raumdeuter:Buhari was not packing his NW brothers into everything. Everything is Yoruba. I was hoping the EFCC won't be true.. Sadly, it is. Even the North that made him win, e sideline them. The South that probably should enjoy his nepotism while it lasts, e sideline them |

BlueRayDick:Almost everybody driving is angry And its best to just avoid any form of altercations as much as you can. One day, a guy hit me from behind. I came down to see the dent, and this guy just sat in his car. He didn't move. He didn't apologise I looked again, and i saw McOluomo stickers on his fenders, saw Jagaban logo and all that. I just carry my two legs enter my own drive off. ![]() This one pass me abeg |
Just use Julius Berger and CCECC You will know who has better working conditions just by looking at the on site labourers |
GrammarNazi1:When i see people compare them to Nigerians, i laugh My friend worked in a bakery own by them. For every single slice of bread that you make a mistake, they deduct your salary...I mean EVERY SINGLE SLICE Sometimes, your salary is almost gone before the month ends. These guys no send holidays or sickness or leave. The ones that do detergent work from 7am to 7pm. 1 hour break. No sitting down. You will package detergents with just one nose mask. By 7pm, your face is already turning red. Their daily pay is always 500 to 750. Maybe it has increased now sha |
Malawi becomes the First country in the world to provide free internet in schools, hospitals and markets. |
Melvyn11:Come to Kirikiri road, and let me give you a tour on some of these Lebanese companies that produce detergents That's when you will know we have mad love for ourselves as Nigerians |
BlueRayDick:It happened last year, i think. Addo road, Ajah People move about with so much anger these days. I don't know if it is the country or that is their default mode. Imagine if one of them had a gun. |
Nihilistjnr may be right. Israel did set a trap for Hamas, and they fell for it. |
KingTom: ![]() Funnily enough, this vehicle was not expensive oh I don't know about now sha |

OasisX:Maybe he meant cheaper in a long term. Nothing is wrong with Asphalt. Just maintain it. Seal it every few years. Umahi is starting to become the grandmaster of Elephant projects. No be him build airport wey flight no dey? He can convince us that gold is best for constructing roads. He has earned that place. |
raumdeuter:Yeah. I think that is where Nigerians misunderstood it, or BUA wanted to be mischievous You are selling to a wholesaler at 3500 and you are announcing it. Is he supposed to sell at 3500 too? |
GloriousGbola:I have always wondered what that FERMA does sef. |
......according to him, Contractors are using adultrated bitumen thus affecting quality of the asphalt roads. He made mention of East-West Road from Bayelsa to River Axis which is completely washed off already, then compare it to concrete roads built by Dangote in Lagos. Also, Cement Manufacturers have keyed in and promised to supply Contractors at cheaper rate. He further argued that it also will reduce pressure on Naira since there won't be need for Bitumen importation anymore. Kindly watch the link bro, honestly he made valid points. West road became terrible when the last floods came. How can a minister be comparing that to Apapa Oshodi expressway that does not experience any floods? Also, concrete roads do well under oil spills, but they are not flexible, so they can break if a heavy object falls on it. Concrete roads are easier to maintain but expensive to repair. The inverse goes for Asphalt. The money they are spending on concrete roads can revive a Bitumen plant here and create jobs, thereby providing the specified Bitumen for the job. |
OasisX:The very first issue is that they are very expensive, and the country does not have that now. The money you will use to construct a 400km of concrete, may construct up to 700km of asphalt. At a time when we are struggling to have good roads everywhere, why should we do that? There is nothing wrong with Asphalt. Advanced countries still use Asphalt, even more that concrete. I just don't understand how we became so obsessed with cement overnight. I can go on and on with comparisons, but it can also be found on Google. The first and only issue is that we cannot be wasting scarce resources on concrete |
OasisX:Nope I do not entirely subscribe to using cement only. |
Only one comment today. Let me make it two! |
