There are no scammers on Nairaland, even there are, they can only scam a 4 year old kid

Who would give someone 40 million naira without seeing the house, seeing the documents and without contacting his lawyer to see and verify the authenticity of the house ?? Only a 4 year old kid would do that
Bro, are you a learner to have stated that there are no scammer on nairaland? Maybe you are new here cos I am shocked you could say such.

BTW, are you still doing your dropshipping?

Op, don't listen to most of the advices given to you by most guys on this forum. Tomorrow they will still be the ones to call you cheap, slut, olosho, ashewo. since you've decided to keep yourself till marriage, don't give in to your bf, highest he will leave you but you would move on with your life. You will still meet someone who would respect your wish. Giving into sex doesn't mean he will stay with you. We all know that there are some many guys that pester girls for sex, when they get what they want, they flee.
I am really disappointed in most comments here mostly by the guys.

As a Guyman is it wise to sell the car and revert back to trekking. Won't d ladies abscond from me because chick flock around any 4legged machine and it has given me successes without wasting much saliva.

RomanceRe: 6 Reasons Why I Prefer Online Hook Up for a purposeful romance. by iwatch: 6:46pm On Sep 11, 2016
Toks2008:
Online hook up simply means meeting someone online while you do proper offline dating.

While many people consider it dangerous to connect to people of opposite sex online,I can say with all sincerity that I have met more fantastically decent. responsible ladies online than offline and after thorough evaluation I have come to realize that while it is more difficult to find responsible guys online.the reverse is the case when it comes to finding decent ladies and below are 7 reasons why I believe so.

1.Most decent and marriageable ladies usually stay indoors:

If they are not at work,in the mall or in church then you can bet they are at home with their family members watching TV or browsing the Internet as well as checking their watsup. facebook.Twitter. instagram...and this makes it easier to come across them online.

2. Most responsible and marriageable ladies are always busy:

As expected, most responsible ladies of marriageable ages are usually very busy as you are likely going to find them at their work or business centers which hardly give room for guys to have easy access to them due to their tight itinerary but when they get home, you are most certain to find them in a more relaxed mood to socialize and ofcourse the online platform is the best option.

3.Most ladies on dating sites really want to settle down:

Dating sites are other good spots to get ladies with deep need of genuine relationship. While it is believed that most guys on dating sites are wolves, this is not the same with ladies. Yes we also have ladies with ulterior motives on dating sites but it takes lots of guts for a lady to register on a dating site and there is usually some level of sincerity that comes with that.

4.There is a better chance of hitting the spot:

While the offline chase usually comes with the restraints and frustrations of seemingly mature ladies who deeply want a man yet will put up an indifferent disposition and act like they don't care, the online chase is a different ball game as it gives a no holds Barr opportunity to communicate sternly and purposefully which usually yields a purposeful result as you will know if you still have a chance or if you need to look elsewhere.

5.You tend to get your most preferred choice in one spot:

In a week it may be very difficult for a guy to meet a lady offline who has The face or body type that endears him and if he eventually meets one. she may be too young.unserious, or even marrried.

But the online platform eliminates these hiccups to the barest minimum.Yes pictures do lie these days but at least you will get to have a better clue of the person in terms of Age,facial looks, body structure, relationship status and a bit of interaction good enough for you to know if you need to get closer.

6.It gives you more integrity:

I don't know about anyone else but the act of wooing a lady is pissing to me especially when you consider the possible outcome of the move as regards the immature dispositions expressed by some ladies..

The sad twist to it is the way many ladies see a guy who is still single and searching because they will be quick to call you irresponsible just because you wooed them today and they see you talking to another lady tomorrow as if you are not entitled to keep trying until you get.

7.A better choice for responsible guys and introverts:

I want every lady to understand that introverts are the best guys any lady can pray for.

This set of guys don't indulge in vague things of life but are deeply responsible with no time to start chasing skirts around and if they ever show interest in you then don't bother proving hard to get because they may never give you a second look.

Hooking up online might just be the perfect choice for this set of butts as they will have the oportunity of getting their prefered choice while eliminating the stress of offline 50/50 chase.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that hooking up with responsible, responsive and marriage ready ladies seem easier online than offline considering the stress and uncertainties that come with offline approach but one needs to do a good due diligence to avoid getting into muddy waters.

I don't know if this makes sense.

The Mindboggling Corruption In The Oshionmhole Administration

===================================
Just like Fashola - Adams Oshionmhole would be remembered for presiding over a regime of financial impunity, profligacy, bogus and over-inflated contracts and criminally-bizarre contracts awards.

It is on record that the Oshionmhole administration has enjoyed the highest revenue ever in the history of Edo State.

