Please somebody help me!

The letter sent from CIC says to submit passports to VFS so they can send it to visa office in Accra for stamping. On VFS website, I don’t see this service anywhere.
To book appointments on their website, they’re only scheduling appointments for biometric collection and not passport submission. Im confused

Hi House, do we have anyone here that submitted their passport to VFS in January? I didn’t receive any email after submitting it in person and no update received.
Please does one have to visit the vfs office In person to submit the passports for visa stamping?

I checked the website but I’m not getting much information. Can one send in the passports through courier to vfs? Happy to hear from anyone too.

Thanks, they’re not in benin.

Good evening to the expecting Mamas and Papas here.
I just hope somebody can guide us through this base on experience.

It happens that wifey is 37weeks gone and the last scan we had 2 weeks ago says the baby was 2.2kg as at then. We got to the lab for another scan today and sonographer says 4k+( he have to caution us that the baby is bigger than the average already).
Now the issue is 14 July is the EDD, is there anything wife can be doing to reduce the weight before then?
I don't want the Doctor advising CS because of baby 's weight plus I have read of tears being one of the result of big baby too.
Even though I have been trying to not let her eat swallow in the night and taking Milo/milk, but she will rather eat that than any other light food mostly because she do come back late from work and all.
I just have to let her but I am seriously concerned about the weight.
We still have 3 weeks to go, what if baby continue weighing more.
This is our first and seriously apart from the normal small small serere...it has been so wonderful with no much stress.....I need guidance on the way out of this pls.
Please don’t be bothered. As advised, she can try to eat more healthy in the time left but a big baby will be a big baby. Speak to your doc, by God’s grace her delivery will be fine. You should also know that the measurements given could be incorrect sometimes. Regardless of how she births the baby, the goal is mom and baby alive/healthy.

I don't even know where I belong, really. I have been in 'trying to conveive' sector, now here. To be honest I just need advice. Pls any experience anyone here have had that might or can help me.pls drop it

Have been pregnant thrice with recurrent miscarriages.so u can imagine how scared I m that I m preggy again
Just found out last week.
The last one I was on progesterone yet I loss him/her.

I m here because the topic said 'high risk' pregnancy.i know most people here have healthy pregnancies but pls if you can help me with any tip I will appreciate so much.
I m shaking as I type because I just spotted few mins ago at 5 weeks and some days.
I have prayed, cried and everything.
I can't do scan now because heartbeat can't even be detected now.

The last one I lost there was detection of heart beat at 6 weeks plus 5 days, yet I lost him at 8 weeks and 5 days even with taking duphaston

Pls don't pass this post if u have an advice or anything I can do so this one stays. God help me for I m lost
I’m deeply sorry you had to go through three losses, I pray that this pregnancy is here to stay this time around, amen!
I see you’re on progesterone which is great and that the reason for the previous miscarriages are not yet known.
I’m not a doctor by any means but some women have this issue where their bodies see foetuses as foreign bodies and their antibodies go on overdrive to expel the ‘foreign matter’. Doctors typically would issue medications to temporarily reduce the body’s immunity so the antibodies don’t ‘fight’ the foetus. During your hospital visits, I don’t think it would hurt to mention this to your doc so they can run tests to see if this could be the case in your situation. I know prednisone is one of the drugs used to achieve this purpose. Speak with your doc, ask questions and advocate for yourself. It is well with you sis!

My beautiful teamies how are we all doing? Its nice knowing by next week we would start getting B.A.
In the mighty name of Jesus there shall be no loss, on the days of our deliveries the good Lord will go in with us and victory is certain.

Please start tidying up and if you have the strength clean up and just get yourself prepared. Most importantly my people rest, rest and rest, once baby arrives now, I doubt if most of us will be able to close our eyes.

May Almighty continue to guide and protect us and our babies through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Do have a great day mamas and papas.
Amen to your prayers! The heaviness now is out of this world lol. If anything drops on the floor, it’s dead to me cos the struggle to bend down is something else. So glad to know we are almost at the finish line!

MamaOO:
You might have cholestasis. It occurs when the flow of bile from your liver is reduced or blocked. I had serious itching with my first child to the extent that I was using cold water straight from the fridge to bathe to calm the itch. It can be quite serious in pregnancy if not monitored. Talk to your doctor, get them to run a test and see if your levels are elevated. They might be able to prescribe something.
This cholestasis should not be taken lightly at all! There is a huge risk of infant mortality if untreated and/or if baby stays till full term. I just stumbled on this last week during my research as to what could cause itching in pregnancy. Had itching on my legs/hands and immediately saw my OBGYN to complain. She ordered a blood test ASAP. Everything came out fine and the itching subsided the next day.

Help! URGENT!!

