This is the same way Boko Haram carries out onslaught in the glare of the public with no resistance from Nigerian security operatives. People have often alleged that residents of those areas must be aiding and abetting Boko Haram, otherwise how could they just storm the city and then disappear without a trace. Hmmm...; perhaps we should think the people of Lekki are aiding and abetting these armed robbers!. How could they storm Lekki, rob comfortably and disappear without a trace ![]() |

Upright750:INEC never refused millions their PVC, it was millions that ignored going to collect their PVC, I am part of those millions, I only collected my PVC after the extension and it was due to personal reasons I delayed it. I still saw thousands of PVC yet uncollected when I collected mine. So INEC is not totally culpable in that regard. Anyways that is a matter that has been put to rest, we now have about 80-90% PVC collection and asuch that is no longer an issue. But despite this number of collected PVCs, PDP & GEJ still want to scuttle the use of PVCs, that is what the whole removal of JEGA is about, the man is resolute about the use of PVC, and PDP would rather we use the TVC, for obvious reasons. We need to stop fooling ourselves, JEGA has no means whatsoever to rig out a President, the power He has is to put instruments in place that makes rigging more difficult or obvious (as in the case with the PVC). |
profjustine458:I think this where I have to say: Nigerians deserve the hell they are living in. It is just so pathetic how Jega is being accused of being an APC supporter. What has the man done? He has brought us PVC, all in a bid to ensure a free and fair election, something GEJ is desperately trying to botch. Removing JEGA, is not the aim, the game plan is to allow the use of TVC (Temporary Voter's Card), which will afford GEJ the rigging opportunity He so wants. |
Buhari may not be the most eloquent in English, and perhaps not at his most alert stage in his life, but what I can definitely pick out is his sincerity. And that matters most than anything else. I am so pleased with the way He has responded on how He would handle the security situation. That was a honest and reasonable response. He would need to first evaluate how the Nigeria military has now reduced to what it is now. There is no way in this world anyone outside the Govt. can claim to have an absolute plan to end insurgency. How much intelligence / Information can anyone outside the Govt. have ![]() And He is so sincere, that He criticised the current Govt. so fairly with reasoning. He was honest enough to say He had no evidence that the FG was aiding Boko Haram. With regards to corruption, I am even more impressed: "what we could do without wrecking the boat further, is just to draw a line whichever case that is with the judiciary we allow them to proceed. Anybody in position to handle public funds must be held accountable immediately anything goes wrong, there is a system in place in every ministry, in every parastatal. " And that is where the sincerity of purpose becomes even more evident. Unlike the average politician who would promise you heaven and earth, Buhari simply acknowledges that the institutions to fight corruption are already in existence in Nigeria, the only thing to be done is to allow those institutions run accordingly. Buhari will make a better President. That's all I can say. |

Ikengawo:This is cool. We should be seeing more of this. |
I am not surprised. What do you expect to be written after a coup Which Newspaper house would write against a new Head of State after a successful coup. That Newspaper would simply be locked up the next day. However, I can gather that Buhari+Iiagbon chose to be very strict and rigid; honestly that is what Nigeria needs now; something like China. You embezzle public funds, you die!!! Simple; the earlier we treat corruption with the disdain it requires the better for this nation |
Yes. We are finally kicking this Govt. in the butt; they are feeling the heat now. =N=87 is not where we are going, because with =N=87 it still means FG is raping us. We should be talking of =N=60, considering how price of oil fell. Wait again, is there still subsidy FG tell us are you still paying subsidy Like father like Son, Nigerians are criminals, no wonder I saw many filling stations selling fuel today (Sunday), even stations that would normally not sell. Barowos they knew the price would be reduced. |
ADVICE: Allah the Exalted says in Surat An-Noor, ayah 31 “And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allaah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful” |
resty4:Can you start telling us more truth about how your plane ended up in South Africa loaded with millions of dollars. Or the truth about how u acquired the plane in the first place ![]() |
Kwankwassiyaa:People can just be funny. you took notice of 2 women wey wear hijab in Kano among the hundreds that u would have seen wearing hijab!!!; if u could be so sure the women were the ones that detonated the bomb in that particular shop, then you must have been close enough. Then u definitely won't be alive!!!. Dat ur security man just dey yarn gist. |

