the vehicle has serious electrical issues, like windows, headlamp etc. Now the bone of contention is the engine is same as golf 4, that aluminium engine doesn't like an iota of abuse, if the engine electrical has been worked on, I advice you don't pay much for it cause reversal most times isn't feasible.

The diesel version would be great just most diesel for sale are tokunbo. you are a car enthusiast but budget like 100-150k for confirm repair of the car

Ivory House, if you are as wealthy as your story suggests, why bother restoring a Landrover by having it make a round trip to the UK at great cost, when you could simply buy a similar vehicle cheaper in Germany, with the steering wheel location compatible with Nigerian roads ?

Surely even a wealthy man would appreciate saving a few thousand quid, and saving time, in a project such as this one.

It depends on the engine and what's wrong with it. Different engines have different labor hours to dismantle, then we find which part is bad and replace. Payment for teardown is applied to rebuild or replacement once we determine which is needed. Yes on diesel but only small ones right now.

I recently had cause to work with another tech on a similar vehicle

Although I found the solution to his problem, he refused to pay me for it, that gave me quite an insight into these beautiful vehicles.

I disagree that the cost of importing the parts is costlier than shipping the entire vehicle to the UK.

Haaa a, now you wan twist English just to prove a point. I told you tires don't have expiry date you are still arguing. Dunlop can recommend usage of its tire for 8 years while a car manufacturer can recommend changing tire in their cars every 3 years.

Tire service life is not determined only by year of manufacture, it is determined by thread wear and side wall wear. It's only in Nigeria where we don't manufacture anything we prove we know it all.

Also tyre burst on highway is caused majorly by over inflation by vulcanizer when the car owner himself doesn't even know the recommended tire Psi for his/her car
