Bros. that won't work. I understand that these politicians have not given us much in terms of their achievements. But they are not different from you and I. Just Imagine yourself in their position, with 100K per month earnings!!!. How do you function. Being a minister is a full time job, that will take most of your time. Therefore they deserve to earn a comfortable wage i.e their immediate needs should be well taken care of.

The problem is not really about their legitimate earnings, but more about their ill acquired wealth from fraud etc.

Minister's salary are determined by law; Buhari alone can't review it downwards without amending the law. Frankly speaking 13.47 million naira annual salary is not too much for a minister. My boss at work earns twice that amount. That 13.47 million naira also covers the salaries for his personal staff. I think this issue is being exaggerated.

My Verdict: I have always thought the disparity was too wide, but I do not support the Ebonyi Govt's decision, I would have rather preferred it was reduced from 170K to like 100k, while the savings is used to pay other corpers more. may be something in the range of 40k-50K. Engineers, Doctors, Pharmacist etc are all professionals and I do not think one professional is better than the other.

When a team is not doing well, the coach usually gets the axe, it is usually the coach's fault for non-performance. So also it is the coach's right to make some decisions. It is his right to determine who to call to camp, who to become captain etc. These players are reacting in this manner because it is a Nigerian coach, they can resign all they like; Oleiseh is the boss, He is responsible for the team's failure so let him do it his way. It is for the players to respect the coach's way and follow him regardless.

Besides that, what is the ND actually contributing to the exploration of crude oil in ND, besides that it was God's given. My cousin applied law in this year's jamb and also wrote the post utme exams but unfortunately her name was not released and she took the supplementary form and the staff at the school's admission unit told her she will be admitted to study Islamic Studies.
But this girl is a devoted born again Christian and since the doctrines of Islam and that of Christianity are in direct contradiction as it might affect her walk with the Lord. She requests for advice.
Should she take up the course as she has been home now for 3 years due to lack of admission, and she says she cant stay home any longer.

As a muslim my advice is bound to be bias;however let me correct the wrong notion that the teachings of Islam and xtianity are totally different or as you put it: "... since the doctrines of Islam and that of Christianity are in direct contradiction..".

It is true that the critical part of the faith of a Muslim is very different from that of a Christian, for we believe in the existence of Only one God whom has no son.

According to the Quran, Jesus is not God's son or even God himself as some Christians believe. Jesus was a Prophet of God in a long line of Prophets that was sealed with the Final Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him).

{Say: He is God, the One and Only God, the Eternal, Absolute. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.} (Quran 112:1-4)

{Oh Mary! God gives you the good news of a word from Him. You will be given a son: his name will be the Messiah Jesus, the Son of Mary. He will be noble in this World and in the Hereafter. He will be among those who are closest to God.} (Quran 3:45-6)

However, there are many parts of the christian teachings as found in the Bible that are in line with Islamic teachings. I can't advice her on what part to follow with regards to her career, but I would tell her what harm can it be if you got to study about Islam, just for the sake of knowing what it is really about. At least you can get more facts.

And there are, certainly, among the People of the Book, those who believe in God, in the revelation to you, and in the revelation to them, bowing in humility to God. They will not sell the Signs of God for a miserable gain! For them is a reward with their Lord, and God is swift in account. (Quran 3:199)