... It just goes to show there is more to this BH stuff. It is either FG is also playing pranks or US is playing pranks on us. |
Bsmartt:Ameen. and may it happen now |
chidiebere2020:Tell me exactly what you want the Northerners to do Sanusi encouraged his people to arm themselves against Boko Haram, you criticized him, some Northerners tried to broker peace through negotiations / amnesty they were faced with criticism and in the end the FG backed down. Many Islamic clerics whom criticised Boko-Haram are being hacked down; many of the communities being attacked by Boko Haram are being attacked because of the refusal by the community to support or allow Boko Haram to operate in their domain. Youth volunteers under Civilian JTF are putting their lives on the line to support the military. What more can they really do![]() The question should be what exactly is FG doing? Just early last month Boko-Haram was on the back-foot, but what did FG do They announced a cease-fire that was non-existent. In fact I am suspecting FG knows more about BH. |
lalasticlala:Issues have disintegrated to the level where you can not ask the people not to arm themselves. What I expect Govt. to do is to manage this vigilante groups, don't just leave them to themselves. Govt. should assign military commanders to manage their operations. The vigilante's shouldn't be seen as an armed group on its on but a volunteer-group willing to assist the military. |
I support Mr. President on this one. Sacking coaches has never got us anywhere, I agree with sticking with Keshi. It takes time and persistence to build a good team. What NFF needs to do is to give Keshi the full backing, so that Players will understand that if they don't play well, they would be the ones leaving the team and not the coach. |
Dee60:Exactly the same question I have asked. When Oil price was going up, we never knew the impact. The best we heard of is that the Money is being saved for rainy days. In less than 1 month of the price of oil dropping we already feel the immediate impact . The FG is talking of austerity measures but at the same time it approved 9.2 bn Naira for the purchase of stoves !!!. Bros. JONA, no be just one chance, na one catastrophic one chance. Nigerians should just pray that God provides a better President whether in 2015 or 2019. With Mr. JONA. things can only get worse. |
bobotejay:Ameen Ya Allahu |
Trailblazer1:This should tell you that BokoHaram is not about Sharia and it is not about Islam. It is about something else, it is only orchestrated to appear like it is about Islam. The north has Sharia already, the north has muslim leadership already, the social life of the average northerner is close to islamic already. Boko Haram is a smoke screen. |
I weep for my country. I weep for my people too. See what 9.2 bn Naira can do: A 2 Bedroom flat at =N=4,000,0000: No. of flats: 9200000000 / 4000000 = 2300 units. With all the housing problems in Abuja; if the govt. invested this amount of money in building quarters for just Federal Govt. staff in Abuja; would it really go a long way in helping the people and the civil service There are so many better things that 9.2 bn naira can achieve!!!. This is wickedness, and anyone who doesn't see the dare-devil wickedness in this, then He or She should know what goes around comes around. Every drop of that 9.2 bn naira will be embezzled!; what sort of avarice is this in the time of austerity![]() |
I am really surprised that Agbaje is regarded as a popular figure, just last week someone mentioned him in the office and i had to ask who is He? As in what are his credentials What is He bringing to the table as his achievements / track record![]() |
dammybambo:This post was meant for people like you. The man is HUMAN, The man is a mere mortal, He would die just like everyone else does Die, He won't even have the benefit of knowing when He will die. So many great pastors before him have died, some in air crashes too. |
When you win 2 - 0, even without really playing too well. A BIG CREDIT IS STILL GIVEN TO THE TEAM. To win away is a big thing |
I am so so upset with SuperSport; they are making this match only available to premium subscriber!. This is a National match for God's sake, to add more salt to injury they are showing Mozambique & Cameroon's matches live to non-premium subscribers. This is really a disregard to the importance Nigerians put on Super Eagles, and it is not their fault, when Nigerian stations can't also manage to show matches involving their own National teams. SHAME ON NTA. |
Both shud start. Emenike should start from the right wing, while Uche and Aaron Samuel start upfront. We need a big striker to roughen up their defenders, Emenike will be a tough cookie to mark when coming from the wings and He does give better crosses. |
A challenge for you guys? Mention 3 people whom are most befitting to become the.Nigerian President? And Why? |
atbu1983:Simple as ABC |
The bottom line is Fashola could still have done ten times better than He did, but the sad part is given all these same resources, most other Governors would have performed much woefully. You are talking of Lagos!, Nigeria has much more money. What can we even say Mr GEJ has done with it Instead He is removing subsidy; He is increasing import duty . If you compare the generated revenue of lagos per the population, then you would even find that the state is poorer than the Oil producing state, what can you see in those states IN THE LAND OF THE BLIND THE ONE EYED MAN IS THE KING. This is our story. |
