I contacted a developer last two years to develop a ride sharing app like Bolt, we agreed on one million and he sent me invoice and I paid 200k advance. I was going to pay in 3 stages which the first payment is 200k.

This project was going to take around 2 months to complete and he was supposed to show me progress along the line upon which I’d send the 2nd payment, but he never did.

After two months no delivery no message from him, I allowed 2 weeks more before asking him what’s up on the project delivery? He started give me a little more time, before you know it 4 months and that’s when I started feeling uncomfortable and demanded for refund of money as written on the agreement we both signed and shared in pdf over email.

As you already know story has entered it, please give me a little time to source the money, that he already thought he would be delivering the project before I called it shut. He wasn’t interested in delivering the project he just need time so he could pay me back from his statement.

Later on about 6, 7 months of there about, I got an Nft agency and consultation deal, and had to outsource deferent parts of the project. I contacted this guy because he said he’s good with digital art, said he can handle the arts, after like 2 day he sent me a UNIQUE artwork he just drew, said it’s his work, he started from the scratch, only for me to go to google reverse image to find out where he took the image from, the date and the time the image was hosted not just on a website but blockchain. The image was already on chain. Then I know this guy isn’t an honest person.

Please it’s been over 2 years now. I’m thinking, it would cost me a lot to leave for Lagos from where I’m currently and I don’t live in Lagos. I’m thinking if I could get anyone he who lives somewhere close willing to assist me anyhow to get the money and take 20k. That’s what I’m thinking though.

I need advice on how to retrieve this money not in parts but as a whole and without spending not more than 10% in total.

Please advise!

very simple, client not picking your calls again and not responding to messages. tell driver to jejely return your phone back to you on his next trip back to lagos. tell am say client nor buy again. once he bring your phone back, collect your phone and give him 3k. your mistake. you should have negotiated a price. Most of these drivers if they see the content of your parcel thats when they will now tell you your bill is 20k, 10k and more higher price.

let me go straight to the point.

During my NYSC days, I was posted to the Northern part of the country Nigeria. I served with an IT firm cos of my skills and knowledge.

In this company where I served, we had a secretary who is a local ( i mean from that state, LGA to be precise ) working with the firm.

the firm is into skill acquisition and IT training. So i got to meet alot of people from far and wide even international bodies came too for inspection of facilities.

So there was this guy from the East, who do bring systems to us for fixing and upgrades too. he is a big boy in the town because he was well known and had many shops in the LGA for his business services. This guy lives in the Northern part that was where he established himself.

After sometime I observed he always frequent the company, even when he had no issues to be solved, Being a sharp guy like me, I knew it was the secretary that he was always coming for. my guess was right. After some time sha, me and this guy became friends and that was how i now knew he was asking this girl out after which he started dating this girl.

So this guy was a tech expert like me too but in different NICHE. So when i have issues too I do visit his shop for repairs (phone to be precise)

this guy got an apartment for this babe, and was also sponsoring her in school there in the north, and off course allowances too even throwing birthday party for this babe, cos i have attended one of the party before I left that state.

checking online this morning now this same girl is getting married to another man. Not even that Eastern guy that had sponsored her in school.

Note this Eastern Guy IBO to be precise was not a graduate, but could read and understand, write well too, business oriented, he was making a good living from his niche in that state where he is living.

My little sis lives in Egypt and I was supposed to send her 700k to sort out some bills there, she sent me the account details I should credit, the account is a Nigerian account, and have sent money to her multiple times through same receiver's account (the receiver collect the money in his Nigerian GTbank account and give her Egypt currency equivalence).

She came back to Nigeria yesterday, she needed the money on Monday, and I couldn't reach her from Last week Thursday till Tuesday evening. On Monday, I sent the 700k to the account she gave me earlier, and dropped her a message on WhatsApp, and on Tuesday evening, are number were active, she called and told me that she is already in the airport and not possible to return to the guy's house to get the cash, because she will miss her flight (to visit the receiver house in Egypt it will take 3hrs+). We have both been trying to call the receiver and he has be ignoring our calls, he even blocked me.

Please guys, I sent the money through my Union Bank, the receiver bank is Gtbank. I already called my bank to see if it can be reversed and they told me they will contact the receiver bank and see what they can do.

Please I just want to know my probability of getting the refund, anyone who have experienced such please advise me. 700k this period is not small, abeg.