Good Evening Mummies.
Team late July EDD I am.
However I've been having these slight contractions since 2 days ago.
The contractions has gotten more serious even as I type.
Or am I getting it wrong...(I feel like sumtyn is pulling or sucking me in my pelvic..is that what contraction is?)
I am however waiting for other signs (like bloody show, mucus plug, water breaking)to be sure of whether I need to go to the hospital.

Please who has experienced this. Any advice for me?
How are you feeling now? I’m due late July as well and had an episode of contractions last week. I had been on my feet for a while cooking so I felt I overworked myself. Hubby and I were already preparing to go into emergency when the pains just stopped. I felt it the way you described it but it was false labour. Ensure you’re well hydrated, well rested and use a pregnancy support belt Incase baby is sitting low as this can exert pressure on your cervix. This was the advice my Ob gave me after she checked and nothing. If you notice any blood, trickles/rush of water or the contractions are regular, please go to the hospital asap!

Personally No side effect by taking cold water during pregnancy. I took it in my previous pregnancies and nothing happened to my babies. And I am taking it now in my third pregnancy too..
Bear in mind though that you will need to stop taking cold water and take more of hot stuff once you deliver..
To add to this, yes it helps to take warm water after delivery but in my experience I was unable to. I only craved icy water after delivery for months and I’m perfectly fine, lactated well and breastfed my kid till she was 17 months old, yes my stomach got flat too.
This is just my personal experience and not to take away from what anyone has said, do what you can do/believe in.

It is absolutely normal due to a reduction in estrogen from breastfeeding. Impacts plenty new moms! As suggested, you can increase your fluid intake and use chemical free lubricants for now. As your hormones settle down, the dryness will stop.

Congratulations to team October. I can't believe November is just around the corner. God will make it easy for everyone of us.

Please I have a concern, apart from the basics. Who can Share with me the pros and cons of using Epidural for delivery. I want to hear from anyone with the experience. I am contemplating on going for it, labour pain no be small something, my first child I cried to heaven and back. Thank you
Hi mama, I used epidural for my first kid. It was unplanned as I had written out my birth plan to include only laughing gas as labour aid, printed it out and instructed my DH to give it to the nurse assigned to me when we arrive labour assessment unit.
When the real labour began, they had Anesthesiologists on standby but I was fixated on the Nitrous oxide, the nurses and doctors were teaching me how to inhale in for pain but it was not working for me. They advised me to get Epidural and I was in so much pain to refuse. I was in labour for 3 days and took epidural on the second.

I’ll start with the Pros:
- Yes it takes your pain away. You’ll only see your pain level rising on the machine as your contractions come but you won’t feel it.

- if you’re having a not so fast labour, you’ll be able to sleep through it if you’re tired.

Cons:
- the experience of the Anesthesiologist matters a lot. It’s a delicate process that if they make a slight mistake, it could lead to life long problems of back pain and spine issues.

- the needle. Let me tell you about HOW LONG that epidural needle is. Regardless of how intense your contractions are, you will have to SIT STILL while they inject it into your back.

- It sometimes for some reason doesn’t work well in the systems of some women. The pain goes away then they start having one sided labour. I had this experience for some hours. Was having contractions on my right side only so the nurse helped me overcome the pain by upping the dose and helping me lie properly.

- it will numb your body and if you need to be active to help progress labour, you won’t be able to once you get the epidural. You’ll basically be confined to the bed

- that numbness means once it time to push, you might find it hard to push since you won’t feel it.

This is my opinion. Mamas did I leave anything out?

Giddyperson:
Wow 9 months maternity leave. You should be glad it's almost coming to an end so that your baby won't get the chance to learn the gumbody she's trying to learn in old age. Put her in creche, she'll cry for the first few days then she'd learn to stay on her own.

This is how my son behaves too. When you spend all your time with them they tend to start acting like your Siamese twin.

The only cure to her making you carry her everywhere is to put her down and let her cry. I put my son in his playpen if not he'd still cry and follow me around. Sometimes he gets distracted and plays with other things in the playpen or watches TV. Other times he is ready to cry for thirty mins before I come and carry him. The crying sha reduces after a while if you keep doing it.
Thanks for the advise. It’s so hard to watch her cry honestly but I have to be brave smiley

Hi Mamas, long time!
My baby is almost 9 months old now and starting to have separation anxiety. All she sees is me, I must carry her everywhere, drop her down, screams. Anyone else carries her, screams. She wakes up at night after a feed for no reason. Stands up frm her bed and starts crossing over to my side of the bed because she’d rather sleep in my arms. We still breastfeed so it’s even worse. She hates formula and adores the breast! My mat leave would soon be over and I’ll be going back to work. Not sure how to cope. Any advise is appreciated
