I find it strange that clearing agents, prefer to just quote prices without giving you a breakdown of what the cost is meant for. I think the client should be made to understand what the agent is charging for his services, what is being paid as the actual import duty and what is being paid to the shipping company, I think this way clients can make more informed decisions. I just feel if I understood how the process works then I would have been able to make more informed decisions. |
femmy2010:Opel meriva 2005. Tin can port |
MrKong:. My brother, the way it is being practised today, it is not for Sadaqah but entertainment. If we want to give Sadaqah, we can identify people with need, and help them with their need on behalf of the deceased. |
femmy2010:Ok thanks. Do you think He is being fair with his quote. He actually sent me a scanned copy of the asycuda assessment invoice. And I will be paying the custom duty myself through the bank. However I just want to be sure of there is anything like paying the shipping company again? |
I want to clear my opel car at Tin Can. The agent gave the following charges which I do not understand. 1) import duty=321k 2) shipping company =50k 3) agent charges = 20k 4) other charges=20k The part I don't understand is the shipping company and other charges. Pls. Can u explain |

MichaelDee:Read about the Dogara's case, what it entails etc. Before making comments |
Churches are all about money these days; what a shame!. Only the catholics and Jehovah witnesses are admirable |
USA Knows about all the terrorism in this world. Only God knows the kind of script they are playing |
mathskill:No. That is not toasting. That is called sexual harassment |
SeverusSnape:You people are sick. CAN is just a shame, a big shame! . How many people of Igbo criminals whom are predominantly xtians killed. You just simply call them armed robbers or kidnappers etc. But when the criminal is a Muslim, then you make the issues about Muslims. You guys are sick. That woman may have been killed by anyone for a million and one motives. But you people are just too full hate |
Allah guides whomever He wills. Everyone shall see light of Islam or the truthfulness in Allah being the only one God. But the choice is His or Her to accept the faith |
I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Eid. May Allah accept your good deeds, forgive your transgressions and ease the sufferings of all people around the globe. |
publicenemy:you obviously don't know what you're talking about. That guy may have been the accounting officer for Fayose, He may have been the one that sourced the over 1 billion naira account. Zenith Bank has benefitted immensely from such a huge deposit. Demotion was just a face saving act, that's a highly resourceful staff, they would want to keep. |
If this true, then my faith in Buhari has now grown bigger. That a President's body guard can be arrested and interrogated is a sign that our security institutions are becoming stronger and the Presidency is perhaps not interfering |
I just pray and hope this works. It will be so good for this country if Dangote can pull this off. So so so good. |
latuaaa:Well, BRF just told you that FG is no longer responsible for generation and distribution, we need to be putting more pressure on the companies responsible for these services. They are simply making very little or no investment. |
Perhaps Nigeria should just start considering the possibility of importing POWER, we are not yet an advanced people. We still lack the capacity to manage our affairs. We may even consider hiring expatriate to head some of this key parastatals. Honestly, the fact that we can't manage power generation, portable water supply, Petroleum refinery, Ajaokuta steel production, mechanized agriculture and even a sports stadium is an indication that our capacity and capabilities are probably inadequate. Govt. In Govt. Out have failed to solve these problems. |
kingviny:Before AMCON can take over your business alot of options would have been considered, also a lot of time would have been given to him to start servicing his debt, but when all that fails, AMCON can take over. |
Men, don't know what to say. Hope I could meet the guy to hear his side of the story. I just hope He is not thinking that by returning to the street with suits, He would suddenly get help from other quarters. It may just not work out. Anyways who does a "Squeegee" in suits before Perhaps the guy get issues |
vodutive:May God bless you for the bolded sentence in quote. That has always being my position. We should care less about selective prosecution as long as those being prosecuted have a case to answer. If APC is selective today, then PDP will someday come and pay them back in their own coins. In the long run, everyone will be careful knowing that payback time is inevitable. It is not the best, but we can start from here. |
NOBODY WAS FORCED TO FAST IN KAKURI, KADUNA - MEDIA MADNESS!!! PRESS RELEASE BY KAKURI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION OVER THE FALSE ALLEGATION GOING ROUND THE COUNTRY AND BEYOND. 1. We wish to inform Kaduna Citizens and beyond that there was never an incidence that occurred in Kakuri where a Christian was stabbed because he was not fasting. 2. We wish to state the fact that Francis Emmanuel popularly known as IBOYI is a residence of Kakuri. 3. From our investigation under this community platform, we have gotten all the facts as to what lead to the incidence where Francis Emmanuel (IBOYI) was stabbed. 4. This entire issue is a case of a quarrel that ensued between some young men from Makera community and IBOYI who is from Kakuri. All the parties are not responsible people in the society. 5. What actually happened was; the group came and entered a road side drinking joint along Sokoto by Gora junction. The group were said to have come looking for their brother but did not find him. 6. They had several exchange of words with IBOYI who has finished drinking and was sitting eating Opka. IBOYI told them to leave the place and they responded by saying they didn't come to see him. He threatened to deal with them if they don't leave. He pulled out a knife with the intention of stabbing one of the gang member but missed and one of the gang attempted to hold the knife but cut his hand in the process. 7. A witness Nasiru Abubakar was busy trying to pushed away the gang to a nearby transformer but he couldn't make it alone as the number over powered him and no one on the street came to help him separate the parties. In the process one of the gang member tried to attack IBOYI with a scissors and Nasiru blocked him but another one had already taken the knife from IBOYI's hand and stabbed him severally. 