Segedinho: What was d main lesson from d BBC clip
banditry fed on d insincerity of d FG and went awol..
Had d presidency fulfilled their part of d bargain...banditry would have in a very inconsequential state but oh No politics must be involved.
They tasted kidnapping for ransom and realised d FG was/is weak .....
Banditry presently is a biz in its own right that must be quashed either by dialogue as their is a negotiator or by force... Kindly tell us the bargain, let us hear. Tell us what Bandits are agitating for, that the government needs to fulfil. |

But if you want to I'm good with it too I have always said Buhari is unserious with his fight against insecurity. Bandits are not a sect. They are wicked people who rob, kill and kidnap for money. A serious government would have arrested Gumi, and used him as a bait to end banditry. We rarely hear of bandits caught, tried and jailed. Rather we have seen ransoms paid back to back. If Obi is meeting with Gumi, he wont be better than Buhari in tackling insecurity. We would keep hearing of Banditry and ransom payments if Obi wins. That is exactly what it means. I dont defend nonsense bros. Obi is not my bloodline that i should defend |

Emmynator: All we should be concerned about is curtailing the effects of climate change on our country. The west won't or shouldn't have to help with that.
However, I agree that if the West wants us to comprehensively embark on climate change war, especially in terms of prevention, then they should support. Most climate friendly measures are really really expensive. I am still trying to understand that stance though Somalia has serious drought issues. Maybe they should wait for US to give them money to solve their problems. |

Obi visited Gumi, alot of Obidients called it out on twitter. It was northerners who basically had no skin in the game for Obi that talked about the need to be seen with Gumi as it helps how he is viewed up north. Personally I don't like it but the man has said he will dialogue with everyone (bar those who are actually convicted) at first.
You called my MCM on BBC and I told you to wait till after campaigns are done to hear more on what he has to say. You went on to talk about how the country is finished and there's no hope.
Support of Gumi? Support? Obi has never shied away from any invite from an influential citizen. Even if Tinuke invites Obi today, he will honour it.
Lmao its funny you think we are gullible. Some of us have experienced Nigeria in ways you cannot imagine and we are more grounded in our views. That you don't share the same enthusiasm doesn't make your POV a more realistic one.
So again which are you.. The pessimist who sees nothing good about the country or the optimist who lies to himself coz he fears disappointment?
You know where you stand and when you finally decide to tell yourself the truth.. Then we can really talk And i ask you, what would Obi dialogue with Gumi on? Or Gumi Import and Export Limited is no longer a problem to us again? |

BlueRayDick: I told someone at work yesterday that we are in for a worse choice than we had in 2015 going by all I’ve seen , heard and assessed from the top 3 presidential candidates in 2023 presidential election .
We all know Atiku and Tinubu antecedents and no amount of whitewashing from their supporters will make them what they never were . The Obi that was supposed to be the third force is not exciting one bit ! He’s had the record of being a PDP member that didn’t do anything different from His fellow billionaires on the a ballot box. His inconsistencies on critical issues are there for objective minds to see ……
The election don tire person before e start sef .
Outside all these online back and forth from loyalists, supporters and antagonists; 2023 election will make or break what’s left of this country honestly . Let's even forget their antecedents for a moment. Can anybody point is to where any of them have given us a realistic plan that we can scrutinize and look through Tinubu said he will make the country proper....How Just insecurity alone, Nobody has said anything realistic |

Because I know you, once it gets long you'll suddenly start bringing up the fact the country has no hope and all Tinubu also answered all questions too. If you had spent just an extra second to understand what i wrote, you would have seen i wasn't talking about giving mere words to life threatening problems. Till today, no plan on insecurity. I called your MCM on the BBC interview, and he avoided it. You didn't even give me any answers, rather you gave your opinion. Obi visited Gumi, and you all interpreted it as negotiating with various sects. So which sect does Gumi represent? I don't want to believe you are gullible to think Obi is not offering Gumi something in return for support. So if Obi needs Gumi's support, what will he offer Gumi? |

Just listening to both candidates (Obi and BAT) shows we are in for a long thing come 2023.
These guys are not sincere, have no plans to solve Nigeria's problems. The only plan they have currently is how to win in 2023.
BAT is not that master strategist we once knew. This guy does not have any plan to tackle any problem, rather he drops proverbs and incoherent lines and leaves his supporters to do the interpretation. I am yet to watch him give us a solution on our problems, except for "I built Lagos and I'll do it again".
As for Obi, he's just reciting the problems with a few Squawka stats to back it up. He is not telling us any plan yet. If only his supporters can be objective and listen with an open mind.
I really wish we would drop banters, blind support and trolling and look at the irredeemable solution we are about to jump in. We are talking about our future here..
Let's scrutinize these guys like people who know what they want....The way your mother would price and select groceries in the market.

raumdeuter: Even Trump as president disregarded climate change and pulled out of the climate change accord saying its making production more expensive in the US, putting US producers at a disadvantage and making China control global production
Do you know that climate change preach against using fossil fuel which is Nigerias main income earner. So Nigeria in order to do climate change should stop oil production and the money from it because the world will collapse one day
Who will finance our budget if we stop oil production and embrace climate change
US problems are different than Nigerias problem.
Biden that is championing climate change and move away from oil, after gas price increased, he started begging Saudi and Venezuela to increase production
You cannot kill yourself today because you are scared of death coming in 30yrs time Saudi Arabia is one of the largest producers of oil, yet they are very committed to climate change. raumdeuter: This is a real solution but in the Nigerian context how practicable is this where most of our cooking fuel(Firewood) comes from cutting down trees. Almost 60% of Nigerians use trees to cook their meals
So how will you tell them to stop using free trees and start using other fuels that are relatively expensive. You are poor you manage get food, to get firewood to cook it and someone comes with climate change bla bla bla. . To you at that point that is a rich man problem
Which is why Tinubu is telling the west unless they give us money or support us financially we are not in a position to start combating climate change
Thats how you negotiate. US you want us to do climate change? Give us this amount and forgive our debts So, what happens if the West doesnt give you money? You cut down all your trees, and hope it affects them (not us) so they can give us money? What makes your argument laughable is that you stay in a 1st world country, and you are actually holding on to this point So US should give us money to plant trees? |
