On the night of 14–15 April 2014, 276 mostly Christian female students aged from 16 to 18 were kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram from the Government Girls Secondary School at the town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria. Prior to the raid, the school had been closed for four weeks due to deteriorating security conditions, but the girls were in attendance in order to take final exams in physics.

Till date we can't tell how many of those kidnapped by Bokoharam are still held in captivity. Yet the Nigeria army always makes post and publications of killing the leader of the terrorist group. but no evidence to back their claims.

Now to the issue of Israel and Hamas group who kidnapped about 240 citizens of Israel inclusive of foreigners. Not to even mention the death caused by that act which was more than 1400, we can all see the damage the Israel Military has done to the Hamas group just because of that October 7 incidence.

Why is the Nigeria army not doing same to Boko Haram terrorist terrorizing the Northern Part of Nigeria. Till date, they are still fighting Bokoharam. Tomorrow you will hear they have kill Bokoharam leader.

this is a parable. if care is not taken both babies will fall. but the opp can help look for a job for any one of them, so that they too can have a source of income. and with words and encouragement, they can stand and gain themselves back.

At a very young age my parent divorce, i was 5years old my brother was 6 months then, my mum left without looking back, that made life very uneasy for me and my brother, unfortunately my brother got a little bit lucky (he was took in by my dad sister) so as for me, living with one family members or the other but finally i start living with my grand ma when i was about 15, but grand ma is fond of swearing and all sort of abuse, thats when i met this friend of mine, he live very close to my grand ma's house and one way or the other the relationship got very good and i started staying with them, (me, my friend, his mom, and his younger brother) in a room, the mom was not bothered about feeding us. During the holidays we do petty jobs like, labourer at bricklayer site, block industry, water factory, any job we lay our hands on we do it so as to help reduce the workload with the mother. We got to meet someone who introduce us to church, we start living a good christian life and things started going smooth.

To cut the story short i was ahead of them in education, i finished my secondary school, they are still school. unfortunately an offer came for me to study computer software and hardware in an institute which i went for, that led to cut in ties with them.

After a long year, i met them today, this morning.. but to my greatest surprise my friend has a plaited hair (like that of women, very dirty and untidy) and the brother (boy) has about 4 waste bids on him.. they look high on drugs early in the morning on Monday.. i felt really bad and unhappy about the situation i met them, because i feel indebted to them, for taking me in and offering help

Now my problem is how do i help them, have ask people for advice some feel i should just let them go, because they are different person now.. but some feel i should help them

The problem is that am not financially buoyant to help them in anyway, because i work under an institution where my salary can only sustain me and my family (of 2 kids)

My question is this:
Should i help them?
Should i just ignore?
how do i help them?

You have a very kind heart, Yes I must admit that. Not everyone have this kind heart of your's.
Now that you have said you are not financially buoyant to help, the only thing I would advice you do now is this, since they are not as enlightened as you are, check if they are working, earning anything for themselves to fend for themselves, if the answer is no, try and look for a job for any one of them using your influence/power/ referal. As for the girl, you didn't state her age catergory. If she is still young enroll her for a skill she can use to make something for herself later on in future. (catering, tailoring, hari making and many more skiils) or you can ask her what she wants to do. Since you both have stayed before, discussion like this will not be difficult as you both will flow freely. Don't mind the level you are now, relate with them and see how you can be of help to them. Things happens and its part of life. we can be of help to one another.

People are really going through alot. what could make a grown up woman like this want to take her own life? Suicide is not an option. Life is not for the weak and faint hearted. Life itself is not fair, you have to be bruttal and strong to live long here on earth. You have to learn to learn to fight back certain things, be it insult, defamation, bankruptcy, health challanges and many. If you sit and and make yourself comfortable, you will just see yourself hanging and before you know it, you are gone. Last Last, they will tell you RIP, but you will not be there to read all the criticism.

the action or process of investing money for profit. What I am saying in actual sense, is that what you did was not a good investment considering the factors on ground now. But understand that in investment, you either lose or gain. But in your own case now you have lost and you ran quickly to cry to us about your loss. Last week I created a thread talking about how my japa plans have been crushed due to the increase in dollar.

