@ Akola & Nateevs,

I can't believe Grant still wants to win the Premiership.
What is he thinking?

                          Cech

Ferreira        Terry      Carvalho     Bridge

     Essien            Mikel             Ballack

        Anelka                         Malouda

                          Drogba

It will be nice to see Geremi square up with his ex-club mates. . . .
C'mon, BARCODES. . . . . . . Show Chelski what u got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can HISTORY repeat itself at St. James' Park in the Premiership??. . . . .

2003/04 Newcastle 2-1 Chelsea
2004/05 Newcastle 1-1 Chelsea
2005/06 Newcastle 1-0 Chelsea
2006/07 Newcastle 0-0 Chelsea
2007/08 Newcastle ?-? Chelsea. . . . . Chelsea havent won at St James in as many as 7 years. . . . Can the BARCODES do it again?

@ Superstar1,

Just saw ur comment. . . .
I was watching the Arsenal ladies take the piss on Leeds in WOMEN'S FA CUP.
Blimey. . . . if Arsenal ladies replace their men, they could win the PREM title.

Anyways, Man Utd will win the UCL.
Man Utd 3-1 Chelsea. . . . . . .
Letz hope Fergie turns out the right team.

@ Akolawole,

Please go to court.

Real Madrid have just retained the LA LIGA title . . . .

What a game by Arjen Robben and Raul Gonzalez. . . . .
5 mins to go, they were losing 1-0 to Osasuna. . . .

Boom!!!!!!!!!! Robben scored the equaliser and Higuain scored the winner. . .
There's something about front-runners. . . . They just dont give up!!!!
This is why i worry about Chelski's futile chase. . . .

yebariba:
in the garden of eden when the devil wanted to decieve eve and put the whole human race in trouble he confused her with the idea of being equal with God and knowing good and evil; lets not talk about where that has led us.
Now the devil has come up with a new one and again its the women folk that he (unknown to the women because they don't understand these things) employs to carry out his evil ploy. the devil has again sold the idea of female liberation and sex revolution to women and they have bought it hook line and sinker.
the fact that this path they have followed has not paid off is not detering them from following blindly. today we have more unmarried women, more single mothers and more emotionally wrecked women and all thanks to sexual liberation.
the fact that majority of the people living with aids are women has not made women see the futility of trying to be like men. men and women are not the same and will never be the same and the sooner women realize this and accept their limitations the better for them.
has women liberation help the women get more happiness and fullfilment in life? hell no! ask the single 45yr old single company executives with a hundred million dollars in their account and not man to go home to and they'll tell you the truth (if they really want to be honest that is).

Tevez, Scholes, Park? Were they injured?

@ Dr Dre,

It's now 6-0.

Henry and Bojan are fighting for who's gonna bang the hatrick.
Its a joke. . . . .
How can a team so toothless against Man Utd score 6 goals in less than 80 minutes against Valencia. . .

It's either Valencia is worse than Derby County or Barcelona was tamed by the best team in Europe(Man Utd).
The combination of Henry, Etoo, Bojan, Messi, Gudjohnsen, Xavi, Deco couldn't get a goal in 180 mins of football. . . .
It's ridiculous.

I have never seen Henry play so well in a Barca shirt. . . It's like the HENRY of Arsenal.

@ Ibime,

Ibime:
This season is not over. Based on stats, we have only lost 3 games this season. You have lost 5. This is despite manager changeover a few games into the season. No need to talk anyway, we will see you in the CL final plus the season is not over. One thing I trust Chelsea for is that we do not lose games easily.
A team's strength is determined by the number of league games they have WON. . . .and not the games they have LOST.
This is why i always say Mourinho's 1st season at Chelsea was better than Arsenal's UNBEATEN RUN season. . . . On the current stats, United have won 26 league games while Chelsea have won 24 albeit a game in hand. . . . .That is what keep United on top of y'all not the LOSSES.

Pensioners like Scholes, Giggs, Van Der Saar and Neville?

Of our current squad, only Makalele and Belletti are older than Ferdinand.

