This is from someone who lost her father in this madness.

His crime? He advised these guys to desist from terrorizing their own people.

They went to his house, dragged him and killed. Nobody found his body till date.

This is the history Elder wants to change?

UGM took my beloved 70-year-old father and never gave me the privilege of seeing his c0rpse.

Infact, one of the times I encountered his spirit and I asked him, where they bur1ed him?

They threw me away was the response he gave to me and walked farther away from me, never allowing me to see his face.

He showed me how he was t0rtured and for every time he showed himself to me, he didn't allow me to see his face.

He was carried from the house on the 7th of September 2023 and that was it.

Why?
For advising one of the boys to desist from those acts.
They saw him as someone aga1nst them.

Radio Biaaafra was already running before Buhari was sworn in. Anybody who lived in the SE can testify. I was staying in Thinkers Corner then.

Go to the frontpage and see someone's review of it in 2015. That thread is 10 years ago; Unfiltered

Then you want to tell me that it is Buhari that made IPOB adapt to his reality.

God will forgive some of you!

MonsieurCoder:
Sir, with due respect, if i did not have training, I will have said let thunder fire you!!

So Buhari's operation python dance is the reason NK and his boys started using guns to terrorize the same igbos in the East they claim to be fighting freedom for? Are you mad? Why can't they take their guns to the military barracks in the East and engage the Nigerian army to show their anger? Why can't they board buses to aso rock and face Buhari? Buhari and Nigerian army intimidated you and your solution is to start terrorizing your very own people that are victims of the exact same intimidation that claim you are facing. Let us all respect ourselves here abeg.
That has to be the most phoolish comment in the last 24 hours.

The ignorance in it cannot be cured in a decade

TemporaryHansel:
The Nigerian government created the version of IPOB everyone is shouting about today. They were peaceful from the start, until Buhari’s government decided harassment, raids, intimidation, and military operations were the correct response.

Meanwhile, herdsmen were slaughtering farmers and ordinary citizens with no consequences. People were begging for protection, and the government looked the other way. So IPOB adapted to the reality forced on them, as any group backed into a corner eventually does.

Operation Python Dance, the harassment of anyone linked to IPOB or even just being Igbo, and the constant intimidation created the monster they now complain about. You can only push people so far before they reach their breaking point. You can’t beat a child and then forbid them from crying.

And before anybody tries to twist my words, I’ve never supported Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB. I’m simply stating facts. You people are trying to rewrite a history we all lived through, and I won’t pretend not to see it.
I had decided to save my strength on this matter, but your comment has to be the "most gibberish" comment I have seen since yesterday.

What reality did Buhari force IPOB to adapt?

Go to the front page, and see a thread on Kanu written as at 2015. Meanwhile, Kanu was already running Radio Biafra before Buhari won (Yes, I was listening to Radio Biafra, when I lived at Thinkers Corner in Enugu).

You must not have an idea on everything. If you don't know anything about how the killings in the SE started, just sit it out.

You're not even seeing anything, talk more of pretending.

States are now shutting down schools indefinitely

The problem with this insecurity issue is that there seems to be no plan to solve it. Nothing at all.

We should be seeing more of the Defense Ministry and Ministers addressing the country. Nothing at all is being said

Roads in State A are good
Roads in State B are bad

For justice, let's destroy the roads in State A, so both states can have bad roads..

That's exactly what you are asking for, when you complain about yesterday's judgement.

Instead of asking for roads in State B to be done, you want them to scatter State A.

Let the paying of ransoms be stopped and life imprisonment be the standard, and not telling me Kanu should be pardoned because they are paying ransoms in the North

I laugh when you people say this. Blame FG that cannot secure the country. Even Tinubu is involve in negotiating with terrorists which I am against.

Lemme ask you a question. You are a big man in one community in the North with lots of farms. Terrorists, bandits came and ask you give us so so amount if not you won't harvest your crop. What will you do? Would you trust FG to secure your property or give in to the demand of the terrorists/bandits.?
We are talking about the attitude of our state leaders to the problem. Nobody is absolving anybody of the blame.

And your example of a "Big man" is wrong. Use a governor.

How can a governor negotiate with terrorists? Are you telling me that those terrorists I saw in that BBC documentary, are bigger than the entire Security architecture of Zamfara state? Brooo!!

Today, farmers are paying royalties to bandits, and a governor is there. I can understand if the situation is overwhelming, but we have repeatedly seen (from their attitude) that they have no interest in doing their bit.

monerozi5590:
Check my history you will see me blaming Buhari for saying that. He wanted to win election and he was saying nonsense to get the votes of extremists.

Same thing your Peter Obi is doing on the IPOB matter. Calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu that Kanu is not a terrorist and telling FG to use non kinetic approach on Biafran agitators.
I don't know if you deliberately decided to miss Nezzjnr's point.

His point about Northern leaders condoning terrorism is correct. The former Zamfara governor personally went to pay ransom. The former Katsina governor did same. We have seen meetings with public officials and bandits, so yes, Northern leaders are supporting, encouraging and maybe benefitting from the unrest.

The SE is not the same. You don't see their governors negotiating with IPOB. We have seen serious clamp downs in it. No governor supports Sit at Home. In a state like Ebonyi, sit at home is non existent. Mbah was almost about to arrest people for locking their shops on Mondays. The approaches are different

Yes, they will always say Kanu should be free, because they want to politically benefit from it. Tinubu once said he doesn't believe in One Nigeria. Tinubu has stated in the past that IPOB should be allowed. Does that make him a terrorist sympathizer?

The point is right there!

Most of the common people are already brutalized beyond belief, For every news that comes out about the killing another 5 news are just forgotten

I am sure you will never wish anywhere you have a loved one to become what most part of the North is right now
Scott Iguma posted a video yesterday and a soldier talked about why insurgency won't end.

And he said there are communities in the NE that have been deserted, but politicians still receive allocations for them. So, it's basically free money for years.

He also said there are areas that BH have taken over. You'll literally see them moving about freely, and there's nothing you can do about it.

No, majority dont see it that way.

Most of the people like spy are only emotional because he is Igbo, and some even consider him a messiah. Its a shame really

I normally don like to talk about this man. But I have so much hate in my heart towards him for all his utterances/orders which have sent so many innocent people to an early grave. I really wish Ekpa can be extradited and handed a painful sentence over here.

So many people do not even believe Kanu is guilty of the crimes he was accused and now sentenced for. They make strong, but blind arguement( which borders on emotions) for him. I always look away...both online and offline.

Ipob movement is supposed to be peaceful. But it turned bloody because the leader is hot a headed and arrogant man, who think he is at war with Nigeria...and if any of his own people disagrees, he should be put to death. Smh. How they got to the level being armed is what confuses me. And the moment they got the funds and arms, he became extrememly ruthless.

That man will be fiery dictator.
They simply forgot, not necessarily about being emotional.

The more the government kept him, and they began to see terrorists being rehabilitated, bandits not proscribed, and even being paid ransoms, everyone forgot Kanu and his dealings

When Sit at Home was hot, anybody get mind to come outside? Even till today, you will hardly get a night bus going to the East on Sunday evening. Do you know how much revenue those guys are losing every week?

Should we talk about how this matter escalated to Unknown gunmen? People will drive into a neighborhood and begin spraying bullets.

Na now everything don die down small.

You can make a case for the selective justice from the Federal government, but never put Kanu on the scale. That's the mistake Spy is making.

And to the North that is condoning all these terror, and protesting against foreign intervention.. Continue

One day one day, the only thing existing in Northern states will be the land mass... Nobody will be living inside