In the last 8 years, the administration has received over N1trillion naira in the form of Federal allocations and IGR. This amount is in sharp contrast with the total sum of N197 billion that the state received in the entire 8 year period of the notorious sticky-finger, Lucky Igbinedion. And tragically, there is absolutely nothing to show for it.

Oshionmhole’s stint as governor has been fraught with most questionable fiscal expenditures and strange contract figures.
Some classic instances.

He set off on his administration by installing a water fountain at King Square, Ring Road in Benin City. The project cost the Edo state tax payers a whopping sum of N386 million!

And here is what makes the episode even more painful: the fountain barely worked.

In the 2015 budget, N150million was voted for the maintenance of this fountain. The fountain still didn’t work.

Curiously, in the 2016 budget, another N100million was also voted for its maintenance.
At the end of his administration, over N636million would have been spent on a meaningless fountain. And to what benefit?

And then, there is the contract for the expansion of Airport road, Benin-city.

Airport road is a 6.7km road in the heart of Benin-city. It is a road that has long existed. It is not a new road. It was expanded at an atrocious cost of N17billion. Mind you – no bridge was constructed along that road.

Now, here is a bit of comparison. The Benin-by-pass is a 46km road. It has four (4) bridges, six (6) flyovers. It was built in a virgin forest. It was built by the PDP administration with just N10 billion.

Some other projects executed at very questionable costs by the Oshionmhole administration include:

N950 million for the beautification of the popular “Five Junction” near TV road in Benin-city. (that is N50 million shy of N1billion).

N600 million for the installation of street light from “Third Junction” on Sapele road to “Country Home” road junction.

N400million for the rehabilitation of Ekenwan road.

N70million to organize a Beauty Pageant - an event that is of no economic value to the State and that its sponsorship should have been outsourced to the private sector.

$225m World Bank loan that was purportedly spent on ICT consultancy and Website design.

N3.5 million and N4.5 million per trip for chartered domestic flights to Iyamho, Abuja, Lagos and Benin even in the face of dwindling revenue from the federation account.

N4 million regular largesse given to his close aides in the guise of medical treatment fees.

N11 million naira as the cost of each room of the hostels in Edo State University in Oshinmhole’s home town of Iyamho.

N3 billion naira on school furniture that were never delivered to schools.

Political appointees from who hail from the home town of Oshionmhole earn twice what their other colleagues receive in what has become known as "Iyamho allowance”.

N3.5 billion in the 2016 budget in the never-ending allocation of monies for the construction of the Accident and Emergency Ward unit at the Benin Central Hospital. Note that there had been previous allocations for this same project in the 2014 and 2015 budget.

And so on.

Now, Afrinvest is a company owned by the APC Governorship candidate, Godwin Obaseki. Obaseki collects 5% for facilitating the N25billion Benin City water storm loan from the capital market.

Note that 5% of N25billion is N1.25 billion. This unhealthy arrangement is similar to the relationship between Alpha Beta Consulting (ABC) and the Lagos state government.

Hundreds of other companies that would have gladly done it for far less amount. Why wasn’t this contract better negotiated on behalf of the tax-paying people of Edo state?

In the 2016 Edo state budget, N10.65 billion was voted for the purpose of the welfare of Oshionmhole and his family.

That is 9.6% of the 2016 Edo State total budget of N111.50 billion.

That amount is what would be lavished on the First family of Edo state in a single year – a family that also enjoys N500million monthly security votes.

What a very high-maintenance family!
Or has Mary Kay become that expensive?

Meanwhile, key sectors like Water resources and agriculture were voted a meager N100 million and N300 million respectively in the same budget.

And painfully, not a single rural electrification project was embarked on in the entire eight (cool years of the Oshionhmole administration.

Now, on the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, here is my personal and unsentimental opinion and prediction.

Oshionmhole’s stooge is most likely to emerge the next governor.. Because someone is going through the most elaborate length to ensure that.
There are already signs to that effect.

The mind-boggling amount of APC campaign materials - billboard banners, posters, jingles, etc - that has inundated every nook and cranny of Edo state is simply unprecedented.

Indeed, someone is desperate.

With the way things are going, and with the postponement of election, the Edo people will have their say, but Oshionmhole will have his way.

Copied from Facebook
Bros, even though I don't like what Oshiomole has turned himself to, most of what you wrote are lies. The roads he built are standard. I high standard roads, he renovated a lot of schools.

But these happened during his first term.

Did you include the general hospital that has just been completed?