Anyway, lets not talk. Let history bear itself out.
Does this data truly reflect what we are talking about?
We have got Nani, Anderson, Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez as starters all under 25. . . . .Please tell me the number of under-25s u have got in your team.
Are u aware the difference between the age average of Arsenal and Man Utd is LESS THAN 6 MONTHS?
Son, don't even compare United's long term plans with Chelski's . . .  .

@ Jackal

Arsenal's presnt position is not that bad, ok they,ve been trophyless for some time, but we just narrowly lost the fight for the premiership, apparently Utd had a better squad than us this year and deserve the league, but it still holds a lotta promise for the future.
This is ma problem with Arsenal. . . . U guys love talking about the FUTURE as if other teams will remain stagnant and watch u guys shoot off.
Lil did u know other teams are prepping for next season as well.

Ferguson is going to the market to get Bosingwa, Huntelaar and maybe a deputy left back to deputise for Patrice Evra.
Chelsea will prolly buy 6-8 players. . . . .Avram Grant was handed a 100 million pounds cheque to get players. . . . .
It's like the survival of the richest in the Premiership these days so i cannot see Arsenal matching their rivals. . . .
Obviously, a team like Arsenal will show loads of resilence at the start of the season but the quality of their rivals will tell in the final lap.

What Wenger needs to do is to get more bodies into that team. . . . .They dont have to be 10 million pounds players.
Any player in the region of 1-2 million quid with the ability of Hleb should do. . . .
If Blackburn can get Santa Cruz on free transfer then Wenger should be able to nick 3-4 players in Europe with a similar ability.
No squad with 10-15 players can win the Premiership.

Akolawole? Check your facts very well.
Tim Howard was on loan at Everton since August 2006. . . . . He did not join Everton permanently until Feb 2007.
Everton decided not to play Howard for their own reasons. . . . It had nuthing to do with Man Utd.

Chelsea will be back? Back where?
Roman needs a a massive overhaul to be on Man Utd's level. . . .

On todays match, One good turn deserve another sha. ( Of Tevez,Relegation battle and Old time Friendship)
Howard wasn't in goal cos there was a clause in his contracts that he cannot play against Man Utd that season.
FYI, I heard Nicholas Anelka will not be playing against Bolton next week. . . . Is that anutha conspiracy?
Phil Neville made an error that resulted in an own goal. . . . .Was John Arne Riise on Chelsea's pay-roll too?
Nigerians and their conspiracy theory. . . . .

Are u trying to say Curbishley and Moyes gave Ferguson 84 points this season.
Ok. . . . lemme guess, Arsene Wenger also dashed Man Utd 3 points at OT. . . .Just like Rafa Benitez gave Fergie 6 massive points this season.
I should also say Peter Kenyon helped sack Mourinho in september so Man Utd can beat Chelsea to a pulp.

@ Mystikal,

Negative!!!!

Good players dont always make good teams. . . .
If England had a manager like Ferguson, they would be in Euro 2008. . . . .England didn't make the Euro 2008 cos they hired a joke of a manager.
The English players in Man Utd are the best around. . . .Rio, Hargreaves, Scholes, Carrick, Ben Foster and Rooney are all top draw.

I am not saying Wenger sgould have acquired those players cos they were English. . . .
All i am saying is Wenger should have added quality to his team without spending as much as he spends bringing in African players like Eboue.
Aaron Lennon was 1 million quid as at 2005 . . .12 months later, he made the world cup team. . . . Peter Crouch was less than a million when he was @ Southampton. . . . .Ashley Young was at WATFORD last season. . . .Why can't Wenger catch players like these young and blend into his team?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Jackal1(m): 9:06pm On May 03, 2008
@ Mystikal,

This issue is not even about money. . . .
It's all about Wenger's crazy youth policy and his hatred for English players.
We all know teams like Ajax in the mid-90s and Man Utd in the early 90s all won titles with young players but times have changed now . . .
Other teams are not stagnant but Wenger is. . . .

He cares more about making money for the club than spending big.
Aiiiight, aiight. . . . .lets even assume Wenger does not have the spending power of Chelski and Man Utd. . . .what about budding English players of 2-3 years ago? Lennon, Crouch, Agbonlahor, Ashley Young etc. . . . . .
If u know how much all these players were worth before joining their current clubs then u will be gobsmacked at Wenger's transfer policy.

