Tinubu is hated as a result of many wrong interpretations......
Personally....i don't think he will just be there for the name "presidency" n nothing more..
He is going to be hand-tied even he really wonna do something good...
Tinubu is senile .......i cant wrap my head over d agbado n cassava speech........ Your question was on unification, and that's the point I answered. If there's anybody that would try and include all, that's the guy I know. I witnessed him put Igbo people in his government. I witnessed an Igbo guy run for APC, won and represented a constituency in Lagos state. He didn't win because he's Igbo. He won because Tinubu chose him. I witnessed him set up his candidates from the two major religions. I am just telling you the man I know and saw, not what I read or heard |

I grew up as a little boy when he was in AD. I remember Igbo names among his cabinet. I wouldn't know how all these degenerated along the line, but if you ask me who I trust to unify Nigeria amongst the three, Its Tinubu (emphasis on Unify). Yes, he has his greed and faults, but Tinubu is not tribalistic. I grew up witnessing that. Like I said, I don't know how we got here sha. Na my own experience I just tell you |

In fact, I won't be surprised if he's overthrown and military take over before he completes his term. When we say Obi has no Structure, most Obidients really don't understand what the Structure actually means.

larride: National politics are always different from regional or state politics. When you go National where you will have to cater to different interest and a wide range of people, there are some decisions that you will cede to others to make.
It's not that Buhari can't chose anyone he likes as VP or that he doesn't have any one in mind to pick as VP but it was the caucus of ACN that must produce the VP so he has no choice than to allow them pick from their midst.
The same thing is happening now, Tinubu cannot impose a VP on the Northern bloc, it has to be the northern bloc that will drop the VP pick. That's how alliance work in politics. We are still saying the same thing. Unlike Lagos, he doesn't have that control at the national level. So no matter how we salute his brilliance, it is limited. Just imagine presenting Shettima as Tinubu's vice, compared to when Tinubu gave Osibanjo to Buhari. Can you see the deep drop in quality? |

Oasis007: I am not exonerating Buhari, let me make it clear. All I am saying is; he has tried his best as well. I hope Tinubu wins though.... We know how he transformed RRS in Lagos, hopefully he can do same for all Security Architecture in Nigeria. Let me not even talk about Buhari again. As for Tinubu, he did really transform security in Lagos, but Lagos is not Nigeria. If there was one thing we trusted Buhari for, it was that he would change the security for good because he was a military man. The opposite became the case. Tinubu may not have the opportunity to choose the best guy for the job, because people are already in line to be compensated. Forming that structure at the national level won't be as easy as Lagos. The Tinubu I know before would have a vice before he even submitted his form. The Tinubu I know would never advocate for a Muslim Muslim ticket. He never did that in even Lagos. Even when Ambode fell out of favour, he picked a Christian to finish the 8 years. That's the kind of man he is. So that's why I believe APC won't do us much good, irrespective of Tinubu |

BlueRayDick: The bolded is where the main issue lies . Most people do not leave their safe space and do not understand what other fellow Nigerians go through in this present day .
One of the reasons my colleague relocated was this insecurity issue when it came to close to home for him. His parents are from Igangan where Fulani massacred people in cold blood ( which was one of the reasons Sunday Igboho took up arms after series of Farmers/herders crisis ) . My guy was livid and that period and was always lamenting how security has collapsed in those places . He was scared it could’ve been one of those days he travelled to pay grandpa visit and he was caught in the middle of the madness .
When his grandpa died his parents had to hire tons private security and police officers for their guests for the wake keep and burial for the two days. Immediately after the burial alaye travelled out with his parent’s blessings ( despite being their only child still in Nigeria as at that time )
People do not understand the hell other Nigerians go through physically, financially and emotionally as a result of these security challenges
I I finished service and started my life in 2015. I have worked in 3 firms. The first I resigned. The second was a bank and I resigned too. The third was an engineering firm and they retrenched us because they couldn't pay anymore. I was jobless and decided to drive on Uber. I drove 3 cars and two of them are on NL. My last partner was a guy in the UK. I have never met him or seen his Pictures. He sent me a pm, gave me his address in Lagos, and gave me his Hyundai Elantra to drive. When the car jacking issues were rising then, my family pressured me to stop and I refused. It was intense and I had to drop that car. The guy was really sad but that part ended. I decided to enter into automobile spare parts, and that's where I am now. Its lucrative, but we the small scale ones can barely stay afloat because of how the naira is falling. When I drag this government, its not for banters. I know where it affects me. I don't need to read online to know if Buhari is working. I see it everyday in my hustle. I know what it takes to make 1,000 profit. So if this government is favouring anybody, don't interpret is as a theory. People who drag them have their stories too |

