take it like this

I have a better chance squaring it out with an Hausa or Yoruba tribalist than a black has with a White man in a white man's country
And I ask you where?

You can never square anything with an Hausa tribalist in the far North.

An Hausa guy can never square anything with an Igbo tribalist in Onitsha.

That's why I asked that question. You need to have toured different regions before you make that hypothesis

we aren't talking about killings here.. people kill people at will irrespective of race

Am talking of one discriminating you either racially or tribally and you re helpless as no chance of fighting back..

Don't white crackheads kill whites too?

Am talking of one been made to feel less human..

An Hausa man can never make me feel less human neither will a Yoruba man..

It's far make sense, especially for Trucks going to East and North. It really cuts down their journey and Epe - Ijebu Ode Road is in good condition (recently constructed).

At Ijebu Ode, those going to East would continue on Owo - Benin Express Road, while those going to North would turn to Sagamu Road then link up to Lagos - Ibadan Expressway.

Those going to Lagos nko?

We are delighted to announce that the construction of Lekki Port is now at 95.65% completion.

Our management, board of directors, shareholders, EPC Contractors and the project manager remain focused on our objective to complete construction by September 2022

and start port operations by the end of the year.

The wait to behold a deep seaport with a container terminal operated with efficiency and world-class standards in Nigeria is almost over!
I'm hearing the trucks won't be able to pass through Lekki.

They would pass through Epe to Ijebu-Ode then back to Lagos. That na serious long journey.

I hope the government looks into that.

I'm happy for this project

There is nothing new Buhari is doing that we did not see in his previous stint. It’s the reason why I don’t think it is all about health but a lack of important competencies in leadership.
If you watch that doc, that interviewer said it took him about 9 months to have that talk with the bandit. (5 months to find him, and 4 months to initiate that talk)

What we watched maybe about 2 years of hardwork or more

Jangebe girls kidnap happened in 2021, and if you watch that doc, from the quality of the video, you'll see that BBC was present when they released the girls and that kid lost his life.

My point is that someone who isn't even our government with less intelligence, can present findings, but let's console ourselves with "Herders and Farmers have been clashing for ages".

The incompetence of this government when it comes to security cannot be measured

See don’t even get me started on the fire service system. They have a whole office and employees but not one fire truck in sight. At least the fire service station in my area didn’t have one before I left . Hopefully it’s different now. Now what are the employees supposed to be doing at work?
You can’t even call them when there’s an emergency.

Well those ministries are different because I don’t even know what their job description is. What are they ministering?

But something like government healthcare is a different beast. There must be sick people to care for. They work all the time like regular civil servants and get owed too . But they have to go or they get fired and they can’t play around at work or people will die.

I saw all that and I developed a deep dislike for the government and how they treated their employees. That’s why I don’t feel any type of way when some employees take advantage of the system. As long as no one is being put in harm’s way.
These guys are always busy, and deserve a higher wage.

But this is like just one out of many

Imagine a country where we have to provide our of means of getting water. Yet, we have a Ministry for Water resources. Every state even has a Water Board.

There are so many useless ones like that too

Exactly. They come to work because they know if they do not come, they’ll be fired. But that’s also why some of them take up side hustles in the work place.
I don’t doubt izzou when he said some of them don’t do anything but I totally understand.
I have a friend currently serving in a Federal Ministry in Abuja.

She goes whenever she likes. They do nothing in her department. Some days, they share money sef.

She can video call me for 3 hours at work. That's how jobless they are there.

I can tolerate a case for jobs outside the civil service. Most of them are paid to do nothing

I don’t blame them.

They get paid poorly and are expected to spend 5 days a week at work.
Leave early come back late.
add traffic on top of that.
And just like that, a miserly job ends up taking your whole life and youth.

If I’m a Nigerian civil servant, I’ll bring my laundry to work sef. Dem never see anything.
Most times, four people are doing one person's job.

If the civil service is restructured, many of them would be jobless

You need to visit some ministries and see how they are idling away doing nothing

Hourly payment would definitely favour the FG.

I would advise the incoming president to adopt this quickly

Some civil servants get paid to peel the egusi they would use to cook their soup in the evening, just because they peeled it in the office

One thing I noticed is the production period of some these equipment and gears that are being bought.

For example, the Super Tucano, the purchase was approved in 2017 and we paid, we got delivery of the super Tucano last year July. 4yrs after we paid. Within those 4yrs everywhere go don zeh now.

I dont know anything about military hardware but we shouldn't be buying hardware's that will take years to build when we have war we are battling.
I really don't think that military equipments like these are mass manufactured. They have to be pre-ordered (I fit dey wrong oh)

Also, it depends on how you pay too. Person wey pay fast, and person wey pay with "Ajo" style go get different pickup dates

What happened when Buhari won 2019?
A lot of them will pray that who ever won fails, so there is the satisfaction of "I told you so", to replace the pain of defeat. They will also criticize all actions of the winner too. I think by abd large, this will be the response, Obi supporters are not that many to cause any damage on large scales, there are actually very many reasonable Obidients.
At the extreme, those that dropped Biafra flag for LP logo will pick Biafra flag again, and start clamoring for separation.
When Buhari won in 2019, nobody was portraying Atiku us the saviour.

We just felt he should replace the current failure.

But these guys can't see any wrong with Obi. They are not objective and open minded.

They don't even believe its a contest, and there would be a winner which wouldn't be theirs.

the airforce keeps crashing jets and no one get punished.

all we hear is a jet crashed in a training exercise. and it ends there

no inquiry. was it poor maintenance, poor training, poor discipline?

it is one thing to buy a jet. but if you have no plan for maintaining it, or for proper training of the end users, then it is just wasted money.

which is probably a big part of the problem.

is all this military hardware being procured to tackle bandits and bunkerers, or is it for the kickbacks to the procurement officers?
Sometimes, it feels this way.

We can't be this equipped and we are finding it difficult to end banditry.

See as Buratai blow after his COAS post. He even join politics immediately. Ihejirika comes to mind too.