8. A civilian JTF Stephen Godwin Sunday came to the scene which made the gang to run away. He was the one that took IBOYI to the hospital. 9. The star witness Nasiru Abubakar is a very close friend of IBOYI and was the one who made great effort in separating the incidence and had confirmed the incidence has nothing to do with religion or Fasting as was reported in the media. 10. It is unfortunate that some people misguided the public on the real story as to what had happened. 11. It is also unfortunate that efforts were not adequately made to reach out to the community leaders to find out the exact story before going on air. 12. We have all evidence and witness which we would make available to counter the lies going round. 13. We entirely condemn this act and support the security agencies to fish out the criminals and make a very good investigation to find out the exact story of the incidence. We also wish to plead on the security agencies to make the investigations public so that the true reflection what happened would be made public. 14. We have held an Inter Faith town hall meeting on Saturday about the incidence and the above outlines is a true reflection of our community over the incidence. 15. We call on the good people of Kakuri and beyond to remain peaceful and report any act of breach of law and order immediately to the appropriate authority. SIGNED: SECRETARY. KAKURI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. |
Why can't christians leave us to wear our Hijab What is the problem The Hijab would won on the heads of Muslims only, and only by Muslims who wish to. I don't get how that affects anyone |
Just don't know what to say about Christianity again. It is fast becoming a joke! |
Quakertellicus1:I have come to realise that the problem of Nigeria is Nigerians themselves. Regardless of whom finds himself in power whether Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba the result is mostly the same. Our leaders are a reflection of who we are. However, there a few of us whom are different, there are few us whom are productive and not too corrupt. But sincerely we are too few. Just as corporate bodies hire foreigners to help manage their companies, Nigeria's Govt. needs to considered hiring foreign expertise to manage some of our assets. To be candid, I think need a seasoned foreigner to manage places like NNPC, TCN, some of our agricultural programmes etc. This is not to say we lack the knowledge or intellect, we definitely have plenty of that, but we lack the discipline and maturity to manage ourselves. |
All these tribalism will get us no where. Nigeria as a nation has been reasonably fair to all the major ethnic tribes, it is we that have not been fair to ourselves. The Igbo-soldiers that led the very first Nigerian coup are almost as guilty as those blood thirsty hausas that retaliated in unequal measure the killing of Sardauna Ahmadu Bello. On Jan 15, 1966 5 major generals with 4 of them from the Igbo tribe plotted a coup and overthrew the civilian government at the time. The following were the victims of that coup: 1) Premier of Western Region: Samuel Akintola 2) Premier of Northern Region: Ahmadu Bello killed by Maj. Nzeogwu 3) Prime Minister: Abubakar Tafawa Balewa 4) Brig. Zakari Maimalari killed by Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna 5) Col Abogo Largema 6)Col Kur Mohammed 7)Minister Finance: Festus Okotie Eboh Lt Col. Arthur Unegbe9) Brig Gen. Samuel Ademulegun killed by Maj Onwuategwu 10) Samuel Ademulegun's wife killed by Major Onwuategwu 11) Col. Ralph Shodeinde killed by Major Onwuategwu 12) Lt col. James Pam It was easy to perceive the coup as a plot by the Igbos to subdue other tribes, while they take over power. It appeared like a systematic plot by the Igbos considering that Nnamdi Azikwe, the President was not killed, Premier of the East, Dr. Michael Okpara was spared. It appeared like a plot by the Igbos for the Igbos. Despite the casualities, this coup was unsuccessful, however it saw another Igbo general, Maj. Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi take over power from the civilian govt. All of the coup leaders, except for Maj. Ifeajuna who had fled to Ghana, were placed under arrest. Maj. Nzeogwu handed over control of the Northern Region to Ironsi's appointed designee, Maj. Hassan Katsina, before being escorted by Lt Col. Conrad Nwawo to Lagos where he surrendered to Maj Gen. Ironsi. General Ironsi used the coup as a pretext to suspend the Federal Government and bring an end to Nigeria's first republic. In the months following the coup it was widely noted that four of the five army Majors who executed the coup were Igbo and that General Ironsi who took over power was also Igbo. It was feared that the Igbo had set out to take control of the country and in the North of Nigeria the fear of Igbo dominance became intense. This resulted in the massacres of Igbo which peaked on the 29 May, 29 July and 29 September 1966. This was perhaps also exacerbated by Ironsi's failure to execute the coup plotters after they had been arrested. The Ironsi government's efforts to abolish the federal structure and the renaming the country the Republic of Nigeria on 24 May 1966 raised tensions and led to another coup by largely northern officers in July 1966, which established the leadership of Major General Yakubu Gowon. Northern soldiers had been enraged by the murder of their two most senior politicians (Prime Minister Tafewa Balewa, and northern regional premier, Ahmadu Bello), and four most senior soldiers (Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari, Colonel Kur Mohammed, Lt-Cols Abogo Largema and James Pam) by Igbo officers in January 1966. Kaduna Nzeogwu, Timothy Onwuategwu, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Adewale Ademoyega all later joined the Biafran army, in a strife to create the Biafran state. |
Omonda:There are intelligent people on nairaland afterall. That the soldier tried to disarm him, is probably true, but that He shot himself is most likely false. Regardless these guys should get a death sentence, they could have easily dumped him in the bush and speed off. |
Minemrys:It was in the bush, they probably thought no one would see them |
Barbarism of the highest order. I can't be too such it is even a sin to yank your wife in the bush. The youths are the sinners in this case and could have just easily walked away after seeing the couples |
Perhaps the guy get issues
