DeLaRue:
The so-called investors have more money than sense, hence the reason they invest in 'tech' companies that are ultimately doomed to fail.

Many of these so-called tech companies have nothing more than brightly coloured offices, a few computers/laptops and a half-baked, bound-to- fail idea that they wax lyrics around and sell to investors as a viable business.

Many of these founders have no tangible business or life experience - yet, misguided investors will give them money.

It is no surprise over 95% of them fail.

This particular company raised $2m less than a year ago, yet they're already out of business. No doubt the founders took very good care of themselves and left the naive investors licking their wounds.
If you are smarter than the investors in the matter of profitable investing, you would be a dollar multi-billionaire already.
Venture capitalism is like gambling, you win some you lose some but hope to win more than lose.
Only insiders will understand why.

Nigerians what are wrong with you??

Even if churches should be sited there, it’s too early and it shows our priorities?

They’ll soon decimate that place with church noises and bands and microphone and shouts of alleluia.

I expected tech hubs to be sprawling there first, manufacturing and others and refineries first before others follow last to show priority is productiveness

Not this

Comon
Tech hubs in the most expensive properties in Nigeria?
How will the struggling founders afford such?

PoliticsRe: Benin City: Cradle Of Black Civilization & The Centre Of The World(Edorisiagbon) by ivolt: 6:46pm On Dec 01, 2023
Patriotsleague:
There is a clear lineage, Oduduwa was a Benin man, he didn't fall from sky...
This should be coming from an illiterate not you.
There is myth and there is history. Oduduwa did not fall from the sky.
He was a full Ife man who won a royal tussle.
BTW, Benin also has its myth about the origin of Ogisos, but I have seen nobody
use that as evidence of anything.

most people arguing forget to look at timelines, Benin empire and throne had existed for centuries before Oduduwa and Oranmiyan episode,
Igodomigodo was just a little town before the Oba system was established.
It would have remained so if not for the infusion of the Oba civilization imported from Ife.
The most damning evidence is the change of name from Igodomigodo to Bini which signifies the arrival of a new sheriff.
Name change during this period often follows traumatic event.
It is good to read before arguing.

and if Ile'Ife was the yourba cradle of civilization, this clearly shows that Benin empire had the advantage of strength, wealth, structure and organization, being an earlier civilization... they will not go look for a king outside or elsewhere, they had a System of ascension to the throne before Oduduwa episode, as they had numerous kings during Ogodomigodo dynasty and the Ogiso before Izoduwa (Ekaladerhan) also known as Oduduwa era.
There is no relationship between Ekhaleran and Oduduwa. Stop putting them in the same sentence.
When Igodomigodo was in extreme turmoil and could not solve their leadership crisis, one of the parties
had to look for external help in Ife.

Ife is very much older than Benin.

Oba of Benin is just repeating what Oba of Lagos has said, it's sad some people and Yoruba chiefs are trying to use it for clout or politics. Oba of Benin was trying to highlight the close relationship between Benin and Yoruba, on the Eko issue, he didn't mean to disparage or belittle Yoruba people, rather he is trying to show the closeness. History is history...he didn't say Benin own Lagos, he said Benin helped formed the nucleus of Lagos, which is Eko, Lagos island....which grew into Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki etc... Let's stop the rancour.
If Oba of Benine wanted to be factual, he should have stated that Benin had a military base in a small part of Lagos island(less than 1% of Lagos) for a while after supporting one factional leader against his opponent.

In fact, the Oba would have been applauded by all had he stuck to the actual role played by Benin in the
development of Lagos during its early beginnings.

Saying Benin founded Lagos is misleading.

Kirigidi:
"Oba" in Urhobo language means the "the end or last point/place", "the highest authority" you can report to or take a matter to" for the purpose of adjudication. So it is possible Yoruba adopted that kingship title from Benin.
They couldn't have adopted a word which has no correlative meaning in the alleged origin language.
Especially at a time where language is solely transmitted via word of mouth.
There is no record oral or written that shows that the Ogisos were called "Obas".
Oba loosely translated as "he who reigns" has no secondary meaning in this case. It is specific word for a Yoruba king.

Take adolescent births for example, SA rate is rising in the same period Nigeria's rate is declining.

Neither government policies nor the school uniforms is the problem. The problem is the culture of SA people. When we talk about dressings, we forget that Africans used to go mostly naked and in those times decades ago, it was the culture of the people that determined their sexual morality.
Culture changes over time.
The government should stop promoting harmful culture with its policies.

From what you posted, a circular was issued by the custom on pharmaceuticals import restriction
which suggest a security motive.

Nigeria imports about $1.1 billion pharmaceutical per year while the total imports is more than $50 billion dollars.
How can anyone claim that no port can work because less than 2.5% of total import can't pass through it?

So we should agree that Apapa port will fold up if 2.5% of its yearly import is redirected elsewhere?

I just hope this isn't the reason behind the "FG is killing ports outside Lagos" we hear regularly.

A missing context is what the debts are used for - consumption or productive ventures? US, Japan, China, France and Italy are the top 5 countries with the highest national debts in absolute term.

But compared to their debt-to-GDP ratio, only Japan will be on that list, joined by Sudan, Greece and Eritrea.
The question is who are they owing?

Ibom port won't work for same reason lekki sea port won't work

Until the law is change to allow everyone import anything from any port

That's the Koko

Soludo wanted to build pharmaceutical industrial layout in Anambra as minimum 60% of local pharmaceutical companies are owned by igbos

They told him the truth... Pharmaceutical and chemicals can only be imported through apapa not even tincan

That's why they are all in Lagos and Ogun

Such laws are the main reasons investors are holding back
At least, you should have referenced the said law or policy you claimed exist.

You are confused.
SAN is not a reward for being an activist.
Think of it like a professorship title.

Funny enough many of the gals or boys supporting the ex woman of Israel have parents begging customer to buy market, drivers, cleaners, office workers who stand up when their boss walks in, people who say yes sir from morning till day break.

Same people have brothers serving as servant, some sisters learning tailoring and kneel down when they come late.

The juju man is just being good.

Now the useless woman spoilt everything.

Never marry a gal brought up by a single mother.

While I'm not against him being physically challenged, he shouldn't have come online to seek relationship...
I mean, why coming online to look for marriage material?
Where he stays, are there no female nearby that are his friends? Those who knows him personally for who he is and not what he is?
Is marriage an achievement? Will his life gets better or worse by being married?...
Let him live his life to the fullest alone, and if along the way he sees a good friend in the heart of woman, then he can propose and they get married and live happily ever...
Coming online means he will receive all sorts of opinions and it can even make him feel depressed... Some sef can associate with him and give him false hope of love while lavishing his money..
What's your business with where he seek love?
Leave him alone if you are not interested and stop with the discrimination.

Davido's ass lickers are just blaming the lady. Asa Ashika has side income, even Davido.

They said whether she didn't know before marrying him. When you get married, both of you sit down and plan how the family will grow cos responsibilities will increase after marriage, especially children's care.
To avoid premium tears, do those discussions before marriage and not after.
