kazchick: Pls who has written CSC? Any tips or pointers? Does it make sense to buy the online textbook or value pack which contains both textbook and other study materials?
I am landing in less than 2 months and want to prepare myself adequately to land a bank job as soon as possible. Hey! I have soft copies of both text books ( vol 1&2). Pm me if interested. |

rainazoe: I just landed like few days ago but made a bank deposit. Can I get a statement to use? You can use your lease agreement/ rent receipt to prove residency. Since you have lived in Ontario for less than 3 months and applying now, your health card will get to you just as you clock 3 months old in the province. |

kazchick: My People, Happy Sunday. Please I am considering moving to Missisuaga or Brampton especially when the reviews on Toronto in terms of living is quite high. Please which is better to land and stay in as a first timer and no support system in relation to quality of life, cost of living, housing transport, daycare etc as I would be landing with my baby? Help a sister. They’re both in the GTA and very close in proximity. In terms of transportation, presto charges $2.95-$3 for each 2 hour ride on regular brampton transit or miway buses. Go buses and trains have different fees. Housing is cheaper in brampton than Mississauga and it depends on the kind of house you’re looking for. Bear in mind though, what you’ll save in housing costs in brampton, you’ll pay in auto insurance. Brampton is known for high auto insurance costs. Daycare is relatively similar in both cities. |

Thanks for the responses. The question wasn’t asked because of the scenario today or because a child was missing( he has been found). I highlighted in my post that I understand the importance of the emergency alert services and this is even the first time I’m seeing a child is the one being looked for. Bbaby84 so sorry for the experience you had and thank God he was found. I simply wanted to know if there was a way to disable the alerts maybe in the intermin. Didn’t look to be judged, hence the disclaimer in my introduction but it’s okay. I understand we all have to look out for one another and be our brother’s keeper. I will assume the alerts can’t be disabled. |

Guys in Ontario,
Please pardon my question, it might be a bit insensitive.
Is this how emergency alert will be going forward? I understand it’s importance and all but I thought it was just a notification the first time so that anytime there is a province based general emergency, we will know. Now, radio, tv, phones, everything just paused and alert came on about a child last seen with a woman and to call 911 if seen. The alert even disconnects a call just to get one’s attention.
Pls is there a way one can ‘unregister’ from this alert services? |

lynda1: YOU MADE A WAY, DON'T KNOW HOW, BUT YOU DID IT!! HIS PROMISE HAS COME TO PAST!!
My God has shown me mercy. I don't know where to start to praise Him, at this point, all I can say is THANK YOU LORD!!
Please rejoice with me dear friends and family, God has given me a BFP. My God has fulfilled His promise. It wasn't easy but it finally ended in praise.
We had to relocate and decided to give IVF a try. It wasn't easy because it was a last minute decision. We prayed and committed the whole procedure to God. Frankly, I was scared of what the outcome would be because I wasn't prepared. During the process, I was reading supernatural childbirth sent to me by @Iyamefa which built my faith. I prayed like never before and always reminded God of His promises using the scriptures. Was still in my 2wks wait even before we left. So happy to announce to you all that I got a BFP. He is ever faithful. I pray for every mama, we all shall testify to the goodness of God. *Edited* Big congratulations to you dear, welcome to a new chapter of your life, wishing you happy and stress free bumping! |

vinoj0225: Oh my goodness. Thank you for you apt response but you just scared me really good. Afraid of doing it now. Any other procedure to remove this blockage? Na wa oooo. Ttc is really bad and a torture. God please help us out. Baby dust to us. My dear don’t be scared, look at you that will face labour just now lol. There are def other procedures that can be done but it depends on your doc’s specialization and what they’re willing to do. Another thing, it depends on the location of the blockage. |

