Germs can make one fall sick so here is a list of some common germ infested areas we come in contact with.

1. Worn clothes: The germs on clothes can come from our skin as we have bacteria on them, in our skin and gut. These bacteria are usually harmless but some can cause infections in people with skin problems, broken skin or wounds. Most germs on clothes can be removed by normal washing.

toilet seats. However, the amount of germs on a phone isn’t a
problem – it’s the sharing of phones between people.
Without sharing, each phone carries just one set of
germs, and won’t get its owner sick, Gerba said.

3. Kitchen: It surprises me that a kitchen is a germ infested area however according to scientific study, the worst areas are the kitchen worktop, sink and dish sponge.
Another study proved that:
I. Your kitchen sink is squirming with germs;
there are 100,000 times more germs
present here than in your lavatory /
bathroom.
II. The sponge you use in your kitchen is
another trap for germs; thousands of
bacteria such as E. coli and salmonella can
be present per square inch of a used
kitchen sponge.
III.Cutting or chopping boards used in kitchen
are another major source of kitchen germs;
there are 200% more fecal bacteria present
on kitchen cutting boards than on a toilet
seat.
You should clean and disinfect your kitchen surfaces to keep you and your family healthy.

4. Hands: A hand that is unwashed or unsanitized contains a lot of germs. The germs are from what we touch, who we shake, etc. According to research from the University of Colorado at
Boulder, on average we carry 3,200 bacteria from 150 different
species on our hands. Washing our hands properly with soap and water reduces the chances of getting sick from the germs on our hands.

5. Public computers: We use public computers to access the internet when we are away from home, to write exams at school, etc. A fact is that anything used by a lot of people is bound to contain a lot of germs, so that a public computer does should not be a surprise.

6. ATM: Cash machines might be as dirty as your toilets. Your ATM
is covered with a lot of microbes which are usually harmless to most people however this microbes are capable of infecting individuals with a weakened immune system. So next time you use the ATM, you might just try to wash your hands!

7. Toothbrush: Your toothbrush is home to more than 100 million
bacteria including E. coli and staphylococci (Staph)
bacteria, according to researchers at the University of
Manchester in England . This probably won’t make you sick as the bacteria are present in your mouth as well but there will be a transfer of germs if they are used by others.
Also, when you are suffering from a recurring illness, it could be that you’re re-infecting yourself with your toothbrush. It is recommended that you change your toothbrush every 3 months or even earlier if the bristles are already weak or if you have a weakened immune system.
