Nigerians in government agencies will always find a way to frustrate Any DIY. If you like set it up online - the website will start to hang or freeze and you will have to pay someone at the backend to do it. Unless immigration gets several Oloyede type ogas, this will continue. As it is I am sure they are waiting for Oloyede to exit jamb so the good old money snake eating days can return.

The difference is that the agent will prepare a file containing physical documents that he will go and submit in the office to fasttrack what he has submitted online.

DIY is 25k
Agent is 45k

Even if the PCO is getting 3k on every file, he may not touch his salary and allowances till he is transferred or retired

They have backlogs, they are moving faster than in Aregbsolas time but they havent cleared every backlog

The backlog was so bad that they told people abroad they can travel with expired Nigerian passports. In 2020 to 2021 I doubt anything moved regarding passport collection. It ground to a halt. 7 to 12months were typical saying they didnt have booklets

To even get slot for capture was hard, now its easier but they have not cleared the backlogs
