Hemanwel: Why is it that most of these elected public office holders want their wards to get married during their tenure? What do they stand to gain other than having it on record that they spent lavishly for the weddings - with tax payer's money? Pls I need clarifications. I started noticing this trend right from Lucky Igbinedion tenure in Benin. Trust me, na very terrible something... |

oglalasioux: A very nice write up but you spoilt it with that 'with the fear of God'. This is the exact tool politicians use; God. People like father Mbaka scammed Nigerians with same God telling him Buhari is the answer. Now Mbaka and 'God' are making u turns condemning Buhari.
Read the Bible. It is full of God anointing people Kings and regretting almost immediately. Is this supposed to be an attribute of a God that created what we can today observe in the universe?
The earlier we admit the fakeness of God the better for all of us. We should jettison religion and that's when we will realize our destiny is in own hands by starting a revolution that will make our leaders accountable instead of leaving everything to a non existent god. As much as I would like to agree with you, I will never deny the existence of God. The problem lies with a people who fails to use their brain. How can someone be praying and fasting for money to come without work when the bible even says a man must work before he eats. I keep saying it that God will NEVER solve a problem that man is capable of solving, which is why he gave us brain and hands and legs. When eating, why don't they pray and fast for food in the pot to leave and enter their mouth? You may want to clinch to science but I want to ask you, is there anything scientist has made without using materials naturally given on earth? If they are so powerful as they claim, why can't they make their things WITHOUT a single material from earth. They will always depend on minerals and plants for their advancements and most of their discovery only happened by trial and error and then documentation for next person to carry on the works. The laws have been set, it does not matter if you believe in God or not but as long as you follow the rules/laws, you will prosper; after all, same bible says "my people perish for lack of knowledge" same bible says "go into the world and multiply" but sadly, many Nigerians, due to lack of knowledge and understanding thinks multiplication in this context means fvcking and having babies but look at western countries, the US, Russia, Greece (mother of old science discovery), China, Japan and others who followed these laid down principles and what do we have today? I see many Nigerians laugh at China if only they know how that country can transform their bank account even better than the US they wanna elope to.... "My people perish for lack of knowledge" There are things not seen by the ordinary eyes and even one man here called billyonaire has thread on that, I mean things of the supernatural and you will see some others who have experience same when they decided to know go that route but they warn you might die when you try to find out the truth about the world and the universe. Do you know that there is a light/colour wavelength not seen by the human eyes or sounds that are not heard by the human ear but can be picked up by animals? Your eyes and ears, respectively, does not see or hear everything... |

PedroJP: Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahhaha. Sorry guy. I didn't mean to insult you. I don't want to rain insults in here with you.
Tell me the truth did you type that with anger ? Those flows are funny.
But my point is, Nnamdi Kanu drew attention with his hate filled truth, otherwise, he would have turned another Uwazuruike that nobody listens to rather will be jailed and bribed. Now all are talking about dialog or referendum with Kanu's approach. Agreed, it's nature of Nigerian government to take you serious ONLY when you make the loudest noise, Niger Deltan Militants did it, Bokohara did it but is that the best way to create enemies? When Niger Deltan Militants were at the forefront, they NEVER incited any hate speech towards any tribe. They never called Nigeria a zoo. Well, everybody with their own methods but all I know is that there are chances only table talk will be done, no break up, so that the South East can have a fair hearing and some other privileges. I am only against the way you guys scream and insult other tribes including those who are igbos because of opposing views. No igbo man is against Biafra, none. But it has to be done with some respect to other tribes. Igbos are not the only ones being marginalised as far as this country is concerned. You come online and insult the elders of the land, men who are your fathers age mates or even older and you expect me to subscribe to your brand of agitation. If you were raised to insult your father, I was not! Everyday on nairaland politics section, there is always insults flying around. |

