Still using project to cover your weak argument. Bridge is complete. Commuters will use it accessing link roads pending completion of the main access roads but know you're bothered about 2024 when bridge is ready in 2022 grin

It's ok bro do you lol

“The second phase of the project has yet to commence, but the government has deemed it fit that upon completion of the first phase, it will be open to traffic.

“At the Onitsha end, there is an interchange at Oba, where you can access the bridge, and on the Asaba end, there is a link road we are constructing to enable travellers to access the bridge from the Benin-Onitsha road.”

Your argument is really strong.

Go and look at the post you quoted to tag me. The guy said Second Niger BRIDGE won't be ready until 2024 is that what the link said?

The link I showed you indicated commuters will be able to use the bridge and access other link roads.

“The bridge project is 95 per cent complete, and it is expected to be delivered by the end of December 2022, but there is a second phase, which is a 3.3-kilometre road approach on the Delta side and a 7-kilometre approach road on the Anambra side that is yet to commence.

“The second phase of the project has yet to commence, but the government has deemed it fit that upon completion of the first phase, it will be open to traffic”, he said.

He added that the bridge would be accessed from the interchange at Oba on the Onitsha-Owerri road, as a road was being constructed to connect traffic on the Asaba-Benin Expressway to it, pending the completion of the second phase.
He added that the bridge would be accessed from the interchange at Oba on the Onitsha-Owerri road, as a road was being constructed to connect traffic on the Asaba-Benin Expressway to it, pending the completion of the second phase.
You are saying what I am saying

The bridge itself is complete. The road to climb the bridge and come down is not done yet

So, I don't understand how you're forcing the government to say they have finished the project when they are clearly telling you it is not finished

There is a 3km path to climb the bridge from Asaba. It has not commenced

There is a 7km path after you exit the bridge at Onitsha. it has not commenced

Bruh the reason why nobody has challenged the story is because its Oshodi.

He said he was on pedestrian bridge and was beckoned at to come and he ran. He didn't state what direction he ran, but he mentioned being dragged into a BRT terminal. You posited that there's no BRT terminal where area boys are operating from in that axis and all I did was try to point u to a part of the terminal I do see those urchins sit and smoke( based on my observation when I pass that route)

Even on the oshodi oke bridge sef, RRS usually park their patrol vans there yet those boys show people shege in traffic.

Myself and my wife(both Yorubas) lived and worked in Onitsha between 2015 and 2018. While there are occasional tribal slurs thrown at us, it was insignificant. Off my head, I can only remember it happening twice in three years.

I had no issues renting an apartment, I had a very cordial relationship with my neighbours, my wife had a good relationship with her Co workers who of course are mostly Ibos.

The nature of my work at the time also involved a lot of travel to nearby states like Owerri, Enugu, Ebonyi e.t.c I remember travelling to Owerri 17 times in one month. The only state I really didnt go then was Abia state. So it's safe to say my experience was not just limited to Onitsha.

I cannot in all honesty say the East is the most tribalistic place in Nigeria except this is a recent development with the IPOB/ESN thing.

If u are coming from Anthony, after the lastma headquarters u will climb the bridge as if u are going towards mile 2, once u get to the end of the bridge u will turn to Ur right to descend the bridge ( There's a bad portion of the road after u descend the bridge as if u are going to Cappa), it's at the point of descending the bridge u will see where they park broken down BRT buses..... There's a park there where those guys sit and smoke hemp. I believe that's where the guy was describing
That's the last bus stop for buses coming from Ajah and Berger. There is usually traffic there, and it is always busy

So, he was dragged from the pedestrian bridge at the other side, and brought here with nobody seeing him, only a military guy?

Hope you know when you take that bend to go to Cappa, there's an RRS unit there?

I guess we will have to wait till election period to see if Ur inference is right or wrong. INEC recently conducted an election in Anambra and APC was on the ballot. I believe whoever was their candidate must have campaigned and canvassed for vote there.

My point is if as recent as November 2021 an election was conducted with Apc on the ballot amd actually winning votes, then maybe things are not as bad as we are made to believe.

There is only one place where you'll find a terminal and a pedestrian bridge together, and that's the one Ambode built.

The next pedestrian bridge is at Charity bus stop, near the Military barrack on Apapa/Oshodi expressway

If you're on Lagos/Abeokuta expressway, the next is around Shogunle or PWD (I think). And sadly. we can't call that place Oshodi

Well, I don't live in the east and I don't how accommodating easterners are( I live u and those who live in the east to decide that)

While its true that Lagos is accommodating, it's not all rosy and peaceful as u may want to assume. There are some areas u don't want to get caught up in Lagos at the wrong time. There are some "accommodating" people in Lagos that will not let out their properties to u, there are some accommodating places u cannot even profess Ur admiration openly for a perceived enemy of theirs, etc.

These things happen almost everywhere due to the mentality of people who populate such areas. I remember mentioning it here that some states in the north would not allow Christians build churches at the centre of the town. Funny enough one of the Bishops that recently spoke at Tinubu's meeting with Northern pentecostal bishops confirmed this as one of the grievances they tabled before him.

I believe the same way this condemnable act took place at Oshodi, other parts of the country will have pockets of such incidence where over zealous supporters would harm supporters of opposition party. But the way u generalise and just assume it can only be worse in the east reeks of agenda
The moment you see someone generalise and assume, just know they never stayed there.

Not trying to take anything from Flagboi story oh.

But I really no believe this thing. Make una no vex

OK, so we went to Oshodi today for the regular flag movement we usually do every week, like twice a week, so we decided to go to the Oshodi location today.

So, on getting there, while I was moving on the pedestrian with my flag, some group of guys started calling us from the terminal. So and I suspected that they were calling us for something else . . .for something bad. I decided to run.

So unknown to me that they've already captured the camera guy.

So while I was running, I got to the park. There is no way I can escape because the vehicles had to wait for passengers to load before they can move. So that was where I got stuck, then the rest, they came and captured me like a thief. They just carried me.

So luckily, fortunately for me, while we were going we saw a military guy. The military guy was trying to stop them, they couldn't stop. They took us straight to the terminal. The military guy followed us from behind.

So, on getting to the terminal, inside, the chairman immediately took the flag stick, the iron, started wiping us left and right. The other one broke bottle, then the military guy was able to stop the guy that broke the bottle.

So, they even poured fuel on this one (he points at his cameraman), they smashed the phone that was inside his pocket (we see the smashed phone), so if not for the help of the military guy, I don't know, they would have light up the fuel and that would have been a different case.
The only terminal with a pedestrian bridge at Oshodi is the one Ambode built.

So area boys took him inside, and poured fuel on him there?

Are there even area boys inside the terminal?

Make una no vex oh. But this story never done