Many adviced me to invest in dollar, this was the advice they gave me months ago but I did follow through because I wasn't sure.
My last thread hit front page and 90% of the comments were advising me to invest in dollars, one even quoted that in the past 10 years, the dollar haven't fallen but it increases every year.

One even called me a weak minded person and I am scared to take risks.
After everything I thought to myself, since so many people felt this dollar will keep on rising, maybe I should invest afterall life is all about risks.

Well guess what, dollar have decreased, I invested 3M in buying dollars and now in today exchange rate. I have 2.6M now and I either cash out now or hope it will increase.

Right now, I am very angry.

The increase in dollar which you want, will cause more untold hardship to Nigerians and many companies. I quit understand you are running at loss already. But understand something buying another currency with the hope its going to increase in the future is not an investment. Those who advised you, advised you wrongly. there are other investment you could have done . FIXED ASSETS like land is what you should have invested your money into. Buying dollar to keep is like buying cryptocurrency like bitcoin and others. YOU either withdraw your money now and let go of the loss, or if you can take more risk, leave it and see if it will appreciate more again.

I was about to write on this yacht thing not quit long. But just had to pause. The question I asked myself on top which water are they going to use that cruise yacht? also, is the yacht necessary at this time that the economy is crumbling and most companies are moving out. I just even a company I know of with over 1500 workforce has opened a branch in another neighbouring African Country while they are relieving people of their jobs here in Nigeria.

Yes, sure before some one would want such, he or she would have considered the risk aspect of it. And whatever the outcome is, the user will bear the consequences. I love the days of java and Symbian phones. Tweak their app, not all but those we could modify, it comes out good in some while some app crashed totally, even our phone follow crash too, not to mention systems that had to be reformatted, just for the sake of trying to modifying a program source code. I really appreciate all the response you guys have given.

I understand the legal and financial implications. But it will be a good idea if they allow customers to tweak their app to suit their own taste. Definitely it's not going to be all customers but for those of us (you and I) who understand what the heading is all about, it will benefit us. Me especially. Wish I can just have a fin tech app with no transfer option, no data purchase option and some other options that are not relevant to me.

hello friends, its just a month to christmass, the most widely celebrated festivity around the world, and in Nigeria inclusive. but see how things are now. bag of rice 50k+ Transaport fare is now twice the old price. The Nigeria economy is not friendly now. Some weeks ago I was at one of the packs and I asked the customer care unit, how much is their bus fare now to the south, She told me 20k, what used to be 10K max. who knows how things are going to be in December.

Will there be Christmass this year under this current TInubu Regime? how many house hold will be able to afford a bag of rice for 50k? ingredients are not there yet oh.

That can only happen when you have access to the app's source code. Almost all apps on Play Store are not open source. Besides that modifying a closed-source app without permission can land you in trouble, that is PIRACY. But if it is an open source you can modify it to your taste. The Kali, ubuntu, Xubuntu, and blabla OS today were all modified Unix source codes.

Yes. thats true, you are right about the open source thing. It will be fun if most of the apps release their source code so that those who want to tweak can tweak and get/remove any functionality the user don't want.

As the topic says, is it possible to edit an already created app (Andriod and ios as a case study) from a developer, you remove some menus you don't want and compile it again before installing it on your andriod device?

lets look into fintech app as a case study. Be it Opay, Palm pay, MOMO, Regular bank apps and others. Lets say I own an account with PALM PAY. Normally if you install and sign into the palm pay app, you will see all the services they render, transfer menu, airtime top up menu, data purchase menu, betting top up menu and many more. lets assume a user don't want the data purchase menu, as well as the betting top up menu in the app, is it possible to remove those menu ?

Note this is for educational purpose.

I Remember some years back, when We were using opera mini browser for mobile phones , UC browser, BOLT , THEMES (JAVA AND SYMBIAN PHONES), We could tweak those apps to suit us. Especially on the aspect of appearance, welcome sound when the phone is turned on or off, and some other features.

1. Is the man she is involving herself with married?