Let me give you an example of how bad the insecurity is.
Last month, I travelled from Lagos to Abuja by road.
Maybe I'm wrong, but no bus was willing to pass through Ibadan, Ife, Okene axis. No single one.
Their new route is Ore Akure, then they run the length and breadth of Ondo state before entering Kogi. A very long and tiresome journey.
Their reasons are just two. 1) The roads at Ekiti are bad. The driver told me if he passes it twice, he should be planning of buying another set of tires.
2) Insecurity. Kidnappings happen back to back there, especially at Kogi. So they resort to using this longer route that makes the fare more expensive
I paid 17,100 (GUO motors)
Maybe if some of us left our houses and see some things for yourself, you'll understand how pathetic the issue is |

Oasis007: Boko Haram is well-known as a plague on the security of the Nigerian state since the group became radicalized in 2010. Officially it is estimated that between 2010 and July 2015, over 15,000 people lost their lives to the Boko Haram conflict—[b]though some estimate the actual death toll between 2010 and 2014 could be anywhere between 100,000 and one million.
In addition, the 2014 report of the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre and Norwegian Refugee Council have estimated that over 3.3 million people have been displaced in the northeast part of Nigeria—or 10 percent of the 33 million internally displaced persons worldwide.

Oasis007: Pre-2015, Nigeria Army were seriously under-armed. Bokoharam insurgents became increasingly aggressive and began to seize large areas in northeastern Nigeria. The violence escalated dramatically in 2014 and Boko Haram drastically expanded its territories.
The insurgents were driven back during the 2015 West African offensive by a Nigeria-led coalition of African and Western countries, forcing the Islamists to retreat into Sambisa Forest and bases at Lake Chad..... thanks to Buhari Administration.
Buhari Administration has rolled out the most significant response to Nigeria’s multifaceted security challenges, since 1999. Nigeria’s Law Enforcement Agencies have significantly scaled up their footprint across the country – Operation Whirl Stroke in the North Central, Operation Ex-Swift Response in border areas, several new Forward Operating Bases, Quick Response Wings, Commando Training Schools, and so on, and deployments of Special Forces.
Increased Investments in Arms and Weapons: Government to Government military deals with the Governments of the US, China, Russia, Pakistan, and so on have helped eliminate expensive and opaque middlemen. In April 2020, a first batch of 17 military vehicles (VT-4 main battle tanks, ST-1 wheeled tank destroyers, self-propelled howitzers etc) arrived from China, for the fight against Boko Haram.
The Nigerian Air Force has acquired more than 30 brand new aircraft since President Buhari assumed office in 2015, including 12 Super Tucano Jets from the United States Government. The NAF is also locally re-activating several previously unserviceable planes.
The fleet renewal efforts of the Nigerian Navy under the Buhari administration have led to the procurement of more than 300 platforms of various types and mix, including 267 flat bottomed, assault, rigid hull, survey, riverine patrol and whaler boats, 25 fast attack craft, seaward defence boats and inshore patrol craft. In addition, 1 survey ship, 1 offshore patrol vessel, 1 landing ship tank and 1 AW 139 Leonardo helicopter, and just of recent NNS Lana and NNS Kada. I knew you would list what he bought, and that's why I asked for how we have improved on the problem. Every government always buy more equipment than their Predecessors If Tinubu wins, he will still buy more than Buhari. Its very Normal in this country You only mentioned Boko Haram, which I can still show you that very little, if not nothing has changed. You haven't talked about Banditry, Kidnapping Killings in the SE and SS. Where were we on these in 2015, and where is it now? |
