Dealers have turned a lot of areas to unofficial sales lot for cars. Any parking area in close, along road. Completely taken over.
Very vexing
Also mechanics have turned parking lots to their workshops
Problem is task force na hustle so they will pack any car they see even if it is parking legitimately. I was thinking it was a FESTAC problem, till I went to Surulere. You'll see a narrow street, and someone will line up his cars for sale there. The thing sef tire person. |

And he was requesting for players from Real Soceidad, Ajax and Porto in January. Which board will listen to such a person? The quote makes sense now because those players became fruitful. As at then, will you back Ragnick to save the club with a player from Real Soceidad? The summary is that it's a fake quote, so make we leave am there |

One of the main reasons I left was the club stopped listening to me." Nonsense talk. As at 2015 when Ragnick was manager, Isak has not even started his career. Luis Diaz was playing for a local club in South America Timber was a Youth player in Ajax Why should any reasonable board listen to him? You are fighting for a top spot in EPL, and you're looking for Isak and Diaz? Thank God they didn't listen to him. |

BlueRayDick: I ding even understand what monerozi is on and about. The E-naira idea is plain dumb. Simple!
You have already hit the nail on head that with the e-Naira the government was only trying to do what traditional bank accounts and fintechs are already doing via transfer of value from one person to another in the financial system. One can simply say naira being transfered in bank accounts is already e-Naira and there was no need for launch and cutting ribbon for e-Naira by Buhari and Emefiele. A digital version of the naira....WTF? The transfers we make are what? Semi digital? |

monerozi5590: I said common like the way it is now. As far back as 2021 Opay wasn't this common like this.
One of it advantage again is international remittance. It will be very fast even at reduced costs.
When did you open your opay account? Are you aware that you need to have an existing bank account, to open an eNaira wallet? Meanwhile Opay needs just your phone number to open an account. Abeg which one was easier? International remittance at reduced costs? Wonderful... Something that you could do with your local bank's MasterCard with ease, is what you feel eNaira would have made easier? How exactly? I don't have an Opay account. |

monerozi5590: Change is inevitable. I think another is to boost financial inclusion do those without traditional bank account. If you check , when it was launched, Opay wasn't this common at all.
I think the program lacked enough publicity and education.
Happy for Opay and the rest right now. I just checked Opay and Palmpay started in 2018. Kuda started in 2019 Enaira was launched in 2021. The program was just empty and wanted to do the same thing everyone was doing, albeit in a difficult way. The fact that anyone wanting to transact with eNaira must have the app, is already an own goal. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 6:35am On Aug 30, 2025 |
monerozi5590: Is a digital currency more like cryptocurrency but this one is centralized. Is controlled by CBN. So is from one wallet to another.
..... just like your bybit app and the rest that provide platform to trade cryptocurrency so also you must have your eNaira app to trade.
According to CBN. That you can your exchange without any intermediary. That means reduce charges and very fast. For me to transfer to anyone, the person must have the app. Whereas, nobody needs to have my Opay app to transact with me. They can use theirs What charge is the problem? On most banking apps, it's 50 naira. Some Fintechs have free transfers sef. So what exactly was the game changer for eNaira? Absolutely nothing. What the fvvk is even a digital version of the naira? It's Emefiele sha. We both know how he ended. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:53am On Aug 30, 2025 |
monerozi5590: What's wrong with the digital version of the Naira? CBDC.
How is it a bad and mumu idea? Criticize it lemme see how more brilliant you are than Emefiele. Please tell me how this is different from having a GTb account, Opay, or even Kuda account? E naira transfer is only possible between two e naira wallets, but my own bank transfer is possible with any bank. Dey play, Mallami. Just dey play dey go The eNaira will work as a digital version of the physical Naira.
Financial institutions licensed by the CBN will be responsible for ID verification, eNaira payment processing, and creating wallets for customers to hold their eNaira.
The eNaira wallet is similar to a bank account and is created in the same way; however, it will be a separate account that is not connected to an already existing bank account.
Transactions will be possible between two parties that both have an eNaira wallet, which allows you to store, send, and receive eNaira. |

GloriousGbola: no sympathy
nigerians are in love with showing off and every school ceremony has morphed from a simple celebration to a nonsense show of spending money. my last born - every end of term children are asked to bring in snacks for end of year party or something. my son now told me that the snack i had been buying - a carton of chivita juice had been rejected the last three times. he was feeling very bad about it. i had to buy something else. what kind of nonsense is that where people mess with the minds of kids. too many private schools are now focused on pandering to the egos of money miss road parents by giving them another avenue for conspicuous consumption
as for school textbooks - it was the cause of fight at my kids school. for years they were insisting on CASH payment only for books. no receipt. i said this is what people laundering money do. and if you have dubious children - if you give them money to buy books they can call any amount for you. and they write about raising future leaders with integrity
my sons secondary school graduation we had to buy a suit. then pay 100k for the 'ceremony'. like wtf . Most likely a side hustle for someone in the school. |

semid4lyfe: Good development, and I applaud cos It was an extortion racket by schools
The graduation thing is so ridiculous that pupils in Pre-Nursery were also graduating. So if you child starts school at 1+ from the Pre-Nursery Class, dem go do two graduations; the first in Pre-Nursery and the second in Nursery 3 (or Kindergarten).
And as a parents, you no fit escape paying the graduation levy cos most schools build it into their 3rd term school fees. In my kids school, the graduation levy was 50k last session and it was built into the 3rd term school fees of Pre-Nursery, Nursery 3, and Primary 5 classes.
The graduation thing was also an avenue for affluent parents to show off, and pepper those wey no hold bar, and it's one of the reasons I like my kids school. No showoff on that day cos every child wears the school official ceremonial wear top with blue jean (skirt or pant) for the graduation ceremony, and they strictly enforce it.
The textbook thing was another 👎. Apart from their non-reusability, many of the books are sold in pairs, Quantitative and Verbal, Maths & English, Writing and Colouring etc.
When my son was in Nursery 2, he lost his bag in a Keke Napep. Handwriting assignment was given to him that day so the textbook was in the bag. When we couldn't trace the Keke, I went back to the school to buy the textbook, and I was told the Handwriting textbook is sold together with the Colouring textbook, and not alone. At the end, I no get choice but to cough out 7k to buy the two books. I am very happy too with these developments. The greed became so obvious. What is pre nursery graduation? Caveatemptor: Facts point to the fact that Manchester United by allowing Grimsby Town knock them out of the Carabao Cup have lost the second avenue into Europe next season. There is no way this team with this manager can ever finish in the top 6 of the Premier league. So the only avenue into Europe next season is through the FA cup.
Ruben Amorim has successfully lowered the bar and standard at Manchester United that the team was knocked out of the Carabao Cup by a team in Division 4. It was appalling and disgusting watching the manager of Manchester United HIDING under the legs of his assistants while the penalty kicks were being taken. Contrast that with the Grimsby Town manager who stood on his two feet watching and encouraging his own team as the penalty kicks were being taken. |