Very uncharitable to say that and not an absolutely correct statement but what you can see is the way things should naturally be, what God desired at creation, that when a tree matures and bears fruit, the seed encapsulated has the very nature of the tree and when trees are multiplied this way a desert may become a field and a field a forest where the beasts of the earth may take shelter. To be able to create a legacy you need a vision. To be able to translate a vision into tangibles you need wisdom and knowledge. Grace is the subsidy God provides to accomplish vision through unnatural speed, precision and power, things you need. Grace grows in proportion to the effort you put into gaining wisdom and knowledge. That is why to have a stress free marriage and raise a family without issues whatsoever the parents (the father especially) needs to tow the line of godliness. Bad parenting is the absence of one or more or all of the elements mentioned above and there is no correcting that. So it is not so much of grace leaving but the lack of desire for it that matters. Good or bad families are not by mistake.
Hello Sir, just want to apologize to you only for merging your post into my post as I see you were the only one who made a reasonable reply to my earlier post.

This is the problem I have with Nigerian fanatics who think they are actually practicing christianity. What is there to be afraid of? Are they not humans like myself? If you worship pastors, I do not. I worship no pastor and I can tell anyone to their face if they provoke me because they do not feed me and neither do I go to them for favour. When I need help, I cry to my creator and not a pastor.

Everything Benson Idahosa left behind could not be expanded beyond where he left of because something isn't right. His first son has been forced to lead the church, not because it came from his mind and neither was he ever interested BECAUSE the idea of giving the baton of leadership to different person, whom I believe could have helped build and expand the church, isn't acceptable simply because it's a family business. If Redeem founder had acted like the family of Benson Idahosa, I am sure Pastor Adeboye would have been ignored while the founder's family keep running it like their heritage and thus, we will never have heard or seen Redeem as huge as it is today.

If Pastor Oyedepo should pass on, his wife is more than capable to carry on with his legacy, together with his son.

You can't compare the wife of Oyedepo to the wife of Benson Idahosa, who is only good at beautifying her face, paint lip, adorn her fingers with rings and then wears the cap and you tell me I should take such a person serious.

Do you even know Benson Idahosa is the father of Oyedepo, Omobude, Oritsejafor and a host of others? They were is followers when he was alive.

The difference between I and you all is that I will say things are as I see it. I am not scared to say what I want because I do not see any pastor, dead or alive, more human than myself. But same people who do not want to judge pastors when the err in some cases are quick to judge gays, prostitutes, thieves and other criminals. I ask: How are these "sinners" any lesser than a fellow human such as the pastors? We are all humans!

I will not respond to your mentions after this.

Oyedepo laid a SOLID foundation that will outlive him... Benson Idahosa who was the father of them all in the past hasn't had his legacies carried on. Mind you all, I stayed in Benin for year and know what goes on there.

What the wive of Benson Idahosa should have done was to look for some with the same fire as Benson Idahosa and let him lead just as it was done in Redeem by its founder, but can a venture seen as a family business or heritage be allowed to take such form? little wonder the current state of that church and I am sure no 15 year old kid outside Benin knows if a church like Church of God Mission exist but ask same kid if they have heard of Redeem Christian Church, then you will know what I mean or am talking about.

Dear iwatch,

It is nothing about what your sister knows or does not know how the system works down there. Procedure is all about Swiss Laws. Switzerland is a Schengen country and you need to apply for a Schengen visa unless you don't stay for more than 90 days. If your intention is staying for more than 90 days, then you should apply for Swiss National Visa. Procedure is well defined on the website of Embassy of Switzerland in Abuja.

This is the official page of Swiss Embassy in Abuja for what are the Schengen visa requirements. You should read carefully and collect asking documents;
https://www.eda.admin.ch/countries/nigeria/en/home/visa/entry-ch/up-90-days/documents-schengen.html

So, if your sister is going to invite you, she must write an invitation letter for your name. On the page of frequently asked questions, it is well defined how your sister is going to write it. You should check question number 4 which name is for hosts in Switzerland; https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home/themen/einreise/faq.html#4. Hôte en Suisse

I am neither a Swiss National nor a Visa expert but Swiss Embassy in Abuja's website is very well defines everything. Good luck!
WOW... Thanks so much. I really appreciate your effort and time. I will surely have a look. God bless you.

Hello Everyone,

Please this is just an inquiry because I lack almost zero knowledge about travelling abroad--It's not really my agenda to leave the country.

Well, I was speaking to my elder sister on phone when she said she would like to invite me over there for at least 1 month visit and that I should make inquiry about applying for visa.

I only have the Nigerian international passport and aside that I have no idea how to go about the rest.

Please what should I do. My sister left the country when I was still a kid, in the late 90s and barely knows how the system works down here. So how do I go about it?

Thanks in advance.
