BlueRayDick: "Buhari cannot just wake up and dash any country money without any strong reasons for it. "
Like Buhari didn't gift Afghanistan $1m. That was for what strong reason if I may ask?
Here u are not knowing any reasonable reason why the 1.4billion naira of tax payers' money was spent on a foreign country but u are willing to.just give Buhari the benefit of doubt like " I trust him, e no fit 4ckup "......WTF!
Buhari that was asked in an interview why they are building the rail line to Niger and couldn't give a cogent reason other than we have brothers and sisters and relatives there who we can't cut off.
Omo! Una wey dey defend this goverment ehn, I don't even know what to say to u.
Incentives, my brother
We give them to poor countries to encourage them in their fight against insecurity. $1 million cannot solve any problem here.
monerozi5590: Some people will go at every length to defend nonsense. I don't know whether they are trying to sound woke or something. Funny enough, these are intelligent guys oh! Kai!
I was expecting to see Somalia or Niger or even countries in the same insecurity mess as ours donating Land cruisers..
But it had to be my beloved USA and China.
Two countries I am willing to do rituals just to get their Resident permit
No, I'm not. Don't give me a score I don't deserve.
Android17: The Govt building China donated to Zimbabwe what was it for? I don't understand people's insularity tbh.
Who said the Landcruiser was for directly fighting the insecurity or is it not possible that Nigeria is using it to incentivize a poorer country that shares border with us to continue with its effort to fight insecurity?
Just look at what you're saying.
So, to incentivize a poor country, you buy very expensive vehicles that you don't even use to fight security in your own country?
Android17: lol. I had to become an APC faithful because I asked a question. I never told you our revenue is comparable to USA and China. I asked if the monies spent by those countries on foreign policy could not find better use in their own countries. I know you guys get emotionally charged when someone goes against the grain. It is not new. Many people will rather be with the majority and be wrong, than be in the minority and be right.
You can barrage your govt with criticisms - it is allowed, but it also has to make sense or else it will be hot air. You're saying 1.4B Naira could have found better use in Nigeria rather than to the Nigerien govt right? Another person said this is happening with ASUU on strike abi? I now asked if that amount would have been sufficient to fix the ASUU issue. That is what made me an APC faithful. lol
I have asked you a question you haven't answered yet. It's starting to become a norm, unlike the Android I know who like facts
Do we (Police, Army, Navy, OPC, Bakassi, Amotekun, etc) use 140 million naira Land cruiser to fight insecurity here?
Skimpledawg: It's here I found out that Land cruisers are used to fight insecurity.
As in....
The country that is donating does not even use Land cruisers of 140 million to fight insecurity
We have Zamfara that is almost having little military presence. Those guys are just killing themselves
1.4 billion can equip our Police, Military and the vigilantes
Let me not even suggest how that sum can help prepare for elections next year, assist contractors on government projectsespecially now that the dollar rate is choking. That sum can do something to help us as a country.
Buhari never talk wetin him get with Niger government.
kingBolton: I just hope the colwill transfer is not permanent. I didn't want colwill in the squad this season but I also don't want him to be sold permanent
Android17: Haba. I am saying you are trying to incentivize them for their effort. Abi, is that not part of foreign policy?
You have been bringing up examples of USA and China...Countries that their GDP would only be a dream for us
Why not show us countries as broke and poor as Nigeria, doing giveaway for another country when almost nothing works here, and see if you won't tag it foolishness and corruption.
It is here we would read that our military is understaffed and underpaid. It is still here we would justify buying 1 Land cruiser for 140 million just to tackle insecurity.
There's nothing you won't justify under Buhari.
Of all APC faithfuls, you are one of a kind. I must commend you
Android17: My poser was not necessarily about what you said or did not. I am asking why it is egregious that the Nigerian govt purchased vehicles for their Nigerien counterparts. Are they not collaborating to fight insecurity?
Fight insecurity with Land cruiser vehicles that cost 140 million each?
Is that the type of vehicle we use to fight insecurity here?
Android17: Izzou, if they give N1.4B to ASUU will the strike be over? Biden has given over $60B to Ukraine, ask Raumdeuter if there are no border walls in Texas that require less than $5B that Biden refused to build or if there are no homeless people strewn across the US that even $10B will help re-accomodate.
So, your point is 1.4B cannot solve any problem here. It is best donated to another country to solve theirs....
BlueRayDick: MURIC sha wan scatter the peace and harmony that exists between Christians and Muslims in the south-West sha .
Na when the guy show face we begin see Christians and Muslims fighting each other for right to wear Hijabs and other stuff that we’re never issues. I attended a public secondary school in Lagos and Tuesdays and Fridays Muslim Assembly prefects conduct assembly the Muslim way while every student follows the programme irrespective of ur religious leanings . The Christian assembly prefects conduct theirs on Monday , Wednesday and Thursday .
On the Muslim days the students are allowed to use hijabs if they do wish and it was never an issue .
Since the day MURIC has come to limelight he’s just been doing everything possible to fan embers of division amongst these peaceful neighbors . Mehn!
