raumdeuter: The push for Shariah has always been there and no external force can make it happen, for it to be a law, It has to go through the State House of assembly, if the law passes through the House then so be it
The house has the final say, Not any outsider unless they can influence the house of assembly members to vote for it
BlueRayDick: Most of the state house of assembly will not adopt it in the South west , all those MURIC, Sultan of Sokoto and extremist Muslims just dey waste their time to nurse the agenda ni.
You dey put your trust on top politicians?
larride: This is a targeted agenda. Majority of SW Muslims are against it and those pushing it are majorly from the North.
Just relax and observe.
I know it is a targeted agenda, because how come the SW now needs to have Sharia suddenly?
raumdeuter: It has nothing to do with the Moslem-Moslem ticket
Shariah was launched in Nigeria mostly in the Northern states under Obasanjo a Christian, There were some attempts under Christian leadership where we see Moslems push for Hijab wearing in legacy missionary schools.
Under Aregbesola in Osun we saw how it led to a crisis where christian students started coming to school with religious attire and traditional did the same
We are not talking about Hijab and Missionary schools, sir.
We are talking about forcing Sharia into the mouths of people that clearly do not want it; the SW
I have never seen this happen at any point until we now have 2 Muslims as Presido and 2IC.
Tinubu most likely has nothing to do with it, but this is already part of the cons of it.
Even Obi and Atiku cannot promise a Sharia free SW if asked, talk more of Tinubu. He either supports it with his chest, or keeps mum and let it slip in.
iamoyindamola: Unless war happens What happens to the Christians If they say it's only for Muslims, shebi if I no enter their mosque they can't arrest me
To be honest, the probability of it happening is rising.
From public office holders, to Chief Imams...
But how come these people never had a voice since? As soon as Muslim-Muslim ticket happen, e come be like say SW is incomplete without Sharia
Amigoss: At least 1cow,goats and fowl, musician or at least a DJ,mount tents then enough foods and drinks is honourable enough for an average people wey no hold bar....
But if your parents cross 80 or papa na odionwere(title of an eldest man in the community) or okaegbe(Head of the family),omo na gbese ooooo...
1 cow for Average person wey no hold bar?
I price Cow for December...The cheapest I saw was 1.1 million
Average person wey no hold bar go buy 1 cow?
semid4lyfe: Bruh, trust me I asked the same questions.
I even asked momsy why a dead person was appearing in her dream and told her to go to MFM Prayer city to do deliverance
She admonished me not to be flippant, and said she knows what she dreamt.
Trust me, it wasn't easy for us to do the proper burial rites after all the years that had passed but at the end we caved in because we didn't want to leave any stone unturned.
We concluded shebi na to spend money, ehn make we spend the money
What is an "honourable" way to bury?
Because if na Zenco and Obi Cubana style, my parents and ancestors go cry tire oh.
swiz123: In Anambra State, Nteje, some parts of Umuleri, and I think Dunukofia. I think in Dunukofia or somewhere in Anambra state, burial ceremony can last for 3 days where people eat and drink for 3 consecutive days.
My friend who's maternal grandma from Nteje died in 2018 aged 98 years was billed 5 cows cos she was the oldest person in the whole of Nteje prior to her death. The whole family couldn't afford her burial ceremony and now her oldest son has passed few weeks ago and he is also well aged. According to culture, they can't perform burial rites for the man unless his mom's own is fully observed. If they decide to perform rites for both now, they should be looking at 8 cows minimum.
That means there is no poor man in Nteje or Dunukofia, which you and I know is not true.
While I agree that there are burials that can go for days or have high demands, most times, it is because the person has a Chieftaincy title they collected.
Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think there's a village that will require a minimum of 3 cows from anybody in the name of culture before you get buried. It means that farmers there no go die or get buried.
In cases like the one you mentioned, most likely the person is titled
swiz123: Are you really sure about the bolded? In some towns, culture demands that you bury well aged parents with minimum of 3 cows! with some goats to go along with it. Many groups are given what they request which run into hundreds of thousands. If you fail to fulfill any of those obligations, the burial will not be recognized by the village.
We were forced to spend 1.5M to bury my grandma and when this money is adjusted for inflation, it is easy 6 to 7M.
Do you mind sharing places that have this culture?
People that could not make school team for Principal’s Cup are allowed to criticise players but people that were seasoned internationals and champion’s league winners should keep quiet.
I struggle to understand the point
DeadPresidents: Raumdeuter’s insults are already factored into VVD’s compensation. His memes are transformed into cold, hard pounds that hit VVDs account every Thursday.
So we’re allowed to criticise footballers as they get paid more handsomely than most occupations for activities that most will argue are not mission-critical
So what about the criticisms and insults of a fellow pro footballer?
raumdeuter: I never went on the field to play pro football, I criticize him because I see what other great defenders like Boateng have done vs what VVD is doing
So you have zero experience of professional football, but you can criticize. Like...It's very okay to do that
But someone with years of experience, cannot criticize his fellow pro footballer (though he's better). He should shut up, while you, that have zero experience can talk abi?
You guys need to listen to yourself, please
raumdeuter: If you will criticize as a job then make sure you meet a certain standard. A pro footballer who was bottom tier on the field telling Ronaldo how to shoot, Why didnt he do the same on the field
So you that is criticizing VVD, which one you do for field?
swiz123: While I agree that what you said applies to many, I should also point out that some people are naturally frugal.
My friend who we played in the same team has a brother in Dubai who sent him a game which included some basket ball games too. He staked 30 naira on it and won 31k or there about. His brother called him and told him to since the game entered, he should send their mom 500k. That was when he opened up that he only staked 30 naira and his brother nearly went mad.
After a lot of begging, he agreed to continue sending if he sees. He told me this story when he shared the booking code his brother sent to him. I asked him how many has failed since then and he said up to 12 slips within the space of 3 months. I staked 1,500 on it and it cut . I staked 1500 the next time and it cut again. The next one he sent, I staked 800 and luckily, I won 920k. I staked 800 over the course of 6 months and I finally gave up.
I didn't allow greed to blind me and na why I chop them run. Some could have increased their staking amount but I didn't. So the problem here is greed.
