Roland17: Personally, I would have advised him not to respond because he has jus fueled the fire even more. Situations like these are inevitable, especially during election season. Soludo will do well to focus on governance so he doesn't get distracted and is pitched against his own people unconsciously. There is no rule that states he must support PO, however, he must understand that his position as Governor of a state is a very sensitive one.
For the records, I am a strong supporter of Chukwuma Soludo. I think he needed to put this out. After that interview on Channels, that guy has been dragged recklessly. Pictures of his kids on the net....The bullying was horrible. It's good he sets the record straight. At least, everyone knows where he stands. If Ndi Anambra don't want him, they should vote him out in the next election. |

GloriousGbola: I have said repeatedly that Peter obi had an opportunity to turn apga into a true regional party. That is the real path to political power. But the man lacks the discipline and vision to do that. So here we are Even Rochas became governor through APGA. Well, i have killed the dream of seeing the SE getting Presidency. Jodera: Yeah, they should skip it. If I'm the government, I would never subscribe to short gain over long term issue.
But then, no matter the boycott, people will still turn up Short gain, my left nyash. Blatter already said he regretted allowing Qatar win the bid. Hopefully, we won't get to see an intolerant country host that event in the future. Even Russia wey Putin dey share the air wey dem dey breathe, no do this one |

Jodera: Not saying insane literally. What I mean is that, dem no go die or Sick or feel dehumanised if they stick to the rule.
That's just it means to being tolerant. Moreover, it's not by force to attend it, so if you feel you'll die, fall sick or feel dehumanised (which I shouldn't be), then it's better the individual just stay home.
That's just my point Well, people are actually protesting to boycott the WC. So, maybe your solution is being adopted |

Jodera: In terms of the religious aspects, Thank goodness we have Bible in phones now. That to me shouldn't be a problem. If any pastor doesn't feel comfortable, I think he should skip it.
Moreover, what are the very strict regulations that they're imposing let me know. All these LGBT, not bringing of Bible or Koran, not bringing in porn/sex related materials and stuff or alcohol are all too petty to for any sane individual not to tolerate Tbh. So anybody that cannot tolerate the ban of alcohol, or the intolerance of Qatar in a WC for 28 days might be insane abi? |

Jodera: Is there a law in USA that is against Muslim women wearing hijab to stadium presently. If there is, then yes they're in their right to do so. If no, it means they specifically made the rule to witch-hunt Muslim women which is a no no.
I mean, is Qatar just making all these laws recently? Were in favor of alcohol, pornographic material and LGBT before now? So why should they do away with it just because of a 28-day event? You are just dancing around the point, my oga The event comes with people of different cultures attending it. People from the Western world who are more Liberal, attending it. It is very intolerant to force people to adopt your religious rules in such an event. I find it funny that you are asking for tolerance from the visitors, not the hosts. Well, a Bible believing Pastor can't even go with his Bible to watch WC. Qatar immigration will seize it, and Jodera thinks its okay |

would be ironic knowing Islams stance on lying as one of the cardinal sins

Jodera: I believe they're called "hosts" for a reason and they've some rights to restrict some stuff as long as it doesn't contravene to human right laws, FIFA laws and/or injurious human beings.
Most of these things being banned is something that's against their rule and it won't seriously affect any sane human being in any way. If it does affect, then it would be in a minority. Should a country circumvent a law just because it affects some minority just because dem wan host world cup? For 28days for that matter. Who should be tolerant of who in this case?
In this life, We need to be tolerant of one another. If the USA hosted the next WC, and bans women from wearing hijab, who would you ask to be more tolerant? Would you ask USA to be tolerant and allow Muslim women wear hijab? Or would you ask Muslim women to be more tolerant and open their hair for 28 days? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by izzou(m): 4:21pm On Nov 14, 2022 |
Jodera: Tbh, I don't see anything wrong in this. Banning alcohol is not injustice to humans and it's something that can be tolerated for 28days. The other lists itself shouldn't even be up for any debate The intolerance from Qatar is just too much, IMO. You want to host an event involving the Western world, but it has to be on your own rules? I am not a fan of all those banned items or activities, but i don't support the ban at all. If you can't accept everybody's culture for 28 days, you have no business bidding for the hosting rights |

Olowunl01: No vex Bro; na me f up; cos I dey do back n forth with person ontop working for multinational... Especially as diasporian. Our stake is minimal, so we don't need to try bamboozle people, gosh wetin be working with MNC; simple question on Tinubu level at the multi national coy wey you dey hype, you can't say? Bros hype Tinubu as a strategist, as a political genius - here only blind Obidients would argue, not hyping working in MNC to belittle a chairman of a whole bank? No wonder DonJ dey question our true intentions as diasporians.
Forget all the shalaye, as a lagosboy you suppose know wetin dey sup with Tinubu, All these deloitte story na wash.
You Tinubu guys are stuck as Tinubu cannot truely campaign as if he is in opposition, cant really proffer alternative solution to myriad of issues as he cannot unlike other contestant criticize Buhari govt? As aside from being an enabler, he also wants to benefit from Buhari northern votes. Hence the resort to hyping the non existent model city of lagos, abi Tinubu lagos.
Tinubu is the only candidate that the people he wants to lead have not heard directly from? Except in party packaged settings; Why? A whole greater than Awolowo, abi Awo's prodigy? Tinubu with polish phonetics and cityboy/lagos boy swag will be running away from debate; something is wrong cos prime Tinubu will wipe the floor with both candidates.
Nigerians need to hear directly from him; especially since Buhari denied all previous promises made by Tinubu & co. Is Tinubu promising to make $1=1Naira? Solve Electricty issue with 6months? Defeat Boko Haram, HerdsMen in 3Months? Sell all aircraft in the presidential fleet, since he already has a better private jet ? Introduce the previously promised student loan? Fuel scarcity, ASUU strike What is his plan in managing our diversity?etc.
Do I doubt that Tinubu can solve to some extent or has capacity for fixing some of these issues - No, not at all, same goes for Obi & Atiku; we need to know the HOW? Then electorate can decide which solution they buy into; it is demeaning to say majority of the electorate are uneducated or cant understand, After over 40yrs since introduction of free education; if dey dont understand we or their family that understand will break it down for them. I read the bolded up to three times. Thank you! |