I think MURIC is the one people should be asking the question : “ Who is bankrolling you ? “
Hahahahahahaha
Obi seems to be the gentle one amongst the 4.
He is not using the Christian factor to his advantage
BlueRayDick: If the government apologizes it means they are taking responsibility for their wrong doing ; yes that’s meaningful at least to someone like me .
It’s a starting point , as against the total disregard for the people whom u were elected to serve
Okay....Maybe to you.
Someone clearly imported adulterated fuel. That's an intentional act. So any apology is just empty.
You have done it, mopped your profits and then give me the Sorry to pacify myself.
Theflint1: Nigerian police officers can be quite annoying. Rufai claimed they pulled their gun on him and knowing policemen for what they are, that's definitely their character. You pull a gun on a man for a civil offence, it's two things, you either humble him or bring out the beast in him, can't fault Rufai for coming out guns blazing himself.
I am not defending the police. I'm just stating that the person you are making a case for, won't be different from A corrupt politician if given the power.
I can't say how many driving hours I have in Lagos, but I have never been caught on a BRT, because I don't use it. This is different from parking at unauthorised places or Traffic light wahala
The lane is very clear. Don't use it. So what was Rufai's car doing on it? It definitely must be juju
And then he came on Twitter to say he wanted to pay the fine and the officer was trying to collect his key...
Why won't they collect you key? Is the officer supposed to collect the money on behalf of the government?
BlueRayDick: There’s a reason why there are punishments stated in the criminal code for offenses committed . His apology is only meant for people who expected better behavior from him ( and these are objective members of the public , not politicians and their apologists who will always see him as an enemy cos of the job he does ) .
Penalties are there for u to learn ur lesson and desist from such acts .
Nigerians sometimes earlier this year bought adulterated fuel that was imported into the country under the supervision of a government owned agency . Has anybody been apologized to for having their engines knocked by the bad fuel , talk more of getting compensated ?
Rufai has done the right thing in tendering apology for his reckless behavior despite serving his punishment ……. Anybody that wants an apology that is not empty should fill up the apology for him
If the government apologises for the adulterated fuel, would it be meaningful?
BlueRayDick: What do u expect Rufai to do after being convicted of a crime he committed and paying the fine that comes with conviction ?
Is he supposed to wear a sack cloth , throw ashes on his head and fall on his knees crying to the God for forgiveness like people do in Biblical times ?
As far as I’m concerned he’s apologized to his family , friends, colleagues and well wishers who expected better behavior from him and that’s enough . He owes nobody else any apology ; however his detractors wish to view is apology is their headache .
I quite agree with you that he owes no one any apology. That's why I classified it as empty and useless.
Most times, it's not about being convicted and paying the penalty. Its about the intent.
What was Rufai looking for in a BRT Lane? He clearly broke the law, and to make it worse, was trying to bully the officer. Because he knew the governor, he was trying to bully the policeman...The very same thing our politicians and people in authority do.
Person never get constitutional power, e don dey shout "Do you know who I am"?
The apology is useless, my brother. He's no different from the people he's warning us about on TV
BlueRayDick: At this point I think some people are deliberately stupiiiid .
Rufai committed a traffic offence , he was rightly charged and he’s paid the fine that comes with conviction . Now he took a step further to apologize to people who expected him to act better being who he portrays himself to be in the public space ; but this buffoon below still has something unreasonable to say about his apology .
This idiottt going by his name is probably from Niger state where Bandits have taken over large areas of the state ; his governor has never apologized for failing the people , the dullard president Buhari has never apologized for failing the people of his state for not providing adequate security as the C-in-C ; yet Rufai Oseni’s apology is his problem ….. smh
As much as you're right, the guy is right too.
An empty, useless apology
If his state governor apologizes for failing his people, it would still be useless and empty.
There's no difference in character between Rufai and the state governor, if we are being honest
Theflint1: Clergy men can comment on governance but should try avoid partisan politics lest they be dragged. This man doesn't know what he's saying... PDP has had Southerners as presidents for 13/16 years it's been in power, the party's primary was open to everyone to contest and Atiku won.
Atiku and Tinubu have both shown us that they would violate any "Gentleman's agreement" to become president
But what I don't understand is why Rev Oluoma would choose to remove the speck from Atiku's eye, and ignore the beam in Tinubu's own
Oasis007: Rev. Fr. Chinenye Oluoma: 2019 nobody from the entire South contested the PDP primaries because everyone believed in the "gentlemanly agreement" that power will remain in the North. Atiku contested it with fellow northerners and won.
The same Atiku and his PDP goons from North and South scuttled that arrangement and emerged as presidential flag bearer for the 2023 elections.
Forget the APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket, the source of the whole problem is PDP. If APC has failed woefully as PDP claimed, then anybody from the southern region, even the worse performing governor should easily beat anyone APC brings out.
Bringing Atiku forth shows that PDP is lying all the while and is interested only in capturing power.
I thought the message was competence.
popizaino: Father lord forgive me for ever thinking Kante was close to this guy. The coach that sold this guy from real Madrid must be a fuckin racist.
