I think u can over prepare n still forget under pressure...buh the God factor is Omnipotent. From wah ve read on here from previous transcript. It was like I was treated like a phd student (some ll understand wah i mean) cos it was so fast...2 mins I think

Few years ago, I was on gmat thread (wrote it 3 times), later Canada, and now US and now heading toward POE info thread. just saying dont give up, keep main focus, even if u ve to change intermediate focus

I doubt if much can be learnt from my post tho.

I think u shouldn't ve led the vo on with the question, u sounded like u prepared a transcript for him n wanted him to follow it. I guess that's why he asked if u had a letter from em. Sounds like he's used to seeing that pattern n Would ve exerted a kind of negative vibe towards u. I'd love to hear other people's comment too sha.

Not condemning, just feel u can also work on that towards yr next interview.

Firstly i will say there should be no discrimination about type of schools, i got plenty condemnation for picking a community college or going for an associate degree, so far you can defend your choice of degree ko matter. My interview was smooth until my past hunted me due to agent assistance the last time.

And also dont give anybody any document at the USA embassy gate until you enter.

I had gone through an agent for a visiting visa,(the agent worked everything out) but this time i did it my self but in my ds-160form where they asked do i have any relatives i selected no

I was denied Canadian student last year for 2 reasons 1) they re not sure I'm a student 2) I don't ve financial n personal asset.

Im going for US student visa now and considering doing valuation for my piece of land with stamp. Considering the cost of valuation -25k+, Is it worth it? I just have the impression that the US embassy ll ve access to that info.

Secondly, someone was telling me that I need a reference letter from lecturer n employer, employment letter for the interview...re these actually needed cos I do not see any on people's transcript here.

I think if they really want to sponsor you, there should be no difficulty in printing their soa for you. Thinking logically, If that's too difficult for em to do, It raises doubt that they ll be ready to touch the funds in their acct for ur sake.

I need ur advice. I got an admission n scholarship of 18000, tuition n living expenses of 40000. My uncle is my sponsor (different surname). I'm considering applying for student loan with (prodigy/discover) to prove financial suffiencency.
Would really appreciate your comment as I do not know how us embassy works with different surname sponsor.
BTW,

I'm going for MSc in economics n my gmat score is 700.

Talking of writing a good sop, is it safe to tell the VO my aspirations of going for a PHD (management) and lecturing as a profession after the completion of the masters programme in management (which is what I actually ve in mind) since you ve used employer as home tie and tendered just a year study leave

It's over a month I requested for gcms notes and it's still not sent how long does it take.

Got refused in August so I ordered for my gcms note. BSc economics, work experience - economic n business analyst...got MSc admission -management (supply chain management). Gmat score 700.
I thought my sop was dope until I saw purpose of visit the major reason for refusal (would definitely be working on other refusal reasons buh I know u guys can help with the purpose of visit reasons)...I'd appreciate anyone who would like to go Tru my sop for correction. Other corrections n advices would be appreciated as well

Hello everyone and kudos to the gurus in the house. I need urgent clarification on this scenario : the landed property document ( Deed & Survey) i want to use as one of my home ties has my middle name written as " Shola " instead of " Sola " as on my credentials and Int'l passport. My first & last name was written correctly. This mistake was made by the property company i bought the land from. Can i use these docs (Deed & Survey) or i should use The land receipt which has only my first & last name. Can these docs create unnecessary doubt in the mind of the VO ? Please advise.

Bro, i would suggest you include the survey like that. i think land surveys are the important document since they can be verified easily (dont know about the receipt tho). i dont think they would penalize u for such a trivial difference (thats if its noticed in the first place).