vinoj0225: Happy Sunday mamas. 3. What's the procedure like? Is it painful? Please help a sister in desperate need. Thanks Hi sis, 1) budget about 25k and above for each session if you decide to do more than one sessions consecutively ( most HMO won’t cover it) 2) yes it has worked for some people but not all. The only way you can know is to do a repeat hsg or get a bfp because it is a blind procedure. Even the doc doing it wouldn’t know if it worked or not. 3) The procedure is somewhat similar to hsg but it’s painful and some docs wouldn’t allow you take pain killers before the procedure because your pain reaction lets them know the areas to concentrate on and kinda guides them in order for it to be effective. It’s basically passing antibiotics through a catheter to ‘flush’ out the debris/blockage. Your legs might be strapped to the hospital bed too. In summary, the procedure is not a bad idea because a good number of women have benefitted from it but in modern technology, it’s somewhat primitive because it’s a blind procedure and there’s no way to tell if it worked or not immediately without a repeat hsg or bfp. |

4712A6: About moving to Quebec, I have not been there but I have someone there. My comments will only be based on research, news and what I have heard. Quebec is like putting France in Canada. There's some form of systemic racism there. Last year, the Mayor was challenged for feigning ignorance about what that means. Even the Arabs (Tunisia, Morocco and those countries who speak French) face some form of discrimination there. They may not say it openly but will do it indirectly. I was following a discussion panel on CBC that was discussing these issues. Imagine being told your French is foreign.
See more here: A minority within a minority: Quebec's struggle to face racism https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.4567938
This is not to scare anyone but just be informed. For me I don't want to be in a city where a system will somehow limit my chances. The only thing attractive to me in the city is HEC in Montreal. Haha I’m interested in this gist cos I’ve heard something about this before. We all know Quebec is almost not in Canada. They have almost everything owned separately from the rest of Canada. The tension between the Montreal stock exchange and toronto stock exchange made me laugh. I know they’re a couple of peeps here in Quebec. Please come and expantiate on this. I would love to take a vacation to Montreal soon. Let me know what to expect. |

orney: No sir, but this emzor folic acid we do buy over d counter is 5mg and most mamas here including myself have been taking it since ttc Be careful with that. The recommended amount is 400mcg. 5mg is too much especially when it’s been utilized only by your body for now and not a baby included. I know people say you excrete excess folic acid/vitamins but I’ve read online there might be side effects of taking overdose of folic acid especially now that it’s not working to prevent spina bifida but only absorbed by your body. Maybe don’t take it daily. Just do some more research on it though. Thought to drop my own idea. |

Hi guys
Pls does anyone have an idea of any ‘newcomer or volunteer’ services in Mississauga, Ontario that can help with filing taxes for last year? My tax situation for last year is not complicated, that’s when we landed. Not exactly willing to do it myself online cos it’s the first time, would love to get it done professionally. Subsequently, I’ll do it myself with TurboTax.
Thanks |

yakbauer: Hello MAMAS I am here for advise on the most appropriate step to take with regards TTC. we've been married for two years now, and still TTC, seen two Gyneas ,the first tested ran hormonal assay, HSG, ECG, and SFA for me, they said there's a "likely"blockage of her tubes which could only be confirmed with a second HSG. we then went to the second gynea, which happens to in a renown hospital as regards IVF and other related stuff, they ran Hormonal assay, TVS and SFA, said no need for HSG that the best way to confirm a blocked tube was via Labroscopy. so from the TCS they said saw signs of PCOS although that it wasn't serious since shes not showing any of the obvious signs like missing period, facial beards, milking breasts, etc. there was a time she her period didn't come till day 40, and when it came it was very painful, with thick blood clot, when we went to see the doctor we were told it could have been a likely case of failed implantation. On another occasion she had a very thick brownish discharge during her ovulation and would stop about 2 days after. Now here's the thing, my wife has been battling with this infection, candidiasis for as long as i have known her, and we've treated it more times than we can count, and we've noticed that it comes at exactly her ovulation window that we usually make concerted efforts. is the frequency of this infection normal, could it be a hindrance to conception, how can we stop this recurring infection? thabks In addition to other advices, i would advise that you do the treatments wth her because if she’s treating alone, you might be reintroducing it back into her system. |
