CSU can not even say for certain whether the Tinubu in their file records is the same Tinubu the president of Nigeria. They just believed he is the same.

Now I am seeing Tinubu submitted NYSC certificate and the name on it has Adekunle.

Remember there have been controversies around it since he was governor. All he had to do was pick it up and save us all this drama and embarrassment. The optics for us as a nation is not good.

Our guys for instance are all over upwork and fiverr trying to get jobs from people who have seen numerous headlines of our president being labelled a certificate forger.

for institutions that generate a lot of paper there is something called a document retention and disposal policy. no business will hold on to hard copy documents indefinitely as storage comes with a cost

so if i make a request for a document and for whatever reason am unable to collect it after a period the document will be thrashed.

Can you make any sense of it? You went to school, graduated, had reasons to request for your certificate from the school, the school issued it, then you didn't pick it only for you to submit another that will always raise questions about it's integrity.

According to Tinubu, his certificate was stolen. I believe the one issued in June 22, 1979.

He ordered for replacement (June 27,1997 but on the replacement diploma it was typed June 27,1979) but he didn't pick it up.

The one he submitted to INEC was dated June 22, 1979. In the deposition I saw, they called it INEC diploma for simplicity sake.

I believe here is your confusion. Lemme try and explain below.

Before you forged or redo or whatever you must have a format. Like if someone wants to forge your degree you have to give him/ her the certificate to see the format right?

So the certificate Tinubu gave INEC matches the format of CSU certificate in years like CSU 9, 10 12 and other year but the INEC certificate was not issued to him by CSU.

The only valid argument here like said by others like Android17 and Nihilistjnr is that indeed Tinubu graduated from CSU

When we graduated from Ife they handed to us a very flimsy looking A4 paper called a To whom it may concern. And that A4 paper was what we used to apply for jobs

If you get a job at any company say Chevron or apply for Masters. It's a copy of that paper you will hand over. It's now Chevron or the Master university responsibility to verify by either contacting the school independently or requesting a transcript
