start using it?
I hear you bro
I also like the way you oscillate between 'project' and 'bridge' when pushing the argument of whether the second Niger Bridge is complete.
Whatever way you try to spin it the bridge is complete fact. If you remember your argument was because some of the access roads to bridge wasn't complete therefore the bridge was not completed. I then countered that alternative access roads would be built for commuters to link and use the bridge which has come to pass.
If you insist the bridge isn't completed please humour me what is left to do on it that hasn't been done? Notice I said BRIDGE not access roads.
Obinna Eze, the second driver to pass through the bridge, urged the present administration to complete it before May 2023.
“It is a reality, though it is not 100% complete, so far what we are seeing is impressive. We commend the present administration and we hope they complete it based on the time frame,” Eze said.
