BlueRayDick: People like Alhaji Lie are stuck in the 90’s mentally ; they do need really the idea of free press , and they will not hesitate to silence any dissenting voice no matter how truthful that voice might sound.
He was the same person that had one guy locked up for weeks because that one did an audio poetry about his person and the propaganda he is known for . He didn’t even reason of going through the legal means of suing for defamation ( If he felt the material defamed him ) .
When u see people like that in position of power it just makes everything tire u But I heard the guy insult Lai wotoporously |

No father should have to go through that. Getting one child back and losing another in a flash. I had to pause for a while after the father said God was consoling him. Why open fire unnecessarily sef? Our armed forces need reorientation |

Same party so the failures of Buhari will also be on his head but during campaign, it's easier to say what he will do different than Buhari if given the chance. Though they might be in the same party, they are different individuals.
The electorate will now have the chance to send the party packing in total or not. It is what it is. True |

It's a different situation for the Incumbent's New guyOppositions would always use the negatives of the incumbent party to campaign. Its not the same for the new guy, which makes it more difficult for him That's why Tinubu is most dragged and talked about in this election. Buhari's shiit is splashing on him too |

nihilistjnr: I don't believe Buhari is to blame for what was happening in Zamfara. That documentary mentions beefs that have been going on for at least 10 years.
As a child, I remember reading the accounts of some American missionaries that were trying to establish a foothold in Gwoza , Borno state in the 70s, and how Muslims from surrounding villages would often attack and kill Christian villagers, how the rebels from the Chadian civil war would cross border and kill Christians, and how inter ethnic rivalries would see tribal warfare play out.
Thr only difference is that all thjs happened on a much smaller scale than now
In that BBC documentary, rhe narrator spoke of a bandit attack on a village that lasted 48 hours without police or military intervention.
The dismemberment of the Armed forces didn't begin under Buhari. Successive civilian governments have weakened the military to mitigate against aspiring coupists.
That is what we are seeing today. The first thing any serious HOS will do is ramp up recruitment to the police and armed forces. I personally think we need maybe 200k -400k new troops...however I'm a layman so my estimates are based on 'back of cigarette packet' maths.
Our armed forces lack numbers, motivation ahd equipment. If we found someone brave enough to rectify this issue, security issues would be a thing of the past immediately Lets work with that data Buhari has ruled for 7 years. That leaves us with about 3 years of the conflict when Buhari came. It was definitely in its infancy stage. I served in Kebbi state about 7 years ago. It was not insecure. I have walked a distance of 500m by 1am and nothing would happen to me (no jokes) I don't think that's feasible today. Buhari gats collect this one, bros |