PedroJP: Mr "I am Igbo myself", in a nutshell the guy asked why you chose to see only the hate speech by Nnamdi and left the issues and observations complained by Nnamdi.
In otherwords, you were comfortable having such issues abound as they were only felt by Igbos, now reacting because hate speech was attached.
Nnamdi Kani's approach is the best whether you like it or not. Since Uwazuruike peaceful and hatredfree approach what did you do ? Nothing. You felt comfortable and wished Igbos keep managing their condition even to the point of death as it doesn't bother you.
Now, another came with an approach that has slammed you with a sledge hammer, you now realized his approach is not the best.
Tell us what you did with Uwazuruike's approach, did you even observe them more or less to feel that there is an issue to be addressed ? No.
You are a HYPOCRITE: if this amounts to being hateful then so be it as it is a simple truth i can tell you. F u and your elders whom don't know their right from their left. I am igbo myself but will never subscribe to your brand of agitation even though I want Biafra. Was Kanu even born at that time? NO! laribari: You see yourself? You should be very very concerned about this sort of meetings because the people of influence the FG is engaging are the ones backing kanu.
I understand what FG did and by snubing kanu is good. They will divide his camp and have reduced him to size. THE TRUTH IS THAT WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM, IT IS ADDRESSED AND SOLUTION IS DISCUSSED AND PERHAPS PROVIDE; that is what the elders representing the East have done. They tabled their concern and it MUST be addressed now.
Kanu has no solution to the problem on ground (which is dialoging and negotiating), instead he wants to create a bigger problem called referendum. At the initials, it will cause a lot of problems for the igbos outside the East. Many may never recover from the loss of their business. Let's not fool ourselves, Rome wasn't built in one day.
So ordinarily, will you invite kanu if you were FG or speak with people who are ready to listen. Kanu's ears are blocked and he doesn't want to dialogue becos he wants to make history, hence he was snubbed.
Do you think all igbos want to leave Nigeria? The number of those who wishes to leave will surely be more as all who resides in the east will vote in its favour but there are hundreds, or perhaps close to a million outside the east who would vote against it. It's easy to ask for it from the east because you are not relocating but if you were to move from a city to a village then you will understand how difficult it is when you have to leave your estates and empire behind (whether you are poor or rich).
Lapido market at mushin operated during the Sit at home demonstration because those guys are about business. Do you know how many million is in ladipo, Alaba, idumota etc? The market is here and most of these igbo guys won't leave.
If you want a fair vote for referendum then conduct it only in cities outside the east and see how many easterners want to come back. All my friends that I tease during discussions, ALL SAID GO DO WETIN? I NOR DEY GO ANYWHERE! These people are Nigerians and they feel Nigerian too and it's like robbing them if you ask them to leave.
I expected that IPOD will use this medium to negotiate something good for igbos when it comes to governance or force re-structuring to take place.
This is why he isn't considered a leader of such because IPOB has been more of a gra-gra moment (an agitation) and he has been disrespectful and insultive too. Leaders lead by example! By the way, I'm delta ibo so that you don't say I'm being sentimental. God bless you jare. Many have same thought as you have opined. The method by Nnamdi Kanu is VERY WRONG... in 2017! |

It's no more news that Chidumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, a notorious and a billionaire kidnapper was arrested. Despite the charges levied against him due to the atrocities he has committed, condemnations from all Nigerians both home and abroad, who want in one way or the other his Crucifixion, death by hanging or even life sentence.
1. Only God can forgive and can judge, though a sinner cannot go un punished, but he doesn't want the death of a sinner if he or she repents. 2. He can still make heaven despite the gravity of sin if he repent before death. 3. God might be using him as a punishment to those who fell his victim. (Only God knows how his victims made there money). 4. Crucify him!!! At worse he'll die, but remember you'll die one day, you'll die too and as a sinner, you might burn in the same lake of fire, no matter the gravity of your sin. No VIP section. 5. Some atrocities most politicians now adays have committed secretly and has affected the economy of the nation is much more than that of Evans. Everyone knows how he makes his or her wealth.
N.B Are you still a sinner? Irrespective of your religion or faith, Repent and change your ways...
Nowadays people die like flies... You might not be granted the grace to repent at point of death.. Different people with different grace..