@ Mystikal,

There's 100% guarantee that Arsenal woulda won something if Vieira and other old boys had been retained.
What the Gaynners seriously lack is leadership which Vieira-Henry-Ljunberg could have provided.

Fabregas was already acquired. . . . there is no way he wouldn't have been discovered because Vieira would suffer injuries and age aint on his side.
Man Utd is still keeping faith with Neville, Silvestre, Giggs and Scholes so what are we talking about here.
Players like this have tasted titles. . . they know exactly what is needed when pressure mounts unlike buncha unproven featherweights that predominate the present squad.

On the issue of funds, what are u talking about?
Arsenal charge the highest gate-taking in the whole UK. . . . . .94 odd pounds per seat and 3 million pounds generated every matchday.
Wenger sold Henry, Vieira, Ljunberg, Lauren and co and what did he buy to replace the old guards? Diaby n other pillocks. . . .
He will not win any title if he does not change his policy. . . . Cheap players will definitely produce mediocre performance.

Glad we came against Arsenal?

I have always been against Arsenal. . . . It's the most over-rated team in the world.
Shitty players, crooked manager, appaling philosophy.
This team is so far behind i cannot see them winning the Premiership in the next 4-5 seasons. . . .
Arsenal needs a huge turnaround. . . . . SACKING Wenger might be the KEY.

@ Pein,

Wigan is whupping Aston Villa!!!!!
This simply means Wigan will be well over the relegation waters to worry about Man Utd next weekend.
Nothing to play for and Bruce is Fergie's lad. . .

Whereas, Chelsea need to beat the BARCODES who are still trying to prove a point.
Grant will also slug it out with Bolton @ SB. . . . Bolton is scraping points everywhere they can get one.
Chelski wont find it easy against em.

Too late. . . .

The best team already won the title.
United have been the best team, playing expansive football, scored more goals, conceded less goals, won more league matches.
Ferguson's team have played the most eye-catching and the most audacious footie in Europe.
Add all that to the might and power of the HOLY TRINITY and United's are champions elect!!!!

@ Pein,

The funniest bit was i predicted this league finish as far back as September/October last year.
As at then, every Gaynner fan felt the league woulda been won by Arsenal as early as january. . . . .
They kept ranting about how their team is the best in the land and reh reh reh. . . . .

Comaprisons were made. . . . .It's either Cesc versus Ronaldo or Gallas versus Ferdinand.
Most of their moronic lots even tried to compare Ferguson with ARSEne self-servicer. . . . .It was ridiculous.

@ Pein,

I am confident United coulda beaten Chelsea last weekend if Ferguson really needed the game.
He played a Carling cup team in me opinion. . . . . No Ronaldo and Tevez starting in a game of that magnitude?
Ronaldo + Tevez have scored almost 60 goals this season alone. . . .U can always tell Fergie didn't want to get the lads knackered for Barca.
Chelsea's strength shall be tested in Moscow when all the big guns would be playing.

@ Vinisky,

The thang about United is their sheer HUNGER.
United lads know all they need to do is 3 points to win the PREM TITLE. . . . .
I dont any team in the Premiership that can stop em from achieving that, not even CHELSKI.

Wigan has nothing to play for. . . .
They are above the relegation waters so a win, loss or draw does not damage anything.
The only worry about the game is the state of their pitch. . . .JJB stadium is worse than Enyimba stadium in Aba.

It's Man Utd Vs Chelsea. . . . . .so United is virtually the HOME TEAM.

@ Pein,

Fergie had to explain to CR7 the reasons for the change. . .
I suspect it was the foolish yellow card he copped . . . .He can break his record at the JJB stadium.
Afterall, CR7 is a winger. . . . he aint a goal-poacher like Shearer or Henry so he deserves some credits.

@ Imani,

United won because they anything less than 3 points will blow their title hopes into bits.
West Ham won last season because United had already won the title. . . . . It's no rocket science.
